The Tyranny of the Sun
An Elder Scrolls Tale

"Among the night's children, a dread lord will rise. In an age of strife, when dragons return to the realm of men, darkness will mingle with light and the night and day will be as one."
―Dexion Evicus

It was a bright day in Solitude. The town was minding its own business. The bustling market was full of men and mer and the nobility were busy talking about the latest rumors. Then suddenly out of nowhere the sun turned dark. The burning flames of the star that shined before Tamriel was eclipsed by something dark, something sinister. At the gates of the city an injured man wearing tattered clothes ran and shouted

"The Dragonborn is dead!"

Soon, nightmarish creatures- harbingers of blood and death descended upon the capital of Skyrim. The vampires, now in their full power, overwhelmed the city guard. The entire city of Solitude was flooded by blood. Corpses were being sucked dry as they fell to the ground and the citizens fought back against the vampires only to face certain doom. General Tullius and Legate Rikke mounted a last stand at the Blue Palace only to be butchered by Lord Harkon and his host of monstrosities. Soon, the vampires spread, making more of their own kind as they swept through Skyrim. Soon, most of the holds fell- Whiterun, Markarth, Winterhold all the way until Falkreath, Riften and the great hold of Windhelm remained. The Thalmor was forced to sign an uneasy agreement with the Empire to send aid as majority of the Thalmor contingent in Skyrim was either dead or turned into vampires. while Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak was forced to retreat from Riften and consolidate his forces in the defense of Windhelm.

Two years later, most of Skyrim had been overrun by Lord Harkon and his host of vampires. The humans and the vampires have fought to a bloody stalemate. You are a soldier, an adventurer, a vampire, a priest, a hunter or a hero entering skyrim for whatever reasons. Will you fight with Lord Harkon and his host? Or perhaps would you fight for the Empire alongside the Thalmor to restore Skyrim? Or will you stand by Jarl Ulfric and help him amid the two-year siege of Windhelm?

Class:Warrior
Bio: Yustav was born and raised in Solitude. His parents were merchants, so he traveled a lot as a kid. He learned the rules of business from his parents but was never really interested. He wanted to be a warrior and gain fame and fortune for his family. Yustav’s family was relatively wealthy. Staying out of squalor and poverty while affording a few luxuries.

This all changed when his parents were wrongfully involved in a scandal. They were exiled from Solitude along with Yustav. All of his friends and belongings were stolen from him in an instant with only the clothes on his back left. His family moved to Windhelm to seek solitude. The lord welcomed them and granted them safety. Ever since his family has swore loyalty to the lords of Windhelm. His parents were forced to seek other occupations as no other city in Skyrim would welcome them. They become lowly fishers but it provided them enough wealth to get by.

Ever since the incident at Solitude Yustav has held a grudge against the Imperials and their faraway Emperor. This rage strengthened his will to become a soldier. Once his education was complete he was hellbent on becoming a warrior. He took on odd jobs as a mercenary and bodyguard until even the lord of Windhelm took notice of his reputation. The lord of Windhelm took on Yustav as a guard and he has served since.

When he laid eyes upon the darkened world created by the tyranny of the sun instead of panic he was awed by its deadly magnificent. Yet it was only a fleeting moment and soon that awe would be nothing but fear rooted in this newfound darkness. Despair plagued his mind, but he knew he needed to fight. He grasped his axe and continued on.

Now two years later the fight continues. He serves Lord Ulfric dutifully even through these dreaded times. He is unsure of the future but he is sure of one thing; he must continue this fight even if it may seem futile.
