Seč sighed in relief, it seemed things were finally starting to pick up. “I too, support Willoughby Shah, for Speaker, although I suppose enough people have spoken to the point where I am no longer seconding the motion.”

Having moved away from the hostile Senator, Heinz was now seated in his proper chair, reading the Financial Times. He smiled and stood up, addressing the chamber. "I, as a responsible member of the FSLN, cannot support Ms. Shah's candidacy for the Speakership due to concerns about her competence and neutrality. Instead, I will cast my vote for Senator Wallstone."

John De Clairmont hurried into the chamber, briefcase in one hand and an armful of papers in the other. "Pardon my tardiness" He tells the council, then proceeds to drop his papers, much to the council's amusement. He then organizes his papers and takes a seat. "Who is being nominated?" He whispers to his secretary, who whispers back to him. "Helena Shaw?" He looks through his papers. "Ah, yes. That would be perfect". He stands up and announces to the council "I support the nomination of Helena Shaw for Speaker!"

Jonathon looks around.

"Hmm, so the choices are an independent or the apparent fascist," he whispers, not wanting to draw attention himself. "The choice is quite clear..."

After looking around and still not entirely figuring out how the voting process is meant to work, De Cloet just goes for the simple option of standing up and speaking, "I vote for Madam Shah."

Lisa Forss rises from her seat near the front.

"I vote for De Willoughby Shah for Speaker."
Hello, it's Zap! If you read this it's most likely on a P2TM roleplay thread. I'm not a native English speaker (or writer for that matter), so if you notice mistakes I am happy to receive feedback. I know I'm prone to dangling modifiers, capitalization mistakes, use of commas, and other errors. If I were to use a semicolon, there's a 97% chance I just put it there because they look fancy; I have no idea how they work. If it's spelling it just means Grammarly wasn't cooperating. Thanks.
