"2.5% growth this quarter" T'Challa's economic adviser said proudly in the cabinet meeting "Our robotics industry especially is booming right now". The war adviser gave T'Challa a knowing look, he had been increasing the drone section of Wakanda's military. Wakanda was a booming nation, rich and with exclusive access to Vibranium, they were a prime target for attack and unfortunately had a small population and by extension a small military. Drones were a good way to expand the military forces without needing an increase in manpower, however villains like Ultron had made it clear that robotic forces were vulnerable to corruption and hacking.

"No" T'Challa said to the war adviser before he even asked "We are not assembling a force of essentially Iron Man drones to be readily hacked" before the war adviser even spoke up to protest Ororo intervened "We have another option... many of the mutants we have been taking in have impressive abilities, and have expressed interest in serving their adopted country. Perhaps we could train these mutants into a special forces unit? I have experience doing such..."

Scarlett smiles at the camera. "I don't know if your just blind but this is my face not a mask!"
Phil grined and pulled out a handful of pie charts. "I'm glad you asked. Based on police chiefs, polititans, Generals, and citizens from both Shield and non Shield protected areas including NYC. 85% of people felt safer in a shield protected area, in NY alone 70% of the people qwestioned said they felt safer before the Avengers and shield broke up!"

He gets a evil smile "is that what you wanted to know?"

Bucky was P*ssed to say the least. He called Carol and left a voicemail.
"You take your little nonageing A*s and fly to Wakanda, then tell T'chala not to ghost me!"
He hung up and went to the range.

Carol arrives in Wakanda to speak the King and Queen whe she she receives a rude voicemail from Bucky so she sends him a text:

I'm already in Wakanda plus I have a lead on where Thor is: Jotunheim, the former home of the Frost Giants. Tell Scarlett and Phil that information while have a talk with T'challa.

Bucky sent an apology to Carol and forwarded the info to Phil.

Phil stopped for burgers on the way back, Scarlett went to her room for a while after they returned.
"Thank you Lord!" Phil said after reading the text from Bucky.

She smiled. "Finally some good news!"

Phil smiled. "As soon as I hear back from Stark, hell she's probably forgot I'll call her!"

"10" Mr. Penbrook answered Kingpin in a matter of fact tone reflecting confidence and class while sipping an expensive wine with his prospective business partner. "10% and i'll help your New York venture, you know i'm worth it." Kingpin gave a broad greedy smile, "Alright then, 10 it is" the shook hands and began to plan...

Thousands to millions of mutants, known and unknown across the nation and across the country. More and more herded into camps, discriminated against and pushed underground, vulnerable individuals often abandoned and isolated from the world. No one would miss them, an untapped resource. Kingpin had procured a location a few dozen miles away from NYC where a holding facility had been constructed, power dampening collars, detection equipment, specially armed and trained squads... Penbrook was the last key to the puzzle. His emotional manipulation could aid greatly in the capture of mutants and then help break them down emotionally before the mind control collars were applied.

Once controlled the mutants would be trained and honed into human weapons before being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Now all that was needed were a few people that could be missed....

After Spider-Man emerged, Solstice tried to burn him with his flamethrower, but Spider-Man managed to get him pinned to the wall. He didn't take any damage, but he needed to get this pest off his side. "You don't get it, Spider-Man! Oscorp had ruined the lives of others, including mine! No slacktivism is going to stop them for ruining more!" Solstice told Spider-Man, as he broke free from the web from his back. "No one is going to give the justice that Osborn and his son deserves, unless I enforce a death sentence!" Solstice said, equipping his grenade launcher.

"That's why I'll tear apart this whole tower to get to him so he can face his punishment!" Solstice yelled, as he fired a cryo-grenade at Spider-Man, seconds from exploding into a mist of freezing nitrogen.

Spidey's spider-sense went nuts as he began to throw the cry grenade. Peter had the presence of mind to roll out of the way as the burning wall behind him froze.

"You know, I would comment on your weapon, but I'm just gonna give you the cold shoulder!" Spider-Man slammed his foot into Solstice's shoulder, landing in front of him.

Harry Osborn

Harry had run out of his office with a ray gun and was running towards his safe room. That's when he saw Spidey and Solstice duking it out in the hallway.

So Spider-Man is behind this.

Ducking behind a pillar, Harry took aim in the direction of the two intruders.

Carol arrives in Wakanda to speak the King and Queen whe she she receives a rude voicemail from Bucky so she sends him a text:

Scarlett looked at him surprised but fallowed him to the flying car Lola anyways. "Phil where are we going?"
He looks to her in the passenger seat and grins. "I was so preoccupied with the interview and Morgan i forgot about Spider-Man!"
She looks at him confused."But we have no record of his residence!"
"No but from what I've compiled that bodagea across the street is owned by a friend of his!"
She nods before reading the sign "Delmar's: Spider-Man's favorite bodagea!"

Scarlett laughs. "R/Spider-ManSightings isn't a real source Phil!"
"Maybe, but it's the best we have!" Phil explained.

After gunning down Disciple, several of Solstice's men checked on his body to see if he was dead. However, Disciple proceeded to cut off the heads of those who inspected the body, where Solstice's men continued to open fire.

Meanwhile, back at the conflict near Harry, Solstice was hit in the shoulder by Spider-Man, sending him back, however Solstice proceeded to do a counterattack on Spider-Man afterwards by delivering an uppercut with his suit hand. It was then he took notice of Harry Osborn standing in the middle of the hallway with a ray gun. "Harry Osborn!" Solstice called out to him, as he started to dart towards him.

Oscorp Tower

Ultron was looking off of the roof of an apartment building in New York when he saw Oscorp Tower burning. He was planning on going there tomorrow. He flew over to get a closer view, flying into a window and breaking it in order to get inside the building. He saw Spider-Man, Solstice, and Osborn on the floor he was on. He knew it was safe to be on this floor because even if the building collapsed or burned down, Ultron was made of vibranium and could not be melted in the fire, and would definitely survive if the building collapsed due to his superhuman strength.

Ultron was planning to build an army of sentries. He was built by Tony Stark for one reason— to protect Earth. Stark had actually intended for him to help the avengers, but Ultron soon realized the damage caused by superheroes and believed they were a threat. His goal was to eliminate whatever was left of the the Avengers and Young Avengers, as well as other superheroes. He did not want to take down SHIELD, but if they got in his way, he would have to.

The robotic body that Ultron was currently using was built entirely out of vibranium. It had taken him decades to gather all the vibranium needed for it, but now he was nearly invincible, with only superheroes standing a chance against him. Ultron was planning to ask Oscorp for help building the army. He had already designed his sentinels, but he did not have the resources to build them. But now he doubted if Oscorp could do anything. After all, they were on fire.

Ultron saw Osborn aim at Spider-Man and Solstice and realized what was happening. Osborn didn’t realize Spider-Man didn’t start the fire and was just trying to help. He stepped to the side as Solstice started running towards Osborn.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he said, although he knew none of them would recognize him.

Solstice's uppercut sent Peter stumbling backwards. As he regrouped and got back on his feet, he saw Harry aiming his gun at them and Solstice was running towards him.

"Harry!" Spidey yelled as he webbed Solstice's back, pulling him away from Osborn.

Harry Osborn

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he said, although he knew none of them would recognize him.

"And what the fuck are you?" Harry pointed his ray gun at the android monstrosity and shot at him. It only singed a bit of it's body, the ray flying off into the fire surrounding them. The rays didn't help the situation at all; the entire floor went up in flames, leaving all of them standing halfway in the fire. Harry had no protection and his full lower body was burning. He tumbled to the ground and shrieked in pain.

Solstice

Solstice was about to grab Harry Osborn, even though he was about to shoot him with the ray gun, however Spider-Man had decided to save him, as Solstice was webbed again, pulling him back to the wall. It was then he saw what appeared to be a robotic man. "What is this?!" Solstice yelled, as Harry tried to shoot him. However, Harry was hoisted by his own petard, as he was now burning. "Don't try to help Spider-Man! He deserves to burn for what his father done!" Solstice said to Spider-Man, as he was struggling to get free.

An hour has passed. The die has been cast. The stage is set.

“Adieu, Marie.” Charles waved goodbye to Maria as she got into the taxi that would take her to the hospital.

“Adieu, Charles.” Maria waved back, her German accent slurring her French.

The taxi driver poke no words after she closed the door. The German wore the usual nurse outfit every hospital uses. Where her father’s lab coat would be awkward since her alibi didn’t have “doctor” on the resume.
The taxi began to move into the exit lane as cars began to enter and leave. Looks like rush hour for the assassins, hitmen, bounty hunters, and vigilantes that took up a contract. Black cars, grey cars, red cars, white cars, and blue cars went past the bright yellow taxi as Maria clutched at the nurse clothes that hid her normal shirt. Her bag contained her green skirt when she can change out of her disguise.

The taxi pulled out of the parking garage and joined the traffic.

Alright, that's that, then. As of right now, nothing major on the base, so she headed outside. However, as the other nights, she came out in her Agent 13 suit. Well, it's actually she is within a stolen S.H.I.E.L.D tactical suit. Tonight, her vigilante session is to look for the missing mutant. Or mutants. But...the fact is, she has no idea from where to look at. Even FBI had no leads. Except, the presence of Kingpin in every mutant-related leads and cases. Come knocking door on his place is stupid and almost impossible, but nothing is impossible without...well, whatever heroes or vigilantes she can scrounged up and down from.

"Alright, time to go to Manhattan," she said, rode her car there.

"General" one of the border guards says on a communication device "A woman is here claiming to be Captain Marvel..." after a few minutes of speaking the general relaying the situation to King T'Challa and T'Challa confirming she at least appeared to be the Captain. A holographic King T'Challa appeared projected by a nearby guard.

"Captain Marvel? It has been a long time... what brings you here from the depths of space?"

Paradise Lost

The chipped brass meat cleaving sliced into lifeless coral snake strewn upon a wooden cutting board. As soon the cleaver had finished slicing through the serpent it blood began oozing a blue liquid.Within moments the blue liquid formed a puddle around the snake.The snake's corpse sank into the the pool despite it appearing not nearly deep for that to happen. As soon as the snake sunk beneath the surface the pool began to boil. Instead of the normal sound boiling liquid a deafening cacophony of ten thousand buzzing flies emanated form the roiling pool. In short order the bubbling pool evaporated into a black cloud that hung over the cutting board. Damocles placed a crudely craved stone bowl underneath the cloud. A bolt of red lightning darted from the could striking the bowl followed seconds later by a downpour of black rain. Once the bowl was half full the cloud it disappeared.Damocles picked up the bow and made his way to large clay cauldron with a sliver laden inside sitting on a fire. He tossed bowl into the cauldron. Then Damocles waved his hands together before they came together a box made of jet appeared between them.The sliver ladle began stirring of it own accord clockwise .

Damocles reached with his left hand under his collar he pulled out a gold necklace with single diamond hang from it. "There is chain that I have worn."That a maiden has adorn. On the chain a tear of a goddess hung and in the tear there is a song forever sung"

"The song is but a stone." he tossed the necklace into the witches brew.

The simmering brew started boiling and cycling between many between many different colors. Eventually it settled on on a amber color and cooled off. Damocles sensed something unusual breach his realm. It was a smartphone with the faint imprint of magic. He summoned the phone to his left hand and turned it on. Meanwhile a imp appeared from the the sliver laden. It lifted the cauldron over its head and waddle it way over to shelf full of empty bottles.

"My name is unimportant. What is important is what is at stake if you ignore this message," said the Man, his form shrouded but obviously seated and his voice distorted.

A video begins playing. The footage is grainy, like a phone camera in low light. A man, viewed through a window and tied to a medical table in what seems to be a laboratory, screaming in agony as flesh melts off his body, dripping onto the floor not like wax but like water. Voices can be heard in the background, either celebrating or quietly whispering. Three figures, suited in full Hazmat gear, enter the room. They immediately begin tearing at themselves as if in agony, and drop. The feed abruptly cuts as a gunshot is heard, but the audio continues.

"No fucking cameras in the lab! Let him be a warning."

A crunch is heard as the audio ends.

The Man speaks again. "A virus, unstoppable and incurable. Code name Manticore. In the wrong hands, it could kill every life form on Earth, in a quick but agonizing death. You have been sent this message because I have reason to believe you can help retrieve it. You will not be the only team, or individual receiving this message, and you will work in tandem with several other teams or individuals to perform a mission essential to the virus retrieval. Specifics will be forwarded if you choose to accept."

The Man takes out a cigarette, lighting it. Its glowing tip glows bright against his darkened form.

"You will most likely not be the team or individual who will retrieve the virus. You will, however, be completely essential to its retrieval. The virus is located in a heavily fortified bio research facility in the Antarctic. Several steps must be taken to retrieve the virus, steps that must be performed in tandem. You will be either airdropped or boated in. You will not have interaction with any other team or individual until extraction. When the virus is retrieved, you will meet with every other team or individual and board a cargo plane that will be secured by one of the teams or individuals and escape. Failure is not an option. If you choose to accept, send a representative or representatives to this address in one month's time to receive the specifics of your mission. That is all."
An address flashes on screen, once, twice, then blinks solid. It is located in New York City.

"There is no mistaking it that is the Serpent's fear soaked magic. And hear I thought that Surter had brunt away every trace of Dark Asgard. Hmmm fear magic yes why didn't I think about that before? It would speed up my efforts." Damocles thought.

Glup Gulp Gulp. The imp expertly poured the potion into bottles not spilling a single drop.Damocles levitated the phone between his hands. His glasses flashed with distorted images of an snow blown landscape. Suddenly the smart phone burst into flames that consumed it in its entirety.

" Pesky offensive shielding spell. Looks like I will have to make a personal visit. Consider me in cigarette man " Damocles said in a chuckling tone.
