Maybe, what do you offer in exchange?

First of all? Wealth - preferably to the tune of 2 Wealth for every 1 Labor. I'd also let you buy Bronze Weapons at a very favorable discount once my mines are up and running.

Pah. Your monstrous Doge is nothing but a servant of the dark between the stars. Or, potentially, a heckin' good boy.

Like, I said it's reallly hard to not play the Dark Elves I'm thinking of ditching the Arameri and playing the Dathomer.I'll keep this around just in case...

Civilization Name Goes HereThe Dathmeri Horde
Map Color:Blood Red
Brief Description:The Dathomer are the dark brethren of the Arameri. Worshippers of a darker, crueler, more bloodthirsty version of their God Arkane who calls on the sacrifice of the living to fuel his insatiable hunger. The Dathomer were deemed heretics by the Aramer and banished from Myth Ellanor. They've wandered the world as raiders and pillagers enslaving entire tribes and selling them on the black market or sacrificing the innocent to appease Dark Arkane or as they call him Azarath.

In order to come closer to Azarath, they've used to Methods to become Dark Elves. Stronger, faster, adept at blood magic, and greater at breeding then humans or Aramer. After wandering as a horde from years gaining a reputation of terrifying warriors and enslavers they settled in the land they call Azarath in the name of their dark deity. A land of volcanic wastes and gnarled strange alien life.

They've have domesticated the silver drakes of that land turning them into Black Dragons, enormous beasts with armor as strong as steel and capable of breathing fire beasts of legend.
Starting Location: A volcanic wasteland.
Civilization Specialization:Blood magic and raiding

I like the concept, but just so you know - transitioning to a horde won’t suddenly accomplish making even stronger and better Elves, nor taming a difficult-to-game beast. If you want the Dark Elves to start with those, the not-Dark Elves will need to develop them...

Hmm their not better they're different. They don't have a arcana research bonus nor do they live as long as the Aramer. They wouldn't be have a +50% Dao cultivation bonus either.

This would be during the founding of Myth Ellanor and they'd at this time be a small cult of Azarath. They've long been banished from Myth Ellanor and using the Methods all those years transformed themselves while raiding across the world.

Most likely they would be less developed than their Arameri brethren and less populated as well. As for the Black Dragons, I was using that as a starting resource/technology.

So the Dark Elves are better warriors but suck at magic research, compared to their High Elve brothers who are better mages but suck at warfare.

Ha ha! Yes, but unfortunately I'm also the most clueless. My poor Karowans would be absolutely beside themselves with fear if they knew about the Puqina. As it is - they're just going about their lives, oblivious to all danger. :p

So @G-Tech do the Dathomer get the greenlight? In regard to the earlier points I made?

As for Silver Drakes, I'd be cool with the Dathomer just domesticating them and that being a starting resource and tech for them.

But on second thought I'll continue playing as the Arameri it would be a drag to start over.

I will have the Dathomer be canon and have Queen Fey remeber making a horrible decision in expelling the dark heretics during the earliest days of Elven civilization.

Having black dragons at start sounds like to much power to start. Also it would directly be a threat to my magic research plan which is equally annoying.

I just love ruining other people's plans :p

But seriously I've changed my mind they would instead be silver drakes.

This fine then, I remember when Nux introduced fairy dragons next to Saladonia and I ended up calling them drakelings. That was as far as he was willing to bring the feared dragons into this world, due to danger/immense power.

I will use Dark Passages to learn the location of some drakes and be making real dragons in the future.

Fairy dragons are the closest, just inject growth hormones and you'll get the beefy boys you want.

Hey Kelm, I been wondering what the Light people would think about Val and his followers, as it's Val's faith to denounce conversion and preaches for quality followers not quantity.

I guess the religions need to react to one another before there stance on one another is clear. Any suggestions on styles of worship? Val loves ingenuity and cleverness, and I want it beyond the simple primitives styles of sacrifice and food offerings.

Hrm. Sure. I'm not sure I'll approve the Dark Elves having already conducted their own transformation and taming of the most difficult to tame animals in the known world, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
