Manila, South East Asian Region, Republican-CUC Joint Rally, Guðni Jóhannesson Campaign Stop #13
(OOC: Post done in coordination with Hastiaka)
Guðni had received word of the CUC’s offer for coalition, and graciously accepted. The two parties shared the same socially conservative ideologies, so Guðni was willing to join forces with the CUC. He campaigned in Manila, one of the CUC’s core cities, where CUC representatives were present at the rally.
“People of Manila, it is my pleasure to announce that the Republican party and the Christian Unity Caucus will be forming a coalition following the election. Our two parties have the same goals and motivations, we both seek to preserve the concept of religion and faith within not just christianity, but every religion out there. We must strive to preserve the beauty of religion and culture in the world. Without religion, a society becomes nihilistic. Without religion, a society will become void of morals. It is what gives us hope, and the radical Southpaws efforts to eradicate religion are truly horrifying. We will make sure people keep their faith.
With that being said, there will be zero, and I repeat, ZERO tolerance for religious supremacy or radical terrorism. Neither the Republican party nor the CUC advocate the superiority of any one religion over the other. All religions of the world, from Christianity to Hinduism to Islam will be in safe hands. All creeds, religions, and ethnic groups will be encouraged even, to promote their beautiful cultural identities. Tolerance is the key to keeping the United Earth together, not eradication of culture, but tolerance.
We have received the news of the perpetrator of the Shanghai terrorist attack, I will not say his name, ever. All I can say to we will not rest until every single terrorist on the United Earth is brought to justice. I will personally oversee the creation of a specific division of the military solely dedicated to anti-terrorism. They will be deployed and bring down all the terrorist cells. The death penalty is important for these people to be brought to justice. If they are not killed in the most painful possible ways, it will only encourage others to do the same. We will not stand calmly as innocent civilians die at the hands of humanity’s worst.”
