Though that would certainly be interesting, i think the probable infighting with the pirates would largely make it unlikely or isolated, ie those with the actual tier 1 stuff would lord over the rest, but the rest would not necessarily have the same tech.
Heh, now we have lots of people wanting those last 2(?) first rate slots, lol.

I know, I rather have it as that and Tau be my terrorist army but he seems to have ascended.

Even without shields and thick armour they still wouldn't work without being incredibly inefficient. Might as well propel tungsten rods at FTL speeds, kinda like a meteor strike.

Still some mentions of humans and terrans and their technology and culture in the Bio/backstory portion. Additionally, 3rd rate is just taking to the stars, roughly speakin, and the app says they did that just 5 decades prior, yet they are now almost First rate and First Tier?
That is still within the parameters of what the OP said, going from 3rd to nearly first in only 50 years is really fast.
I myself have issues with some of the absolute statements made in the app, but those might not be an actual obstacle to acceptance.

That's not a first person thing. Since, naturally, we're human, it needs to be given a reference frame.

Gudmund wrote:Yeah, poor wording on my part. It's already been mentioned I think, but I'm talking about 'raw' plasma from science fiction. Without a "self-contained and stable toroid of plasma" its just ionised gas that would disperse before doing anything, and isn't viable for the vast ranges of space combat. If such tech was available there'd likely be means of defending against it too. Tossing a wad of plasma at a ship and expecting it to go straight through just isn't right.
And with a laser, unless it was absurdly powerful, it won't be able to pierce straight through instantly. On a constantly moving target at long range it would be difficult to focus on a single point. All in all it doesn't really matter, soft scifi is much easier to write and less stressful.

both sides began to use repurposed human technology built from blueprints, as tanks and fighter jets saw the light of day.
What about superarmonians? Yes - a rigid army of servants able to overrun all the other remaining societies of Earth
References are fine, but the wording and placement still implies that there are relations to earth and humans.
