Yeah that works, it's a pretty common motivation. There's a lot of leeway too with creating minor to intermediate level houses or even ones working under the most famous ones.

Yes, although Turm didn't app and I already apologized to Seg as I'm actually pretty good with him, despite all the other things. Not sure how Turm's interest level in Young Bloods is however when ya'll like to ignore quality posts from him as you yourself admit.

Anyway, I do admit that it's not a perfect solution. But you know who and what to blame when it comes to this.

    Sacred Ice Healing - Vatnar can heal himself and others with his sacred ice by sealing wounds and stopping the bleeding with his ice. But can not heal all wounds and is limited by how much mana he has at the time.
    Sacred Ice summon - Vatnar can summon a single ice tiger, the tiger is normal sized and can only be around for a few minutes as it drains Vatnar's mana as long it is up.

Personality: Vatnar is a friendly and kind person but, ultimately his loner that likes to be alone. Motivation: To hone his skills and become a great mage




Biography: Vatnar was born to a small mage family in Akureyri, Iceland. His family despite being a small house, they are known for their unusual ice magic. The family keeps a close secret on how to learn sacred ice magic and is related to a relatively unknown ice god that the family worships. Vatnar was the third child in the family and was expected to be involved in the family's affairs. Though he was still taught on the level of what his older siblings were taught. Growing up Vatnar was never interested in the political nature of the houses and found it at times to be a minefield. Definitely, after a dispute, his family had with a Welsh house that was resolved with tensions still hot between the two houses.


When he was eighteen, Vatnar undertook a family trial of being able to summon a being of sacred ice. Each summon is unique for each family member and after a few failed attempts. Vatnar able to summon an ice tiger and was considered a true sacred ice mage to his family. Even though He was thrilled at passing and getting his summon, it felt hollow by that fact of what almost could have happened to him, if he could not summon a being of ice. He remembers what happened to his cousin when he failed, he was silently made an outcast and was he was stuck doing menial work. Vatnar does not know if his parents would have done the same if he had failed and it led to him wanting to get away from his family. Along with seeing the world after spending his life in Iceland. When he was twenty, he was shipped out to Mittlerstadt Academy and hoped to make a name for himself.

Personality: Most would describe Eliza as being oddly positive and friendly regardless of the situation at hand, and few can claim to have ever seen her with a genuine frown. When in the company of others, she tends to dress to be the center of attention and enjoys basking in attention, regardless of whether it's awe or something more carnal. She'll not hesitate to encourage others or provide emotional support, and she is quick to offer carnal ways to cheer someone up.

Motivation: Although she claims to want to see humans and demons prosper together, she holds a certain contempt for other demons after the death of her father. With luck, she'll find the demon that killed her father and make him suffer slowly.




Biography: Eliza's childhood was mostly fraught with happy memories, her mother and father taking good care of her and her father being a renown cop in town. However, she knew they weren't her real parents, as her real father was locked away somewhere and she never even knew her real mother. Regardless, she loved her adopted parents, and they treated her with love and care as they did their previous child. Despite her being a Demon and them - humans, it was never a barrier for them. Her father being a cop, she was often curious about what he did, and he was surprisingly honest with her. He told her that Demons were often criminals, and that many were dangerous, but not all. He wanted her to be better than the usual rabble.

Inspired by her father, Eliza would promise herself to live up to his expectations. As quite the socialite and well liked in school, she did her best to resolve disputes between others, hoping that even though she wasn't law enforcement like her dad, she could make a difference and help others. It wasn't until she was sixteen that this admiration came crashing down. Killed by a demon in an arrest gone wrong, it was only Eliza and her mother left, after which she fell into a disreputable crowd. From then on, Eliza had garnered a bit of a reputation for how promiscuous she was, a fact she chose to live with when she embraced the company of others to fill the hole from her fathers death. As her delinquent behavior grew worse, Eliza found herself being taught a fair bit of magic from some members of the various gangs she hung around. This persisted for a year until she was arrested herself for association with a wanted criminal.

When her mother came to pick her up from the station, the look of shame and disappointment was enough to force Eliza's eyes towards the ground. It was just harmless fun...she had never intended to hurt her mother in this way. The wordless car drive home was horrid, and her mothers cries from her room snapped a cord inside Eliza. She had once sworn to become someone her father would be proud of, and she could still do that. The following week, she applied to become a cop, and with her status as a mage and her adequate academic performance in school, she was offered the opportunity to attend Mittlerstadt Academy. A strange offer she hadn't expected, and she was hesitant to leave her mother alone. Nevertheless, she promised to keep in contact left soon afterwards.

Weaknesses: All familiars summoned by the spirit can be no larger than a human torso. They are vulnerable to any type of harm and can easily be dispelled by a thorough beating or small arms. Only 1 familiar can be active at a time, regardless of if summoned or animated.

Equipment: Leviana possesses a harp that can be used to pre-emptively dispel a familiar when played.

Alright, looking over these powers... You can’t transfer mana batteries through a spell or something like that because they’re a physical part of the body. One that isn’t fully explained yet, but still something purely physical without really having the metaphysical attributes of most things tied to magic. The first power also probably needs a lot of reduction to avoid just being, well, a godmod.

Magic Techniques:

  • Erase: Juno's nullification magic, which is typically channeled through her left hand, is capable of erasing things. This can go for digital information, surface memories, and other things. Something doesn't even have to necessarily be digital for her to erase it. She can, for example, put her hand on a photograph and channel her magic into it to remove the details from faces. This does, however, require contact with the thing that she's erasing.
  • Deadzone: Juno is capable of nullifying magic within a ten meter radius around her body with the cost of requiring a consistent mana drain during this time. Under normal combat circumstances she can keep this drain up for about forty five seconds while continuing to use her other abilities and focusing on combat, while under perfect conditions this time would be closer to a minute and a half. However, Juno can use the ability in a different way and infuse mana into an area all at once, marked out by a circle on the ground. Once infused, this trap can be activated by Juno from wherever she is within a five hundred meter range, rendering all magic within the area nullified for up to one minute without the consistent drain. One disadvantage, of course, is the fact that the pre infused form of the ability is stationary and can be seen by the marks on the ground.
  • Deathforce: Juno's other ability, typically used through her right hand, is able to aggressively attack someone at their core, their lifeforce. This "deathforce" is typically manifested in energy form as some kind of weapon, most of the time a set of claws for closed combat or as multiple throwing knives for further ranges. These attacks do not injure at the physical level but instead the spiritual one, and when someone gains an injury with this ability, it cannot be healed by conventional means and will not show up as a conventional injury. To heal, the person will need help from a magic based healer.

Weaknesses: Despite being a formidable opponent at close ranges, Juno lacks the capability to seriously attack most powerful enemies while relying on her magic. The relatively very short range for her deadzone ability also works against her and makes her easy to avoid despite the risk of facing her up close, and the ability can also not be targeted to only focus on enemies. Which means she has to fight alone some of the time to avoid her own allies being disrupted by her ability. Additionally, her deathforce ability lacks a long ranged option and forces her to get involved in a close fight to use it properly... Something which many other mages have more tools to win.

Equipment: Depending on the specific day in the field, Juno compensates through a number of conventional means and typically uses a 1911 pistol and an OSV-96 sniper rifle for these purposes.

Personality: Ambitious, hard working, and industrious are all words that could be used to describe Juno Kunze. She's generally self sufficient - which was a need early on because of her background and the fact that neither family wanted to be associated with her - and tends to put a high value on hard work and dedication, praising those who embody those traits and looking down on those who slack on them. That's because she's worked to get where she is, despite what her family names might suggest. While she has a kind side, ambition is perhaps Juno's main trait and she isn't afraid to stand in the path of others if it means getting to the top herself and with her friends. Many have described her personality and mentality to be like that of an entrepreneur or possibly a General.

Motivation: In her words, to become the greatest mage to ever do it.




Biography: Rolls Royces and Lamborghinis, Maseratis and Bugattis, magical relics and castles on hills... These were the things that Juno Kunze should have been born into, coming from not one but two of the great houses. Specifically, House Riley and House Schwer. Maybe if she had been born into that life, she would already be well on her way to the goal of becoming the greatest of all time. Juno, after all, has never failed for lack of trying. But the fact of the matter is that earlier on, she just never had the shot. Because while she was born into two great houses, she was practically exiled at birth because of the fact that her parents weren't married and that her existence was an accident. The daughter of Ember Riley and Johannes Schwer, the sister and brother of the heirs of their current houses, Juno never ended up living the high life like the others in the families that she came from. Instead, she was handed off to a regular woman in Schwer Landing, Adriana Kunze. Someone who wasn't even magic capable.

In fact, her stepmother was a cleaning lady in the service of the great house, and not even connected to them outside of that. She wasn't some great warrior that had fought for them, not some brilliant mind that had discovered magical knowledge for their archives, but a regular civilian who was somewhat removed from the mage life and was only in Schwer Landing for a job. Still, she took care of the young Juno well enough and they lived around some of the best mages in the world even if they weren't involved directly in what those mages did. Juno knew about her ancestry from the start. Started to resent the ones that had what should belong to her, too, and rejected her just because she hadn't been born when her parents were married and because her existence made the houses look bad. Still, while she considered it, she didn't run away from that life.

No, she stayed around it and she worked on her magic. She was around mages whenever she could manage and she received as many informal lessons as she could get, eventually managing to catch the eye of Hanne Danzig, one of the combat mages in the service of the Schwer family, and one who was quite high up, too. Danzig would be the one to instruct Juno in her unique style of magic, however, it would come at a high price. Danzig was released from the service of the family for instructing Juno, who studied under her from the time she was thirteen to the time she was seventeen, working as a lab assistant in Schwer's Landing at the same time to help her stepmother afford living in the expensive village.

It was when she was seventeen that she managed to catch the eye of her family, finally, too. Her blood family. At one of their public events held in the village, she shocked everyone by asking to fight Melani Schwer, the current head of the family, by herself, convinced that without spirits she would be able to win through her nullification tricks. The stakes? If she won, she would be accepted back into the family. If she lost, she would leave Schwer's Landing just like her mentor had done only months prior. The fight was accepted, with the Schwers trying their hardest to get their rogue member away from their capital. Juno came into the battle fully expecting victory but... That wasn't the outcome. Her nullification magic hardly did much against a great house head. She was incapacitated within the first two minutes of the battle, and despite swearing to get a better result in the future, she left her hometown with the possibility of never returning.

When she was eighteen, Juno stayed in England with Danzig, who was now searching for new work and courting a possible contract with the Rayden family. It was at this time that she finally used the crystals that she had saved up over time to conduct the summoning ritual and finally gain a spirit that would hopefully stay and help her towards her goals... What she ended up getting, however, wasn't what she expected. She gained an ally and not just that, but a strong one who believed in her ability as a leader. And the strength of that ally, as well as Danzig's recommendation, helped her get into an organization she never thought she would end up associated with: the Mage's Guild.

Personality: The more subdued and to an extent wiser member of the pairing between him and Juno Kunze, Arios is very much independent for a spirit and could be considered in some ways to be just as ambitious as his master. However, they tend not to clash much over that because the two could also be said to be on the same wavelength. Their plans tend to complement each other and they tend to act as a foil to the other. Where Juno is more aggressive and ready to act quickly, Arios is a bit more calculating and able to look at things objectively. Arios believes in greater things than just being a fighter for someone - mainly in establishing his own base of power and his own legacy.

His personality tends to align with that, and Arios typically acts like something of a leader when around others outside of Juno. He does, however, obey Juno's orders in part out of seeing her as somebody very special. Someone who, if she achieves her own goals, will indirectly boost everyone around her. You could also make the argument that Arios' ambition has made him selfish, to an extent. He tends to look out for himself and Juno first. It's not that he's against helping. It's just that most of the time Arios goes out of his way to help some other cause, it's because it comes back around in some other way to benefit the cause of himself and Juno.

Magic Techniques:

  • Crystal Generation: Arios can generate crystals on will and move them telepathically, expending more mana depending on the size of the crystal. Obviously making larger things like shields and barricades would drain mana quickly while just making small projectiles would make it last longer. The more important part of this ability, however, is that Arios is able to infuse these crystal objects with mana quicker than someone without this type of magic would be able to do. This offers an edge when using tactics based around storing mana and expending it through objects. However, much of the time Arios does not use the ability in advance and instead rapidly infuses mana within crystals in the middle of battle to either offer certain effects as an enchantment, which would offer a bonus of 50% towards what the enchantment is for, or to create a more dangerous projectile through infusing something with mana and causing it to explode when close to the enemy.
  • Skin of Iron: Due to use of physical enhancement magic over time, Arios has been able to strengthen his body to be a bit more durable and deal a bit more damage than most humans. While not on the level of demons or vampires, Arios can still bend a steal beam by hitting it with a punch or kick and such moves can be performed without causing too much in the way of injury. This isn't to say that Arios has an immunity ability, but his durability is definitely higher than the typical human's. While bullets would still injure him, lower caliber ones also aren't going to take him down completely in one or two shots like a regular human or spirits who lack stronger physiology. Arios can increase this strength through relying on the active rather than passive ability but this presents a mana drain.
  • Razor Edge: Arios is also able to use his first ability to reinforce an existing weapon such as a sword with a sharper edge made of crystal, which can increase the penetration power of the weapon, make it more effective attacking and defending against a certain type of magic, or both. This is a lower mana cost alternative to making a specific weapon fro scratch for that same purpose, although it's not as effective.
  • Enchanting Skill: In addition to the natural ability to enchant crystals, Arios knows a thing or two about enchantment in general and can enchant things for up to a 50% bonus.

Weaknesses: While Arios can generate crystals out of nothing and infuse them with mana, these can be countered easier with magical attacks than they can be through conventional means. While the crystals may be hard enough to break most conventional forms of armor and also defend against many conventional attacks including bullets, against magic their strength level falls a bit until it's only about above average compared to regular traditional armor or weaponry made from metal. Because generating crystals also consumes mana, there's often a choice to be made between using larger constructs such as shields, barriers, and armor, or using a larger number of smaller ones such as projectiles, daggers, and the like. Using both in one battle doesn't tend to happen.

Physical enhancement magic, while it does make Arios stronger, has the weakness of requiring more energy. Even Arios' passive physical enhancement drains energy quicker when being exerted and the same goes to a larger extent for the active version of the ability, which is stronger but drains both mana and physical energy. This means when getting into a one versus one fight, it's generally a good idea for Arios to finish the opponent quickly and not end up in a protracted battle.

Equipment: Arios mainly carries two weapons. The first of them is a longsword of approximately five feet long, with a blade made form hardened and tempered crystal. This sword is enchanted to be 50% stronger than its natural strength, which applies both when it comes to attacking and to defending. When this weapon is not in use, Arios tends to use a crystal longbow which has one advantage over a more advanced weapon such as a gun: the ammunition of this weapon, crystal arrows, can be created and enchanted on the fly to be adapted to different opponents very quickly, something that a gun can't quite do. However, Arios does keep an FN pistol in the event that one is needed, to be safe. Arios has light crystal armor in reserve but tends to forego this in battle to gain a bonus in mobility instead of durability.

Magic Techniques: Nev’s Specialty allows him to create a pair of magic fields that can redirect any projectile that comes into contact with him, with the exception of anti-magic projectiles or spells. He uses this in conjunction with a special set of glasses that allows him to slow down his perception of time, allowing him to react insanely fast to oncoming threats.

Weaknesses: His redirectional fields take up mana to use that's proportional to the projectile he’s redirecting, which means he can only redirect so much before he runs out of available mana, and larger projectiles take a larger amount of mana out of what he can use. While Nev’s glasses can let him redirect much more than he would normally, his reactions are only at a human level and can’t react to everything. His fields cannot affect melee attacks, so anyone who can close the distance is a major threat to him. To use his fields Nev has to have a free hand to deploy one, which could hinder him.

Equipment: Chronoeye Glasses: A pair of transformable eyeglasses that have been enchanted with a spell that slows down the perception of time for whoever wears it, given to Nev by his spirit to aid her. The glasses take up a gradually increasing amount of mana the longer the effect is used, but in return slows time to a fraction of what it would normally be.

Personality: Nev is rather friendly to those around him, offering to help where he can and always wanting to make a positive impact. That said, he dislikes those who love to ride on their high horse or go out of their way to be an asshole. Having been enlisted for four years, Nev does have a level of seriousness around him when in a tight situation. After being seduced by the voice of his spirit, Nev will almost always listen to what she has to say and takes her advice, but will sometimes go against it if he has something else in mind.
Motivation: Get money to be able to support himself and become somebody important.




Biography: Born in the calm and rather small community of Nowhere, Nev’s family was more than his biological parents, but a tight-knit group of the residents of Nowhere, as his community always wanted to help one another, making it less of a community and more of a big family. As such, Nev was taught by his parents and neighbors, who were able to give him a decent education. All throughout his childhood however, he felt a need to serve his country in the armed forces.

When he was 16, after much begging and pleading, Nev convinced his parents to let him enlist early into the Navy, and he was soon shipped off to Fort Sill for basic training. The change of pace from the calm life he had to the hustle and bustle of basic training certainly hit hard, and he was struggling to make through most of it, but he was able to keep up with his peers most of the time. After graduating from basic training Nev was deployed into his four years of active duty on the USS Abraham Lincoln, which during 2019 was sent to Iran to send a message about the conflicts in the area. After his four years Nev shipped back home, where his magical abilities were awakened.

Having learned of his magic power, Nev began to research, and after a while got the idea to summon a spirit and go learn to be a professional mage. By the time he was 22 he thought that he was finally good enough to summon one for himself, and gave it a try. His first time did not work, or so he thought. Just as when he was going to try again a spirit appeared before him. However, the spirit wasn’t trying to strike a deal, but rather maim the budding mage simply for the hell of it. A fight ensued, but the strength of the spirit won out and quickly defeated him. In a sick imitation of darts the spirit flung a kitchen knife that it had found, causing Nev to stretch his arm instinctively and deflect the knife right back, cutting the face of the spirit. Safe to say, the spirit was rather impressed by his power and wanted it to itself, so using honey words and a magic spell, she had a sense of control over him, and the two struck a deal, with Nev now going to the Academy...

Personality: Jenishali is a sadist at heart and is one of if not most manipulative spirits of the group, a trait that is belied by the disguise she normally puts on, which is a fun loving and outgoing person until she has you alone. In the heat of battle however, she reveals her true colors as a malicious and dark spirit who is willing to use anyone to get a kick out of something.

Magic Techniques:Jenishali has the ability to transform her appearance or Nev’s appearance at will, making them appear to what best appeals to a person. This, combined with her ability to enchant voices to give them a mild hypnotic effect, is what allowed her to reel Nev in like she did. When close enough, she can then morph her body into a killing machine, ripping apart her prey with ease.

Weaknesses:Jeni’s morphing power tires her out very quickly, so she has to take a period of rest in between changes. Her vocal power can be resisted if the victim has strong willpower.
