Well for one we only need our three parties to form a majority in Parliament.

And becuase there's a big difference between a Democratic Socialist party and a party that has repeatedly advocated for a "revolution" and the death of capitalism.

But isn't democratic socialism inherently anti-capitalist? If you've read any anarcho-syndicalist doctrine, apart from some rowdy protests, we stick to the democratic system and only stage the revolution once we have a mandate from the people, in this case win the election. Is that not satisfactory for you?

I'll give you some examples of democratic socialist regimes:
-Salvador Allende's Chile
-Tito's Yugoslavia

Well, actually, those are the only two examples. But point is, democratic socialism is opposition to capitalism. The only difference between us and the Southpaws is in rhetoric and in terms of the political running of the state, along with the method of central planning. It's like the difference between a neoliberal and a neoconservative. Economically the same apart from a few small things.

Are you and New Cobasthesia American? I just want to clarify before I go on an angry rant about Luxemburg, the history of social democracy, Socialist Yugoslavia and about how politically illiterate you are.

If you're Democratic Socialist, you don't have to be anti-capitalist, you can, but you don't have to. I mean, I don't wanna stop someone from following their dream and opening their Taco shop, Let's Taco About It!!!
But I think that most industries should be nationalized and a ton of regulations to protect the people and the environment!!!

Ahh yes, because when the government or major corporations do it, it’s fine! I know this is a shocker to all you utopian types, but sometimes you need to use violence to reduce the amount of violence. I asked you a question and I want you to answer it: What would you do under a fascist regime? Just sit there or fight?

Random question: Does Frederij recognize Kommenous as the legitimate president?

Tell me, comrade, have you ever heard of market socialism? It means you can open your own taco shop, but you can't enslave people. All the benefits of socialism with all the benefits of capitalism. Sure, there's still some level of inequality and the economy isn't as fast and loose as it is in capitalism, but it's the real middle path. Democratic market socialism, eh? I don't personally agree with nationalisation. We should run businesses as cooperatives led by trade unions and institute democracy wherever we can.

Yeah under a fascist regime I would fight and I would if there was any area where violence needs to be called but that is the issue were you decide on using violence is very different to mine. I am not the type of person that would call for violence against people if there were other ways to achieve a better resolution.

Also question to you would you fight against a regime that believes in murdering millions of people in order to achieve your economic view?

Hm. 10 days old, 26 pages already, and an interesting concept. I might join this. However, before I start to make a final decision can someone catch me up on what's happened so far? As in any OOC plans, IC events so far, where we are in the roleplay, yada yada, all that stuff.

If said deaths are lower than the amount of deaths caused by the opposing system to remain in place, then yes. The Black Book of Capitalism says that "More than 100 million people were killed from conflicts caused by capitalism alone in the 20th century, excluding ones in which the involvement of capitalism was contentious, such as both World Wars."

The first election happened, a coalition government is ruling (Coalition of left leaning centrist party, environmentalist party, and hard left party), leader of the opposition is my character, and I assume parliament will call regional elections pretty soon

The DemSocs and AnSynds (Me and the Southpaws) have merged to form a party, about to be announced, coalition talks have broken down, and there's been an election. That's literally it so far. Also, looking at your views, I suggest forming a new party. I'd say join the Republicans, but honestly, the Republicans here are led by some Icelandic man who doesn't understand the difference between tax and debt interest, so you know...

What do you mean the Southpaws are forming a party with you. If you look at the IC they have joined my Coalition.

Why would Southpaws form a party with you when already in a coalition? And even still, the Deltaists-Greens will have a minority government nevertheless

Yeah however we agreed to form a coalition before the WILR and southpaws merged so someone is breaking the IC.
