How's that speech? If it absolutely flopped, then Goldman is dead-on-arrival.

It's a touch high-minded and didn't really touch on grassroots issues but there wasn't anything wrong with it, per se. The exploratory committee stage is one where you can go around and do some fact-finding. Save the big addresses for when the main campaign kicks off.

I was looking for a decently populated town in decline, and the other options were Ohio, Michigan, Kansas and Arkansas.

I could've gone with the former two, but North Carolina is a super Tuesday state as well, so...

I'd have picked Michigan to counter the 'Democrats are neglecting the Midwest' narrative, personally.
