“I’ve got thermal trackers. And I’ll hand out earpieces and intercom soon. We wanna fight as little as possible and get out as quickly as possible. Jack’s telporting is great, but may not be enough...we have to stealthily get more hostages out. How?”

"I have a bit of stealth training but its not my forte, I might be able to create some sort of distraction to draw off goons... i'm probably more valuable there."

Well, this is immediately not promising., thought Jack, rolling his eyes then immediately hoping no one saw it.

"Uh. Hi. My name's Jack, if anyone was wondering. You probably weren't, but doesn't hurt. Let's uh, let's go inside, yeah?", he said.

“Yes! Someone’s logical. I like this one. Jack, was it? Ok, let’s go.” Suddenly Kate felt guilty about not involving Danielle. She’d pretty much grown up around the girl. They’d often spend time together, sharing their heroic ambitions. And here they were. One was the leader of the Young Avengers, and the other...well, Kate decided she’ll see.

“Danielle, you can come inside. Gwen, you wait instead.”

Kate led them through the glass doors of the compound, entering the code to open the metal walls inside that led to a sleek hall. They walked up glass stairs all the way to the third floor, where Cassie and Cap were waiting for them by the massive glass window.

"You just said...uhg...fine"

"Well... stealth is a lot easier with fewer guards. Maybe I bring someone along with me on my teleporting up when I see an opportunity to drop a guard? Then I bring them back down and no one's any the wiser," he suggested.

“Good idea. That decreases the guard count and allows us to get a bit of breathing room to rescue hostages safely. Gwen, what do you offer here?”

"Kate how stealthy are you? I'm thinking i make noise on the outside, you get teleported in and start taking them out quietly while teleporting guy evacs people. Stature can you get smaller? Or just larger?"

She rubbed her eyes. "Sorry, I'm Scarlett Barnes or Winter Widow as Tony called me. He's my uncle."
She smiled and fixed her face. "So your the captain marvel?"

"I have stealth...to some extent, I mean, I can make your moves completely silent like I did in Issue 24 with Batroc...Oh, you probably don't know what I'm talking about. I also can rewind time for myself and get myself out of many situations..."

Disciple's rampage continued freezing and otherwise, maiming mafioso left and right sending ice through their bodies inadvertently sending their souls to Azreal his patron. He didn't mind that he was helping a demon coup another but hey if it helped him get revenge it was worth it. Approaching an exit to the building (which he wouldn't be taking, if not the Kingpin one of his high ranking people were there and he was going to kill all of them) he saw two people guarding the outside. Before he could do anything however they opened fire on him getting multiple good shots on his body, but he didn't fall he kept marching towards them with hatred they could almost feel. They kept firing, but the only indication they were hitting him were the bullets popping out of his body, though the act of regeneration this was hurt him ever so slightly (Ethan thanked God they were unable to sever any of his limbs as growing back one of those would be especially painful) they couldn't tell. After what seemed like an eternity to them he arrived and immediately began slamming one of their heads into the wall repeatedly causing his compatriot to drop his gun in fear. After smashing his co-workers head in Disciple turned to him. Disciple though knowing that this was overly brutally, enjoyed it in an odd way which scared him almost letting the man in front of him go. The thug's chance at survival was ruined however when he reached for his weapon, with that Disciple moved his hand into the goons mouth with unnatural speed and then froze him from the inside out leaving his body relatively unscathed, but his inside totally frozen over killing him almost instantly. He walked inside the room seeing Spiderman on the ground and another man in the area.

Spiderman was one of Ethan's childhood heroes and one of the few surviving ones. He reminded him of better times and a time before being a demon's recruiter. Quickly he kneeled next to him and tried to wake him up hoping that the mafia didn't just give him yet another reason to massacre them.

Ace jumped, his cards quickly forming under him, allowing him to surf over to Spider-Man and the Ice guy. As he neared he jumped off, his cards returning to their pouches as he knelt down beside the pair. He knew he was completely useless in this situation, but just being near them made him feel as though he could help, at least a little.

"Is he..." Ace began, "is he okay?"

Disciple jumped as well not expecting the cards or the casual talk. He knew he wasn't with the Kingpin because if he was Disciple would have found that out a long time ago. "He should be." Disciple paused with his supernaturally deep voice "Have you seen the Kingpin or any of his men? I have.....issues with them" he kept his intent to kill a secret knowing many heroes wouldn't agree

Liam's POV

Sometimes its hard to tell if people are serious on something or not, and boy was I fooled. Hoping to rent a room at a decent looking penthouse, I was instead q. I had an uneasy feeling. The sumo guy took me to this interrogation room. It didn't take me long to find out that he was the guy who killed my family. An unbearable rage rose in me as I was waiting for the right moment to pounce on him. However, he did a really good job at fastening people to a chair. There were locks, which meant I was fastened and I couldn't break free from the chains.
"Welcome to Kingpin's home, Liam." He said, stressing on 'Liam'. I thought he knew about me becoming Cougar, but didn't want me to know. I tried to focus on reading his mind, but nothing happens. I can only use telepathy when I'm Cougar. I looked down onto my chest. No red, glaring lights. Come on, why can I not choose when I feel like using Cougar. That sucked. I struggled, but it was in vain.
"Liam, do not try to break free, it will make you weaker. Wait here for Kingpin. He should be here. He wants to 'talk' to you about your father. No, not my father. Don't even remind me. However, vivid images of my father's arrest flashed in my mind. This goes.to show how shady real estate agents can be.
"He's here." Someone says. The door opens, and Kingpin, I guess, enters the room. He stares at me eerily and asks me, "Hi, how's your family?"

Ace jumped, his cards quickly forming under him, allowing him to surf over to Spider-Man and the Ice guy. As he neared he jumped off, his cards returning to their pouches as he knelt down beside the pair. He knew he was completely useless in this situation, but just being near them made him feel as though he could help, at least a little.

"Nah, I don't usually work that high up the villain scale." Ace said, shrugging. He stood, extending his hand to the man with a smile, "The name's Ace!"

His large red coat hung loosely around him, covering his decks of cards. He wasn't sure about this guy, something seemed a little off, but if he had issues with the Kingpin, Ace had feeling he couldn't be THAT bad! Still though, his cards were at the ready should the need arose that he would have to use them to protect Spidey.

The White Dragon watched through the scope of his rifle, determined to follow them to the Taskmaster so that he could put a bullet through the villain's head. A smirk spread across his face, reading the body language of these 'Young Avengers', barely containing a chuckle as he began to realize just how easy it would be to swoop in and take his quarry.
