New Colchester, being a safe seat for the so-called "Wallstone Party" thanks to their legacy and base of support there, led to the already-popular NPP getting the largest landslide seen in New Colchester history, and one of the largest in Sankta Hilda history.

Henry Wallstone (NPP): 80%
Willy Miller (SLP:R/LGA): 14%
John Thalmar (PFNS): 4%
Other: 3%

Birgitta Marklund breathed a sight of relief after the final results for her constituency had been declared. She had known the result would be tight in the closely-fought election, but her hopes that deep personal ties to the local community would see her through had been well-placed.

Social Liberal Party - The Radicals (Liberal-Green Alliance): 39%
National People's Party (Freedom Union): 35%
Centre-Progressive: 12%
People's Labour Party: 7%
Sankta Hilda All-Patriots' Congress: 4%
Others: 3%

Madam Shah was a great speaker and set a great example of how our government should truly function. She will be remembered as a truly great speaker. Unfortunately, when we needed to find a replacement speaker, although more people seconded another nominee who was nonpartisan, a so called “acting speaker” emerged, with no documents to prove his authority. You can’t just waltz up and say “because we don’t have a speaker, I’m the Acting speaker.” Since we don’t have a PM, I guess I’m the Acting PM! Then, when I motioned to appeal the chair’s decision and bring it to a vote (standard parliamentary procedure), I got kicked out because the coward was so afraid of losing power he called it a ‘coup’ and called security. #SHAPC #SaintHilda

If neither coalition can muster a majority, then surely it's time for a national unity government?? Put aside petty partisan differences: we're a newly independent nation and need a government now.

Austin gets ready to issue a statement from his office in his district. His speech will be streamed to twitter and YouTube.

“I apologize for my actions, however I think it was completely unjust to ban me from parliament. I talked to my general counsel, and he assured me that this was mandatory. I apologize for disrupting parliament, although I think that the speaker owes me an apology for his unjust actions. Since the position of speaker wields little power other than conducting voting and choosing which bill comes to the house floor, I stand by the Acting speaker. I will return to parliament soon and second the nomination of MP Kristensen for speaker. My goal was never to make a scene, it was just to appeal a decision. I hope that the citizens of Saint Hilda recognize my apology. However, I understand our government has gotten nowhere. I say we need an acting Prime Minister and cabinet. If you do not honor the request, you MPs have failed Saint Hilda.”

Penta was dragged into a police station and tasered. By the time he woke up he was in handcuffs and a voice said to him "Mr James Penta, you are under arrest on suspicion of assault, indecent exposure and threatening behaviour. You do not have to say anything but anything you do say may be used against you. He was then locked into a police cell, with no source of ventilation or light apart from a tiny window near the roof"

Lance stepped up to the jail, knocking on the door. A guard opened it.

"I'm here to talk to Penta."

At first, the guard was going to tell him no. Lance pulled a small bundle of cash out of his pocket, handing it to the guard. The guard smiled and moved aside, pointing Lance to Penta's cell.

After a small walk down the corridor, Lance found the cell. "Penta," he said banging on the door.

"So, Eloise, how are you feeling now?"

Eloise Eliasson was not embarrassed that she had a therapist, only uncomfortable that her constituents might find out. Previously, it was almost impossible to maintain a relationship with a therapist for any long amount of time in her constituency, fearing that she might be recognized. In the capital, she was—at least she hoped—safe from the prying eyes of her constituents. To her advance, the therapist seemed unconcerned by her political identity and had never once brought it up. After three or so lessons, Eliasson cultivated an uneasy trust. For his part, the therapist did his best to lull Eliasson into a sense of security. However, she was particularly unresponsive today, eyes glazed over and a mind elsewhere.

"Eloise?"

Eliasson snapped to attention, "Uh, yes, right. I'm fine." The answer was rehearsed.

"That's good to hear. Why don't you tell me what's going on right now," the therapist said calmly.

"Oh, uh, well," Eliasson began tautly. "There's been a whole mess in the chamber, don't know if you heard. The speaker has resigned right in the middle—"

The therapist chuckled. "Eloise, I mean what's going on in your life."

"Huh? I see," Eliasson relented. "Well, Oscar's tenth birthday was two—no, three—days ago."

"What did you do to celebrate?"

"Baked a cake."

"Did he invite friends?"

"No," Eliasson hesitated, "He's had trouble, he and his sister, to fit in since the move."

"Much like someone I know," the therapist joked.

Touché, Eliasson thought, but made no remark of it. "They're doing fine, though."

"What's worrying you?"

"Nothing. I’m fine. Work, maybe?"

"I can hear it in your voice, Eloise."

"Nothing. I said nothing." Her voice was confrontational and childish. She was more than a little ashamed.

“I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what’s actually going on,” replied the therapist. His tone was flat and calm as usually, but his countenance betrayed a mother’s concern.

There was a long pause. Eliasson shifted in her seat and slowly rubbed her eyelids, moving her hands delicately up to her forehead and along the sides of her face down to her flushed cheeks and then up to the bridge of her nose.

“Perhaps, Eloise, we might discuss this another—”

“What’s bothering me? What's the matter? Well, to start, sir, I cannot help but realize the terrible similarities between my son and me; my husband died when my son was but a few months old, and I hardly remember my own father. My children hardly know my mother-in-law, their grandmother, because I cannot bring myself to take them to her lest I be reminded of him. Olivia, for our collective detriment, has an extremely vivid childhood memory and will at every occasion remind me of when daddy took her for ice cream when she was three or bought her that stupid teddy bear that she still cuddles—and she’s sixteen! Everywhere I go, I am reminded. No peace. No letting go. That’s the matter. Is that better?”

The therapist countenance returned to a smile. "Yes, much better. We will discuss when we reconvene."

The new proposal of taxation is absolutely against the interests of Saint Hilda! Somebody forgot what we politicians are really doing: we're the voice of the Hildans in the Parliament and not members of a bank! I will never stop to think about my city and about the people of Gårt! Vive Saint Hilda!
