Hi, and welcome to my RP. As you likely guessed, in this RP you will play the role of an NBA executive or owner. You take over your team at the beginning of this past FA period. Kawhi Leonard is still a FA, mulling his decision after winning a championship with Toronto. The Thunder still have their superstars, though a sense of impending and necessary change is looming over the organization. The Lakers, after missing the playoffs entirely, are completely retooling, though their newly acquired superstar Anthony Davis paired alongside King James himself are not in any way looking to take their time in launching into contention, instead fixed on launching themselves to a title. The Warriors look to regather their core and hopefully swoon Durant to prevent what many view as an imminent departure, viewing their recent defeat as the sad price of unavoidable injury, a setback to their not quite finished dynasty. Many other teams stand by, just as eager to write their narratives and push forward in the never-ending march towards the elusive championship. As an executive, coach, or owner, you will be tasked with running your team in the role you select, interacting with a number of officials, players, agents, and others as you guide your team through the coming seasons. You will have to meet with free agents and convince them to come play for your team, you will have to wheel and deal with your fellow rpers if you wish to trade, never knowing what the other side may be thinking at any given moment. Players may become dissatisfied and demand a trade, fans may become outraged or enamored by the teams success or lack-of it. The possibilities are endless, all you have to do is join in and enjoy the adventure.
This RP will be driven more around the storylines of the game than the actual game itself. Some individual games will be rped and posted, but only some, as the NBA season is long and playing out 82 games for each team, not including the playoffs, would just be insane. This is a very different RP than what I've been a part of in the past, and as we continue I believe it could come together quite well.
Since you are playing as the owner or executive of an NBA team of your choosing, your application will be centered around the role you wish to take. As an owner, you will have to fill out an ownership application, as an executive, you will have to apply for your desired role within the team (your options being general manager, head coach, or president of basketball operations). For all applications, you will be asked to describe the direction you intend to take along with several other basic components of an application. Feel free to apply as existing officials/owners if you'd like. If you do, just describe how you see the team approaching the future.

3)Be cool to other players. I understand that people get heated on NS, but lets try and keep it relatively civil. IC disagreements are one thing, but we are all here to have fun so lets keep the OOC as cool as possible.
4) Don't metagame. We'll all probably post about plans and such, so lets not try and use information from confidential meetings that get rped to our advantage. If your character wouldn't know something, then neither do you.
