Shinji is often seen around the island either around the way collecting curios that interest him, at school or sometimes even at the pub (he drinks sometimes because even though he’s around sixteen in human years, his excuse is “I’m ninety years old so technically I can drink.” He spends more time in his human shape than his true draconic one, which allows him greater access and freedom of movement around the island and from first glance he looks like any other dark-skinned young boy, but his yellow dragon eyes and cloud of midnight blue hair (same color as his blue-black scales) make him stand out even among the population. When at home, a simple but sturdy house near the base of a mountain, he’s often under the watchful eye of his strict but loving father. He’s the only son of Lord Firethroat, an ancient and powerful dragon that resides over a vast domain (Firethroat makes his lair inside the base of the mountain they live near when he wants to be in his true form, as he prefers his dragon shape to his human one and is far more reclusive than his son).
They don’t disclose much about where they come from, but they do say that it’s hot and that dragons and humans co-exist there. After some stressful events that happened inside the family, it was suggested by the draconic council that the lord and his son take some time off for health reasons (mostly Firethroat because he was not handling this stressful situation well, Shinji just decided to go with him) and have been staying on this island for a while until they decide to return home again, the duo have been torn on that. Shinji misses home but likes this island as it’s perfect for the curious and outgoing young drake to meet all sorts of new friends and discover new things (Dad thinks he’s using this as an excuse to fuck human girls), while Firethroat wishes to return home as he has lands to look after and to be honest it feels cramped to him.

Mariana Strange
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Place of Origin: Tokyo, Japan (though it's not clear if that's where she was born)
Personality: Mariana can be somewhat abrasive. She usually doesn't go out of her way to tick people off, but she doesn't try very hard not too, either. She tells people to 'cool it' a lot. She does want to be a force for good, however, and will do what she can to protect those she cares about or deems innocent.
Backstory: Coming very soon

Adam Boone is a 22-year-old jack of all trades, but a master of two: he can dig, and he can build. He's not particularly strong or agile, at least outside what live in the wilderness demands. He goes into the unpopulated areas of the island with his trusty shovel, his survival knife, and his well-oiled firearm and builds new canals, structures, and other items that can ensure that nature knew that man was king. He lives alone near the back of the island for now, but he built himself a large, multi-room cabin, practically an estate, with enough room for himself, a spouse, and perhaps a kid or two. He owns a large plot of land and makes a living selling craftwork, lumber, and spoils from hunting. He doesn't talk to people much, but he reads and writes on a daily basis.

Patricia Pitchsworth
Patricia, or to confidants Patty, has lived on this island for as long as its oldest vampiric inhabitants can remember. She's only recognizably centuries old due to her archaic-looking garb, high fashion of the late18th Century. Her dialect is refined, and her mannerisms are graceful. She recalls anecdotes about the American revolution.
Patricia Pitchsworth has this island in her bones, and such is particularly true of the Mansion. She knows the nooks and crannies of the house like she built it herself, but she isn't much for words. She is generally disinterested in really conversing with anyone other than those she makes acquaintance with, but she will talk to anyone.
She has a large library of tattered novels of the period, including a burgeoning collection of Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and the like. They all appear to be first or second printings.
Patricia can be found in this library as well as in the attics, where she keeps other books and bides time while not reading.
Powers: none that a vampire in this canon wouldn't have except for an excellent memory of historical events, particularly surrounding the island. She's somewhat frail.
I'm guessing this will be rejected for some reason.

Just out of curiosity, do the other people on the island know she's a vampire? My character's kept that fact a secret to avoid any trouble from the townsfolk.

• Name: Naiara Gorka
• Age: 15 Years Old
• Gender: Female
• Height: 170cm
• Description: Half-Asian and Half-Caucasian female with black hair and brown hazel eyes. Her skin tone and facial structure is closer to that of a mongoloid, while her body, voice, and fingerprints are closer to a caucasoid. She is lean and skinny, coupled with a below medium chest size.
• Background:Born to a Japanese mother and a Basque father, Naiara was a bittersweet miracle from the near start. Long ago in the mid 1950s, her father had illegally immigrated from Spain, escaping prosecution for speaking and supporting the Basque language (which was prohibited and oppressed by the Francisco Franco regime). On the other hand, her mother was already a native to the island as a cook; however, there was just one problem with that.
Her mother didn’t have much family left other than grandparents, and prior to 1960, she remained single. All that changed, however, when Naiara’s father sought refuge on the island, assuming a new name and personality to escape Francoist-Spaniard authorities. Starting life all over again in a foreign country, Naiara’s father went back to being a fisher, where about a year later in 1959, he would meet his future wife (whom would become Naiara’s mother).
So when Naiara came along in 1961 as a baby, neither mom or dad would think that life would take the worse for themselves. The newly-wed Gorka couple soon found themselves with misfortune, with the first being the death of her mother several months after Naiara was born. This left her father as Naiara’s only parent, and if that responsibility wasn’t enough, Gorka himself had to face the language barrier - his Japanese was logical yet Tarzan-like compared to his wife (Naiara’s mother).
But luckily, Naiara was a quick learner, actually being able to learn Japanese just fine compared to her father. In fact, Naiara learned so well that she could actually speak Basque, which was her father’s native tongue. Like her father, Naiara was laidback, but she was also a bit of a rebel, slightly more-so than her father by comparison.
To name some examples to such radical changes, she spoke with a thick accent in both Japanese and Basque. This seemed quite innocent and ordinary if not for the fact that she used extensive and rigid agglutination. In addition, she almost always dropped pronouns in Japanese, which was fine considering that Japanese is a pro-drop language; however, Naiara omitted the subject so much that it was seldom seen to find her speaking in a formal and sophisticated manner.
While a fast learner, boredom came quick for Naiara, and she soon found herself participating in the cultural clubs, specifically English and literature. Despite her distinctively thick accent and informality, Naiara was a gifted polygot; however, tragedy would strike again for the family. Three months before Naiara was to start senior high school, her father succumbed to liver failure, leaving Naiara in an eerily familiar predicament - she was single and alone like her deceased mother.
