Earth, a peaceful world filled with vibrant animal life and home to warriors across the world. No matter your hometown or your profession there is one event which holds the attention of viewers across the world. The Tenkaichi Budokai, a tournament where the strongest fighters from across the world gather to test their skills and compete for fame, wealth or simply to test their abilities. However, unknown to the Earthling populace, Earth has recently gained another kind of attention. Many years ago, five alien space pods landed in various locations all across Earth. And those alien beings have been living among us. And their presence has finally been discovered by Princess Aspara of the Saiyan Race. The last surviving nobility of Saiyans who now serve Hail, overlord of the Planet Trade Organization. Aspara, seeking to reunite the scattered fragments of her species under her rule has sent Elery, a young but ruthless Saiyan Warrior to reclaim these wayward Saiyans. Now, with the eyes of the world on the Tenkaichi Budokai and the eyes of the Saiyans on Earth how will our heroes fare against the mightiest warriors the universe has ever known? Welcome...TO DRAGON BALL SAGAS!
Rules
1: I am the OP and Finland SSR is my Co-OP. I won't make too many restrictions or flex OP muscles too much as long as everyone gets along and follows the rules established. I am rather lax in my OP style. But if a decision is made, please abide by it.
2: There will be a limit on Saiyan Applications at 5 accepted and active Saiyans. If a player leaves who had a Saiyan his or her spot will be open to a new Saiyan. This limit does not include NPC Saiyans for story purposes of course.
3: If you are going to be held up from posting for any extended period of time please notify us. I do not mind players taking breaks due to real life. But we need to know about it. If you have not posted anything in a week and have not notified us of any cause we will assume you have dropped the RP.
4: We will be using an original cast of characters for both PCs and NPCs to tell the story here and events will not be exactly like the series although may follow a similar Saga pattern and direction. For example we will have a Saiyan, Namek and Android Saga and possibly even into Super but the events, order of which may be different and possibly even have more Arcs in between.

Player Character Race Guidelines
My aim is to allow as much freedom as possible for players creating a character to be able to pick a race of their choosing. And I won't ever reject an app simply for choosing a race which may not fit with the current Saga we are on. Say if someone decides to app a Majin while we are starting what is basically a Saiyan Saga. That being said there are some guidelines which are necessary to keep in mind for a balanced RP to be had.
1: As stated above, there is a quota on Saiyans. Mostly due to lore reasons of being a endangered race. As of the time of this writing there are two Saiyan positions open.
2: Earthlings, as the dominant race on Earth are always available and have no caps to how many we accept. Also, To ensure that players writing Earthlings are not all made irrelevant we are going to be going by a Xenoverse logic for the race. That with training, they can keep getting stronger. They do however lack transformations by default. However Techniques can certainly be learned to give the race a boost.
3: Namekians are also available and have no real restrictions for lore or anything. You can easily app a Namekian raised on Earth or Namek, whichever you prefer.
4: Androids, Majins and members of the Frieza Race are all also available however a small guideline to consider is power scaling. This will be less of an issue for players joining once the IC progresses but at the start most of the main cast will be fairly weak. In the series characters from these races were immensely powerful by comparison upon introduction. So basically the rule of thumb here is that if you app a Android in what is essentially our Saiyan Saga, the android should not be drastically more powerful than the main cast. Also, if apping a Majin or Frieza Race character very early on in the story some planning may be needed to work out how a Majin appeared well before this universe version of Babidi shows up. These however can all be worked around and should not prevent you from creating a character should you desire one, and these 'restrictions' will lessen as the IC progresses.

Bio: Born in a small forming village Mei Lin's father was once a renowned martial artist who dreamed of winning the Tenkaichi Budokai. However an injury during the semi finals cost him not only the Tournament, but his career as a martial artist as well. Settling down in a farming village forced to retire from a life of fighting he married and had a daughter who grew up hearing all the stories of how strong her father once was. The people of the village respected him greatly, but he never basked in the compliments or praise. Rather he stuck to his work and forbid his daughter of learning martial arts, for fear that she could suffer similar injuries as he. She payed little heed to her father's protests however and when she met a wondering monk who offered to teach her to fight she readily accepted. She learned his fighting style in secret and practiced whenever she was not working the fields with her father. She set her own sights on the Tenkaichi Budokai, hoping to win it in her father's place and achieve his old dream for him.
One night however he had caught her training and demanded to know why she had disobeyed him when she returned home. She explained herself and that her own goal was to become stronger herself and to compete in the Tenkaichi Budokai as he did. However he told her that martial arts was a fool's dream and that nothing good would come of fighting. Not long after she found a old staff in her father's belongings and began to practice with it. She worked with the red bo staff until it suddenly extended a great distance to her surprise and once more her father not pleased at all that she went through his old belongings reclaimed it from her. Later that night however he told her about both it and a magical cloud he used to be able to ride allowing him to fly. Her interest about such mystical items was obvious and finally her father offered her a bargain. That if she was so set on fighting despite his wishes, then he would permit her to enter the tournament. And if she should win and prove him wrong then he would allow her to have the Power Pole and the Nimbus and permit her to leave the farm and pursue her own dreams.
Excited by this prospect and as the day of the Tournament drew nearer Mei Lin eagerly practiced her techniques. Training day in and day ut under her master's techniques finally allowed to do so without the burden of farm work slowing her training down. She had a full year year to do nothing but practice and she filled her days with exorcise, meditation and training. Finally on the day before the Tenkaichi Budokai she set off and entered early the next day. She advanced quickly through the preliminary elimination rounds and finally qualified for the main tournament. Having managed to not get eliminated from the main event and surviving the qualifiers. Now, only a handful of the strongest warriors around remains and each of them with goals and ambition of their own. So, now she anxiously awaits for her next bout all the while an unknown enemy speeds towards the planet destined to forever alter her own fate as well as the fates of every fighter gathered around her.
