@Nux to clarify the wording of my update, was my food shortage because too few people were collecting food, or because food was more difficult to acquire because RNG?

Food is one of the things not really messed with by RNG. Unless a specific event takes place for it.

In this case, I believe that everyone who was short on food was from too few people collecting food or from splitting people's work loads too much.

Hmm. I don't suppose the Sea-Blessed noticed which direction the wolves migrated in from? Backtracking along a predator's route is wise if you seek prey to hunt.

Negative though, I do suppose a scout heading out to explore could back track to where they originated from as part of their exploration.

I'll try to fix the scout thing next update for ya.

As for learning, each time you try to learn something and fail, you gain some progress toward it making it a higher chance of succeeding next time. Also collaborating scholars have a higher chance. Even non-scholars can help, they may not be as useful as a scholar in learning new things, but its still possible to assist. If say one scholar gives two points towards learning, two scholars working on the same thing give five points.

Also, if anyone has questions on some mechanics just ask me. I want to keep specifics secret, but I can help people help understand a little better (for now).

Does that also apply for discovering magic?

It does. As far as I'm concerned, discovering magic will be similar to discovering technology, though you will need to learn of its existence first (researching the school). No one is going to learn to send energy beams at their opponents, unless some weird stuff happens here, but with the right combination of things, maybe you can fling arrows at an opponent in a more deadly manner, heal the sick, create stronger stone. Simple things like that, at least for now. We will see where things progress. Last game blood magic reigned supreme.

"Right"

I tried that last go around with the Chosen. They all died in a glorious battle/ritual.

Which, I MUST remind you: succeeded in bringing a guy who had been dead for more than 50 years back to unlife. He just needed more power to be full strength. I was so close.

Update live. A few good things, a few bad, a few dire situations to be had. Over all, the world keeps turning and time will only tell which tribe is surviving.

What's the situation with the Aederfolk's boy child? And are the two children just sick from malnutrition?

Five kids, nice. Just gonna wait 10 years before they can do any-work. Let's hope that my only worker does not die because she's the only person getting all my food.

Should be 4 kids. You had 3 at the start of this year, another was born into the tribe this year. And yeah, workers are excellent at gathering food.

No change to them. The children were born sickly, they can grow out of it over time or healed through medicine or by RNGsus touching them on the nose and saying 'boop'
