Name: Marcus Capponin
Age: 36
Position in the Royal Government: Advisor to the throne
True Intention: To convince the Queen to grant a charter for the founding of a Royal Trading Company. He hopes to reap the riches of the West and the East.
Short Bio: Marcus was born a member of the merchant class. His father owned a ship and traded with the other nations of Rinin. Marcus accompanied his father on these voyages. He visited far away ports and met many strange people. Marcus developed a gift for languages, ships, and exploration. By the age of twenty, Marcus had command of his own trading ship. He sailed East to Emura where he made a fortune by selling the goods so common in Tarinia. He made an even greater fortune by returning with the rare goods of the East.
At the age of twenty-six, Marcus inherited his father's trading house. He soon began to expand the shipping network of his father. For years he ran his mercantile empire and kept his hands out of the messy politics of the realm. He was content to pay is taxes and be about his business. But, he now realizes that the riches of the New World and the East can not be exploited without the aide of the young Queen. So he has come as an advisor and to gain the Queen's boon.

Name: Sir Francis Irvington
Age: 38
Position in the Royal Government: Head of the New World's Colonisers
True Intention: To expand the power of Tarinia and to compete with the other powers of Rinin in colonising the new world, at any cost.
Short Bio: Francis was raised in a somewhat higher than average class, although the Irvington family wasn't exactly nobility. While the family had a lot of military history, Francis was not too ken on the normal military work despite his patriotism and desire to serve Tarinia. He was however, forced by his father, Thomas Irvington to join the Royal Navy at the age of 18. Francis did not find the navy to his liking as he was quite timid at the time, but news of the New World excited him at such a young age.
At the age of 24, he applied to work as a settler in the Tarinian New World and was sent off to the New World quickly because of his naval background. In Tarinia, there was a notable shift in his personality and quickly grew leadership skills, most likely from the harsh conditions of the New World he was forced to live under. At the young age of 28, he was appointed a management position for the settlement, a very high and prestigious position with much influence. His policies of native treatment, which comes to near genocide was questioned by many of his colleagues to which he fired back with arguments saying that "strict treatment was necessary". His fierceness eventually led him to be appointed to Head of the New World's Colonisers, a position which looks to the expansion of Tarinian territory in the New World by the age of 35.

Name: Duke Casimir Langrayne
Age: 52
Position in the Royal Government: High Chancellor
True Intention: Duke Casimir wants, above all else, to seize the throne. The current rebellious uprisings that clamor for democracy are seen as a dangerous distraction, and one that is ultimately trying to undo all his years of hard maneuvering. That said, Casimir does think the populists might be a useful tool in his quest, if he can use them right...
Short Bio: Duke Casimir Langrayne was born into a long, distinguished noble line in Tarinia, that can be traced back to the time of Aelric the Great a thousand years before. The line of Langrayne, however, had always had a keen ambition in the game of Houses, by which power and prestige were ultimate prizes. Casimir himself learned the need for political influence from his father, and grandfather before him. Both skilled manipulators, the previous generations of Langraynes moved their house and line into higher standings than before. Casimir directly benefited from their actions and surpassed both.
While inheriting lands and estates, as well as the title of Duke, Casimir also was able to maneuver himself into a greater prestige some fifteen years earlier. By the use of innuendo, carefully considered words, promises, threats and a keen knowledge of the law, Casimir became a magistrate, a royal magistrate, and then finally, the High Chancellor of Tarinia. As High Chancellor, Casimir rules on the law of the land, and serves as an elder advisor to Queen Sophia on legal and populist matters.
And it is because of that access to the Queen's ear, that Casimir's plans to finally take the throne may come to fruition!

Name: Henry "the Bastard" Teborg
Age: 23
Position in the Royal Government: Spymaster
True Intention: Gain legitimization, acquire titles and land, and perhaps gain some throne elsewhere.
Short Bio: Henry was born to Louis's half-brother, Philippe, who had taken up a life in the monasteries just before his birth, this was due to him predicting that a child was going to be born and so he would avoid that silly business by becoming a monk, and left little Henry over to his brother Louis as a result. There he would be taught aboutany different things, but as time wore on, it appeared that he had an inclination for skulduggery, not only was he a great liar, he also was someone that could convince you swiftly if you let him. By the time he grew into a young man, he had already gathered a small, rudimentary information network that he used to know different things, which he then would use to gain various benefits. This set him on a position to be the next Spymaster, and he was taking the lessons of the current one to heart. Then he proved himself when he was able to kill the spymaster with a paid bowman, and was not found guilty. Needless to say, the 19 year old became Spymaster real quickly. Then the war for the throne came right after his 20th birthday. It took 3 years, that war, but they won and he became Spymaster of the entire kingdom!
As for his relations with Louis, may he rest in peace, he regarded him as his true father rather than his real father, and looked up to him as a role model to follow. As for his cousin, Sophie, he was rather fond of her, and as the years wore on, this fondness grew further. Where his desire for his cousin will lead him, he himself doesn't know.

Name: Sir Andrew Castel
Age: 54
Position in the Royal Government: Admiral of the Fleet
True Intention: Castel's principle motivation is protecting and enriching his business investments, which include merchant ships, mercenary companies, and the galleys that make up much of Tarinia's navy. (As most of them are technically his private property.)
Short Bio: Andrew was born the eldest son of a Derlander baron's majordomo, and spent his childhood with the expectation that he would follow in his father's footsteps. His mother was the daughter of an impoverished minor nobleman, giving him a diluted drop of noble blood. At age sixteen Andrew lost a duel to the son of the baron he served, but severely wounded the boy in the process. Castel fled Derland to avoid punishment and became a soldier of fortune in a mercenary company. Castel spent ten years at sea fighting in various conflicts across Rinin, even participating in the famous Battle of Penkafti, where his left arm was mangled by a cannonball. This period of his life ended when he was captured by a group of pirates, and kept for six years as a slave until he staged a revolt with the other captives. After being freed from captivity, Castel decided to assemble his own mercenary fleet using the ships he had stolen from the pirates, and exponentially increased his wealth in the coming years. Over the course of almost twenty years, Castel gradually became wealthier, until he was no longer just the captain of one company, but an investor with stakes in many. Castel's ships were hired by Louis Treborg in order to secure his control of Tarinia's coasts during the war for the throne. When the war was won, Louis gave Andrew a knighthood and the position of Admiral of the Fleet, in recognition of his service to the crown. He continued to hold that position after Queen Sophia's ascension to the throne.
