Background: Norddal was settled by agriculturalists and ranchers when the Swedish first arrived here. Original explorers signed peace treaties with native Hildans upon arrival, guaranteeing the west side of the long valley belonged to the natives. However, as more settlers came to plot down land they eventually brought slaves to help tend the land and animals. More land was needed to fit the growing number of people and agriculture so they encroached on the west side of the valley. The natives, instead of fighting back, began migrating north and out of the valley. Some stayed behind and worked on farms and ranches, eventually integrating into the Swedish culture.

Norddal has remained a remained an agriculture based constituency. It continues to pump out cash crops and beef. It has been recently been rocked by scandal after their former MP had been bribed by Republicans to vote against the monarchy they loved. Recent polls show that most members of Norddal have dropped political parties.

Background: Filip Stenbeck (born 2 November 1943) is a Saint Hildan politician, political activist, writer and retired educator representing the constituency of Strandgård in the Parliament since 2019. He is a member of the Center-Progressive Party. Before being elected to the Parliament he served as mayor of Strandgård for almost 20 years. He is the chairman and founder of the Coalition for Peace and Equality (Koalition för Fred och Jämställdhet).

Born in Stockholm, Sweden Filip Stenbeck is a second of four children. His parents were librarians. Upon graduating high school he moved to the United Kingdom to study English at the University of Oxford. His stay in the UK were an "eye-opening experience" for young Fillip, where he discovered his appreciation for diversity that would follow him for the remainer of his life. After earning a degree he briefly returned to Sweden before eventually travelling to Saint Hilda. Initially he taught English in three different high schools in the capital city where he worked with the poorest students in the city. After a decade of working in the nation's capital Filip decided to travel to the newly founded city of Strandgård where he continued his work as a teacher whilist occasionally writing to the small town's newspaper. He wrote and published his first book "One Man, Large World" (Swedish: En Man, Stor Värld) in 1991 in which he recounted his experiences as a teacher, working with poor Saint Hildans. The book was mildly popular in Saint Hilde and, decade after it's publication, Sweden.

Filip Stenbeck decided to run for Mayor of Strandgård in 2000 as a candidate of the Strandgård Coalition for Progress, winning a closely contested race. In his first term as mayor Stenbeck focused on improving public services, most notably the sewage system, and the environmental situation of the coastal city which has been struggling with a sluggish economy. His work improved the city and greatly boosted tourism in the area. He easily won re-election, with his support in the municipal counil greatly increased. During his second term the city earned a reputation for being socially progressive and welcoming. During his tenure public housing, healthcare and education were greatly expanded and improved with new facilities being opened during his 19 years as Mayor. In 2014 he published his second book, "This Land for you and me" (Swedish: Det här landet för dig och mig) in which he described his political views and recounted his tenure as mayor of Strandgård up to that point. In late July 2019 a new edition of the book, with slight changes and additional chapters about his tenure from 2015 to his election to the Parliament in 2019 was announced scheduled for the second quarter of 2020. The newly built Strandgård pier was named after him shortly after leaving the office.

As the island of Saint Hilda was given independence and created it's own parliament a new constituency, Strandgård, was created. Wishing to push forward his agenda on a national stage he decided to run for the Parliament, winning easily.

During his renure he co-sponsored the Legal Justice Act and Local Government Act.

He was elected as the 2nd Speaker of Parliament of Saint Hilda.

Background: Strandgård is a city located on the north-eastern coast of Saint Hilda. Founded on May 4, 1979 after a number of smaller, overlaping fishing villages were merged into one, bigger town. Background: The roots of the airline date back to 1930 when construction was completed on islands first Airfield, cargo flights became common to the island so a military Mechanics detachment was placed on the island called the Antillean Air Mechanics or Antillean Luft Mekanik in Swedish. In the 50s Princess Margaret Airport was built and SAS began its SAS Island Hopper subsidiary it competed with KLMs Caribbean Subsidiary, ALM. In the mid 80s both Airlines were struggling as Delta and Caribbean Airlines began to take shape and start serious competition. The two airlines agreed to Join, the airline would be headquarter in Saint Hilda, but retain the ALM branding, ALMs name was changed from its Dutch name to a Swedish name, which was Antillean Luft Mekanik, a homage to the first aviators in the Caribbean. The Airline would soon see large success and open Codeshares with United Airlines, SAS, KLM, and LATAM Chile. In 2006 IKEA sponsored the purchase of 3 Boeing 737-800s, these would be painted in the infamous flIKEA livery which they retain to this day.

Background: Antonius de Montrouge is a native of Novterram born in 1968. He was from a prominent family of French origin.

In his early years, Antonius breezed through school, earning excellent grades. He was the first in his town to earn a full scholarship to a top Swedish university, attending Uppsala University to study law. His native Latin tounge made him quite the oddity in Sweden, and those enrolled in the classes of his language often came to him for tutoring. He made a profit by charging for Latin language sessions in order to sustain himself.

He served in Sweden as a lawyer for eight years until he decided to return back home, increasing the size of his family farm considerably with his remaining wealth from that country. Apart from helping in the family business, he continued to serve as a lawyer in Saint Hilda.

A talented politician in his town, he legally advised the All-Latin Association of Novterram before running for the leadership. He won, and thus was the next candidate for Novterram's seat in Parliament, as the All-Latin Association of Novterram is the only prominent party in the Latin enclave.

In the ALAN, he is considered a part of their culturally moderate wing, accepting and embracing that Novterram is and must remain the Latin-speaking enclave it is, but would not oppose increased integration with the rest of the island, so long as the local way of life is not significantly altered. On more mainstream matters, he is a bit of a centre-left person.

Background: Founded by eccentric Latin enthusiasts as a farming colony, Novterram is an ethnic enclave in center of Saint Hilda. Although the population knows Swedish, they seldom make use of it, as the local authorities are known to encourage the use of Latin and informally discourage speaking Swedish. Residents only utilize this language when dealing with outsiders, crucially when selling their agricultural products.

The town was founded by an international Latin club that met in Paris. Some of their more eccentric members had gained significant wealth and proposed to create a Latin-speaking colony in the Swedish territory of Saint Hilda. They purchased a substantial amount of land for the project and invited prospective colonists from all around Europe, who were as enthusiastic as they were regarding the old Roman ways and language. Collecting money and supplies, 1,000 European colonists set sail and landed at Saint Hilda, heading towards the purchased, unpopulated lands to isolate themselves. The new town was named Novterram, a shortening of the Latin "Novam Terram", or "New Land".

Since then, Novterram has been an agricultural and ranching force over the centuries, selling its produce to Saint Hilda and abroad. The town prides itself over its quality agricultural output. An interesting quirk of Novterram has been that, unlike the rest of Saint Hilda historically, it has never been extremely racist. In fact, some sympathetic residents have historically sponsored Afro-Hildan families they have met in their commercial trips, and they were provided with land like any other citizen of the colony, provided they learned Latin and adopt the town's ways. Such experiences have isolated this population from any stark racial divides or any dark racial past.

The All-Latin Association of Novterram is the dominant political party in the town by far. It is composed of all the citizens who wish to join. As it is a titan in Novterram, there has never been an MP representing Novterram that did not come from this party. Unlike other political parties, which cater to an ideological section of the populace, the ALAN acts more as a community organization, holding citizens of all ideological stripes, and as a result most, if not almost all locals belong to it. Decisions on major bills presented in the Saint Hildan Parliament, for example, are voted upon by all party members (these include the national budget, laws that significantly impact the local way of life, agricultural laws, etc.). The only concrete goal the ALAN appears to have is to preserve and defend this Latin enclave and its unique way of life, rejecting outside Saint Hildan influence in their culture (for example, if the Saint Hildan government began to demand that Novterram children be taught in and speak only Swedish in school, not Latin, the ALAN would oppose that instantly).

Before university, all of her schooling was on Santa Catarina, in the island's main town, also named Santa Catarina. When she turned 18, she went to Sweden on scholarship to attend Stockholm University, in pursuit of a Bachelor's Programme in International Business and Politics. Not a star pupil by any means, with a rather uneventful tenure at the University, mostly out of concern that any slip-ups would result in her losing her scholarship or being sent back to Santa Catarina. She did manage, however, to make contact with the Swedish Social Democrats, and those casual ties would prove fruitful in the near future. In any event, she graduated seamlessly four years later, with the Class of 2016. She returned to Santa Catarina and threw herself into politics there, advocating for more inclusive public transportation and infrastructure projects on the island, arguing that the benefits of such programs would be two pronged: the tourists who flocked to the uniquely Latin Caribbean island would be able to easier travel around outside of the city of Santa Catarina, and rural communities would be able to better move around the island as well, and all of it would have the shared impact of being environmentally sustainable. The local government agreed, and she caught the attention of the Social Democrats in Santa Catarina, who encouraged her to run for Parliament - her friends in the Swedish SDP undoubtedly were of some assistance in this regard. After a hard fought election, Rosalía Aguado, from humble beginnings, was declared the winner and was now a Member of Parliament for Saint Hilda.

Background: The island now known as Santa Catarina was initially colonized by the Kingdom of Spain in 1503, and the local Taino people, much like their cousins on other islands, were brutally oppressed by the conquistadors who came to their shores. Settlers from Spain, Jesuit missionaries, and slaves from West Africa populated the island, named Santa Catarina after St. Catherine of Siena, and at the mouth of the bay where the first conquistadors laid their flag, a town, church, and fort were constructed. Santa Catarina's sugar cane and tobacco fields would see it become a rich colony of the Spanish Empire, though nothing to compare with larger colonial enterprises in the Caribbean and Latin America. However, by 1897, the Spanish Empire was a shadow of its former self. Racked with political instability, financial woes, and soon to be beset with a war instigated by the United States that would be the final nail in the coffin of the once great empire, the Kingdom of Spain actively searched for a buyer for the colony of Santa Catarina. It found an unlikely buyer in the Kingdom of Sweden, which bought the colony and incorporated it into the Swedish colony of St. Hilda in the December of 1897. The residents of Santa Catarina would struggle to integrate themselves with the Swedes who now governed them, but over the years, Santa Catarinians would come to be unique with their mastery of Spanish, Swedish, and, once tourists started flocking to the cobblestone roads and resplendent churches of Santa Catarina, English. The island is doubly unique in that is perhaps the only island in St. Hilda that is predominantly populated by People of Color. Its largest economic industries are agriculture and tourism, with the former being driven by sugar and tobacco production. A small fishing industry is also present on the island.
