2:00PM, Friday Afternoon

The sun shone brightly on that friday afternoon, its radiant light reflecting off of the pure blue waters of the Atlantic, gleaming brightly as the clear day brought with it nearly no clouds to speak of. The sounds and smells of the sea came from all directions as Yalta All Girls' College made its way through this body of water, leaving massive and grandiose wakes behind as the various powerful turbine engines drove it forwards, this marvel of engineering prowess thought impossible mere decades before without advances in energy technologies. But not only that, around it one could find that various other vessels of strikingly impressive caliber surrounded it, as this massive fleet of gigantic floating cities totaled in at around 30 school ships in total, with hundreds of quicker supply ships heading to various vessels on the daily. Many were massive, and many were small in comparison to one another, but there is one thing that they all indisputably shared with one another, no matter their cultural leanings-- excluding the fact that the U.S Government sponsored this absolutely massive fleet group.

It was the vexing sun's heat, beating down on everyone aboard these mighty vessels. While many remained inside, the unfortunate men and women who would wander about found themselves facing humid and high temperatures, unpleasant to even those used to Carribean or South American environments. It was on this day however that something was planned for Yalta, which to be fair was quite unfortunate that it had been, since everyone would have had to stand outside. Nonetheless, this day marked the rebirth of Yaltas Tankery team, an exciting announcement which had rocked the whole school to its core! However, the old hangars in which the tanks used to reside were now but mere shadows of their former selves, as some overgrowth had made its way over some of the smaller facilities, including (regrettably) the bathrooms. Surprisingly enough it still stood completely firm however, with no structural damages. Community service had tried cleaning up the former training areas, but they still hadn't gotten to the hangars themselves for now they sat in this state, where nature seemed to battle with man. Things around this formerly lonely and abandoned place were about to get far more active, however-- as once more students would be present on its hallowed grounds.

Student Council

"Impressive, ain't it?"

The various members of the student council found themselves face to face with these massive hangars, staring up at them and how grand they still were, despite years of solitude and loneliness. The figure up front, Kyeong-Kyang, had her hands on her hips, smiling up at it with an adventurous gaze. For so long had she forgotten this building, neglected it, and never done anything with it. It used to be a well-funded endeavor, with dozens of tanks doing live-fire exercises each day and cooperating with the high school Tankery classes, but now perhaps these same grounds could be used for something greater, for a bigger and brighter future for this otherwise relatively plain and boring school. After all, they had to start somewhere, right?

"Now that could hold one hell of a V16! How many liters, do ya' think, Mi-suk?"

"Uh... That isn't a bonnet, Yeong. Besides, shouldn't we use it to store the tanks we'll have to aquire?"

"Ah shit, you're right... Well hey, a girl can dream, can't she?"

As the two talking to eachother would giggle lightly to themselves and banter on about how much power such an engine would output, and what'd it even do given a list of ridiculous-sounding vehicles. Kyeong-Kyang in the meantime would smile to herself, before turning to Gyeong-Suk as she stared intently about the building, eyes narrowed and looking for any potential things of note. She didn't even notice Kyeong-Kyang asking her, "Yo, Lili, what do you think? Quite a building, eh?" as she continued staring it up and down. Eventually, it got to the point where the silence between the two was almost awkward, as the blonde girl then shook this tunnelvisioned Korean, whom would blink wildly as she was snapped back to attention.

"Lili!"

"H-H-Huh? Oh. Yo, Kyeong-Kyang. What'cha need, girl?"

"What do ya' think of the place? Pretty cool, right?"

The girl would blink momentarily, taking a few seconds before nodding once firmly with a smile.

"Yeah. It's pretty cool, though we might want ta' call up community service and have them clear this place out, later."

The Student Council President then found herself rubbing the back of her head, grinning and looking to the side.

"Heh... I suppose you're right. After I get the other girls going, I guess we'll call 'em over. Say, shouldn't it be about time for them to all show up? We gave them all directions on the bulletin, right?"

The various assorted girls would all then momentarily stop their shenanigans, all of them looking curious, aside from Kyeong-Kyang herself whom had asked the question. They all looked about one another, sometimes looking down at their phones and checking the time. 2:03. The bulletin said for them all to be there by 2:20, so they all had assumed more people would have shown up by now. "Yeah, where are they...?" asked Yeong. "For one hell of an announcement we put out there, they might not even show up." stated Gyeong-Suk. Right after that, a frightened-looking Mi-Suk would pipe up, yelling out, "That'd be awful! We secured so many time slots and so much funding for this, who knows what'll happen if this fails?!" With all this, the blonde student council president would clear her throat loudly, as everyone would look to her. Smiling before opening her eyes, she'd look amongst all them.

"Guys, don't worry. They're probably finishing up classes, now. Who knows? Maybe some of 'em will start appearing right now!"

"...Right now?"

"Precisely, Mi-suk! Right... now! No? Now! Right... Now!"

Alice looked up at massive hangar in the distance and then back down at her phone to make sure she had to read the directions correctly. "Ummm, I regret to inform everyone, but according to these directions. This is where we're supposed to meet the student council." Alice said softly to her friends. "Christ, Alice you sound like one of those wankers that announces the train delays and yes we know the instructions are correct. You showed them to us! But the point here is! That cracked out, dilapidated hanger looks like the factory where all the paedo vans are built!" Gloria snapped, not particularly amused by the whole situation. "Oh, come on Gloria, it's not that bad. I mean you said the same thing about that trip back to Liverpool and that went alright."
Gloria huffed and rolled her eyes at Alice. "No, I believe I said something about them all being dustbin scranners." Sara and Emeria watch as the two went back and forth for a couple of minutes.
Sara sighed softly as she couldn't help but stare at the depressing state of the hanger. "Unfortunately, I have to agree with Gloria. I believe taking a trip to London would be safer. At least there we would know what to expect. Crime, crime and more crime," Sara spoke softly, drawling out her words as she spoke. "Well, there must be someone we can ask around here for better directions; imagine the kind of impression we will make if we are late."
"Oh for feck sake, you lot! I'm sure we can handle whatever's in there. Anyway why on earth would the student council deliberately mislead us?" Emeria said loudly before she walking towards the large hangar they were facing. Gloria frowned as she watched Emeria walk off. "Oi, cunt; you're supposed to scream 'For Scotland!' before you run into battle!" Gloria said still frowning. Emeria looked back as Gloria and gave her a glare. Before carrying on. Alice took one more look at her phone. Before quickly walking to catch up with Emeria and then headed toward the hanger. Alice looked back to still see Gloria and Sara still standing there."Come on Lads, over the top!" Alice yelled back to Gloria and Sara. Gloria and Sara look at each other with skepticism about the situation before sprinting towards their comrades. It didn't take long after that for group to reach hanger and saw the student council standing there. "Good afternoon." Alice said politely as her and her group approached.

Regria wrote:"No? Now! Right... Now!"

Turns out not everyone interested in the program was so... predictable, as Sara and company camped out at their usual spot outside of their shared dorm block, right by the dumpsters. Sara sat on her usual perch atop the kitchen's personal dumpster. Ciri meanwhile absentmindedly stroked the keys of her keyboard, working on some meaningless homework activity, and Julie sat across from Sara, leaning herself against the wall of their little hideout.

"And-and, oh! You should've seen the guy's face when I told him I was a student," Sara held back her laughter for a moment so she could finish her anecdote, Julie boiling over with anticipation, "He got out of there, like, so fast! 'Woh-uh, I've gotta go!'" She impersonated her pervert, before the two burst out laughing, while Ciri simply rap-tap-tapped away at her laptop. Julie gave Sara a slap on the shoulder.

"Hey, that's my girl!" She showed Sara a rather overacted thumbs up, and the two shared a rather gaudy laugh, before Ciri simply and abruptly cut their shenanigans off, checking the clock on her computer.

"Y-yo, remember that tankery thing you were so excited about, Sara? Uh..." Ciri looked up from her computer, on her face a look of paranoia and dread.

"Yeah, where we can use our pride and joy! What about it, 'd they cancel it or something?" Sara locked eyes with Ciri, in an attempt to get her to calm down. It usually works, but this time it was a little bit less straightforward.

"It starts at 2 PM sharp..." Ciri averted her gaze, with an expression on her face one could only contribute to blaming oneself for the group's problems. A look of flustered embarrassment, if you will. "I-it's 1:55..."

"How far away's the meetup point again?" Sara hopped off the dumpster, and sauntered her way to Ciri, leaning over to get a closer look.

"10 minutes if we hurry, but--" Ciri yelped, as she was abruptly cut off by Julie.

"SHI-mmph!" Julie leapt up, but was cut off by Sara's anti-swear hand, a hand that only comes out in the presence of the innocent.

"Let's go," Sara stated, an undertone of icy venom in her tone, "If we rush, we might be able to make it before everyone leaves.

"Actually," Ciri piped up once more, "I-I have a plan, but..."

"Aw come on, but what bud?" Sara went back to her happy tone, a smug grin on her face as she kept her hand on Julie's mouth.

"Well..."

1:59 PM, Abdi Family Storage Locker

The air stank of dust, and as the trio made their way through the storage lot, there was a general air of unease. There always is, in those lots after all. Sara led the way, closely followed by her two compatriots, as they scanned row after row of the identical storage lockers in the row.

"Alright! All we gotta do is slide in, grab 'er, and get out!" Sara glanced over her shoulder at Ciri, flashing a smirk, "Y'know, this was a great idea! Not only will we get to take another joyride, but we'll make a super cool entrance too!" The group finally reached their unit, unit 234, and Sara shuffled in her bag for a moment, before pulling out a silver key. "Alright, just gotta..." The key inserted rather smoothly into its lock, and the locker -- more of a shed -- opened, showing...

"Uh, Sara..." Julie looked over Sara's shoulder, into the unit. "I don't think there's supposed to be so... how do I put this lightly... little? Last time we were here-" Julie was cut off rather abruptly by a panicking duo: both Sara and Ciri were searching the unit top to bottom, although Ciri a good bit more vigorously.

"Where'd it go!? Our pride! Our joy! Our prank!" Sara checked under every one of the remaining tarps, even though the spot where the tank was once kept was conspicuously tank-free. There was a rather obvious trail indicating it had already left long ago. "Not to mention - oh no, where's dad's-" One of his photos -- a photo of him and his mother -- was missing too.

"Where's dad's!? Wh-where's the tank?" Ciri was slowing down fast, realizing the futility of looking. "It's... gone. Someone stole it, somehow..." She slumped down onto the wall, hands hugging her knees to her chest. She looked down, Sara soon coming to her side.

"Hey, hey..." Sara patted Ciri on the head a little, who soon looked over to her with tears in her eyes, "I'm sure they have a plan, okay? We'll find a new tank... promise!" Sara gave a large smile, even for her standards, as she wiped the tears off of Ciri's face.

"One that'll probably be much faster! With a big gun, and really comfy seats! Okay?" Julie knelt down to Ciri's level, and offered a hand in an uncharacteristically friendly manner. "So, let's get going! We've kept them waiting long enough, okay?"

2:13 PM, About 500 feet from the tankery hangar

"This should be it~! Well, guys?" Sara turned around so as to face away from the hangar, still a good 10 feet away from the pair, and held her hands on her hips. "I hope you're ready for the time of your lives!" Julie jogged her way over to Sara, and looked to Ciri optimistically.

"You ready, pipsqueak?" She received a slap on the back for that one from Sara, but smirked nonetheless. Ciri looked unimpressed, and still rather down about the whole 'losing-an-entire-tank' thing. Either way, she went with them, laptop pressed against her chest.

"As ready as you can be, I guess..." Ciri mumbled, mostly to herself. Her eyes were focused more on the ground than the street ahead of her anyways. So the group pressed on, hangar-bound.

“War is not about dying for your country. War is about making other poor bastard die for his!” Louise Garman snapped off, marching in front of the other three girls, drumming her swagger stick against her hand.

“Louise, amigo, it’s just a sport,” Anita Santiago-Colón found herself almost nose-to-nose with Louise, the other girl huffing like a bull about to charge. “Oh, really?” Sneering Louise, indignantly, Maybe if you want that to be an excuse to be a crap-out. But I will not let any crap-outs be in my tank crew! We are going to treat this sport as if it is a life-and-death situation! Like it is an actual war!”

“Louise, we don’t even have a tank yet,” Allie York had to point out. “WE WILL FIND ONE!” Garman cracked her whip in the air, “But first, we are going to show to the commanders that we are the finest crew in this entire team. I will personally not rest until every single one of you would make a full military tank crew look like pansies!”

“Shouldn’t we keep it down… and, like, go to the hangers?” Asked Olivia Young, pointing towards the gathering group of girls. “Exactly! You numbnuts are the reason we are so late! We should be first! Firster than first! We should be there before the captains!” “We have been standing here because you have been talking the entire time, amigo,” observed Anita. “BITCH I WILL-” Louise took a deep breath, “Okay. We are going to drop this. And we march. Go! Left! Left! Left-right-left!”

The group trailed behind Louise Garman at a leisurely pace, paying no mind to the literal marching orders of the delusional woman who was their commander.

Student Council, 2:05PM

“K-Kyeong-Kyang, I don’t think you’re going to jinx it anytime soon…”

For the past three minutes, the student president would go on and on, continually swearing that students would eventually start showing up. Initially perplexed, the various members of the council body eventually started to seem as if they were defeated, with deflated faces of slight discouragement and tiredness from their friend and leader Kyeong-Kyang’s constant empty statements which held no real weight behind them in the form of proof. Nonetheless, she’d stop briefly upon hearing Mi-Suk express her doubts, the rest of the council body would nod in agreement. Yeong in particular would fold her arms, speaking up as the blonde girl was still half frozen in her previous, excitable hand gestures.

“Yeah… Sorry, prez. Mi-Suk’s got a point. I enjoy your enthusiasm, but just wishing won’t make people just show up.”

At this, the young adult sighed, closed her eyes and looked down a bit, contemplating to herself. Perhaps they were right, but she knew that somewhere out there, if anything, students would arrive, either for their love of tankery, or just the scholarship opportunity. Thus, she’d speak up, conviction in her opened eyes.

“I know for sure that they’re gonna start showing up. In fact, they’re gonna start doing it right now, I know it.”

“Kyeong…” a weary Mi-Suk began, but she was promptly interrupted by Kyeong-Kyang.

“...Riiight, NOW!”

Kirskmonia wrote:-first ones!-

As she said this, a small group crested one of the forest-laden hills, where they found themselves within sight of the Student Council. This group of girls looked college-aged, and seemed as if they were searching for something. ”Bingo,” thought Kyeong-Kyang with a massive smile as she glanced back to her friends, whom all blinked in a bit of surprised. “...Huh,” remarked Gyeong-Suk. “Maybe ya’ weren’t so wrong after all, Kyeong-Kyang.” Mi-Suk would then find herself smiling as well, as she pumped a fist into the air, making the others feel quite small as she unexpectedly and loudly celebrated. “Yaay! We might have some hope after all!” Upon seeing that everybody else had flinched slightly though, she’d immediately retract that arm, closing her eyes whilst scrunching up her head into her shoulders. “S-Sorry, guys! I just got excited…!” However, rather than reprimand her, Yeong pat her on the back hard with a grin, closing her eyes. “It’s fine, it’s fine. Frankly, I admire your admiration for this, despite its young age!” Gyeong-Suk would nod in agreement, reaching up to pat the top of her head. “Yeah, don’t be so hard on yourself, Lili.”

In either case, Kyeong-Kyang would look ahead with a large smile, pointing a fingergun at them as she spoke, rather casual in her tone as the rest looked towards the new group, all wearing smiles except for Mi-Suk, whom seemed slightly bashful.

“Yo! Glad you guys could make it out here, today!~”

Fascist Republic Of Bermuda wrote:-i am george patton-

“Prez!” shouted Yeong as she seemed to peer over an invisible wall towards another group. “There’s more incoming!” At this, the girl would blink as she glanced over, smiling widely as she realized this was true. Perhaps they could do this, after all and break the monotonous cycle of half-decent income and the overwhelming dullness of Yalta. In the meantime, Mi-Suk came forth to the former group of girls with a clipboard. “S-So, uhm… What are your names? I gotta check off this list, see…”

In the meantime, Kyeong-Kyang would go ahead herself towards the approaching group of girls headed by that eccentric individual that stood out amongst them all. Grinning widely and giving a large wave, she’d then approach them, offering out a hand to shake in greetings, though lacking all too much formality. Nonetheless, the friendly and laid-back nature of this authority figure radiated all around her. “Heya girls, glad you could make it out here!” she’d declare as she looked passionately into the others’ eyes. She’d then close her eyes, smiling whilst rubbing the back of her head with her free hand. “...Sorry about the weather, couldn’t organize another day for this.”

"No problem at all. It looks like there is a lot of work to be done here. Is there any thing we can do help?" Alice said trying to make the best of the situation. "Fuck, it looks like Thatcher got a hold of this place too." Gloria muttered to Emeria as Alice talked to student council. "Hey, knock it off Gloria. We need to make a good impression." Emeria warned Gloria as she held back her laughter, desperate to keep some form of composure despite her clear amusement. "Anyways what were their names again? Eli and Maisy or something a bit like that, although I would presume they are gonna introduce themselves." Sara sighed softly. "I certainly hope so, I have never been good with names." She stated as she looked extremely nervous at the prospect of introducing herself to an authoritative figure.

1:48PM behind the main school building

"[It's almost that time,]" spoke Nadia Isaeva in Russian as she checked her watch. She was leaning against the wall while her two friends, Ulyana Ivanovka and Svetlana Vasilyeva, squatted around a cheap plastic boom box. The boom box was hooked up to one of the girl's phones and was blaring hardbass at a volume sure to blow out the speakers. "[Are we gonna go?]" Nadia asked.

"[Why?]" Svetlana spat, a sunflower seed shell hitting the pavement. "[So they can just turn us away the moment we show up? I don't know about you Nadia, but I'm not exactly in the mood to be laughed at today. I say we just ignore the cunts and carry on with what we're doing.]"

"[You mean standing around eating semechki and listening to hardbass?]" Nadia asked sarcastically.

"[What?]" Svetlana gave Nadia a look as if to suggest she was dumb. "[Do you have a better idea for something to do?]"

"[We could go to this tankery thing,]" Nadia pointed out.

"[And get laughed at? Do you not hear what I just said?]" Svetlana glared at Nadia who rolled her eyes. The music then stopped and both girls looked over to see Ulyana standing with her phone in hand.

"[I've decided,]" Ulyana said. "[We're going to this tankery event.]" Nadia cracked a smile.

"[But,]" Svetlana began.

"[If they throw us out and laugh at us then we just do as we normally do,]" she said confidently. "[We tell them to fuck off.]" Svetlana frowned for a moment then sighed.

"[Fine,]" she sighed and got to her feet. "[But if they laugh at us.]" she looked over at Nadia. "[You're buying me a drink.]"

"[Deal,]" Nadia smirked. "[But if they don't you buy me a drink.]"

"[If they accept us I'll buy both of you drinks,]" Ulyana said confidently as she zipped up her yellow Adidas tracksuit jacket. "[Now let's move.]"

2:07PM, the tankery garages

"[it's grimier then I expected,]" Svetlana stated as the trio of tracksuit-clad Russians made their way towards the garage.

"[The flier did say they were restarting the team,]" Ulyana said with a hint of worry in her voice.

"[What kind of tanks do you think they have?]" Svetlana asked sarcastically.

"[Judging by the look of this place. I'd say we'ed be lucky to get a T-34-85,]" Ulyana scoffed sarcastically.

"[Looks like some other teams got here before us,]" Nadia stated blatantly.

"[Great observation skills there captain obvious,]" Svetlana joked sarcastically.

"[Recognize anyone?]" Ulyana asked Nadia who had the best eyes among them.

"[Nope,]" Nadia assured.

"[Good. We might actually have a shot at this,]" Ulyana said as she confidently strode up to the garage.

Pisces: lol, she's totally not gonna make it
Pendra: Woulda been better if we just went ourselves lol

"Ugh, would you two just shut up?!" Hikari yelled at the stream running on her phone, barely glancing at it as she jogged towards the meetup. She checked the time on her phone before she focused on the run ahead of her once more -- 2:04. "I-I skipped my class and everything, okay! Just..." Hikari checked her phone one last time before she slipped it back into her bag.

Pisces: lol shes already late and didn't even notice (≧∀≦)☛
Pendra: Yo don't put the phone back in your pocket nerd we need to like
Pendra: see the world
Pendra: with our eyes.
Pisces: ◕◡◕

"Then you two can come out yourselves..." Hikari grumbled as she slipped her phone back into her laptop bag, the camera streaming her trek peeking out the front. She was going to be late, alright... the only question is by how much. All that work, skipping her class, all for what? For some dumb sport she didn't even care about? She focused on her run, fast approaching the meetup.

Pendra: Yo, have you thought about how we're gonna get in there anyways?
Pisces: yeye, i already cleared a few of her friends to be "tanking" with her. everything's cash money over here (o^-')b
Pendra: REALLY now. So you're saying you committed
Pendra: you know
Pendra: FRAUD???
Pisces: pshh no, i just put their names on a webpage! besides
Pendra: I eat ass LOL
Pisces: it's only illegal if you're caught ☆⌒(≧▽° )
Pisces: god dammit pen

Ignoring the constant buzzing of her phone, Hikari picked up the pace, composing herself as she made it to the crest of the hill.
"Alright... this is it." Hikari took a deep breath. Everything was gonna be fine, she just had to compose herself and ignore the near constant buzzing of her phone as the messages kept rolling in. Deep breaths. Hikari finally gathered up the courage to stroll her way over the hill, attempting to look as casual as possible which, considering her past, was very casual. When she spotted the team generally shuffling about below, Hikari cupped her hands over her mouth and shouted a rather loud "Heeeey!" towards the group, waving as she continued her descent towards the crowd.

Pisces: so all im saying is season 2 of yoko yaoi was like
Pisces: SO much better than season 3
Pendra: Yo stfu about your anime or whatever
Pisces: hey! ( `ε´ )"
Pendra: Nono I mean like
Pendra: She made it
Pisces: o
Pisces: good luck!

On their way to the Garage, 2:08 PM
The four of them now gathered, none seemed particularly excited at prospect of joining tankery or at least showed externally, with the exception of Yayoi. Who was ecstatic at the prospect of actively participating in the sport rather than sidelined at the garages, made to watch the machines she poured care, sweat, and tears go in to competition without her. Shaking with excitement, Yayoi turns around the rest of her team and asks them a question. "Hey, what kind of tanks do you think they're going to be letting us use? I mean in our previous school ship, all they had were tanks used by the Imperial Japanese military and some of the older JGSDF vehicles. What do you guys think?"

Ingerid and Sophie simply shrugged at the same time, with Ingerid chiming in to answer the young Japanese woman. "To be honest, I don't really care what kind of vehicle we'd be given. I just hope that whatever it is, it has a significant place in history. Something like the Mark IV tank or for something more recent, probably something like the T-55." Nodding at her answer, Yayoi didn't particularly agree with it rather as a sign of her attempt in trying to understand the meaning of her words. Taking a few seconds before deciding to go into depth later, turned her attention to the former tank commander to await for her response.

Catching the gaze of the former mechanic, Nancy tried to look away in an attempt to distance herself from the conversation. It had worked for the next couple seconds or so, until Yayoi started poking her cheek to get her attention. Taking a few seconds to compose herself, Nancy spoke on the matter brought up by the question. "Something like WWI tanks are unlikely to show up as part of our planned team composition since it takes an enormous amount of manpower to properly man such a machine. At least by modern day standards. Really anything produced before late 1975 are out of the question, due to the other schools we are going to be competing against are expected to use modern tanks such as the M1 Abrams, T-90, and the Leopard 2. All of those the pinnacles of Mobility, Survivability, and Firepower. Anything below that time limit would be lacking in performance against those mechanical beasts, even the infamous T-55 is almost completely obsolete against those three... In other words, Main Battle Tanks. Everyone will probably have the same vehicles, although there might be some tasked with manning Infantry Fighting Vehicles to act as a "Hunter" for the rest of the team."

"Oh... If that's the case that's kinda lame. Eh, whatever, as long as I get to ride in one and be part of the tank crews I'll be happy!" Said Yayoi, momentarily disheartened from the uniformity that Nancy predicted, but shortly after shrugging the explanation off and gaining the excitement back. So excited was the young Japanese women, that she would have bumped into the three Russian women (who are hard to miss due to one of them wearing a yellow Adidas tracksuit jacket) their group found themselves behind, had Sophie not pull Yayoi back to prevent an accident. The whole thing garnering a response from the former mechanic. "H-Hey, what was that for?!"

Whispering in Yayoi's ear, Sophie told exactly why. "Pay attention, Yayoi. If you can't tell at first glance, they're clearly some delinquents. They're trouble. We don't need to be getting into any trouble while on the way to a potential ticket to free tuition as long as we're here. Understood? And Nancy?"

"Hm?" Absently responds Nancy, her thoughts drifting to random trivia about the Sturmtiger.

"Whatever anybody says, you're going to be the commander of the tank we're going to get assigned. Okay? None of has any experience in commanding a tank, which would only be a detriment for the chance of getting a free ride. You also have a track record that shows you to be a competent tank commander. Anyone in disagreement?" Sophie quickly asks the other two, who were so surprised by the seriousness of her tone that they could only shake their head in agreement. Satisfied at their answers, Sophie turned her attention back to Nancy. "See, both of them agree with me and that makes it settled! Now that we're all on the same page, don't hide in the back, commander. Lead on to the Garage."

In one swift motion, Nancy went from using her taller companions as cover from any attention from the front to being in the front, Nancy feeling like she's being used as a shield from the girls in front of them. "So-Sophie, why are you so serious all of a sudden?!" She stammers out.

"Isn't that obvious? It's because I want to get the accolades promised to us should we win. If not for that, I would have no interest in joining this organization. Now onward, Commander Abenojar, to the Garage!" Replied Sophie, placing both of her hands on Nancy's upper back and pushing her along towards their goal. The half-Filipino girl could only protest at the action, as they pass the group of three in short order, only stopping when they weren't that far from where everyone else had gathered in front of the garage.

“Halt march!” Louise called out as the gaggle spotted the first (and, presumably, leadership) of the tankery team.

The group did not come to a complete, clean halt, but rather clustered around Mi-Suk in a sort of semi-circle formation.

“Louise Garman. I’m from California,” She spoke as if Mi-Suk should have known this already, twirling the end of her riding crop in little circles in the air, “You know me. You should, anyways.” Garman was particularly infamous, but perhaps not as famous as she would like to think herself.

“Uh… okay, guess this is how we’re doing things… I’m… uh… Olivia Young,” the girl of that name spoke up now, tugging at her frankly far-too-pink jacket. Her eyes darted around, just slightly, as if she was both nervous and ever so slightly paranoid. “From Ohio.”

“Name’s Allie York,” The girl in the U.S. Army jacket spoke past the chewing gum in her mouth, planting her hands on her hip, “And don’t you forget it.” Olivia cleared her throat, motioning Allie to carry on, Allie thinking for a moment before saying quietly, “Oh… uh… from Tennessee. I have my student ID right here.” She whipped out her money clip from one of the many pockets inside the jacket, withdrawing her student ID card from the clip’s grasp and waving it in the air.

“Hola,” the tall girl in the mechanic jumpsuit, “My name’s Anita Santiago-Colon, 'n' I'm from Puerto Rico, man.” She glanced around, narrowing her eyes at the rather conspicuous absence of anything important beyond the hangers. “Are the tanks in the hangers, man? Why didn’t you drive them out if you wanted some attention, amigo? Tanks are pretty easily recognized, man.”

“They are probably in the hangers,” Garman calmed her ‘subordinate’, before eyeing Mi-Suk suspiciously, “Unless the people in charge have their heads farther up their asses than the generals who stopped us at the Oder River instead of driving straight to Moscow.”

“Louise, please,” Allie sighed, facepalming, “Could you stop referencing Patton’s life for five minutes? Not even an hour, just five minutes.” Louise looked frankly offended that Allie would even suggest such a thing. “York, I am sorry if you feel that way,” She wasn’t screaming, her tone seemed more like like she was explaining something to a toddler than anything else, “But I can’t help but recall my past lives.” A collective groan went up among the other 3 girls. Not this again.

2:09PM approaching the garage.

The hairs on the back of Ulyanas neck suddenly stood up and she took a quick step forward. She'd only ever felt that sensation just before getting punched in the back of the head. She turned around, arms raised in a fighting stance, anticipating a punch to the face. Instead of a punch, however, there was just a group of girls talking about tanks and crew positions. Ulyana narrowed her eyes and glared at them knowing that they must have been about to do something to her, but as she had no proof she let it go and rejoined her team. As the group got closer to the garages they could more clearly see the students gathered there as well as hear some of their conversations.

“Could you stop referencing Patton’s life for five minutes? Not even an hour, just five minutes," Ulyana's group could here one of there girls in a U.S army jacket say.
"York, I am sorry if you feel that way,” said another one of the girls holding a riding crop. “But I can’t help but recall my past lives,” the riding crop girl explained. By this point, Ulyana's group was close enough to hear the collective groan of the other girls in the group.

"[Hey,]" Svetlana whispered to Ulyana in Russian. "[Did that girl really just say she thinks she's Patton?]"

"[I think so,]" Ulyana replied raising her eyebrow. The corners of Svetlanas mouth twisted up into a mischievous grin. Ulyana looked at her friend's expression and sighed. Here we go, she thought as she rubbed her forehead with her index and middle fingers. Svetlana took a couple of large steps so that she was ahead of her comrades.

"So you think you are Patton?," Svetlana laughed at Garman in heavily accented English. "That is funny. If that is case then I am Vasilevsyk. She is Zhukov," she pointed to Nadia. "and that is Stalin," she pointed to Ulyana. Finished with her retort she smirked and placed her hand on her hip.

Scarcely had Svetlana finished her snide remark than Louise Garman readied her riding crop, only for a panicked Olivia Young to step in between the indignant commander and insolent Russians. "Okaygreatthanksyouropinionisnotedbye!" Olivia sputtered out at a velocity approaching the land speed record, glancing around and leaning forward, "That riding crop is not just for show, and I highly suggest you leave now!" "If you know what is good for you you will run," Garman confirmed, tapping her riding crop, "Young, I appreciate the stalwart defense, but it is hardly needed. Especially against some good-for-nothing Russians."

Another collective groan from the team. Anita tried her hand at disarming the conversation. "You really should get your mouth checked, man. There's an unhealthy amount of mierda coming out of it, mi amigo," She spoke to the Russian girl. She was still laid back, and only slightly concerned for their safety. As opposed to Olivia, who were in almost a blind panic. This was how Garman had been expelled from White Eagle!

"I-I really think you should just stop bothering her, really, she's... uh... quite the fighter..." Olivia glanced around nervously. Too many witnesses. Far too many witnesses.

"Can we, like, not right now," Allie York called out, exasperated, adjusting her collar, "Yes, she thinks she is Patton. Yes, you're very astute for noticing that. Now, are you going to say something constructive or just keep acting like Mean Girls Goes To Moscow? Because you're just wasting everybody's time right now."

"You Russians, you wouldn't know decency if it shoved the entire god-damned Empire State Building up your-" "Louise. Not. Helping." Allie York snapped off, holding up a finger. Louise looked just slightly confused that Allie would silence her.

"Was that a threat?" Ulyana asked as she strode up next to Svetlana. Her hands were in her pockets and she looked perfectly calm.

"I do believe it was," Svetlana smirked. Ulyana looked then back to the Americans.

"I do not like Yankee cykas threatening my crewmates," Ulyana stated, glaring at the Americans. Her eyes then rested on the riding crop the Garman was holding and she began trying to hold in a laugh. "Hold on Sveta. Are you saying they threatened you," Ulyana pointed at the riding crop. "With that pathetic stick?"Svetlana nodded and Ulyana burst into laughter. "You cykas call us indecent. You do not even have courtesy to threaten us with proper weapon. Hell I doubt you have ever even been in fight," Ulyana turned back to her driver. "I bet short stuff over there is as delusional about her tankery abilities as she is about herself," Ulyana intentionally said to Svetlana in English rather than Russian. Ulyana let out a few more laughs then stood up straight. She motioned to Nadia and the 5'9" gunner came up alongside Ulyana, cracking her knuckles. "Listen here Yanks. My team I. We do not fuck around. So think long and hard about who you are picking fight with. Because otherwise I will take that stick of yours, snap it in two, and shove so far up your ass that you are having for lunch. [Ponimal]?"

"You must be drunk on that vodka you love so much, because that, Comrade," Garman spoke the word with as much venom as a cottonmouth, "That wasn't a threat. That was a statement of what is going to happen if you try to attack me. I do not appreciate teammates who seek out conflict. If you're going to keep this up, then by all means." She pointed her riding crop back to the school buildings, rising up from the field. "Then go back there, and do not even think about joining tankery."

Her fellow Americans breathed a half-sigh of relief. At least she was being more... diplomatic? Less openly hostile? That was it. Less openly hostile. But Louise was on her soapbox, and when she got on her soapbox it took a lot to get her off of it.

"I don't expect you to understand, with your head firmly lodged up your own asscrack, but tankery is a team sport. I know war, and I know tankery. Your attitude is the same attitude that gets good men killed, and good tanks knocked out. In war, mostly about the whole getting killed bit. Tanks are knocked out in both tankery and war. " She stumbled over her words a little, but was back on track near instantly. "I commanded a tank Teamwork is always going to be key when commanding a tank, and coordinating a tankery team. If you are not willing to work with other people, then you absolutely should not be here right now."

"So there is a choice now." She straightened up, as if at attention. She pointed her riding crop at the Russians, then pointing her riding crop at the rest of the town. "You can either keep your attitude and head back to your dorm rooms to wallow in the existential dread of having to prove yourself better to everybody you meet. Or-" She pointed her riding crop at the garage and other tankery teams. "You leave your attitude and prejudices right here, and you work with the team to take home this tankery trophy. I, for one, will take the second option. And as such I am going to put up with your attitude right now, and ignore the fact that you want to start internal conflict among the team before we even have our tanks, because if you are willing to ignore what you dislike about me and my crew, then I have full confidence we will all be celebrating a victory in the tournament at this very spot in the near future."

Allie glanced to Olivia, who shrugged. If Louise soapboxing was the alternative to Louise trying to fight, then it was good. Probably.

As Garman spoke Nadia and Svetlana looked at Ulyana who was clearly growing increasingly agitated. Once Garman had finished Ulyana took a step towards the shorter commander rage explicit on her face. She pulled her hands from her pockets and cracked her knuckles. She stopped just outside of attacking distance so as not cause Garamn's teammates to leap into action.

"How dare you lecture me on tankery," Ulyana spat. "A pompous, cosplaying, wannabe tanker like yourself has probably never stepped one foot inside tank. Yet you dare to lecture me," Ulyana's voiced had risen to a shout. "I know more about tankery then the lot of you put together. My crewmates and I were on an international's level team fighting it all the way to the finales. We beat every team in Russia, and every team in the world to make it just as far. So don't you dare, lecture me about what it takes to fucking win! The ones who should be marching back to their dorms are self-righteous fucking cyka posers like you!" She aggressively thrust her finger forwards pointing straight at Garman. "I know your type. You think you're so amazing with your cheap stick and your faux uniform that mocks both the sport and real soldiers. Ha, don't make me laugh. I bet daddy bought those for you when you said you wanted to get into tankery. Too bad he couldn't buy you some actual fucking experience. You know what? Cykas like you aren't even worth my fucking time. So why don't you pack up that high and mighty attitude of yours and get the fuck out of here so some actual tankers can take your fucking place?" Ulyana finished her rant. She was fuming, her face flushed with rage. Yet despite that tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Ulyana?," Nadia said stepping forward and putting her arm around Ulyana. Normally Nadia would be backing her friend up, looking menacing and intimidating, ready for a fight. But this was different. Normally when their group got into a scuffle there were some insults thrown back and forth. This was then followed by some punches. Then after everyone had a black eye they would share vodka and some cigs and laugh about who had the biggest bruise. This time however Ulyana had gotten legitimately angry. As far as Nadia could remember there had never been an instance when her friend had gotten that heated. "[Common]," Nadia spoke to Ulyana in Russian. "[They are not worth our time. Besides, I thought we came here to start over. To try again. You have made your point. Let's leave them and carry on]."

"Net!" Ulyana pulled away from Nadia. "[They have insulted me, insulted us. They must pay]," Nadia slapped Ulyana.

"[Ulyana enough. I understand what they have said. Normally I would be upset too. But Svetlana started it and we are not doing ourselves any favors because of it. So let it go. If you want to be mad at someone be mad at Sveta. She is the one who deserves your ire. Not them]," Nadia pointed to Garman and her team. "Pozhaluysta?"

"Khorosho," Ulyana replied whipping away a tear. "[But don't think I will forget this]," she glared at Garman, flipped the American off, and then turned and walked back towards Svetlana.

"[Why are you backing down]," Svetlana asked. Ulyana slapped the driver.

"[Never do that again]!" Ulyana snapped. She then reached into her pocket and took out a cigarette and lighter. Ulyana began trying to light the thing, her hands still shaking from adrenaline.

Garman stood completely unphased. It was what Patton would do, after all. If she had to take a few punches, she'd take a few punches. She didn't interrupt Ulyana during her long spiel, her own team ready to grab the girl who was standing her ground and pull her away from a punch that never came.

"I do not particularly care if you beat all of the best teams in the world while in a Mark I Mother last season. You and your teammate here," pointing at Svetlana, "Are out of line. I have served in tankery before. I've commanded a Stuart, a Sherman, a Pershing, and an Abrams. I've never singlehandedly changed the course of a match, never gotten to the internationals except when I was in White Eagle." She admitted this honestly. That's how you do it. Honesty leads to relability leads to inspiration. "I reckon myself a decent enough tanker, able to effectively follow commands and relay commands to my crew and any subordinate tanks. But that doesn't matter now, because what matters now is that we are right here, applying for Yalta Tankery. Discipline and teamwork make or break armies and tankery teams alike, and it really is a sign of God's infinite mercy if you got to the internationals yelling at your teammates from the first day on. I don't imagine Lebron James, or Tom Brady yell at their sports teams for no good reason." "American sports stars. Those are American sports stars. Basketball and our version of Football. Not soccer, the other one," Olivia added helpfully, concerned, "Hey, Louise, maybe you should back of-"

"If you hit me, if you throw that punch I know you want to throw, if you smash my stupid high-and-mighty face into the curb until I have no more teeth, you do nothing but prove you aren't a good fit for this tankery." Louise entirely ignored Olivia, and carried on regardless, nodding at the middle finger from Ulyana. "What you need to do is go out here and prove that you are a tankery crew that can work well with others. Show me- show us all- that you are not some 'self-righteous fucking suka poser' and that you are the shining-fucking-jewel of this tankery team! If you show me you are a good tank commander, I will gladly drive with you to the gates of hell and back."

"Louise, I think she's done with us, man," Anita remarked, voice still calm despite it all. "I think she, like, legitimately hates you," Allie observed, "Actually? Scratch that. She does legitimately hate you." "I can be divisive, no need to get our panties in a twist about that," Louise adjusted her helmet, tapping her riding crop against her pants leg, "I can only hope she uses that hate in a constructive way." "Did she really participate in the internationals? Why is she even here, then?" Allie wondered aloud, "This is hardly tankery's most prestigious university." "Well, she might have gotten kicked off the team... Louise and I are both here after we left White Eagle..." Olivia spoke up now, leaving the exact details vague. "It hardly matters," Louise decided, "Either they beat us up and prove me right, or are amazing tankers and prove me wrong. Either way, we win." "I'd like to not get beaten up by some Russian thugs, thanks," Allie snorted sarcastically.

"Crazy Ivan just slapped Mean Girl Goes To Moscow, amigos," observed Anita acutely, rather put off by that fact that nobody else cared enough to raise a point. "It is fine, Anita," consoled Louise, "Sometimes you need to enforce physical discipline. I did so myself back at White Eagle. The sensitive wet tissues in charge threw me out because of it." The tall girl glanced at Louise with more than a little bit of concern on her face, but Louise wasn't even looking in Anita's direction anymore.

Kyeong-Kyang would stare on as the girl went on awkwardly, before smiling and chuckling to herself. The group wasn't really the type to speak, huh? Well in either case a group was a group nonetheless, one that the blonde student council president would be more than happy to call aboard. They needed all the manpower that they could get, even if it meant that Alice's companions wouldn't really talk all that much, or if she didn't feel all too comfortable around an authority figure much like the young adult herself. Almost as a reflexive response to this, she'd close her eyes, sort of half-swatting at the air with a single hand while the other remained on her hip, the girl speaking up in a tone of voice that was really casual for someone so high up the chain.

"Eh, it's fine. Community Service has got it handled anyways, so don't you worry your pretty face now, 'kay? For now, we're waiting on others so just sit tight."

Immediately after, she'd then place both hands back on her hips, as she opened her eyes, looking confidently out at the group of three.

"Also, don't worry when you're around me. I don't bite-- unless you actively start any fights, so chill, alright?"

Kyeong-Kyang would then grin and wink at Alice, before twirling around to rejoin her comrades-in-paperwork as they conversed with the new group(s) that presented themselves.

Fascist Republic Of Bermuda wrote:-introductions-

Student Council

Finding herself face to face with a scary-looking girl wielding a riding crop, Mi-Suk seemed to shrink just a bit, eyes wide not only just because of her natural curiosity, but perhaps because she was slightly intimidated. Strange, since she was taller and probably a ton stronger than Louise. The other two meanwhile found this all very amusing, both of them wearing entertained smiles as they had their arms crossed and simply watched, nodding multiple times. In either case, when Louise had introduced herself, she looked downwards and scrambled to look for her name, to which she found and checked off.

"Louise Garman... G-Gotcha! Also, I'm sorry-- I don't know who you are, but please don't hit me with that thing..."

She'd continue to check them off as their introductions came up, with her muttering their names to herself as she went. As soon as all of them were done then and the groaning had subsided, the blue-haired girl and the one with the ballcap would both nod at eachother. Yeong would introduce herself first, adjusting her unzipped jumpsuit slightly with a large adventurous smile, swishing both of her mid-blue pigtails back.

"You already know the prez, but as for us? Name's Yeong Lee, from Busan. It's nice to meet'cha all!"

Then would come Gyeong-Suk, whom would adjust her ballcap and passively strike a 'batter waiting for the game to start' pose, her expression remaining relatively flat as she'd nod upwards at them, light blue eyes staring more sharply at them.

"Gyeong-Suk, Incheon, baseball star. It's a pleasure to be working with you four, we need all the hands we can get around here."

As this exchange of names took place then, the blonde girl rejoined the group of three, smiling out at them as she placed a hand on Mi-Suk's shoulder, sort of reaching more upwards. Regardless, she'd hesitantly glance towards Kyeong-Kyang, still clutching the clipboard as the other girl stared with that mischievous smile up at her. She'd then pat the other on the back several times, before speaking up.

"The other team? Names are Alice, Gloria, and Emeria. They're all here."

Once she had stated this to Mi-Suk whom would quickly check off their names, the girl herself would then grin enthusiastically, offering a hand out to what she presumed was the leader of the group, Louise. It was a warm and friendly, yet considerate and somewhat formal gesture, though it felt rather casual and relaxed, perhaps slightly unexpected of the Student Council president.

"Yo! Name's Kyeong-Kyang, Student Council president. Glad ya' all could make it out here, today."

Though it was here when Svetlana and her Russian wingwomen would arrive, immediately acting rather rude and snarky in the blonde's opinion, as she watched on curiously. The rest of the council did as well, though at every remark that came out Mi-Suk would 'shrink' even more, whilst the others begun putting their hands into their pockets, Kyeong-Kyang crossing her own arms as she looked on, tapping her foot. Her smile slowly turned to a staunchly disapproving frown,as the continued provocations of this new group continued to dig into the seemingly far more professional group led by this Patton wannabe. It felt to her like the others wished to start an actual fight with them, and as such, Kyeong-Kyang would glance upwards at Mi-Suk, whom would look back at the president, now panicked as she realized what this exactly entailed, The girl began shaking her head profusely whilst the blonde herself shrugged, before sighing to herself and turning back to the constant bickering at hand. Patience running relatively thin and frustration at these haughty, and rather delinquent-like individuals, she opened her mouth to speak with her eyes narrowed, before Louise began on her little speech.

Fascist Republic Of Bermuda wrote:-a u t h o r i t y-

Hearing this only managed to calm the Student Council president, as her expression softened and her eyes slightly widened. The rest of the group as well felt similarly, as Mi-Suk especially found herself nodding profusely a few times. As the girl would go on about discipline for the sake of Yalta, and performing for the sake of showing her how she is a worthy practitioner of Tankery, Kyeong-Kyang found herself in slight awe that Louise was able to muster these words, and put herself above physical violence especially when provoked so directly. However, she found herself biting her lip as she heard what the Puerto Rican had to say, as she honestly wouldn't be all that surprised. A barrier like that this early on wasn't really the best thing, but they still needed everyone they could get to even stand a chance, after all. However, Yeong found herself stifling a giggle at Anita's last remark, as the other two briefly eyed her and Kyeong-Kyang continued to stand there half-dumbfounded. In either case, the Student Council president would then breathe in deeply before breathing out, proceeding to speak-- her eyes in a more 'neutral' state, far different than her usual relaxed self.

"...She's right, you know. Fighting'll get us nowhere. I'd bet right now that if the other schools saw us right now in this state that they'd be laughing their asses off, since even with such a small group we've managed to almost escalate things to violence. If I were someone from North Star or Stahlfalke, I'd probably think that we wouldn't be getting past our first match."

She'd place her hands on her hips, glancing out at both teams.

"...But I think we still can. Infighting not only leads to disorganization, but also heartbreaks and unnecessary troubles. You can do it all you want outside, but keep that shit out of this, alright? We're a team. We're supposed to work together, to cover for one another. Can I trust that when both of you are in the hatch, that you won't blast the other? If not, then I'm afraid that this whole program won't be for you. We're serious about this, after all."

The rest of the Student Council were quiet, though most nodded alongside their leader. Though the mood had been eviscerated, they all still nonetheless agreed with her, and didn't know how to necessarily lighten the mood-- at the moment.

"So! Can I trust you guys with that? Man, I hope I can because if I can't, then I just wasted a ton of good school spending!" Kyeong-Kyang would suddenly blurt out, having closed her eyes and rubbed the back of her head with a large smile, laughing a bit to herself, as the others would look amongst themselves, all smiling slightly and sighing almost collectively that their friend was back to her normal self.

Nadiya calmly walked up to Garman and her group. At five feet and nine inches tall she towered over most of the other group She showed no intention to fight, but her expression was still one of annoyance. Nadia folded her arms across her chest and looked Garman straight in the eye.
"Ulyana is one of the best and most consistent tankers I have served with, but she has been through more than someone such as you could only imagine. Normally I do not take kindly to people insulting my commander, but for the sake of de-escalation, I will let it go. Instead, I suggest you take your own advice. Acting high and mighty, acting as if you know it all. Trust me it doesn't get you where you think it should." Nadia then returned to her group without waiting for an answer.

Staying quiet, the half-Filipino commander only looked on as some of the teams engaged in verbal combat, the Student Council President even stepping in at the latter part of the ongoing discussion. And even as all of this went on, Nancy could only gaze at the members of the Russian women, finding them to be somewhat familiar. Thinking on the matter a little longer, Nancy would have reached a proper conclusion had Sophie not sent an elbow to her back. Recollecting herself and in attempt to break the overall hostile exchange, stepped up to Kyeong-Kyang introducing herself and the rest of her crew. Clearing her throat, Nancy spoke up.

"Umm..... I-I'm Nancy Abenojar and these are my friends Ingrid, Sophie, and Yayoi!" She unexpectedly shouted at the president, her nerves getting the better of her. "W-We came here to be part of the tankery team! If you'll have us that is! I don't really know what's going on right now, but I hope we can all get a long... Nice to meet all of you!"

Surprised by the sudden turn of events the three greeted everyone with Yayoi politely bowing to everyone, Ingrid giving a friendly wave, and Sophie simply giving a terse nod of acknowledgement. Embarrassed by her actions, Nancy bowed as well in order to hide her blushing face from view. Bowing for a solid ten seconds, Nancy would slowly raise her head up in order to gauge the reactions from the others which would determine how she interacts with the rest of those here.

"Oh, fuck you," York snorted at the tall girl who could probably beat her to a pulp, "She started it."

"I don't think she's listening, man," Anita interrupted unceremoniously.

“Well then,” Garman cleared her throat and tugged her coat down again, “That’s her own fault.” The rest of the crew facepalmed again.

The student council tried to call for order, but the Russians were being frustrated as always. Except… “She does have a point,” Garman said, waving her riding crop vaguely in Ulyana’s direction. She glanced around and pushing her helmet up slightly to give herself a better view, “Are we absolutely sure there are enough tanks for everybody?”

Speaking of everybody, a new team stumbled up to them and gave hurried introductions. “Hi, pleasure to meet,” Olivia spoke up first. “Afternoon,” York greeted. Garman gave a quick salute. Anita gave a little wave.

Kyeong-Kyang and the various members of the council all found themselves relaxing a bit once they had found the situation was cooling down. The blonde Korean-American in particular was preparing another statement, but fortunately both parties were mature to back down-- at least for now. She'd have to keep an eye on them, and her various comrades-in-paperwork seemed to agree with her. Though she didn't quite know how she would organize the various participants into tanks, Kyeong-Kyang at least knew none of the members from either group were ever going to be in the same tank. That being said, it was odd how they were all coming in groups, but perhaps that after all is what would be the best method of assignment for crews. Regardless, the inevitable question came up regarding the tanks. Truth be told, she wasn't entirely confident. Initial scans were turning up negative, but they knew there were various armored vehicles lying about the school grounds. There had to be-- there were so many cases of tanks being lost, forgotten, or simply abandoned due to faults that it'd be odd NOT to find one if enough manpower was provided. All they had in that hangar was a single M60 with ERA, and even the ERA lugs that they'd hitch the ERA onto had been damaged as part of an old senior prank. Not a good position, but they had to do something-- buying new tanks was out of the question. As such, Kyeong-Kyang would rub the back of her head as the rest of the council looked at eachother with worry.

"Uh... Weeelllll... We'll get to that in a sec, 'kay?"

Right as she said that, another group which had been overshadowed by the feud between the Russians and Americans made their... second debut. Honestly, the president had been so wrapped up in this whole thing that she had been tunnelvisioning them the whole time, which honestly made her feel even worse and all the more surprised when she heard the Filipino girl yell a bit loudly at her, probably not out of anger but just to get her attention. That didn't stop Kyeong-Kyang however, as the rest of the council looked at her with an expression that more or less agreed with her sentiment that they felt a bit bad. Regardless, she'd clear her throat, smiling at them and chuckling a bit, closing her eyes and sounding a bit embarrassed for her rather laid back and chill nature.

"A-Ah, hey. Nice to meet ya', Nancy! It's your prez here, but just call me Kyeong, alright? And... Of course we'll be glad to have you! We need all the hands we can get... And don't worry. I'm sure we'll all get along, right guys...?"

She'd glance briefly over to the two polarized groups, then back to Nancy and her friends. Mi-Suk in the meantime would scribble down their names, making sure to put lines in between the clusters that came after Kyeong-Kyang's order. In the meantime, Yeong would give them a brief wave with a similar smile. "Yo. Yeong Lee, BFF of our prez, here." Gyeong-Suk in turn would give a simple nod with her arms crossed. "'Sup, you three. Nice to meet'cha all. Gyeong-Suk's the name." Kyeong-Kyang would then glance back over to the Filipino girl, smile still as wide as ever. "Aaaanyways. We're glad to have ya'!

It was around this time then, that a singular figure was making its' way down to the rundown Hangars. Unlike any other previous arrival, she wasn't in the group. No... She was texting? Odd, but of course they needed all the manpower they could get so the Student Council saw it as a blessing regardless. "Ah, 'scuse me for a second," said Kyeong-Kyang, as the Jovial student council president would saunter on over, leaving all but Mi-Suk behind, leading to the other two glancing towards Nancy and attempting to strike up some smalltalk. "Yo, Nancy, you three girls, how's your day been?" she'd begin.

Kyeong-Kyang would approach the lone girl then stop, hands on her hips as she triumphantly smiled, though Mi-Suk's face harbored caution and curiosity that a singular person would arrive alone. Regardless, she drew a line on her clipboard whilst she awaited a name, letting Kyeong-Kyang do all the talking as she towered over her fellow asian-american. Kyeong-Kyang herself radiatedwith friendliness and trust, even extending a hand outwards, closing her eyes whilst grinning, exuding an aura that made it seem like she had fulfilled something important. With measurable enthusiasm in her voice she'd speak, still unaware of her online friends and their nature in being involved with this form of sport, not being physically present at the moment.

"Heya, there! Glad you could make it! Sorry the weather's like this, all the other days were already pre-booked. Aaaanyways, what's your name, girl?"

There are no tanks? Nancy thoughts immediately gravitating towards those specific words, a sad realization that despite the earlier announcement from the student council, that the courage she had mustered to go here might just have been wasted. Her emotions flashing from sadness to anger, then turning into relief. Taking a deep breath, she would try to turn back around and leave, if not one of her friends too clear issue with this obvious problem.

“What do you mean there’s a lack of tanks?!” Asked Sophie loudly, pearly peeved at turn of events.

However, not even letting anyone having the chance to potentially answer, Yayoi simply shrugged and gave an answer of her own. “If there’s not enough tanks to play with and they said there should be some on the ship somewhere, why not just help with physically finding them? I mean there’s plenty of hiding spots and whatever they’re using to scan might be blocked by certain obstacles. With the amount of people here, it should be more than enough to start the minimum for a school ship search party. To make it easier, we can even ask around.”

“Haaaa, do you hear yourself? The school ship is huge! We’d be spending days to potentially months even longer in finding tanks! We don’t have clue as to where to begin something like that!” Sophie replied, finding the suggestion highly incredulous at best.

The peppy Student President was about to speak but was cut off by Sophie, unaware that Nancy might have simply turned tail otherwise. Her concerns regarding the lack of tanks was indeed not unfounded. Even though she had not spoken up about the simple matter that all they had for sure was an old Patton, it seemed as if people were already catching on. Despite this seemingly hopeless situation, the Student Council had done meticulous research beforehand, and Yayoi's proposition was not entirely out of the question. Back when Yalta's original College division was up, command was disorganized and students were incompetent, leading to several cases of lost tanks. Additionally, unwanted vehicles or ones purposed more for training had also occasionally gone missing, having been dumped or merely stuck and forgotten about due to the expendable cost. The council however had suspicions that these vehicles perhaps would still be around, and that the individuals present here would be able to find them. The council themselves were too small to search the whole area and community service was (at the moment) too busy to aid in this due to prior scheduling with the High School Tankery team, so this would have to do. Everyone in the council would glance towards the blonde as she would speak, hoping that what she was going to say would be exactly what they were thinking. Raising a finger, the Student President began to speak.

"Yo, you know we can mostly just ignore the urban areas which make up most the ship, right? We have the documents, dozens of tanks were lost or misplaced around school grounds, so it shouldn't take too long to find 'em. Besides, most of 'em are on the training area directly to our west. Granted it's kinda' big and there might be a tank or two stuck in the mountainous areas, but whatever. If you girls feel like it, then you can try and explore somewhere else, but community service has all their days booked out with the High School division and we can't call 'em in until next month, so we'll need your participation here."

Crossing her arms, Gyeong-Suk would speak as well, nodding her head once. She knew that students likely would brush past minor details, but the slightest tinge of metal could easily lead to a discovery worth days of searching. With this in mind, the more laid-back girl would speak as well, slightly leaning backwards but not enough to cause her to fall.*

"Also, when you search for tanks, don't gloss over small details. If you've got a gut feeling, follow it. If you have an idea which comes into your head suddenly, explore it. Scans haven't shown anything besides used casings but the likelihood is very high that many armored vehicles were obscured by the trees, bushes, overhead ground, or water. Though it shouldn't take us more than a week to find a tank in there, I still want to take no chances."

Yeong would then seem to pipe up as she remembered something, immediately sprinting to one side of the warehouse and pulling behind her a massive crate as Gyeong-Suk would go on for a bit. Heaving and huffing, she'd set it down as soon as the other would stop talking. It was rather large-- even though the crate was on wheels it seemed fairly heavy as the wooden box looked more like a miniature cargo container. Still having her eyes jammed shut and her breath heavy, Mi-Suk would just stare with confusion at the girl, before her eyes also went wide, realizing what they were. However, before the tall girl could speak, Yeong straightened out and began to talk quite loudly, probably due to shortness of breath.

"ALSO...! In order to communicate far more efficiently... The... Student..."

The girl would breathe in deeply. Seems she wasn't the physical type.

"...The Student council has prepared a bunch o' goodies for you guys. These will be helpful both on the field and while you're searching for tanks! We need a way to communicate, and we know for sure that phone batteries might die within the day when you guys make a critical find, so just to be safe, we've acquired..."

The blue-haired girl would heave as she pushed off the lid, though Mi-Suk would just grab it and set it down on the floor, causing Yeong to look up at the girl and narrow her eyes as if to say 'I had that'. Mi-Suk would simply giggle in response as the blue-haired girl gestured to the now-opened crate with a grin, as things would spill out of both containers.

"...These!"

Inside were a lot of two items, this 'large crate' seemingly being two separated ones. Nonetheless, on one side lay a large amount of black rectangles made of polymer with little cylindrical cubes poking out of the top. They resembled walkie-talkies that children used, though seemed far more harsh and militaristic in nature. The Student Council had to pull a few favors to get these, but they figured with the secure non-tappable frequencies they'd also be useful for combat purposes-- these being tried and tested mil-spec Radios from the conflicts of the early 21st century such as the Middle East. Conveniently, they all had colorful labels for every button and dial saying what they did, mostly because the council didn't want to spend 30 minutes teaching everyone how Radios worked. In either case, the other container had something a little less typical. Hand-sized metallic containers of two different colors, red or white. These came in far more numbers than the aforementioned radios. On them, colored text marked in white and red respectively: 'SMOKE' gave away their purpose. Smoke grenades, which the Student Council also had to pull some favors for. Lots of clanging and clattering would occur as these two goods would pile out of the crate, which caused Mi-Suk to flinch a bit.

"We had to pull a lot of favors to get these goodies for you girls, so use 'em carefully. Everyone gets one radio and two smoke grenades for now, of the red variety to mark whenever you find a tank. We purposely ordered a ton more in case any of you wanted to get more... Creative with 'em in combat. Nothing in the rules prohibiting handheld smoke grenades, after all!"

Clearing her throat still having held her clipboard, Mi-Suk would speak up at last, tapping the clipboard with the opposite end of her pen. She wanted to make sure that a thing was clear so that nobody was grouped up with those they didn't like. She had already seen the feud between the Russians and Americans so the timid girl made a good call in having planned this beforehand.

"Um... Also, it should go without saying that... People will go together in the groups they came in. If people start coming in here alone, they'll have to call over other people to accompany them, or we will assign them a separate group together. Understood? Noone is being separated! There's no need to worry!"

Kyeong-Kyang had been nodding throughout the entire supplemental bit being given by her fellow colleagues, thinking that this seemed like something out of a movie with the way they presented this information. Though they more or less had covered everything, the girl would place her hands on her hips, smiling at everybody else.

"If nobody has any questions, you can take the stuff we brought and begin. Otherwise, I'm more then happy to answer 'em, girls!"

"We have to find our tanks?" Ulyana said raising an eyebrow. She shrugged and threw her hands "I suppose I should not have expected anything else." Ulyana stepped forwards, picked up a radio and a couple of grenades. She walked back to her group and tossed one grenade to each of her colleagues. "Don't waste it," she snapped at Svetlana, getting right in the smaller girls face. Without another word, Ulyana began to walk towards the woods. Svetlana and Nadia looked at each other, Nadia shrugged, the two clipped their smoke grenades to their tracksuits and then jogged off to catch up with Ulyana.

["I can't believe they are making us find our own tanks,"] Svetlana grumbled as the trio walked through the trees. ["Last time I checked the tankery team was supposed to supply them."]
p"I don't like it either,"] Ulyana replied. ["But frankly I would rather like it if you shut up."]
["Excuse me?"] Svetlana stammered.
["You heard me. I think you've said quite enough for one day,"] Ulyana snapped.
["What's that supposed to mean?"] Svetlana spat back.
["It means I don't appreciate you sabotaging our chances at participating in tankery again just because you don't like the way someones face looks,"] Ulyana explained with disdain.
["Pwuh. Since when did you care about what other people thought of us, and besides it was her attitude that I disliked. Not her face"] Svetlana argued.
["I started caring when we got another chance for our dream!"] Ulyana yelled. Svetlana gulped and looked away.
["Sorry,"] is all the small girl said. Nadiya, who had been ready to intervene, breathed a sigh of relief. Ulyana took her flask out and took a swig before passing it to one of her comrades. She then took the map from her pocket and opened it up.
["I think I may know where we can find that tank," Ulyana said confidently.
["Oh?"] Nadia replied passing the flask to Svetlana.
["What is the most likely place for a tank to get stuck and abandoned?"] Ulyana asked, Svetlana and Nadiya shrugged. Ulyana held up the map pointing to a marshy wetland. ["a bog."]

["Ugh it stinks,"] Svetlana complained, pinching her nose. The trio of girls trudged through the swampy wetland. The girls were dressed in their tracksuits and swamping boots. ["Common, at least give me a gas mask too?"] Ulyana had given herself and Nadiya gasmasks from a surplus collection she had acquired when she was younger.
["Nope,"] Ulyana's muffled voice lacked sympathy. ["I told you this is your punishment for your earlier behavior."] Not wanting to argue Svetlana merely folded her arms across her chest and pouted. The trio walked on in silence a bit longer.
["Anyone see anything yet?"] Ulyana asked.
["How could I see anything when the stink of this place is making my eyes water,"] Svetlana complained again, though clearly exaggerating. Knowing full well that her friend was exaggerating her plight, but tired of her complaining, Ulyana rolled her eyes, reached into a bag, and tossed the girl a gas mask. ["Thank you, thank you, thank you,"] Svetlana screamed with joy as she placed the gas mask on her face. ["ueh!"] she exclaimed. ["It smells almost as bad in here as out there."]
["What did you expect,"] Nadiya laughed. ["Lavender?"] Ulyana joined Nadiya in mocking Svetlana who simply went quite. The trio continued to make there way through the wetlands finally emerging along a river having found nothing.
["Well that was a waste,"] Svetlana said removing her gas mask. ["I'm never gonna get the smell out of these clothes, and we didn't even find a tank."]
["Sorry,"] Ulyana replied. ["I really thought we would find a tank in there. I guess we should head back, get changed, and go look somewhere else."]
["Uh,"] Nadiya chimed in as she removed her gas mask. ["I'm not so sure we have to."]
["What!"] Ulyana and Svetlana yelled in excitement.
["Look,"] Ulyana pointed to the river where a small metal tube was barely sticking out the water.
["Is that a T-80 snorkel?"] Ulyana said rushing to the bank of the river.
["I do believe so."] Nadiya replied.
["Quick, Svetlana toss your smoke grenade to mark it's position,"] Ulyana ordered.
["Yes ma'am,"] Svetlana replied. She eagerly removed the pin from the smoke grenade and tossed it towards the drowned tank. Plop. The smoke canister landed in the river. Ulyana and Nadiya both face palmed as a small amount of red smoke trickled up from below the water.
["Nadiya,"] Ulyana's voiced carried disappointment.
["Yes ma'am,"] Nadiya took her own smoke grenade up hill where it began to bellow red smoke.
["And now we wait,"] Ulyana said as she sat down and pulled her flask from her pocket.
