Though that would certainly be interesting, i think the probable infighting with the pirates would largely make it unlikely or isolated, ie those with the actual tier 1 stuff would lord over the rest, but the rest would not necessarily have the same tech.

Heh, now we have lots of people wanting those last 2(?) first rate slots, lol.

I know, I rather have it as that and Tau be my terrorist army but he seems to have ascended.

Maybe maybe not. Look on the bright side, they can still serve the same purpose, but now they could take the brunt of any attack or fallout. :P

No Offense Tau, but the OP has already said they do not really want Imperium of Man Shenanigans, and your nation even without being rate one seems to be going that route almost. Not to be or seem rude but it might not be best to push your luck in that regard.

Hey, Tagali, what if I bring back a certain civilization and throw your power scale on its head by not fitting in with the pre-approved definitions?

Gimme a while to get an app together, friend.

Or you know my Discord to harass me.

I could try to make it as realistic as possible, but that's not fun. I'm going to stick to the rule of k o o l. Besides looking cool, I have to make it function.

I was more meaning coming up with ship class names and specs or images for those things?

So did anyone want any weseh to have perhaps visited them briefly long ago?

Just want to say that lasers and plasma weapons are terrible in space, due to how quickly things cool there, in addition to spacecraft likely being designed to survive extremely high or low temperatures. Even without shields and thick armour they still wouldn't work without being incredibly inefficient. Might as well propel tungsten rods at FTL speeds, kinda like a meteor strike.
Civilisation:

Well, that's if you want to go hard sci-fi.

And if you do want to go hard sci-fi, then you'd know that lasers and plasma are very viable mediums for weaponry in space.

Imagine getting hit with a self-contained and stable toroid of plasma at 10,000 km/s, which would not only cause significant thermal and physical damage, but also cause a massive x-ray-based EMP on the target.

Things don't cool quickly in space, because there's hardly any matter to transfer the heat to. There's a reason most hard sci-fi spaceships have massive radiators.

Yeah, poor wording on my part. It's already been mentioned I think, but I'm talking about 'raw' plasma from science fiction. Without a "self-contained and stable toroid of plasma" its just ionised gas that would disperse before doing anything, and isn't viable for the vast ranges of space combat. If such tech was available there'd likely be means of defending against it too. Tossing a wad of plasma at a ship and expecting it to go straight through just isn't right.

And with a laser, unless it was absurdly powerful, it won't be able to pierce straight through instantly. On a constantly moving target at long range it would be difficult to focus on a single point. All in all it doesn't really matter, soft scifi is much easier to write and less stressful.

Hey, I've posted my new app. Can I upgrade the Armonians to first class if that's fine with you?

I'm not the OP of course, but I believe your new app might still have some persisting issues that the original had.

I deleted the human thing and changed the timeline a bit. What other problems might it have?

Still some mentions of humans and terrans and their technology and culture in the Bio/backstory portion. Additionally, 3rd rate is just taking to the stars, roughly speakin, and the app says they did that just 5 decades prior, yet they are now almost First rate and First Tier?

That is still within the parameters of what the OP said, going from 3rd to nearly first in only 50 years is really fast.

I myself have issues with some of the absolute statements made in the app, but those might not be an actual obstacle to acceptance.

That's not a first person thing. Since, naturally, we're human, it needs to be given a reference frame.

both sides began to use repurposed human technology built from blueprints, as tanks and fighter jets saw the light of day.

What about superarmonians? Yes - a rigid army of servants able to overrun all the other remaining societies of Earth

References are fine, but the wording and placement still implies that there are relations to earth and humans.

Plasma doesn't have the properties of gas. Due to it being as electromagnetically as it is, it behaves more like a semisolid in vacuum than a gas or fluid. That being said beyond what is basically knife fighting distance for space battle, flinging plasma out of railguns is a bad idea.
