"By all means, be my guest." Henshaw answered, glancing up to see who'd just spoken to him. "Ah, Captain Owen isn't it?"
"I see I'm not the only who decided to beat the rush. Just as well I suppose as its likely to be a busy day."
"But here we stand on the threshold of humanity's latest endeavour, setting forth ever further into the unknown. My apologies captain, I had a keen interest in science fiction in my oh so distant youth."
"Though I imagine the significance of the venture we are about to embark isn't lost on you?"
"Sorry to interrupt, sir, but I couldn't help overhearing." she started. "Personally, I hope this is significant. Wouldn't want to be stuck in another galaxy only to find its the Ancient equivalent of a port-o-potty." she continued, jokingly.

Taking a swig of the boiling hot coffee with no hesitation, Owen started to eat. A bite of bacon, a bite of eggs, and the half decent meal actually turned out to be pretty good in total. Granted you started to have to measure shit out, but that really wasn’t that hard to do. “That said, hope the Ancients didn’t fuck this one up like they did Pegasus. God that was annoying.”

"Tell me about it. If I see another one of those Queen of the Damned rejects again, it'll be too soon."
"By the way, I'm Dr. Phoenix Ventura. And you are?"
"Dr. Ventura."
"How are the preparations going?"

Her eyes wandered to the newcomer, (...) though somewhere in the back of Owen’s mind she knew that the fact that she was staring him over was...probably uncomfortable.

“Though I’m afraid that I have to dampen your spirit doctor.” Continued Henshaw. “We’re likely to encounter some sort of Wraith presence in Orion.”
“Though they should be on ice, but I doubt that would’ve done any wonders for their disposition after a few thousand years.”
Just then Atlantis’ PA system chimed and a voice called out throughout the length and breadth of the great city-ship. ”Attention. Attention. Calling all Orion personnel. Please have personal effects packed and ready for assembly in the gate room at ten hundred hours. I say again, please have all personal effects packed and ready for assembly in the gate room at ten hundred hours. Atlantis control out.”
“Well….” Muttered Henshaw as he drained the last of his tea. “Best get some packing done.”
Henshaw had long been drilled on the military practice of being ready five minutes before the stated time and had arrived in the gate room, complete with a fully packed Bergen, at 0950 hours. It would, at least, show who was more eager and punctual amongst the military element of the expedition. After all they were going to be the first ones through the gate and it made sense for the military personnel to arrive first before the area became crowded by the rest of the expedition.
Up in the control room he spied Gillian talking with what seemed to be an officer in a USAF blue Service Dress uniform. Henshaw knew that a high ranking general had come to see them of, though he couldn’t quite recall what the general’s name was. Though he knew the general was from Homeworld Command and thus pretty important as far as the Stargate Programme was concerned.

"Alright, I guess that answers my question, get whatever you haven't already packed together, Jules." Phoenix spoke up.
