I think that for the progression of time, a post in the IC thread will be able to advance time by at most three days. I'm also thinking about updating the map once per IC month to show the global zombie situation on a monthly basis. For example, I will have a map for December 2019 indicating all locations where Solanum is present. The map would not necessarily show when a region is exposed to Solanum (e.g. the virus may arrive in the USA sooner or later than in Russia), it simply shows that any regions in bright red would be exposed at some point during the current month.

Also, I'm not sure if zombies should be able to survive being frozen. Water would expand at freezing temperatures, which would possibly destroy zombified brain cells. However, thawing zombies without issues may not sound as extreme as surviving crushing pressures or having incredible senses. By default, I have it so that zombies can survive freezing temperatures unless there are objections.

Personality: Arthur's years in the armed forces were long and hard, helping him build up his physical strength and adaptability in harsh situations. Through that, he learned deep values in patience and loyalty. After his retirement from service, he softened from his job as a host in his sister's café, settling back into civilian life. He became kinder and more charismatic through his customers and developed a stronger bond with his sister, but kept an edge from his military training. He typically avoids romantic relationships due to his sexuality. Though he believes there could be a higher power, he is not particularly religious.
Background: Born November 15, 1981 in London, Arthur was born of an affair between his mother and another unknown man, though he is unaware of this. At age five, his younger sister was born and they became close in later years, him acting as protection for her and her as a safe haven for him. He attended primary and secondary school with relative ease and made a few close friends who he still keeps in contact with. Around the end of his education, he discovered his interest in both men and women, but has only shared this with his sister in fear of rejection.

After his graduation, with no real interest in further education and no real plans for his future, he applied to the armed forces and became on officer to the ranks of the army. Through strict schedules and rigorous training, he became well acquainted with firearms and was particularly known for his precision and knowledge with guns. He continued to serve faithfully for 20 years before retiring into the regulars reserves and returning home.

When he retired, his younger sister eagerly welcomed him back and offered him shelter and a job. He began work as a server and soon as a host in her café, quickly learning his way around the restaurant and it's customers. He usually prefers to wrap himself in work and go out with friends occasionally, avoiding most serious relationships.

Notes: His mother works as a photographer and his father works as a chef. His father's brother moved to America and has family there. He occasionally visits America to see family and practices at gun ranges there before returning home.

Unfortunately, no. I don't really like fast or skilled zombies, and I'm rather confident that not many people here are interested in these sorts of zombies either.

I will assume control of any countries that have not been applied for. I'm also preparing the IC as we speak, though it'll take some time.

I've now gotten the IC thread up.

To start off, what I recommend is that anyone roleplaying a country can describe what and how their country is doing in December 2019 (e.g. stable economy? major entertainment hits?). Similarly, anyone roleplaying a character can describe their character's daily life in December 2019. It's up to you to decide how to start off with roleplaying.

Anyone whose country would be exposed to Solanum in December 2019 can perhaps describe how the virus (and the first zombies) will start to impact local affairs. As an example, rumors can spread around about a new virus, a crazed group of cannibals, or people coming back to life. Countries exposed in December 2019 include Canada, Russia, USA, China (NPC for now) and Germany (NPC for now).

If I get the time, I could perhaps make a post about Patient Zero in Chongqing. It would serve as both a symbolic connection to and a point of divergence from the World War Z novel.
