All right, I'm updating in the IC. I will embellish in the OP, but here's how my the last dice RP I was in worked:
Every dice roll you want me to make will be followed by "Action:" in bold. You don't need to worry about insignificant stuff or dialogue, but stuff that will change or progress the story should have this format. Examples:
Action: Abigail tries to move through the town square unnoticed.
Action: Roshanak attempts to
seduce become friends with the guard to obtain secrets.
Action: Marcella covers her ears to avoid hearing blasphemy.
Action: Peter attempts to lop off the soldier's ear.
In response, I will roll a die. For stats (dice rolls en masse), I used
this site. The site I'll use for individual dice rolls is
this. I either add or subtract the roll to your most relevant stat. The range in which the roll falls determines how the story plays out. Depending on the difficulty of the attempted task, the required sum might range from 10 to 40. Examples:
Response: Roll: (I had Abigail's stats, but apparently they were deleted. Will remedy soon).
Response: Roll: 17 (added to Roshanak's 10 Joy). The guard has a pet bird at home, so they find commonalities in wing trimming and grooming.
Response: Roll: 13 (compared to Marcella's 7 Peace). The blasphemy is too loud, and Marcella is forced to entertain a differing viewpoint.
Response: Roll: 9 (compared to Peter's 1 Self-Control). The soldier is easily able to parry Peter's attack but is unable to capitalize.
For this first update only (hopefully), I am going to make Bridget lose, if only so she has an excuse to join the party.
