I can give you ideas for issues on the Salarian Union. We recently recovered from a low-intensity political revolt, and purges by the winning side have set back the military and infrastructure deeply. So alot of meat there to talk about.

Can u explain the significance of this political upheaval? Did a entire new set of dalatrasa emerge or what?

Yes. Basically, they are reduced in projectible military power, and have become an unoffical protectorate of the Asari Republics.

The Narra family has won the election against the Lindra family (the Dalatrass in the ME series belonged to them) by an extremely small voting margin. The Lindra Family took issue with this, and orchestrated a campaign of civil disobedience and industrial espionage that crippled the Salarian economy. Narra mobilized the loyalist businesses and media firms of the Union to go on a political-charged propaganda campaign against the Narra Family -- an unconfirmed, but related assassination attempt on the former Dalatrass Lindra occured, which sparked riots and civil unrest between Pro-Narra and Pro-Lindra activist groups.

Over time, the Narra family consolidated their hold on Sur'Kesh and the home system after securing support from the Asari Republics. Further support solidified behind Narra after the pacification of Sur'Kesh (with Asari help), when the STG silently stepped behind her as the rightful sovereign of the Union. Shortly after, the Lindra bloc ceased to be a political movement after being labeled a terrorist cartel; die-hard gurriella militas and para-military forces loyal to them officially surrendered very recently.

In the wake of this conflict (dubbed The War of Roses) the Salarian Union is being revamped industrially. Its military has also been undergoing ideological purges, with the STG rising to replace the small traditional Union Army. The Navy has been hit the hardest by the purges, resulting in most of their vessels being ordered to dock, and their crew disbanded, for the foreseeable future.

Brief description of diplomatic relations:
Military state of readiness: Always ready
History: Cerberus started out as a Systems Alliance Black Ops group, having complete access to Alliance activities. However, the group went rogue and broke away from the Alliance, conducting unethical experiments in an attempt to create super soldiers. In reality, the origins of the organization can be traced to the First Contact War. It was founded by Jack Harper, a human mercenary who fought in the First Contact War. During this time, he and his partners, Ben Hislop and Eva Core, discovered a conspiracy led by turian general Desolas Arterius to transform the turians into supersoldiers using an ancient alien artifact. While they managed to thwart the general's plan with the help of his brother Saren, Hislop and Core lost their lives in the process. This made Harper realise that while possessing knowledge and wealth, the galaxy was a dangerous place and humanity was about to enter dark times. As such, he released a manifesto calling for an army, a 'Cerberus', to protect humanity from any threat beyond the Charon Relay, declaring that an alien attempt at human genocide was an inevitability. The manifesto was derided as 'survivalist rhetoric written by an illusive man', and quickly fell off the media radar

However, in 2165, terrorists raided the SSV Geneva and stole antimatter; the sole figure arrested during the incident named his sponsor 'Cerberus'. From there, the organization continued to expand, gaining funding via a series of front companies and private backers, while also experiencing an increase in recruitment and conducting savage experiments on human and alien subjects, among other acts of terrorism.

They have deep influences within the Alliance's political and economic system. Most of their funds are deprived from donors in mega corporations and Cerberus own front companies and Charities which operated independently to raise funds as well as hide Cerberus activities.

one Ex- Alliance Battle cruiser stationed above Port Hanshan. Listed as an Atlas Corporation Private security vessel contracted to defend the city.
One prototype Normandy class deep scout frigate. (Does not have stealth systems, conventional drive core.) Salvaged after the Human-Turian project fell through. Cerberus obtained the prototype, blueprints and it's Tantalus drive concept. But the project was scrapped before most of its proposed systems could come into fruition.
One Razor Class Stealth Corvette. An old moth balled HSA skunk works project. The project started on 2165 CE but the development was put on hold in 2178 CE due to the reduced Batarian threat. The Joint Human- Turian project effectively scrapped the Razor class. The prototype was slated to be scrapped but Cerberus purchased the prototype through it's Atlas Corporation front company.

The Razor is made up of smooth angular design with Stealth ablative coating rendering invisible to most ship's sensors. Heat strips on the exterior vents heat, but the strips can be configured to give off heat signatures matching other vessels, most commonly configured to give off the heat signature of a passenger cruiser. It's only weapons are currently two 10x missile pods with the choice of Archer missiles or Shiva nuclear missiles.
Both the Normandy and Razor are stored in Minuteman Station Orbital Station/Shipyard in horse head nebula.

No, the Salarian Union has always been a Electable Matriarchy. At the moment, the only ones in power are Dalatrass Narra supporters, since all others have been forced to step down following the election crisis.

Oh yes, indeed so. Two separate Geth fleets with weapons running hot confronting each other should be enough to give enough a war-hungry HSA commander pause.
