At the moment, the US is gradually weakening. A white ethnostate would make more sense in recent times with the rise of the alt-right. Probably the same with the confederacy (but this time with just regular nationalists). Not too sure about the USSA, but that could be a reaction to increasing power of the right (although the US has had a history of being...not too fond of socialism COUGH COUGH FREE HELICOPTER RIDES COUGH). Guess the eco state could work with increasing public concern with climate change.
Concerning Germany...yeah, I didn't really know much about Trotsky, his liberal views and Germany's views on him. They could go left wing as yet again a retaliation against the right after seeing what their governments are like. Speaking of the right, Italy already is heading that direction with a right wing and a populist party being in charge. Russia's already quite right wing (why wouldn't they be?). Yeah, not buying Poland. Going red would be the last thing they would do.

The USA's "road to civil war" IRL is greatly exaggerated. Support for a white ethnostate comes from a loud fringe group, and isn't popular in one particular area, so even if it WAS popular, they wouldn't have the ability to make one sense they're scattered across the country. Especially not in the Northeast, which is one of the liberal parts of the country! Leftism is growing more prominent but is more Scandinavian style, not socialist, especially not Stalinist. As a Southerner myself, no, we are not all neo-confederates, and it is a weak ideology here with no chance of ever taking hold again. Trotskyism here is a meme, the OP has contradicted himself with Germany's ideology. Them having a military coup for the ideology makes no sense whatsoever, and IRL there's not really a precedent for countries switching ideology so radically after "seeing what other governments are like." (Nazism in Germany didn't make the USA, UK, or France socialist.) China could have an internal conflict, but it wouldn't be over Hong Kong. Most mainland Chinese are in support of the PRC owning it, and no one is gonna start a civil war to prevent it. Even if there was a civil war, the borders the OP suggested make no sense at all. Countries do not instantly declare independence and then get all their land. Inner Mongolia and Manchuria being independent are just memes, both are Han Chinese with Mongols and Manchus respectively being tiny minorities with no desire for independence.
I believe the OP does not quite have a grasp on the political situation or the time period, or how armed conflict works in the modern day. Countries adopt ideologies at random, civil wars spring up out of nowhere, and wars are started for no reason. (All of this ignores economic relations, too.) No offense meant to you, Demorvian, but I really think you should do some more research before making an RP if you want it to properly last. I'll stop posting in this thread, but I hope you take my advice.
Honestly I'm having to agree with him here. This is a scenario which makes no sense, especially in our world and time. If perhaps a longer alt history were presented in which the world could go through such radical changes so quickly in the modern day I don't think its plausible. Furthermore the explanation itself doesn't make much sense, you've added no detail to anything, instead opting for phrases like 'at the height of its power the US collapsed'. Why? If a nations at the height of its power then its likely one of the most stable times, atleast more stable than years in the past. Not to mention the 90s were actually one of the most stable decades in modern history. The only notable economic downturn globally was the .com bubble, and the only major wars were both won decisively and completely.
