Local Japanese wizard/muggles are here to study how gaijin run a society, and return home to the Emperor in order to better their own society in theory. My character is a bit of an animal lover and wants to compare notes with King Paul.

Basically Rangaku 2: Gallian Boogaloo

Japanese muggles will have to either always have an escort, same as native muggles. The provisions of the Roi's edicts do not extend to foreigners, so they likely will have a bodyguard of sorts. In a sign of good faith, they will be drawn from the King's personal guard.

Name: Lucjusz Jabłoński aka: Obrońca Orła Białego (defender of the White Eagle)

Age: 44

Sex: Male

Appearance: Jabłoński looks like a normal, albeit strong-looking Polish man. He is about 6 feet tall. Bald, and about 180 pounds. He also has one Green eye (he lost the other during a raid) so he always wears sunglasses. He will often be seen wearing a tank top, along with cargo pants and combat boots.

Personality: having been on the run since practically birth. He is very cautious of those he does not know. Although those that see him as a friend describe him as willing to put everything on the line for the safety of his fellow man. And always having a plan B if things go wrong. He is proud of his heritage, and will do anything necessary to free his Homeland of from the clutches of the Dark Lord. And those that see him as the enemy describe him as a cold and unfeeling person. Keeping little to no survivors in raids on the dark lord’s positions in the polish countryside.

Allegiance: he is the current leader of the Arma Krajowa (a polish resistance movement), and therefore albeit unofficially, the Order of the Phoenix

Biography: Lucjusz Jabłoński was born to a family of Polish Jews living in the Warsaw before the Germans invaded in 1939. His family was caught in a collapsing building during the fall of Warsaw, and he was orphaned. General Leopold Okulicki (real person) of the Polish Army found him amongst the rubble. And brought him with him as he fled Warsaw. Jabłonski was raised as Okulicki’s own son, and quickly learned what it meant to be a pole. Since he was a child, he could not do much, but he did learn to shoot at a very young age. Impressing the Arma Krajowa’s leadership with his natural talent. When the Dark Lord and his forces swept across Europe, Poland included. This heavily demoralized the Home Army. For they had just thrown off the shackles of the Nazis, only to be put under foot by another totalitarian regime.

Okulicki was killed the next year, after imperial assassins found the command hideout, and after significant resistance, shot him in the heart. This devastated Jabłonski, for he was the only family he ever knew, and despite only being 11 years old, he vowed to eventually free Poland from the tyranny of the Dark Lord. So starts his extensive career as a resistance fighter, marksman, and strategist. After the death of Okulicki, he stepped up his training, becoming one of the top marksmen in the resistance by his 17th birthday. And also learned the art of bomb making. And quickly became a professional at that also. Many bounties were out on the head of what imperial forces labeled “Przerażenie wisły” or “the terror of the Vistula.” Due to his unremarkable look, he was able to easily blend in with his surroundings after a hit.

His record and streak were unanswered, over 45 prominent member of the Polish collaborationist government had been murdered by his hands. But his luck was about to run out, during an attack on a prominent Magical Imperial commander visiting Gdańsk. He was led into a trap, although he managed to escape. It cost him his eye, and many of his fellow resistance fighters. Now believing there was a traitor amongst the Home Army command. He personally led an investigation into it, finding that the second in command of the Army Klimek Kwiatkowski, was a traitor. Who was trying to bring in jabłonski for his crimes. Kilmer was subsequently executed by hanging, and jabłoski was made second in command.

Finally, in 1975, the old leader of the Arma Krajowa retired, and put jabłoski in charge. He quickly decided to try and found an official headquarters. And used the old WW2 era German defense works of Southern Poland as his home base. Nobody would go around that area, due to the knowledge of past mass murders held within the compounds. Although this turned out to be a good call for his movement. It wasn’t so much for him. Following a hit in 1978, he came upon a large military checkpoint. He tried to get past it. But he was outnumbered 5-1. And was captured by imperial forces. He now currently resides within the prison complex of Nurmengard. Undergoing constant torture in order to root out where his resistance is based. As of now, he is still imprisoned, yet yearns for the day when the White Eagle soars again.

I'm just going to make a slightly stereotypical anime character, then somehow make him likeable and plausible in this otherwise grim dark timeline.

I mean, accidental magic is a thing that happens with wizard kids regardless of blood status unless they are a Squib (non-magic person born to wizarding parents). You can't not know you're a witch or wizard, even as a muggleborn - especially with things as they are in this version of the world.

Crouch would likely dislike him privately, feeling that he is too lenient with Muggles and that he aligns more with his own country than with the will of the Empire. (This based on my understanding of Paul's biography, correct me if I am wrong.) Nevertheless, since Paul has yet to slip up or show the slightest sign of disloyalty to Grindelwald, Crouch would pay him grudging respect and maintain a courteous façade when dealing with him, not allowing his innermost suspicious to come out until he finds solid evidence of treachery.

I'm thinking about apping a German soldier who is a veteran of ww2. What is the status of Germany here?

As I feel that Gallia is not yet completely described, my original character application post will have an addendum to it on the aspects of the Kingdom. Politics, governmental workings, military structure, and economic principles will be described fully I hope.

And to Crouch, I think Paul would find him...uncomfortable, though fun to engage in a little bit of sparring. An unerring sense to ordered law gives some allowances to the King; I suspect cutlery would be placed crooked on his table, a painting set to lean just a little to the right, things to that effect. Little things. A zealous fury is something the King most definitely does not approve of; laws should be followed as they lay, not as the emotion of the prosecution bears.

A German soldier who fled to America in 1945 due to a random duel he likely did not know of (I suspect Albus did not talk much of it and, were he a friend to Grindelwald, I doubt he'd have fled). In 1945, on the cusp of German victory over the Allied powers.

This works, though by 1981 he'd be at least in his fifties, and he would probably have to be a Muggle - since, as the OP said, magic manifests in children. So you wouldn't grow to adulthood and serve in a Muggle army unless you were actually a Muggle.

I love the concept, and would make an app if I wasn't so busy. However, if anyone wants my idea, go for it.

This RP begins in 1981. 1981 is also the same year Frank and Alice Longbottom were driven into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange, shortly after October 31. But in this alternate timeline, what if Frank and Alice had survived? RPing as Frank would be really cool.
