Yep! I can also change the Croatian border/remove Croatia, depending on what you have in mind.

History - Kingdom of Italy was formed in 1861 upon unification by King Victor Emmanuel II and the Count of Cavour. Italy later invaded the Vatican in 1871, only to later restore it's independence in 1929, and attempted to subjugate Ethiopia in 1896, but to no avail. In 1910, Italy, North Germany, the Ottoman Empire and the UK waged war on France, Austria, Russia, Serbia, Romania and South Germany. The war ended in 1914 with victory for Italy and it's allies. Italy had almost achieved all of it's wartime goals and it's popularity just soared. As Russo-French pressure destroyed the Ottoman Empire, Italy gained control of the Levant.

Italy was among the European countries recognizing the Japanese occuption of both Chinese concessions and Southeast Asia. In 1922, Benito Mussolini and his fascist government took control of Italy, bringing some strict rules and effective reforms, as well as effectively controlling Libya, Ethiopia and Somalia with an iron fist. Italy also aided other European countries in their war against Japan during the 1940s, supplying their forces with weapons, tanks, aircrafts and other military equipment, as well as financial support. In 1950, Italy became one of the countries that developed and maintained nuclear weapons. However, Italy and other countries were forced to reduce their nukes as a result of global panic over nuclear holocaust.

In 1952, Benito Mussolini and his fascist government was overthrown by the Italian military as a result of rumors that the fascists planned to start a nuclear war and take full control of Africa, Europa and the Middle East. The military ruled until elections were held in 1953. With the election of a new democratic government that year, Libya, Somalia and Ethiopia were given independence from Italian rule as a result of the new government being anti-colonialist. Therefore, Italy, Libya, Ethiopia and Somalia set up a special friendship, leading Italy to develop it's own sphere of influence.

The year is now 1990 and Italy is still in need of completing it's goals.

I've got another question :p

Will there be things such as world events that the players will need to take into consideration and respond to? I'm thinking of things like terror attacks, price drop/increase of commodity in international trade etc.

With Che in charge he ensured both a standing portion of an army and a guerrilla portion of an army. Currency - Officially Ecuadorian Peso, Most commonly the Brazilian Real
Major import/export partners -
Rio Pact Members, Golden Circle Members, and the Soviet Union

Major Domestic Issues - Anti-communist forces such as integralists, catholics, and democratic, underdeveloped infrastructure, agricultural based economy
Major Foreign Issues - Communist in the midst of integralists, Brazilian interference, Political isolation

History -

Unlike most nations in South America that accepted the call of Integralism, Ecuador being secluded to the north west was untouched by its call and continued on with its democracy with small amounts of integralist parties coming forth then dying out the following elections. She weathered their rise in the 1880s and weathered the chaos that was the Great War. Along with the war against Japan, but it was after this time in which the political situation started to change heavily. With Brazil slowly expanding its influence throughout South America, the country saw itself as a target for its gains.

With the foreign situation no longer allowing Ecuador to simply stay neutral like the parties of old promised, this led to those who only had the answers. The left, being the communists who believes that the Marxist ideals can save the nation and aligning closer with the Soviet Union would save them from destruction and repulse the expansion of Brazilian Integralism. The other, being the right. Believing that only Integralism can save them now, that joining with Brazil will let them keep their independence and grow in the light of Brazilian economic boom. Both declaring to be puppets of those they support, but only one could possibly take the stage. Which would come by a single man, in 1956.

Che Guevara, Communist revolutionary who failed to lead his communist revolution with Castro under the Agremonte Administration. He fled the nation while the fate of his comrades were unknown. He would flee south to Bolivia but find the nation not ready for such kind of revolution, due to both the political influence of the Integralist Brazil and the people's acceptance of the ideology. He would continue traveling and staying in nations, learning of the people to find the one ready for his revolution. It would come after three years where he would enter and learn in Ecuador. The people were divided and he knew then, the nation was ready to rise up in revolution against the status quo. He would form the Ecuadorian Liberation Army (Ejército de Liberación de Ecuador or ELA) with fellow communist revolutionaries.

For several years a struggle in both the political scene and societal scene would be waged. The communists would rise to obtain several seats in the National Assembly, gaining more than the Integralist. Only to suffer attacks by Integralist Militias. When the same happened to the Integralist, gaining ahead of the communists, they were taken to horror by Communist reprisals. It led to what many would call a civil war, but both sides agreed full armed conflict would ruin the nation. So a shadow war was the term coined for the war in Ecuador, where on the surface only political battles could be made public. While physical ones were waged by each party's armed wing. While this saved many lives, it only prolonged the conflict to the point of it being an every day occurrence. Slowly removing the traditional democratic parties from their pedestals, left the only two parties who mattered. The Communist Party of Ecuador and the Ecuadorian Integral Party.

Finally, in 1982 the shift finally turned in the communists favor. Following a raid, personally led by Che some say, the party leader of the Integralists was killed in the fighting. Suddenly losing the head they needed to lead their party that could encourage others to join them, the communists finally took the lead. Che rising to the top and declaring himself President of the now named, People's Republic of Ecuador. But with the political situation with neighboring nations and by the suggestions of close advisers, the multi-party system was kept in place. Thus keeping the Integralist party legal. Che was also forced to take a more pragmatic approach to foreign politics, being forced by his own party members to allow foreign businesses and small businesses. A policy of State Capitalism was formed where most major industries, that weren't Brazilian, were nationalized. Land reform quickly spread as land from the wealthy was taken and given to poor farmers who would then be encouraged to form voluntary cooperatives "out of their own free will and love".

He encouraged a wide country literacy campaign that was mostly successful, he also created a state sponsored scholarship for foreign colleges and universities. So that those who learn abroad may return to Ecuador with those new skills to support the Ecuadorian economy. But all the while he expressed the wish to make a more egalitarian nation, encouraging the people to see each other as equals. Creating state sponsored women's groups, youth leagues, and community centers. While he also wished to enforce more atheist policies, many of his communists were still heavily christian. So was forced to settle with secularism and dis-encouragement. Which only proved to make Che stressed and annoyed, everyone that was on his side were reformists and everyone against him were those that wish to see the end of his revolution. Only a small group stood with him on the policies and he was a fox in the middle of a pack of wolves, where he sees his only hope out to be the Soviet Union. But he fears, that he won't be able to stop the Integralist wave from Brazil, and only become another memory in history.

There we go and yes, I know that isn't Che. But it's as close as I can get. BUT HEY LOOK! ITS CHE!! FEAR ME!!

Well I was hoping that we may continue of the idea that Che lead the revolution in Ecuador, as we have talked on the discord in the CN. Ecuador is still in your faction and is still participating heavily, at least internally less about spreading integralist and the integs are the second largest party that is slowly catching up on the Communist. Which even then said communists are reformists who wish to try and compromise with the Integralist to maintain what they have while Guevara groans eternally at what they had done to his glorious revolution.

Edit: Also, I doubt Ecuador is going to be a big impact either way.

Italy is accepted, and as a note, the blue gray thing is Liberia, an American satellite. (The colonial map is a lot older than the current map, but save for a few minor differences, canon.)

I like the Ecuadorian app, so as a minor nation, I am fine with some stretching. We could always have a crisis ICly over their unique status. The should answer your question, Hungary, as we’re using an events system similar to the RP called 2024.

Oh, good grief.
For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.
