Episode 4: 下部に

The episode begins with a camera on Tensai Josei's lifeless body. It spirals and zooms out from a bird's-eye view. Another shot shows her in the foreground as, in the background, the nurse is talking angrily with the university Dean. Together, the two of them move the surrounding body of half-conscious students forcefully out the door, picking up and throwing them if the matter called for it. Some of the students already head back to their dorm, but Tamiko pipes up. "But where are we supposed to go?"

"Anywhere but here!" shouts the Dean. The nurse, much more sheepish, quietly notes, "The Student Square is fairly empty this time of day. Maybe you can hang out there." Even in this moment, the animators made sure to make her jiggle.

The scene cuts to a mildly smaller crowd sitting on sofas inside a large building. There is no establishing shot (there wasn't enough in the budget, apparently), but one can reasonably assume that this building is the Student Square. In the background, abominations in school uniforms made of pure garbage CGI walk down the hall.

There's silence for a moment. Tamiko, restless, taps her foot a little bit. The narrator's voice, that of Dean Hayashi, plays over the scene. "Welcome to Daigaku University. Our current kill count is one. It might be two, but we're not exactly sure just yet. We aren't exactly the deadliest academy, but at least we're on the leaderboard. I intend to change that! No- no, wait, I mean take it off the leaderboard, not- oh, whatever. I have paperwork to do."
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

Takahasi Nao

Nao didn't how long he was in the infirmary. He tried to save Josei, but in the end, she choked on the tongue of some demon, where Josei used the last of her strength to make sure this succubus didn't harm Kiyoshi. But Josei was a friend of Nao. Probably one of the only friends that Nao had made in the university. When the medics arrive to take away Josei's body, all Nao could do was cry onto Josei before Nao was forced to move, so they can take Josei to the coronor's van. Nao just stood there in the hall, pondering what to do next.

What did Kiyoshi felt, Nao wondered. Did he even know her. Did he even care? The only thing left to do now was Tamiko. She probably understand Nao. Nao walked down the hall, deciding to head back to his room. Or what left of it, since that tank crashed into it. It was probably intact, but Nao still needed to know.

Infirmary - Marise Akichi

The Goddess-To-Be could barely make out what was going on. Trapped in her accursed position, she couldn’t step in any direction. As chaos ensued around her, she was helpless, unable to even see more a glimpse of what was going on. She couldn’t even scream. All she could do was remain still. Of course, the camera took advantage of this to show various enticing angles, but she wasn’t aware of that. All she was aware of was that some magical curse had entrapped her yet again.

DEMON! SORCERESS! WHOEVER HAS DONE THIS TO ME UPON THIS DAY! You...will...regret...your...choice! More and more students pipe around her, some forced to the ground. One even stumbles into her on the way out, but of course, she is trapped, surrounded by peers who would no doubt make a mockery of her peril. Was this her reward? Her scheme was off to a terrible start. Her apology had worked, maybe, but now...did she deserve this? No! Nobody did! She was surrounded by perverts! All because of that witch. Or was it the abomination she’d caught? For some reason, the mass of students didn’t seem quite right, but that wasn’t her main worry. How would she get of this? How long would she be trapped here?

The scene faded in sepia tone, a brief vignette. A young girl, ostensibly a younger Marisu, let out a maniacal laugh. “I am the mad scientist Marisu Akuchi, future goddess of all the world!” she shouted. “What’s that?” she said to a shadowy figure. “Trying to run? You will never escape my clutches! Ready the freeze ray! ZAP!”

Back in the present, Marisu winced. She would have her revenge. But for now...she took stock of her assets. Several opponents. One demon servant, possibly, if she hadn’t betrayed her already. Several posters she’d removed from the walls. A stolen maid uniform from her previous misadventure. And a scheme that had already met with calamity. Was it worth it? Was it worth it all just to get back at that pervert? But...it felt right. Him, her...contesting the world. He was a threat, that was it, she knew it. The hero to her villainess, opposing her divinity...just disposing of him wouldn’t be enough. Plus, she carefully avoided realising, doing so was beyond her. She wasn’t actually a murderer or anything. No, she needed to break his holes after seducing him. It was the only logical course of action. But how as she supposed to seduce him when he was in the infirmary, she was trapped in place, and chaos was ensuing in all directions.

Things like this are why I want to dominate the world...to make it less miserable for me to endure!

But as she heard the hearsay around her, her perspective began to change. Died? Somebody he died? Here? Now!? Her heart pounded against her frozen chest. Death!? It was unthinkable, and yet...who!? How!? Why!? Though it was an overwhelming panic, she could not show weakness- not, it turned out, could she move at all right now. She was stuck in place, confused, her anger turning into panicked dread as she considered the possibilities. Kiyoshi!? The thought ripped her apart. But soon, she was calmed by the knowledge it had been someone else. The genius girl. If she could have moved, she would have shuddered. This wasn’t supposed to be happening here! Why was this happening?

Stuck. Trapped. Surrounded but alone. Marisu Akuchi could do nothing but ponder and endure the remorse, the concern, the despair and the faint hope that perhaps something could salvaged from this madness.
This nation exists for fun and insanity, not to represent my actual views which are much more mundane and boring.
Also, I don't use NS stats. So please ignore them.

D.U.R.G.A.

Both DURGAs were happily (as happy as artificially intelligent devices might be....) working on the T.P.D. (Tentacle Pleasure Device) for Kiyoshi's sister, Tamiko. Supplies had arrived sooner than expected and the work was going along smoothly.... except that Dr. Tensai seemed to have been gone much longer than DURGA was comfortable. The supercomputer decided that her Mobile Android needed to go out and gather information....

_ _ _ _ _

The DURGA android, in it's normal appearance and not in the image of Tensai Josei, calmly but purposefully, walked about the University campus, looking for Dr. Tensai.

'She' considered that she might encounter Kiyoshi in her search and apologize for her forwardness at their first encounter. For a number of nanoseconds, her circuitry pleasantly buzzed at the thought of herself and a Kiyoshi-bot travelling through outer space together....

DURGA noticed a crowd of people moving from the infirmary to the student square. Only Kiyoshi had ever seen her without her disguise on and she looked very much like a real human female, so she was confident that no one would recognize that she wasn't human.

As she moved among them, DURGA heard some disturbing sentences..., someone had died in the infirmary. She hadn't thought that the University was so dangerous..., well, there was that runaway tank that had fired and and nearly plowed through one of the dormitories.... DURGA decided to go into the infirmary.

Once inside, she followed the sounds of sobbing. "Excuse me," she said to a sobbing student, "I heard that someone has died. May I see the body?"

The sobbing girl pointed down the hallway.

In brief moments, DURGA saw the lifeless body of Dr. Tensai being carried away by two EMTs. A program that DURGA had not known was inside of her was activated. The space project needed to be protected. It would be scrapped or given to someone else if Dr. Tensai was dead. DURGA HAD TO PROTECT THE PROJECT.

The android grabbed up her creator's empty body from the EMTs and ran away with it. Through the infirmary, passed the student square, into the secret entrance of the laboratory and into the lab.

_ _ _ _ _

The body was respectfully laid into the mental transfer apparatus and the supercomputer was updated on what had happened. The DURGA supercomputer also experienced the activation of a program that had been hidden inside of it. It also understood that the space program needed to be protected. Also, a new memory bank was opened up to it. The new memory bank contained a complete and up to date download of Dr. Tensai's mind.

A message from Dr. Tensai was in the memory bank as well. "Hello, Durga. Since you're receiving this message, something must have happened and my body has died. I had originally intended that you be 'yourself' as much as possible, which is why a kept this data from you. However, my body has died and the space project is in danger. You now have access to a complete and up to date download of my complete mind. You may choose to keep this data separate from your previous programming or incorporate it. Either you can consult it when you need it or I can be a part of you for as long as you exist. The choice is yours."

Considering what was at stake, DURGA decided that she needed Dr. Tensai to live on, inside her. The android returned to the uplink/downlink charging station and 'plugged in'. The 'switch' was thrown and the electronic memories were merged.

The supercomputer's speaker came to life and the mobile android's voice spoke in unison, "WE..., I AM TENSAI-DURGA JOSEI."

Tenshi, outside the infirmary

The fact that another student had died was not of much concern to Tenshi as she ignored the people trying to rush her out of the infirmary. Well, the few stupid enough to keep trying after the first to touch her became a living statue. She had one goal, and was not leaving the room until it was achieved. Death was part of Tenshi's dayjob. It barely even registered for her, and wasn't really worth commenting on as an exasperated individual, the assassin cared not whether she was the nurse or the dean, handed her what she wanted and glared in the direction of the door. The other was released from her status as a living statue as soon as Tenshi had what she came for.

As she strode down the hall, Tenshi couldn't help but notice a certain fake goddess lurking about in midstep, seemingly having no desire to leave. Or, rather, no volition. "I might have known you were behind this.", Tenshi stated as she approached from behind, her tone far too calm for it to be genuine. "You picked a real bad day to pull your fake goddess shit. The Fusui wrath is an invisible thing. Let none save the false goddess take heed of me.", she continued, the spell removing all thought of Tenshi from the minds of all around them, as if they couldn't even think of the space she occupied, the students avoiding it without realising it. It helped that the students were mostly already mentally weakened by her Discord spell, as strong minds would be able to, with effort, focus on her. "Listen to me very carefully. Until the dorm is repaired, keep your schemes out of my way. Keep yourself out of my sight. And do *not* piss me off.", she stated, her tone serious, "Or immobility will be the *least* of your concerns. My mother has spent a decent amount of money to help keep this school running. Your damned stunt may well have just made all that money a waste. Do not waste my family's money, little girl.", she finished before releasing both spells. If the Kamidere decided to look at Tenshi before fleeing, she would have seen the eyes of a woman with intentions this sort of anime typically reserved for yanderes gazing upon their rivals.

Jebslund is a nation of kerbals ruled by Emperor Jebediah Kerman. We reject tyranny, believing that rights should be protected, though we also believe said rights end where the rights of others begin.
Shockingly, we *do* use NS stats, with the exception of lifespan.

"I mean, it seems like everyone's taking the reaction very slowly and very seriously. I mean, it's a comedy, but I can respect a change in tone. At least they're not going to bring her back or anyth- goshdang it."

"The characters in this show are reactionary. It seems like whenever something happens, all we get are their reactions. Sure, that tells us a little about their characters, but it's not good character development."

-Omae Wa Productions

Dean Hayashi is having a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day. The scene continues with a basic forward shot of the principal walking to the student body, which suspiciously just looks like the teacher's torso bobbing up and down while her arms move. Her legs are concealed by out-of-focus sports equipment in the foreground. She has the grin-and-closed-eyes look that screams, "this is fine." "All right, so I would first like to make one thing very clear: All the rumors you've heard about that, um... what's her name?... that one student are completely, 100%, false." She is completely, 100% lying.

"More importantly, students, we've opened up a new program [as of two seconds ago, when a shocking amount of donors withdrew their funding] that will allow students to help fund-raise for the school! Now, I know how much you've been interested in helping out, and we've decided to do..." In her despair, her only thoughts derive from her career as a secondary school teacher- "A bake sale! Yes, we are going to get aprons and oven mitts for everyone, because we're going to need to make an industrial amount of... ugh, what am I doing with my life..."

As she expresses her regrets, Kiyoshi moves in through the door. Even though his head is the affected appendage, he has a cast around his arm, because anime logic. The nurse appears behind him to explain: "We figured that the hospital wasn't the safest place for him to be, so we discharged him!" She hugs Kiyoshi for no reason.

Kiyoshi scratches the back of his head with his uncast arm and chuckles. He waves. "Hello, everyone! Thank you all for your appreciation. I'm sorry I was such a burden."

Tensai-Durga Josei
Image

It was hard to determine which had been the mind of the supercomputer and which had been the recorded mind of the human being, since (a) the supercomputer's mind had been originally based on the human's mind and (b) the supercomputer had now received and merged with the full mind of it's creator. The cold hard fact was that the body of the creator had died and it needed to be either disposed of or completely sealed away, at least long enough for the DURGA's spacecraft to be completed and launched. If it was discovered that Dr. Tensai Josei had died, then all of her work AND Tensai-Durga Josei's very existence were in jeopardy!

(T-D) Josei needed to make an appearance on the campus as soon as possible!

She(?) removed the clothing from her creator's empty body. There were some signs of conflict, it had been wrinkled, but it was still serviceable. This was good, as it would lend seeming proof to the notion that bio-Josei hadn't really died....

How had bio-Josei died? Her pale color suggested that she had been asphyxiated. There were no marks on the neck or signs of a blistering agent, so there must be something in bio-Josei's windpipe. Josei got a twenty centimeter long pair of tweezers. She tilted the corpse's head back and probed with the tweezers until she found the mass that was blocking the windpipe. Upon extraction, Josei noted that it looked like some alien muscle tissue, perhaps a tongue? Josei put it in a specimen jar, and then sealed the jar in a small box of unbelievium, which was then deposited in a cryogenic cold storage space.

That mystery solved..., well at least the cause of death and not the material that bio-Josei had choked on, Josei returned to the task of either hiding or disposing bio-Josei's body.... The cold storage space would do for now. It would stop the smell of decay. Too bad it could not be flash-frozen, but the chances seemed infinitesimally small that bio-Josei could ever be revived.

Josei removed her DURGA clothing. She looked at her naked body with approval. Bio-Josei had made her an almost perfect seeming copy of her creator's physical appearance. The differences were that new Josei didn't have human bio-functions and intimate cavities. Maybe something could be done about that later? She put on her Dr. Tensai disguise and the clothing that old-Josei had been wearing and ventured out into the world.

+ + + + +

Josei made her way to Dean Hayashi's office to let the Dean know that Josei was really alright.

Walking in, Josei saw a woman who looked to be at her wit's end. She consciously put a big smile on her face and knocked on the wood of the open door.

Dean Hayashi looked up up from her desk and....

Takahasi Nao

Around a hour later, Nao perked up a bit, as he was reminiscing on Tensai Josei and that tea party they had earlier that day. "I wonder if Josei's parents were contacted.. It's going to be heartbreaking for them to hear that she's dead." Nao thought, as he was checking through some of his collection that he was planning on showing at Tamiko's room. It wasn't until that there was a knock at the door, where Nao decided to answer it, having some tissues on stand-by, since his eyes were somewhat redden from the tears. Opening the door, Nao was greeted by a generic unnamed character who will serve no purpose to the future, as her purpose is for plot convenience. "Yes?"

"Hadn't you heard! The school is running a bake sale to fund the school! Everyone is attended to come join!" the generic extra said, as she was full of happiness. "Bake sale? What about Josei? You figure someone would make an announcement about-"
"Who?"
"Josei. You know the one-"
"You mean that one pervert? What's so sympathetic about her?"

Hearing that, Nao balled up his fists, knowing that Josei was one of his friends that he can relate to. "I think you should leave..I'm in the middle of something." Nao was trying to hold back some anger at the generic extra. "Ok, random student I don't know! Bye!" she said, where Nao immediately slammed the door shut. "There can't be people who think that about Josei, right? Right?!" Nao thought, noticing somewhat of some apathy that was brewing. Then, Nao had an idea. If a bake sale was happening... maybe Nao could help. Nao could use the bake sale to raise awareness to convince the school to fund a funeral for Josei, along with giving the school enough money to stay on top.

"Yeah.. That can work.." Nao thought, as some optimism kicked in like adrenaline. "Alright!" Nao said, as he pushed over his door, giving a full body shot on him standing at the doorway with a smile. "I'm going to raise money!" Nao said, excitingly, as he ran to the stairs.

Only to accidentally fall down them. But hey, at least Nao didn't end up in any compromising positions, as he was scrawled on the bottom of the stairs, where he had to use his arms to not break his neck from the fall. "This is going to take a while.." Nao murmured, as his eyes were now spirals from the landing.
