Nathan Vale
Late-Day New Years Day
The Assembly

"Yes finally", Nathan said excitedly. There had to be a job opening somewhere in this place. Even if it was going to be a short job at that. Turns out there a small time merchant needs an extra hand and about to take a trip to a settlement called Posadasville in the south. It was apart of PLFA and Nathan thought that not only he gets some money, but he can also get to see the PLFA first hand. He has been wondering about them and F.R.O.S.T ever since he first heard about them when he came near Detroit. He thought all traces of the old United States were gone after the bombs but apparently, they are still around and old America's enemy, the communists are still around as well. Guess the nuke failed to completely destroy the old world. After this job, he thought about finding another job that would lead him to F.R.O.S.T so he can see them too. Once the merchant was ready to go with his brahmin all packed with that he was selling. They departed the Assembly and headed south to Posadasville.

Ellen Contreras
January 1st
Posadasville

Comrade Fields leaned against a wall outside the gates of Posadasville. He felt his head, trying to feel what little hair he still had on his ghoulified head. As he looked around, he saw some figures in the distance. He squinted his eyes and saw what appeared to be a merchant, another man, and a Brahmin that had been laden with goods. Upon seeing this, he alerted the other gate guards and stood up. Fields straightened himself and spoke as the caravan came near the gate. "Halt! Please identify yourselves. What is your reason for approaching Posadville?"

George Baker
January 1st
PLFA Capitol Building

Comrade Baker holstered his pistol and gave his assault rifle to another Posadist before he entered the Capitol Building. As he walked up the steps, feeling the strain on his knees he heard talking. He rehearsed his statement in his mind as he neared the door to the roof of the building. "Good day Secretary Pulaski" he said as he passed secretary Pulaski while going up the stairs. Baker opened up the door and was greeted with the meeting. He identified Comrade Browning, Comrade Yonella and finally Comrade Russell. He walked over to Jack Russell and make a closed arm salute to him. "Viva Posadas, comrade Russell. I bring news from Posadasville." He awaited Russell's response.

The merchant stopped in he tracks and motioned with his hand for Nathan to stop and stopped the brahmin. "Hello there", the red hair merchant said in a friendly tone. "I am a merchant from the Assembly and I was hoping on conducting trade with the people of Posadasville". He motioned to the brahmin, "and with me is my bodyguard".

Nathan had his trail carbine in his hands and in a relaxed state. Simply saying "hey", to the guard.

Thomas Polani
Noon, New Years’ Day
Covenant

The commanding officer of Covenant had made her offer, Thomas noted. Go scout the Kingdom of Cain over at Springwells. He knew where that was, and knew about the Cain raiders there. Although he was fairly indifferent towards all of the various factions scattered across the Rusty Wasteland, he didn’t wish for the Kingdom to grow stronger, as they were not very friendly to his boys. Thomas nodded at the officer, whose name he quickly forgotten, and turned Grant and Harding around and rolled on out of the town.

Through the smoldering rubble of the Western hellscape, the Securitrons rolled on their large monowheel. Their arms pointed forwards, ready for the inevitable feral ghoul attack, and their screens projected the standard RobCo police officer’s face. The dull hum and whirrs of their inner workings soothed Polani, as he knew his boys were working as intended.

Grant’s X-25 Gatling laser was offline at the moment, unfortunately, due to some radiation being leaked into the bay in which they are stored in the bunker and corrupting some software, disabling the drivers for the laser. Thomas was not much of a software person, and saw it before the war as a useless endeavor, instead focusing more on the hardware aspect of robotics, and how it would physically function, although he dabbled in programming at times. Can’t be a roboticist without a little bit of programming. He cursed himself under his breath for not spending more time on software, as me might have at least partially restored the drivers if he did. No matter now, however. He had a mission. Harding took point, with the slightly weaker Grant trailing a foot behind.

Suddenly, a ghoul leapt at Harding, attempting to shred him. Of course, the titanium-alloy housing/armor of the robot didn’t give even a little bit, and all the ghoul managed to do was scratch what little paint there was still on Harding’s midsection off, before its head being grabbed with one of the arms, and torn off of its neck. The head rolled down the destroyed street, only stopping when it hit a pile of rubble. Then, Grant’s auditory sensors picked up something. A low growling, from a building. The robots slowed down, ready for a fight. And a fight they got. First, a ghoul pack sprung from a long abandoned building, screaming at the top of their lungs the feral screech that struck terror into all that heard it. But not Thomas Polani. He did not fear mindless zombies.

Grant’s 9mm machine gun blew the heads off of ghouls with accuracy that had not been seen in these god-forsaken streets in so long. The targeting systems took care of the ghouls, and Thomas only painted targets with his eyes. Grant and Harding fired shot after shot into the ghouls, and some went down. But when one went down, two more took its place. The ghouls just kept on coming, and they did not retreat. They were wild animals, no strategy, no fear, and no remorse. Harding shot his laser until it was on the verge of overheating, and quickly switched to his machine gun as well. There must have been a dozen of them at first, but now there seemed to be the entire population of Earth before the war knocking on the Securitrons’ chassis. The robots pumped the ghouls full of lead and laser, but to no avail. Finally, the worst happened. Thomas switched over to Grant’s weapons systems and through the auditory sensors, heard the godforsaken [i]click click click[/b] that he had grown to hate over the years. Of course, he forgot to reload him after he came home the last time!

Jackrabbit casino

Calvin walked into the casino holding in left shoulder with his right hand. Around him people shuffled about playing games. Dealers sat at a few tables dealing cards to blackjack players, others spun the wheel at roulette, and the sounds of cheers and groans could be heard from each table. A row of patrons could be seen playing slot machines, and others could be seen ordering drinks at the barr.

"How was your trip out sir?" Calvin looked over to the door attendant. "It went alright. There were some thugs that tried to take me out but it was handled." The attendant held his hand out towards Calvin "May I take your coat sir?" There was a coat check not too far away. "Yes, please" Calvin provided the attendant with his coat and hat and proceeded inside, still rubbing his shoulder. Around the casino he could see guards stationed around, dressed in orange vault gear they were fairly visible. There was the check in counter on the right, an elevator in the middle, and a staircase on the left. Calvin proceeded towards the stairs.

On top of the stairs was a bar and some tables. Calvin sat down. Over the radio speakers he could the sound of 'Lu-Lu's back in town'. "You can tell all my pets, all my blondes and brunettes, that Mr. Otis regrets, that he won't be around." Calvin hummed along.

An attendant from the bar soon came over to him with a tray. On the tray was an a glass of rum and nuka-cola, and a plate of Mac-n-cheese. He thanked the attendant and proceeded to eat. While he ate he looked over the record he brought back, and thought about what it might sound like.

"So can we enter your settlement and try to conduct trade with Posadasville or not?

Fields stood as the merchant spoke to him, and then took his hands off his rifle and loosened as the merchant identified himself. He spoke "We don't get many merchants around here." He pursed his lips and then continued "You are permitted to enter, but first we must do a search on your transport brahmin. I have been ordered to keep an eye out for FROST spies and we cannot allow any dangerous materials to enter Posadasville." Are you amenable to this? I assure you that we will not steal from you."

Fields looked over to one of the other sentries, a younger human and spoke to him. "Go to Comrade Contreras's office and request her presence here. She is in charge of our caps stockpile and it would be wise to at least see what we can purchase from this merchant." The sentry nodded. "Viva Posadas" he said. "Viva Posadas" Fields responded and watched him run off before turning to face the merchant.

Commissar Jack Russel
New Years Day,
Michigan Central Train Depot Rooftop, West Side Industrial

Jack Russel paused from his discussion with Comrade Yonella and Comrade Browning saw the man approach and put out his cigarette, he replied, "And good day to you comrade. What news do you have for me?

The Red Knight,
New Years Day, Evening
The Free Territory of Detroit

The levy had been assembled, numbering two hundred and forty men they stood in a loose formation as they marched down McGraw Avenue with the Red Knight leading them at the vanguard with his minigun. Lower officers barked orders and the drummers played their war beat. As they approached the settlement the anarchists began to mobilize a black bloc militia and took positions at their barricades. The Red Knight approached their defensive position with a few men in front and shouted "Surrender or die!"

The militiamen eyeing the tall and muscular man in cherry red power armor took positions, one shooting and narrowly missing a weak point in the gap between his helmet and torso. As it glanced off he replied, "So be it." Him and his men took cover, as they did so Red Knight reached for his sidearm and fired a black flare. in the distance of the roadway slaves could be seen shackled together and strapped with explosives. They were captured members of the Liberation Front, many from the very settlement they were now approaching. As they closed in, the firing stopped and the anarchists elected a negotiator. The negotiator approached the gate and shouted, "Fine, we will speak!" The Red Knight stood and faced the man and replied, "Then you surrender?"

The man replied in a nervous tone, "Let's just talk about this, maybe no one needs to die here!". The Red Knight replied in a stern voice, "Then you die." The slave handlers aimed their guns at the chain gang and prompted them to start marching, as they approached the entrance gates to the Free Territory they pleaded for mercy, they would have none. Once they were in range of the entrance the Red Knight himself shouted, "Men! We are going in! Open fire!" A cascade of bullets rained on the chain gang detonating it and blowing open the gate. Snipers picked off blac bloc men as they cowered behind the rusted vehicles and cement bags that had been hastily built into a defensive position. Then came a volley of grenades. The defense was quickly broken and the militiamen ran north east for the Warrens, most did not make it far as dogs were sent out to hunt them down.

Once the settlement was taken the leaders of the settlement were tortured to death, some crucified, some drawn and quartered, some still having their lungs torn through their backs and placed around their shoulders. The captured militiamen were decimated with one in ten being executed on the spot, the others were enslaved along with the civilians and children and sent in chain gangs back to the Kingdom itself along with an escort of one hundred men, those who resisted were shot point blank. Finally the houses in the settlement were razed and the armaments and supplies seized and sent along with the slaves. The remaining men began to fortify the position. Five couriers were sent to the outskirts of the Warrens with the heads of the decimated in a bag to dump. A message was to be sent, that the Kingdom of Cain was no longer to be taken for granted. Across the borders of the Kingdom of Cain and the PLFA, levies manned outposts in preparation for an act of retaliation.

I got few guns but, I doubt that counts as dangerous." He awkwardly grinned at Nathan, "This should not take long".

"I bet, he said and stepped back from the brahmin. He turned his gaze to the settlement and started to get a good look at it. "So these people are living in a pre-war hospital", he thought. Never seen that before and he wondered what it looked like inside. Chances he would not get a chance to see much of the place. At least he could see how the PLFA run things. Though what does comrade mean and it is good that they accept ghouls. They got it bad enough in the state that they are in. Now to wait for Fields to clear them and he caught an eye out just in case something were to happen. He doubted it would but, it plays to be careful.

Two guards converged around the brahmin. They opened the flaps of the containers and began looking inside the packs. Some moved items in order to see deeper inside. After about two minutes the guards closed up the containers. One of the guards shouted "Clear." Fields promptly nodded to the merchant and spoke to him. "Thank you. Your request to access is approved." He then turned around to the gate. He looked up and shouted. "Open the gate!"

As the gate began to open, Fields turned to the merchant and spoke calmly. "Take a left when you enter, that will take you into the parking lot. We refer to it as town square - I will alert the other comrades to your arrival. I imagine that Comrade Contreras would like to purchase something from you. She is the leader of our commune. Good day and welcome to Posadasville." Then then made a closed fist salute. "Viva Posadas."

As the radio crackled to life and the voice of commander Ross seeped through into the dilapidated office Charlie exhaled an audible sigh of relief, despite Charlie's hands on experience with Enclave technology he knew that experimental technology was just that: experimental. It did really shake your faith in progress when you saw a suit of power armour crush a man like an egg. Yet finally after the terror, the near death experiences and the exhaustion he'd managed to establish a small oasis of American glory in a putrid sea of communism.

Charlie cleared his throat and responded " Ah thank God, Commander Ross this is lieutenant Caro I've managed to set up in a safe location, im awaiting as per your orders for further instructions."

Lt. Andrew Scott
( there isn't much to write about so I'll make it brief )

Scott didn't hear the order until now, he was to head back to base for some reassignment he presumed. He tasked someone with coordinating the cleaning of this area and he headed back to base.with about 10 people beside him. The walk was fast and he was back in the airbase in no time. As he entered he asked just one thing "where is Commander Ross". Scott was very curious about this mission, what the hell could it be. Maybe some attack on somewhere, thinking of this possibility he ordered through radios for about 10 additional men to head back to base, maybe it was some covert operation. Who knew...

Brandon Ross held the radio firmly as he listened to Caro speak. He then promptly responded. "Good work lieutenant. Your orders are to continue your work in infiltrating Riverfront and attempt to gain information on the PLFA's upper leadership. Ask around - access terminals. More importantly, learn where the PLFA's leadership is located. You are also tasked with discovering and reporting how Riverfront produces food and what kinds of hydroponics they are using. Keep up the good work lieutenant."

An officer came up to Ross after he had turned off the radio. "Sir, Lieutennant Scott has returned to the airbase and is asking for you." Ross nodded. "Bring him to me. I need to brief him on the upcoming mission."

( not much to write about so it's brief )

Lt. Andrew Scott

Scott got lead by an officer to Commander Ross in the radio station, after a salute from his side Scott asked: " What is it, Commander?" He was now pretty sure it got to be some kind of mission, maybe an attack on the commies. Oh, how Scott would wish this was the case, he would love to finally show those goddamn Red bastards where is their place. A few seconds after the men Scott brought with him were standing outside the station

Ross led Scott to a large planning area. He went up to a large screen and pressed a button. The screen flashed on, showing a map of Detroit. The map has been sectioned into different areas, with notes on which faction controlled which territory. Ross pointed a glowing circle located near the Cain-Southern FROST border. "Lieutenant Scott, this denotes the location of "Four Streets", a settlement formed in 2084. Scout reports indicate that Kingdom of Cain forces recently visited this settlement. I would like you to gather a squad and scout this area out. We have not intercepted any radio traffic coming from or in this settlement since around four months ago. We need to figure out what happened at Four Streets. Scout out the area and report back. I suspect Cain has established a outpost near or in Four Streets. Destroy it and gather any intelligence you can. I want to get a lead on how Cain's forces communicate.

Ross moved his finger over to another dot, on the PLFA-Cain border. His face became grim. "Our radio intercepts went crazy only two hours ago. Something happened here. Given that it happened so recently, I imagine Cain's forces at that outpost I mentioned should have at least some intelligence on what happened. Maybe something written down, a holotape or something." Ross looked at Scott directly. "Cain has being massing forces. We need to know what he's up too."

Ross looked at Scott. "Do you have any questions?"

If the Assembly begins hosting FROST troops, we will become trapped behind enemy lines, as the Assembly will block our access to the subway stations. Baker then stood at attention and awaited Russell's answer.

Nathan simply nodded at the merchant and put away his trail carbine. Seeing how they are allowed in without any trouble.

The merchant walked over to his brahmin and motioned to it to follow him. The brahmin followed without delay and the group walked inside of Posadasville. It did not take long for them to arrive at the parking lot. While the merchant did not care about his surroundings, Nathan was casually scanning the place. "Nice set up they have here", he thought. Almost reminded him of a settlement he found while on the road. When they arrived at the center of the parking lot, the pair waited for Comrade Contreras to arrive.

Lt. Andrew Scott
Morning of January the 1st

"No Sir" Scott replied with vigor, well, it was obviously fake vigor, he didn't want to show to the Commander he was simply a bit tired, he didn't saw much sleep since the mission on New Year's Day, but he knew what the new mission was at least, search the area of Four Streets, Destroy any Cain forces and Retrieve any documents regarding their next moves, easy as that.

Scott took 10 men out of the 20 he brought along him, it might have been seen as a small amount, but, they were the finest soldiers from the boys he got, the rest were delegated back to clearing out the Ghouls, there was surprisingly a lot in that Neighborhood Scott chose, about 4 in every house plus a couple in the backyards ( OOC: Alouite can you add the camp Scott set up to the map? ) he then took the route of Metro towards the place they needed to get to, but before going into Cane's territory Scott decided to pay a visit to Outpost Gamma, they were after all the closest settlement to Four Streets.

The Walk took about 7 hours and it was already afternoon when Scott and his men arrived at Outpost Gamma

Jackrabbit casino

After finishing his Mac and cheese it was time to give the record to the radio studio. Calvin got up and made his way past a few tables to the stairs. Returning to the main floor Calvin looked to his left. In front of him was a line up as people tried to go the cashiers office to buy, exchange or cash in their chips. It appeared like another crowd had also started gathering for the afternoon showing in the theatre, an attempt at a remake of the Ziegfeld follies.

Calvin looked back to the right, towards a check-in counter for the hotel, and started walking towards the elevator. He passed some people reading on a couch, and some armed guards in orange vault uniforms before he arrived at the elevator doors.

The big iron doors to the elevator had been painted to show a jackrabbit on each of the doors. Once inside he looked over the buttons. There were two rows, each with a label next to it. Basement floors 1-3, Casino, hotel floors, cocktail lounge, radio, and office floors among them mainly.

Calvin pushed the radio floor, inserted a key, and waited. A tune flooded the air that protruded an air of the pre-War. Elevator music. The music lasted for about two minutes before the doors opened. The radio room had a hallway leading from the elevator with a flowery couch and coffee table to one side. Pictures of pre-War people sat hanging from the walls with names embedded in brass underneath. The hallway opened up into a waiting room with a piano and couches. Around the waiting room were doors with labels such as “Archives”, “Storage”, “Writing”, Recording”, and “meeting”.

It was interesting that the piano had survived. He remembered having to do a fair amount of work to get the building back into shape but the piano had survived the war. Looking at the record in his hand Calvin made his way to the storage room. Knocking twice on the door, Calvin let himself in. Inside were rows of records on shelves, accompanied by cassette tapes. Two people sat behind desks near the front. “Hello Jean, Hello Mark” Calvin said, addressing them. The two said hi back and Calvin continued. “I found this record outside. Can you add this to the collection?” They said they would and Calvin left the room.

Going to sit on the couch he listened to the radio music coming from the speakers. “You’re listening to jackrabbit radio. The premier radio statio in the city of Chicago. Up next is an old tune but a good tune from the pre war days. For those of you that remember the days of driving around in your cars it might bring back some memories. Here is Billy Murray singing he’d have to get out and under to fix his automobile.”

"Nice and good day to you too, the merchant said with a smile and turned to face Nathan. "See no problem and now let's get inside so I can get a deal with these guys".

Ellen Contreras sat at her desk writing a poem until a sentry walked through the door and went up to her. "Viva Posadas" the sentry said. She raised her hand and responded "Viva Posadas". The Sentry stood at attention. "Comrade Contreras, a merchant has entered Posadas. Comrade Fields requested your presence in order to commence trade." Contreras nodded and ran her hand through her hair. "Check how many caps we have in storage. Viva Posadas." She got up and walked to out of her office and into the elevator. She pressed the button and the elevator lit up as it headed down. When the elevator came down she promptly got out and left the hospital and walked over to the parking lot where she saw the Merchant. She walked up to him and made a closed fist salute. "Viva Posadas" she said and then held out her hand to shake.

"Viva Posadas", he said weakly as he put his hand out and shook her hand. "Hello, my name is Jake Hiran and I would like to do some trading with you". He quickly moved to his brahmin and started to list what he had. "Now I got a good selection of goods here. Got some crafting components, some medical supplies and more. And also includes guns if you are interested", he brought a few out for a moment before placing it back on the brahmin. "I got an assault rifle, two shotguns, some pistols, and...." And do not worry about ammo, I some for each weapon I have or would you like some less deadly? Which can be arranged", he motioned to his brahmin, you can inspect the goods on my brahmin if you desire and pick out something you like. If you find something then we can start to work out a price". He gave a big smile, now what you would like Ms".

Nathan was silently watching and the two as he waited for the trade talks to end. He took an interest when Jake brought out the laser rifle and looked like his own weapon. "Could I...... na, I do not the money for that'. He thought and went back watching the two.

Afternoon of January the 1st
Outside Gamma Outpost

Scott requested a meeting with the outpost leading officer as his men were going to eat their lunch, slim rations this day...

Scott was greeted by a officer. "Greetings Lieutenant Scott, command informed me of the situation. My name is Major Liam Byrne." The officer led Scott to a map and spoke to him. "I've marked out a path for your squad. From Gamma, go down Arno Street until you end up in Allen Park. I have ordered a pair of sniper teams to set up shop outside of Allen Park - I will give you this radio to communicate with them, code name Falcon 1 and Falcon 2. I recently received word that Kingdom of Cain troops have send a garrison of around 10 raiders to that spot. At least one of their men is in power armor and has a minigun, while the rest are lightly armored infantry. They don't seem to be alert and appear to only be setting up a minor outpost in that region, so I can say with certainty that they haven't learned of your arrival. Eliminate Cain's forces in the park."

Byrne then put his finger on Four Streets. "My reports indicate that only a few Cain patrols are in this region. However, I must warn you that one we suspect a member of Cain's command staff may be residing inside the outpost Cain's forces have set up. Specifically, a member of the Sons of Cain recently arrived at the Outpost. We suspect that he will be heavily armed and will be surrounded by a group of bodyguards. If you can kill, or, even better, capture him then that will strike a blow at Cain's command structure." Byrne looked at Scott. "Do you have any questions? If not you have clearance to begin your operation immediately. " He awaited Scott's response.

We always need more stimpaks. Do you have clean water?" She looked at the laser rifles. "Thank you for the offer, but I don't think we have the technology to maintain them. We have enough trouble keeping the walls maintained as it is. I am interested in your medical supplies. Also, you mention crafting components." Ellen stroked her chin. "What is that? Steel, concrete? We could definitely use some of that."

Contreras stood up and spoke. "How much for the medical supplies?" She frowned, thinking to herself wondering how much the supplies would cost, but got the thought out of her mind and looked at Jake.

“He had to get under, get out and get under, and fix up his automobile”. Calvin sung along to the end of the song and then prepared to stand up.
“And now for something more modern. Darktown strugglers ball by Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadian’s.”

Calvin made his way towards the elevator. He clicked the down button and waited. Above the elevator a bar with letters and numbers from left to right started moving.
M..3..6..9

Soon the arrow approached his floor and the doors opened. He stepped inside and pressed the button marked by M for main. The elevator music soon began. On the way down he travelled past the office floors, the cocktail lounge, and as he past the hotel room floors people joined him. On each of the floors more people cane and went from his elevator. At times he was stuck in the corner of the elevator, trapped between ladies in dresses, men in suits, and the metal bar that wrapped around the elevator.

In short order the doors opened on the main floor. Guards stood on either side of the elevator door, and on either side people gambled at tables and slot machines. The slot machines occasionally made a loud ringing sound as someone won and a bunch of coins poured out from the bottom.

Calvin left the elevator and when he hit the exterior walkway he turned left. Along the way he passed the bar. “Excuse me. Pardon me” He said to the patrons on the line as he made his way through. At the rear of the casino the wall broke into two openings. Calvin entered the closer one to reveal the room broken by a dividing wall.

Behind the wall was a long hallway stretching horizontally. A reception desk was in front of him with a receptionist at the counter. Fern plants spread out on the left and right in a square gardens. A dividing wall sat behind the reception desk.

Calvin made his way behind the dividing wall and towards an elevator. The elevator led to a penthouse. He pressed the up button, inserted and turned his key and waited for the door to open. Before long he made his way up to the penthouse.

"Well, it depends on how much of my stock you want". He said with a happy tone. "No, on the clean water through", his tone shifted downward. "I do not sell food or drinks however it is always nice to have some clean water in this wasteland". He started to pace back and front in front of the brahmin. "As for my crafting components, no steel or concrete. That's... a bit heavy for my brahmin to carry. I have some that could be used to repair weapons or like. I do have some parts that what I have been told use to make a weapon called a railway rifle". His speech started to pick up, "Only seen that thing get used once and boy that was a sight. It uses railway spikes though so getting ammo would be tricky. But, back to the medical supplies, I got stimpaks, RadAway, Rad-X, and some Med-X. He stopped in place and took a moment to think. Flicking his fingers like he was about to snap them. "If you were by chance wanted all of my medical supplies then that would be...... " He finally snapped his fingers, "550 dollars". He turned to look at Contreras in the eye. "That sounds expensive but, that is only if you want my whole stock of meds. And negotiating is on the table if you wish for a lower price".

Nathan Scott
January 1st, 2099
Chrysler Drive, outside of the downtown F.R.O.S.T militarized zone

Nathan Scott was not inconspicuous. Nathan Scott was by no means inconspicuous no matter how hard he hid behind the petrified remains of a tree. The fact that his Brahman, B.H.I., kept mooing and wandered around the tree made him a dead give away to anyone on patrolling the militarized zone. But, this was not a problem for Nathan Scott, the brilliant intellectual he was, surely there was a way for him to get in without drawing undue attention to himself. His plan, if it could really be called that, was to sneak in, leading B.H.I through the highly militarized area of downtown Detroit, through checkpoints filled with heavily armed, and presumably trigger happy thugs, and straight to whatever command center he came across. Then he'd hitch B.H.I. and march straight up to whoever was in charge and hand them his (stained, torn, and sloppily written) resume. This, he thought, would impress whoever was in charge enough that he would simply be handed a job instead of being forced to travel the highly hazardous wasteland for work. Thankfully, that way presented itself several hours ago in the form of a dead F.R.O.S.T. soldier, his uniform still about as fresh as one can hope on a corpse. Nathan didn't care much for looting a dead body, but this opportunity was too good to pass up, especially since he still had his equipment in the form of a Plasma Defender with several energy cells.

So, dressed in a looted F.R.O.S.T. uniform with a dingy lab coat draped over it, Nathan led B.H.I. into the downtown militarized zone, hoping beyond hope he wouldn't be immediately beaten, questioned, shot at, disintegrated, turned into a pile of glowing goop, or subjected to any of the horribly violent, painful, and not quick at all ways to die in the Wasteland. "Well, here goes nothing..." He said as he entered the militarized zone, shaking and trembling like a dead leaf in a rad storm.
