Government Explaination: The French government ever since the second revolution been controlled by a close approximation of a corporatocracy with a far more nationalistic inclination. At the top of the executive is the General executive committee who appoints the judiciary and elects the Premier, they also have the ability to dismiss the premier whenever they want, the committee is made up of a number of corporate representatives from the national corporations that comprise the nation's economy. As for the Premier he also has extensive powers: he can enact edits and modify the law, he can appoint ministers, local governors and as chief of staff, he is also in charge of the army.
The legislative branch is comprised of 120 elected officials in a unicameral chamber however as all political parties are banned and the legislative branch has very little actual power, they have pretty much only one purpose to assist the premier in passing laws.

Technology: France has by 1936 become an entirely diesel powered state fed by the steady and stable stream of black gold coming in from the French colonial territories, only the most impoverished businesses continue to use steam powered technology as the state has made a concerted effort to put France at the forefront of the world's technological development through the use of subsidies aimed at R&D companies. The state has also, without the knowledge of the public, set up several facilities throughout the empire dedicated towards the development of biotechnology. The dieselpunk technology of the French state has been dedicated almost entirely to industrial and military development with little put into the development of consumer goods.
Machine ideas:
- The réservoir de forteresse: In the aftermath of the great war and the new doctrine adopted by the French military quite a few adaptations and improvements have been made upon the original moving fortress. The machine has been stripped of all it's AA guns and has been shrunk in size significantly, in return significantly more powerful engines have been added to it as well as thicker armour. A variety of more powerful guns have also been added to the Tank enabling it to become the main bushing force behind the Armée de terre.
- The sand glider: A new type of light armour developed in order to combat insurgents in Algeria and the North African territories. Using new aviation techniques the Armée de terre and the Armée de l'Air have been able to create a small lightly armoured tank that is capable of hovering a few centimetres off the ground, this allows the glider to achieve great amounts of speed and also permits it to travel over an immense variety of different terrain types, it will often act as support to more heavily armoured units as by itself the glider is quite easy to destroy.
