"May I remind the honourable member of three things he may wish to consider:
a) This Bill of Rights is very similar to the American one, and St Hilda in the 2010's is a very different place to America in the 1790's, and thus simply adopting the American Bill of Rights is not appropriate for St Hilda.
b) Article 2 is very similar to a constitutional amendment that was defeated: unless one is Theresa May one knows there is no point in bringing legislation back two weeks after it is rejected expecting different results.
c) Legislation should receive sponsorships before being put to the house."

He then walked back out, dialling the number for a taxi to Hagalund.

As I intend to seek the office once again, it would be improper for me to preside over this. I invite a suitably qualified colleague (ooc: one of the admins) to take the Chair in order to establish the rules of the election, and preside over said election.”

Helena left the Speaker’s Chair, purposefully put down the gavel and took her seat on the opposition benches.

He walked up to the Speaker's chair, grabbed the gavel, and began the new speaker election.

The Madame Speaker intends to remain neutral and remove herself from the chair for the election of speaker. It is in that case that I'll preside as Interim Speaker once again.

Nominations will begin now and last for 24 hours. Nominations require a second to be recognized by the chair. After the nomination period we will have a voting period for 24 hours. The schedule will be strictly enforced."

Marius strolled into the chamber. The election had been a blur, rushed campaign speeches and debates, posters plastering walls, television and radio ads, gone as suddenly as it had begun. His seat, Ölhusby, had voted strongly Center-Progressive, in fact he had added a few percentage points on to the previous election. Nationwide results were, as was becoming the norm, quite weak for the party, but there were small patches of strong support where significant and politically talented candidates could rouse it. Nevertheless, it was time to return to work.

Marius retook his appointed seat, and quietly allowed proceedings to continue. When the appropriate time came, he stood. "Mr Interim Speaker, I nominate Helena de Willoughby Shah."
