Didn't Macron go on a rampage to cut wages, cut pensions and generally shrink the French government, in a matter not dissimilar to American right-libertarianism?

Yes, but Agarn also supports the Labour Party and did support Bernie Sanders.

Keynesian economics isn't at all an extreme. Hell, it's centre-right economics and the prevailing orthodoxy of the West until Reagan, Thatcher, Clinton and Blair all came along and put a stop to it.

Its what we need. I have been waiting for a recession that would bring on neokeynesianism, and i believe it is here.

Literally Blairite support right there.

LMAO how fucking witless can you be?

blair took labour away from keynesianism and pivoted it towards the prevailing neoliberal new world order in the 90s.

The difference is merely cosmetic and rhetorical except in a few respects. Both support market intervention, only with different motives. Both support the ideology of individual gain and collective loss, one just does it through QE and the other does it through offloading government assets.

Modern neoliberalism is very different from the old adversary of Austrian economics, more than many would think.

theres a huge difference in policy, with keynesian key industries being nationalised for example, strong safeguards, council housing that isnt being sold off, the tax rates, etc

Just because something isnt the ussr dosent make it neoliberal

Right, I suggest that the two of you show some restraint in dealing with one another, I realise that the two of you may not be particularly amicable but you both need to put that aside and at least be able to avoid needless provocation with one another on the OOC.

FYI everyone!

The GOP Presidential debate will be taking place immediately following the Texas senate results.

We are also shaking the format up a bit from the last one, which was something of a beta test.
