•Short Biography: Varela was born as you could say as a foreigner in America. His parents Guatemalans that had managed to get into America through his fathers connection with the CIA during the Civil War, as such Leonardo's father Javier Varela was the beginning of Leonardo's career in the CIA. Leonardo had an average childhood for most of his Youth growing up in regular america school with support from the American government due to his fathers service which Leonardo would not know about until he was 15. As for his childhood he spent most of it almost pretending he was a Guatemalan even though he was officially born in Dallas, Texas. When Leonardo was 15 his life would change when his Father introduce to his former life as a CIA recruited operative working in Guatemala during the Civil War and also helping out with the DEA in NARCOS operations. Leonardo's father told him about what he had done in his home country and how he was going back in the agency to work as a trainer for future operatives. Leonardo quickly fell in love with the stories and how his father risked everything for what he believed in.
For the next few year Leonardo put himself deep into his studies working towards getting a degree in Law and Criminology at Texas State. Afterwards he applied for a job with in the CIA itself as data analyst and profiler to which he was quickly accepted and at the age of 22 joined the CIA. For the next 10 years he was posted across the World such as being send to Afghanistan but mostly spending time in Central and South America due to his race and the fact he can speak Spanish and Portuguese perfectly. However over time he became a bit disillusioned with his original life he thought he would live in the CIA as he continued his life in the CIA mainly due to the fact of him feeling closer to his Hispanic brothers of his Father's land rather then his American friends he knew back home. Still he knows not to betray the CIA that is something he knows he will never do and as such he continues on as much as he can.
