How to expand?
Every 4 days, the map gets updated. For each expansion, one 100+ word post must be written. Then, it must be posted, along with an expansion (preferably a picture). Posts that violate the rules, or don't make sense will be voided.

Furthermore, some places are far off-limits for most civilizations, for example, America for Europeans, Africans or Asians and vice versa. No civilization may just sail over to the Americas and say that they discovered it. The same is true for every continent. There must be a good enough reason for that and it must also be approved by the administration first.

Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping is your responsibility and you must take care of it. In case you don’t, you can’t RP until you have got that covered. The administration might take a look at one’s bookkeeping every once in a while, to make sure you don’t cheat. In case cheating is detected, you get a strike. 3 strikes and you’re out.

The standard monetary unit is a ducat. You can change your official currency, but the exchange rates must comply with the money earned.

Christendom is in Danger…

Francis looked out upon the city of Rome, from the safety of his tower that stood high among all other buildings and structures. The reaper had brought death and destruction all across Christendom, and beyond, but now he felt as if a new danger lurked past its borders. What this was he wasn’t particularly sure, but what he did know was that without a protector to defend the faith and spread it further. The will of god couldn’t be spoken and the Islamic terror that had taken Egypt, Jerusalem And was slowly making its way towards the rest of Christendom stood uncontested. This couldn’t be allowed, God’s lands required defending, and he would be the one to do this task… at least for now he had to.

But, he wouldn’t have to do this forever, for he planned to resurrect the Roman Empire once more to fulfill the task of defender of the faith. He’d have to expand his own realm first, but once the time was ready he would announce that whoever could aid in the efforts of the defense of Christendom. Shall gain the honor of the emperor of Rome.

One cardinal walked into the room, as they’d approach Francis and kneel down, holding a black velvet box as he opened it up and presented the crown of the Roman emperor. Francis smiled as he took the crown, and admired it as he would look to the cardinal and say. “We shall keep this hidden from the sun, and from the eyes and ears of the people of Rome, until the time for it to be revealed shall come. God bless you, good sir…”

The cardinal nodded, as the two looked for a spot to place the crown and hide it away from the world until the time to crown an emperor came.

The Papacy Grows!

The Papal States, although weakened and now having little idea as to what happens beyond the Italian peninsula, remains strong as the small but well equipped army of the pope marches to retake lost lands. Claiming a large portion of the peninsula for themselves, a valuable position which would allow for the city of Rome to be better defended and to better influence the smaller less organized states around them.

The real prize though, was the island of Corsica off the coast near to that of Sardinia, the island’s ruler was made to join them willingly. With the exception that he still be allowed to rule over the island, and be given a great degree of autonomy, which Francis was fine with. As long as the island was under their control, for it allowed them to gain a strong grip on the Mediterranean and would even further secure the safety of Rome. For an attack from the sea would be most disastrous, something he hoped to avoid at all costs.

He himself ensured that the soldiers didn’t act in brutal action, he wished for the population to see him as a liberator. Someone who came to save them and bring them underneath the protection of Christ, therefore he didn’t spread bloodshed but the word of god and charity amongst the people. After all, they were all worshippers of God and was it not their duty to shield such worshippers?

A Sea of Blood

A man Scarred and exhausted, holds onto a great axe, with blood dripping off of it, with a slain king at his feet, decapitated. His head gone.

His name is Ter

At first when he was young, he was alone, a beast in the wild. Eventually when a tribe of Sami people saved him. Within the tribe he was a smart, if not cruel man. He wasnt great in m,any things, but his passion for the Old Gods was unmatched, and his own hatred of the Traitors that left for a false god.

When finally becoming a man, he swore to United his people and the tribes.

In which he did, with force, he slaughtered, and mained, his own presense forcing people to convert in hope to be spared. Odin was his God.

When hearing of a Christian rising, he and his band rallied to see what that meant, it was Oslo.

The Capital of the traitors.

With Fury and hate he barged in, breaking through the gates, and personally killing whoever gets in his way, and after slaying the King.

An idea formed, "If the Christians see a kingdom as holy, I shall make one that is more than any other, for my faith" In which he ordered priests, soldiers, and even advisors from his own tribe, to become. The Pagan Kingdom.

and him the Pagan King, for he has had his revenge, and he wishes to punish, rape and raid.

Ulaan, Captain of the Mongol Khanate

Gobi Khan, First Khan of the Khanate

(All posts will be 1st POV and will have characters in the title to show which perspective it is)

Some say pride commeth before the fall.

Some say that it's the little things are the things to worry about.

These are the two things that are said to destroy rulers. It came to the mighty Emperors of Ming, as we were the fall of their pride. It came to the Sultans, who refuse to bow in respect to the Mighty Khan. However, it came to the Mighty Khan, who thought himself invincible until his mighty empire stopped and the world suffered for the sin against the Gods of the Eternal Sky.

My father had told me that centuries ago we were the strongest empire in the world. That we were led by the Gods of the Eternal Sky in the way of the Khan. The Khan himself was one who led the tribes, descended upon the Chunkuk, the Song Dynasty who saw us as nothing more than raiders. We fought burned down their heathen temples to submit to the Will of the Khan. That Will was that of the Blue Sky but it was soon replaced by the Will of Man.

As our people's power grew to swallow the world, our people's hold together fractured. We brought in shamans of different men, watched as they converted our peoples away from the light of the Sky Gods. The Khan's focused on themselves, broken promises and dreams of becoming wealthy beyond approach and many wives for those who had favor in battle.

Those riches were consumed by the Khan.
Those wives bred with the Khan.
Our warriors and horses bled for Khan.

At the end, the Khan and his bloodline had stolen the power of the Wind from the gods. Because of this, the Gods stole back the wind and spread the Black Death to the world in order to punish us and our hubris. The Khan had died, his bloodline purged and tainted. It was the cleansing that sent us back to our home, to the Eternal Blue Sky of Him. It was here that we return to his bosom and to rebuild.

It was here that my father rebuilt the Khanate. He made himself the Khan of a new bloodline as a covenant to the Gods. He bound himself up in the new pact, to bring about the unification, and restoration of the Khanate. He was the one to teach me how to ride, how to travel the Holy Lands. But most importantly, how to govern.

It was I and my father who set up the tribes into more than what they were, gave them the power to elect the next rulership. It was better than having the bloodline with the hubris of men who taken control of the Khanate and steal the promises of their fellow tribes. The gods themselves blessed the wisdom of my father but also set up many tests for me and my Khanate as the gods did not want the same problems to arise again.

South into the Inner Mongol steppes have warring tribes who bide for self power and against the rising influence of the Kingdom of Manchu. They have held fast but if the Outer Mongol were to march with the equipment gained through their gouging trade deals by the Manchu, then our homeland will never be free. I don't know if the Khanate could ever be ever to get away from the powerful Manchu influence but I'm not dismayed, these are but the tests given to the Khanate by the Sky Gods and Him.

As for now, in the village of Ulaan. It is the only true city of the Steppe. If anything, the allocation and development of these lands before I command the people to fight and unite the Inner Mongol Tribes. To me, there's more than just the bow to unite the tribes, diplomacy and commerce are more important to fight the growing influence of the Manchus. We need both coin and horsemen to become the Khanate that we once were, that we still can underneath the Great Blue Sky.

The mighty Thames

Edward was looking onto the city of London. The city had grown under the hand of his father, George. George had managed to unite the people living in the northern part of London, but the southern half remained independent. The largest obstacle was the Thames river. The tribes on the other side had burned the bridges, and they guarded the other bank. George had tried crossing the river thrice. One time, they went over the bridges but they were repelled. The second time, when the bridges had been burnt down, they tried crossing by boat, which horribly failed. The third time failed even more horribly. His father had died recently. The kingdom was left to him.

He was standing before the Thames, with the tribes standing on the other side. He then took out his ships, and put them in the water. The troops got onto those boats and started going to the other side. The tribes realised what was happening. They shot many arrows, hoping to kill Edward's troops. It wasn't successful. They landed on the other side and they battled. The tribes lost. By a lot. Edward pushed even more south, since his goal was to unite the British Isles.

He had reached the English channel. His troops rested. Edward had done, what his father couldn't. Conquer London.

Corsica of the Papal States

When the kingdom of Corsica bended to the Pope’s rule and accepted to join as another part of the papacy, he was allowed a great degree of autonomy and was free to rule over the island. As long as he swore loyalty to Pope Francis in Rome, in which the king of course did, for it allowed for him to stay safe from outside dangers as well as the possible threat of the pope himself.

Furthermore, his armies became apart of the papacy’s forces, which were now growing great in number. The king wasn’t angry about this, for he knew that he was now a key part in the defense of Christendom. While the threat they were fighting against was still widely unknown, what he did know was that someone had to defend God’s sacred lands. Someone had to keep the Turkish invaders who worshipped a god that was not true nor just, he’d help to contribute to this cause with all he could. For the defense of Christendom, the armies of the papacy would grow ever bigger and ever stronger, they shall hold.

The Illumination and Emergence of Silverblood City

The corpses had piled higher than anyone dared to imagine as the rank and file of every class of citizen was put to the torch in the forums of what was once Prague in the Kingdom of Bohemia. At that very moment the survivors walled themselves in from the outside world in the vain hope of deliverance....of any form. For weeks, the denizens went raving mad trying to re-piece their lives together and to attempt some semblance of normalcy. For they had always known death before and were in general numb to the occasional slay of a dozen individuals, but to amass the extent worthy of divine wrath can only be....damaging.

In a twisted humor of the stars, it seemed that the city's granary was bursting and untouched even by the rats. This was perhaps due to the stray cats and dogs in the quarter that weren't capable of eating the grain. This meant even more food to go around for the now much lower population of the city. Eventually, the people just began to close themselves inside their own homes with no desire to others...until one day. One day the hammers began to beat on the anvils.

A lone craftsmen was finishing his work.

Several statues of silver had been erected near the church to honor those long since passed with the help of an artist that held the patronage of the church. People began to gather and admire the statues to cry, to feel, and to remember once again the beauty of the world despite the ugliness surrounding them. Feeling freer than before the people busied themselves with recreating their city to be a beacon of beauty ever lasting.

That is until the food started to get low. Even the denizens of the sewers seemed to lose their numerous tails after a time. One thing led to another and eventually a circle of families successfully conspired to take control of the food and bring everyone under their heel. Yet despite this new state of affairs the denizens continued on with their lives and some even volunteered to become the new city guards that was interested in civil order and perhaps a few extra rations to bring home.

When the gates finally opened, what emerged was the guard of every ruling household of the city in one grand gesture of dominance as the surrounding farmsteads and villages were reclaimed. One interesting discovery were the hapless remains of scattered communities that quickly were willing to partake in the richness of the city. Hungry for wealth the houses clearly wanted more and the inhabitants were more hungry for wondrous expressions of beauty, but since that requires wealth as well the citizens were easily aligned in purpose.

So forth comes the representatives of Silverblood City...

Thou Shall Not Halt

The armies of the papacy march further into Italy, claiming new land and expanding Francis’s direct influence in a more secular matter. The army didn’t always act in violent matter, in fact more often than not they were welcomed into the small depopulated crippled towns and cities. The people seeing them as protectors, this message only continued to grow when the army aided the people with clearing out bandits and raiders. Along with supplying them, with food and water, some had gone days without either.

Just off the coast of Italy though, on the island south of Corsica was the island of Sardinia. Which had fallen completely into anarchy and chaos, without any central government or legislation to keep the peace. When the armies of the papacy moved in though, things changed rapidly as they’d snuff out the local raiders and restored order on the island. Adding Sardinia into the Papal States, although it would have a Bishop installed as the king of the island, who would rule in the name of the Pope in Rome.

Milan, ally of the Papacy

While the papacy grew ever larger, it eventually came in contact with the kingdom of Milan. Which took up most of southern Italy, naturally as they were Catholic, Milan and the Papal States were able to establish good relations. Trade between the two occurring often and regularly, although the state of Milan has proved to be rather weak and poor…. This making them a rather unhelpful ally in the event of a war, Milan barely being able to sustain a large army. Therefore, Pope Francis offered the kingdom protection from the Papal States in exchange for not expanding further southward and paying a small amount of tribute which was only a quarter for the costs to maintain an army the size of the Papal States.

They’d eventually agree to this deal after some negotiations, and Milan would be established as a friendly independent state north of the Papacy. Although, Francis saw beyond the religious view and gazed upon Milan in a more secular matter, he knew very well that the state was fragile and could possibly collapse into civil war and rebellion. They served little purpose as an ally, although they could possibly unite with the Papacy one day, if this was done then they could perhaps take all of Italy for themselves.

Expansion to the west

Edward now marched his armies to the west. He encountered the fort of Brighton. Its people had built the city large and strong. Edward surrounded the city and commanded the catapults to fire. They did. The walls stood up. Edward ordered the troops to load the catapults. As they did that, the northern gate of Brighton opened. Enemy troops flooded out, with cavalry being in the lead. Edward’s troops fought them and almost got surrounded. Edward ordered them to retreat and the longbows to start shooting. Under a constant rain of arrows, the cavalry of Brighton charged at the longbows, hoping to reach them before much damage was done.

The longbows continuously shot at the cavalry. The cavalry didn’t give up, though. But they couldn’t continue for long, as not many of them were left. They retreated behind the walls of Brighton. Then, a gigantic boulder from a catapult broke the walls. Troops flooded in, as they burned Brighton and sold the survivors as slaves.
