The OFFICIAL TITLE of her goddess domain (aka what's on her character app) is Experimental study/learning. It's basically a fancy way of saying goddess of science/technology. If you look on her character sheet you can kind of hypothesize how that can be, given the abilities listed.

(I know I may have confused many of you and not made her easy to understand). Combine this information with my last post on the OOC and you will start seeing slightly less confusion. It's easy enough to wonder why the equivalent of a goddess of science/technology going about cackling on broomsticks but I assure you there is less contradiction than there might seem if you understand my thinking.

Unera is not very technological in nature compared to the human world, otherwise you might see her don a more mad scientist and/or steampunk theme. She has decided not to try turning Unera into a more technologically themed place and she does most of her technology themed work in the mortal world. In Unera her focuses are more witchy in theme.

My reason for posting this stuff is to make sure people understand her and we don't end up stepping on eachother's toes in the future. I have no problem with Hepakatos in the rp as I can rationalize him as a specialist in the smithing aspect of technology. I'm just trying to make sure someone later doesn't basically make a second/more powerful version of Minerva.

(Sorry, just trying to be thorough and clear)

So let me attempt to explain to you Minerva's specialty (if it can even be called that). Her domain and way of applying it make her pretty useful in a variety of situations. I hesitate to call her a master of none/jack of all trades because she's in a field that's multifaceted and somewhat general purpose. In essence she's a utility character. Not useless in battle but certainly not a designated battle character. She's not the healer, not the tank, she doesn't fall into those categories that the other gods fall into. I think she's a special kind of support character.

I haven't had the chance to utilize her abilities in one of the ways I envisioned her abilities to be used yet because Unera isn't a techno themed place and that's where most of the rp has been so far. An example of her power would be her making all of earth's internet crash.

In conclusion if you wanted to know what she is, she's basically the science/magitek goddess. She's the gadgets girl of the party, whether the gadgets be science or magic themed. She's the enchantment girl/artificer. A mad scientist and a witch all rolled into one.

(Thanks y'all. I think I'm done)

Minerva's THEME is witchy. That's for multiple reasons including : because she's eccentric and alchemy/witchcraft are actually REAL, scientifically study-able things in this universe. Science in the modern human world has not replaced the occult but rather is a very similar thing with a mostly thematic difference being pronounced. She takes on the witch thing among many reasons including : to make a philosophical statement regarding issues such as femenism and free thinking.

So, if witchcraft is real, is Hogwarts real

Haha yeah, I would LIKE that but I think that would be breaking the rules if it went too far. As of currently humans don't have magic as per gm rules. But I don't suppose it's against the rules for humans to be able to try STUDYING it XD.

Which means that harry potter exists in THIS world and the rp world too XD

Which also means that JK Rowling and probably much of the cast are actually Minervians, among many other implications XD. So I suppose hogwarts is a real place in Scotland but slightly lackluster given that humans have no access to things like Hippogriffs XD

Stephen Hawking had to have been a worshiper of Abyss, meaning that he's a Teloculist in Obelora. The same fate goes for Albert Einstein, Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke. This means the Obelora's libraries would have to be literally stocked full of science fiction stories, worldbuilding guides, and more. This also means that Obelora would have at least one Pillar dedicated to literally nothing but worldbuilding.

Tl;DR, Obelora is full of nerds, perfection has been achieved.

Let's take into account that if a Deva of Song arrives then Justin Bieber is officially a worshiper here in Unera, and he's probably still making terrible music.

Probably astronomy nerds yeah. But isn't Olympia more prone to have all the smarties given Minerva's ideals on study and experimentation?

That is true, Olimpia probably has more scientists overall but Obelora probably has most of the rocket scientists, astronomers, astronauts (Buzz Aldrin!), and exobiologists (although that last one is probably split evenly).

Not only that but Mt. Olimpia is bound to have famous General like Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Joseph Stalin, Emperor Hirohito, and among others thanks to Ragnarok and Arkel. Maybe even Adolph Hitler as well, along with Powerful greedy men.

Stalin,Hitler and Hirohito weren't generals, in fact, when Hitler assumed direct control of the troops on the front with USSR they started losing even more

I doubt Hitler would have a fun time in Olympia given that somehow minorities made it into heaven and there are Minervian priests on street corners preaching about how now that they are all here they need to put aside old biases and embrace eachother with open mindedness in accordance with Minervian doctrine.

Also as previously stated, Minerva kind of ruined Hitler's plans and her worship was banned in Germany during that time. That would make for an awkward set of neighbors XD
