Speaker election is soon, then GEA/constitution talk can happen at anytime.

If you mean forming government like coalition, you kinda need a GEA.

Tag. Can politicians change parties?
NS Parliament: Arnold Delbert; National People's Party

This nation is not entirely representative of my views. I've had some fun with the stats and I want to keep them that way.

The Black/Brown/Indigenous Parliamentary Caucus, a multiparty caucus, has been created and is open to people who would like to join. Go into the thread and fill out an application or just tag it for later.

I've found myself making an updated diagram for the Parliament:

[spoiler=Parties and groups]From left to right:
Dark Red: Christian Syndicalist Workers Union Of Saint Hilda
Red: Peoples Labour Party - Mountain Party
Pink: Republic
Gold: Christian People's Congress Caucus
Dark Green: Center-Progressive
Purple: Social Democratic Party
Green: The Greens
Light Blue: Social Liberal Party - The Radicals
Grey: Independents
Blue: National Peoples Party
Yellow: Capitalist Party
Orange: Sankta Hilda All-Patriots' Congress
Black: People's Front for National Sovereignty

One thing I've discovered while making the diagram is that it's very hard to distinguish whether the parties in an alliance should be listed together or separately. I've adopted the same method as the last diagram, and listed the PLP-Mountain Party together, as well as CPC-AAP. This is because the CPC said their alliance is like Labour-Co-Op in the UK, where the party members are listed together, and PLP-Mountain said they were following the CPC. However, the Liberals-Greens-SDP are listed separately as the alliance is of a looser kind. I did put the parties since it makes more sense.

Anyway, not much as changed in terms of membership since the last update. Most of the growth has come from the left, which now looks most likely to form government. The Liberals-Greens-SDP is still the biggest alliance with 13 members, and the NPP second at 8.

Here are some possible coalitions (24 is required for majority):

Left-wing coalition:
LibGreenSDP-CP-CPC-R-PLP = 27

Center-right coalition:
LibGreenSDP-NPP-KP = 27

Center-right coalition (without Liberals):
NPP-KP-SHAPC-PFNS-CPC-CP = 24
(Note it will be unlikely CPC and CP will accept an arrangement with fascists)

So, the Liberal-Green-SDP Alliance still seems the most likely to form government - the only question is with which side.

You can add SHAPC to the list of folks who won't work with fascists, seeing as multiple PFNS members have expressed horrifically racist opinions and would deny basic rights to people who look like my character.

Well, we know sort of know for sure that it will be the outcome and that Bucklinger will get a few from the PFNS in the end, but I think we have to let the rest have a chance to vote too.
Hello, it's Zap! If you read this it's most likely on a P2TM roleplay thread. I'm not a native English speaker (or writer for that matter), so if you notice mistakes I am happy to receive feedback. I know I'm prone to dangling modifiers, capitalization mistakes, use of commas, and other errors. If I were to use a semicolon, there's a 97% chance I just put it there because they look fancy; I have no idea how they work. If it's spelling it just means Grammarly wasn't cooperating. Thanks.

THe thing is, it's taken us nearly a week for people to keep typing "I vote for Ms. Shah". Like if we actually want to get stuff done, we're gonna have to start moving forward. I mean, seriously, it's been a week OOCly and we have yet to get through the first hour ICly.

I am leaving the PFNS due to fascistic influences. I will either be withdrawing and going back to my old party of joining an existing one. Are there any that are willing to take me in?

If you aren't too extreme, I think the NPP can take you.

That's true; and we should begin to close off applications for new RPers. I think that about 50 reps is decent, especially with the number of reps already in the chamber and the ones that need to file into the Senate.

Nah, it was originally a neo-Nazi symbol when it first came out, then the decent people in society turned that on its head by using it themselves. I thought that Heinz's use of that repurposed symbol fit in with his frothing-at-the-mouth vitriolic hatred that borders on ignorance.

Haste makes waste. Though I understand the desire for speed, we can’t go 0-100 in an instant and expect not to make mistakes. Though we are getting the ball rolling with IC voting schedules.

Am I allowed to control Trump for the duration of his state visit to Saint Hilda? I mean, I did ask him to come here.

Mersdon wrote:Then everybody would jack up their numbers more. I feel that maybe the admins should make a table with the names and pre-set populations of all of Saint Hilga's districts on the main OOC page, and then that those that aren't already taken should be chosen by anyone who comes in new. That could work without making anyone cheat...

We could actually campaign and fight for our seats. There's really no point in who or what we vote for since it doesn't affect our popularity. We're effectively an oligarchy because we don't have elections.

We do have elections, ICly, but we don't do them OOC. It is assumed you win your seat. In the NSG Senate people would sometimes post about election rallies in Life Outside. In one iteration of the Senate we had RP elections and results based off that. However, if you lost, you still had a seat, it was just assumed you were elected by party list.
