Posted a new map for the Democratic primary and postponing the convention until Saturday. The primaries will take place that day and the convention will begin as well.

When my next post comes out, be ready to make New York and Connecticut learning Wilson’s way as well! (Maybe some of the other New England States as well)

I hope you realize that this was taken out of one of Wilson’s own real life campaign speeches. Oh well...

Not necessarily, I used that speech and make a couple changes, but it’s fairlh similar. It’s just so we can see some of his political views.

For that speech, yes. Just to get some of his political views to show.

Please try to avoid copy-pasting straight from people's works. Paraphrase, summarize, use your own words. Also, I think Valtrona said something about getting the endorsement of Simeon Baldwin. IRL, Baldwin was a favorite son at the convention and probably would not have endorsed. You can still talk with Baldwin, but not get his endorsement.

First of all, it’s Wilson’s own speech. I’m not copying someone’s work and not citing it. I’m using Wilson’s own speech and making him say it himself, so I’m giving him credit. I wouldn’t purposefully copy and paste, but this isn’t plagiarizing. Also, I’ll clarify that I wanted to promise Baldwin a political office upon Wilson’s presidency. Sorry for that, but the endorsement stays. I’ll edit the post in a couple hours or so.

Also, if we’re calling out some mistakes, why is a Missouri Senator meeting a Republican in Mississippi? Please clarify.

So why would they go to different States just to meet and/or campaign for someone when they could just meet when they come to that State? A Missouri Senator in Jackson, Mississippi just seems like a waste of time just for a campaign. A primary campaign at that. Also, if you’re going to act this way, at least get your grammar right.

You got criticized for plagiarism and then tried to turn it on me, so if we are going to talk about acting a certain way we should start there.

First of all, I cited the speech (considering it’s Wilson’s own speech). Secondly, I typed an section of your original campaign speech, and it pulled up a “suspicious” website with this words on it. Thirdly, it’s not like you treated it with any dignity, using the words “mental” in your reporters excerpt.

Yea because your speech referenced a party that didn't exist, if Beto O'Rourke started talking about the "Beaver Dam Party" people would ask him what the hell he was talking about.

Alrighty then, I’ll edit it out. How would you like it if I said “That idiot Roosevelt thinks he even can be competitive in the South? Looks like he’s too big for his head. What a morron!”
Still doesn’t give you a right to, in the IC, basically bash me. I also ask you to edit your post on the Missouri Senator in Mississippi, and actually look at a US States map. Then tell me I’m mental.

Both of you, knock it off. Sniping at each other on the thread doesn’t make things better. Focus on your campaigns. Being competitive is good, but don’t take it too far.

Couple things: Valtrona, according to the rules of the thread and the site, I control both NPCs and the sim as a whole. You may speak with Baldwin, but do not have him endorse you. Secondly, why I would like you not to copy and paste is that these RPs ought to require some effort and thought. If you just copy the candidates’ own words, it requires basically no effort and cheapens the experience of people who actually do write their own speeches. This goes for all players, not just you.

Dentali, it does make less sense for a character from Missouri or other states to travel to different states to meet with a candidate rather than in their own state. Please limit to in-state characters. It would also have been inappropriate for Roosevelt to say anything about Wilson’s “mental state.” Still somewhat the era of civility. Please strike that.

Okay editing posts after the fact to get rid of a screw up and then criticizing people for calling you on on something you did and then deleted is a big no in RP in general. I'd like to call BS.
