Awesome, I’d love to hear your idea! And what do you mean by target, just curious.

By target I mean someone will probably die tbh.
General idea is a Russia-like kingdom with massive land area, tundra, and whose origins are, uh...slightly religious (But possibly fictional). A lord made a contract with a Goddess of War and basically cursed his whole bloodline for physical frailty in exchange for Sword Saints (Think Warhammer 40K Living Saints minus the wings). It exceeds the Demovorn Empire in sheer landmass.

Kingdom App: Name: Ambaranyë
History: With the death of the last high king of the mighty house of Ñoldóran in battle against the first emperor of Denevorn the Ñoldóran empire of the elves came to a sudden and ignominious end. From thence the elves became increasingly a wandering and exiled people, kingless and without a government capable of uniting their disparate tribes into a polity strong enough to contend with the power of the rising mannish empire. The remaining princes of the great elven houses retreated to isolated lands and princedoms over which they could role in splendid isolation from the world of men, but the dream of a united realm remained alive in the hearts of the elves. The opportunity would come from the, for the elves, most likely of sources; the half-elves. Under their chieftain Elerondo i Perelda the half-elves set about building a kingdom of their own, one far more open and tolerant than the high kingdom of the Ñoldóran. Elerondo, laying no claim to the high-kingship though he was from his elven mother a descendant of the House of Ñoldóran through a policy of careful diplomacy gradually convinced the great elven magnates and lords to join together into a commonwealth, or republic, called in its foreign correspondence, Ambaranyë. An essential figure in facilitating this Gathering of the elven lands, or
Yomenië, under one government was the Lady Ñalatáriel. As the last surviving grandchild of Ñoldóran herself she was of impeccable breeding and but for her sex may have claimed the high kingship herself. Instead she choose to lend legitimacy and support to her distant nephew Elerondo, a great great great grandson of Ñoldóran, who was also her son-in-law.
Climate/Geography: Known Best For?:Leader: Ñalatáriel Arafinwëndë nossë Ñoldóran i Ñgoldo and Elerondo Eärendilondo nossë Marach i Perelda among others
Government: As a collection of formerly sovereign fiefs and lands Ambaranyë has a decidedly federal governing structure with the individual lords and magnates of the realm exercising great control over their respective domains. At the central level power is chiefly exercised through the Ñgólemwë Heren, a council of the principal leaders. Admission to the Heren is decided by unanimity among existing members. Of the nineteen members who has served on this body since its founding under the later days of the High Kingdom only six has not been members of the House of Ñoldóran and only two, Elerondo, a half elf, and Tóril Melyanna, a dryad sorceress, has not been elves. Despite this fact the council is at least technically open to people of non-Elvish and non-Ñoldóran origin and it is routinely convened with participation of non-members some of which has been humans. In particular the council has at times extended invitations to attend its meetings to the most powerful rulers of the mannish kingdoms and the emperors of Denevorn has had a standing invitation to the council proceedings since the founding of the Ambaranyë though this may be little more than a formal nicety as mannish rulers rarely have the time, or interest, to attend the meetings of a foreign state council.
While the powers of the Heren is mostly informal and advisory and it has no authority to compel individual lords and rulers of the states of the Ambaranyë to do anything the council possess enormous normative power and as its decisions are reached by consensus and with involvement of all the great lords and ladies of the Ambaranyë the council decisions is effectively always honored. The council is empowered to serve as a high court of arbitration in disputes between the lords of the Ambaranyë, to conduct a common foreign policy, to review and interpret the ancient laws of the High Kings. Finally only the council, by unanimity, can name a new High King, a power the council has never excercised but nevertheless maintain that it possess.
Ñgólemwë Heren- Elerondo Eärendilondo nossë Marach i Perelda, Lord of the Pereldar, Viceregent of Ambaranyë and the High King
- Ñalatáriel Arafinwëndë nossë Ñoldóran i Ñgoldo, Lady of the Galadānórë

Putting up my own WIP:
Name: Asmodea Brightflame
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Appearance:
https://thepinkseat-askthemoonbunny.tum ... l-tieflingBio: Dea was born the only child to the wizard Mahal Brightflame, a once-famous adventurer and arcanist who was constantly on the search for ways to increase his magical power and knowledge like most wizards. During one of his experiments, he tried summoning a being of great power in hopes of enthralling it to his service using forbidden texts he snuck from the locked palace archives but instead he summoned a beautiful succubus woman...Arcylia the demon queen. At first she thought to kill this mortal for having the audacity to try to bend the power of demons to his will but in reality she was kind of impressed by his power and determination. He failed to enthrall her of course but he earned a bit of her admiration. A rare trait found in mortals so she decided, fuck it, I’ll have this guy’s kid and they had a child together, Dea, named for her grandfather Asmodeus. Her parents were pretty great, meaning they didn’t kill her for being born and actually tried to raise her as normally as possible.
Being a cambion, growing up wasn’t easy for her by any means...she got shit for her heritage like most of her kind, but one mention of her parents (especially her being in line to be the next queen of the underworld) makes most fuck off real quick. That helped a bit, but of course it couldn’t save her from everything. She found solace in studying magic with her father and proved to be quite a quick study, and he was devoted to her. He even let her study forbidden magic, illegal but he thought that magic was all dependent upon the wielded and that magic wasn’t inherently good or bad.
Race: Cambion
Occupation: Wizard Imperial to the Empire
Personality: Dea is a bit withdrawn and serious due to the discrimination she faces
Powers/Abilities:
Strengths:
Weaknesses:

So... Instead of bee people (overused due to their “civilisation”-like mannerisms), we get wasp people, or anything related to bees and wasps as long as it isn’t bees.
It’s a very interesting concept...but I’m having trouble seeing where they’d really fit in this setting. I’m so used to seeing insect people as more of a sci-fi thing

Kaziimar wrote:Yes, theres actually two main kingdoms left. I have one (and the Empire), and two are reserved by other players. Maybe I shouldn’t limit the number to five, widen it a bit so that players can have a bit more action.
Also yes, half-humans are more than welcome.
How neat.

Prepare for some casual racism / misnaming / general notcaring from Cernvinjev. Also, how long ago was your kingdom united completely? Will definitely help in figuring-out how seriously I treat you.
Also, casual bump I guess.

How long it has been united? I don't know, I linked the fall of the High Kingdom to the rise of the Devernorn empire so it depends on how old the empire is.
As for the name, as I mentioned its a term used only in foreign correspondence and it refers more to a form of government than a country. To the extent that its people regard themselves as being subjects of a unified country they refer to it simply as "the Realm", "the Commonwealth" or "the Republic". Foreigners might call it Álfheimr, Elvenhome or Elvenesse. These would be considered rude names however.

I’m liking the apps so far, I’ll review them more in-depth when they’re done. Ornate and Quendi, I see the work you’ve put on yours...they’ll be super interesting to play with. When I get home tomorrow, maybe we can discuss a more in-depth magic system.

I really want to see a hard magic system, with concrete rules. It should be difficult and costly to do magic, like full metal alchemist, and have rules that severely limit the abilities of magic wielders in order to justify nations and races that focus on tech instead.

The tech won't really be that advanced, since this is a pretty classic fantasy but I do agree that a magic system does need rules.

Perhaps an IC to show how it should go? Or a reboot, when more information is available.

Just gonna post my in-progress app to indicate that I'm still interested in this.
Kingdom App:
Name: Githzhank Jra ("Kingdom of the Giants", in the Stone Giant tongue.)
History:
The creation myth of the Stone Giants is as follows:
In the beginning, there was Dshalkhrythru, the First Principle, who carved himself out of the emptiness before Creation. Dshalkhrythu gave birth to a pair of twins, Tyalvlakhthru, God of the Stars, and Tvarlkvarthna, Goddess of the Soil, then began to meditate. Tyalvlakhthru and Tvarlkvarthna mated and produced two children, Sun and First Earth. Sun was impatient and erratic, while First Earth was quiet and lethargic.
One day, Sun looked over First Earth and decided it would populate the world's surface with its own children. These were enormous beings twice as tall as those that exist today, with skin of golden metal. In its arrogance, Sun had filled its children with its own essence, which was the essence of Tyalvlakthru, and none of the essence of First Earth or Tvarlkvarthna. Thus, the Golden People were infected with a seed of pride and ambition. They built a civilization that lasted for centuries, but eventually their pride grew to the point where the existence of beings above them in strength seemed an affront to them, and they resolved to kill all the gods and take their places. Sun saw this desire in their hearts and, outraged, it resolved to kill its creations before they could do so. It scorched the surface of First Earth, destroying everything it could find, but there were always pockets of survivors hidden in caves, who rapidly repopulated and cursed Sun even more. Eventually Sun became so enraged that it tore First Earth apart in order to destroy the Golden People once and for all. First Earth, in its apathy, did not resist this attack at all.
What Sun failed to realize what there was always symmetry in these things. The action of destroying of First Earth's body provoked an equal and opposite reaction - the destruction of Sun's mind. Sun fell into a deep sleep, and began mindlessly circling First Earth's remains. One half of First Earth became Moon, who was like Sun, but cooled by the power of the Soil, and Earth, who was like First Earth, but warmed by the power of the Stars.
Moon, following in Sun's footsteps, decided to create its own people. It learned from Sun's mistakes, however, and decided that it would prioritize ensuring that its creations would not rise against it. Moon thus decided to divide its children into different shapes, to ensure they would have to rely on each other and thus would never become arrogant. Its first and greatest children were the Stone People, who were mostly of the Earth and the Soil, and who were made to rule and to conquer. Its second children were the Cloud People, who were mostly of the Moon and the Stars, and who were made to teach and to listen. Finally, it made the other Peoples, such as the Fire People and the Forest People, who were of varied and irregular essences, and who were made to labour. According to tradition, Moon created the Peoples at the peak of the holy Mount Tvraltayal, the "centre of the world", where east, west, north, south, sky, and land meet. After Moon finished his work left Tvraltayal, the discarded raw material he had worked with became a strange kind of diminutive homunculi, who called themselves "men" and "elves", and who had no purpose.
From there, the various Peoples spread across the Earth, settling it and taming it. The majority of the Stone Giants and Cloud Giants remained in the Tvral mountain range.
the City-State of Rjaqlesh
Climate/Geography: Mountainous and cool in the higher regions where the majority of the population resides, gives way to humid jungle along the outskirts.
Known Best For?: Being the most powerful Giant state on the continent, and thus claiming to rule over all Giants. Also, their archers - A Stone Giant with a proportionally-sized bow is less of a warrior and more of a walking siege engine.
Leader: King Jralhikskasqu, son of Jralguhaksi
Government:
