Caoirigh go Brách!

September 12, Leersog, 5 miles north of Salacona

"Shipments of the new PPD-26 and DLMG due to arrive in Talinningrad around Sept. 14," the paper in his slightly shaking hand stated, "Will arrive at your projected positions a day after at worst.". Well, that was a good thing, these old guns were obsolete by now, about time they got some fresh shit. What was fresh but wasn't like shit, was this snow their truck was powering through. "Where'd all this snow come from sir? Didn't get these from the weather reports." a soldier, Sergeant Albrikt Fleming asked while peeking his face out from the back. Sheridan looked at him with an amused expression, "Should expect the unexpected Sergeant Fleming," he replied as the truck began begun trudging through waist high snow, "And surprise snowfall shouldn't surprise you, we dealt with way worse back in the War.". Indeed, those snows were the saving grace that they needed to beat the Arenginians at the Battle of the Bog, ah, their faces when they lost, very pleasing to watch. "C'mon lads, let's get a crack on," he told his men as the truck left the waist high snow, "We've gotta get to Syrissa and secure it.". The driver would beep the vehicle twice in agreement.

"Got a bad feeling 'bout the road ahead..." a soldier had muttered, and the First Lieutenant couldn't help but feel the same way, that today would be a very, very long day. Shame, the rest of his company didn't share that, Salacona had left them an optimistic bunch. Oh well, no resistance as of yet. Until 9:00 AM rolled around.

The truck stopped, and there seemed to be a commotion. He had stepped out with two of his men to see what had occurred at the front of the truck column, and a quick gander showed that some common native citizens had stopped the column. "That's strange, what business would they have with us?" Corporal Jansen had wondered out loud, "Sure hope they aren't codding us.". The three were walking to the head of the line until gunshots were heard. "Gods an ambush!" Sheridan yelled out, and he rushed back to his group of trucks and banged on them with his hand, "Alright lads! WEAPONS FREE!". And so men rushed out from the backs of the trucks with weapons ready. It appeared that there were both men at the column's front and back, as muzzle flashes began appearing from the wooded areas that they barely just left. Their guns then began returning fire, while two squads began to slowly flank.

It took a while, but at the expense of a whole fireteam, the people behind the ambush were either dead or captured, and gods help those captured. "Right lads, lets give these fools a taste of what the Arenginians felt back in the War, aye?" A tired and angered Sheridan Maugham said to his men, who replied with ayes of their own. Those innocents who were condemned alongside the guilty back in Shishiri, those folks he could pity, but these people? There was no pity to spare, they were helping them out and this was what they gave in return.

He came upon one of the perpetrators, and he smirked, "Haven't done this in a while," he thought to himself as he kicked the kneeling man in the gut, "Gonna be fun, aye.". Another one to the gut, followed up with a knife to the ribs from the back. "Right'o, let's see how well you bleed.". Already were screams flowing from the men as they were stabbed and skinned, and sometimes a mixture of both. They wounded them only to the edge of death, oh no, this was not the end of it, oh no no no. Poorly made nooses were raised in the trees, and from these they were hanged, and they did not snap their necks, oh no, asphyxiation was the aim of these. A painful death was the aim of these.

The truck column left.
"Well done pork" the signs resting upon their necks said.
-----
Hours later

"GODS FUCKING DAMMIT! PUT SOME SUPPRESSING FIRE ON THAT GUNNER!" Bellowed out First Lieutenant Sheridan Maugham as a bullet once more grazed his helmet, this time however, they were pinned down behind a wall of what seemed to be a bank, said bank was in ruins. What was expected as a quick rest in Syrissa just like Salacona quickly turned into a bloodbath for both sides. His company had been split into multiple platoons scattered throughout the city, and he had pulled a short straw and was with the weakest one. "Stiff resistance fiercer than those in the mountains here!" Yelled a private as he sprayed towards the general area where the bullets were coming round these parts it seemed. "Och, fucking Sirvanskans!". It seemed like that their suppressing fire wasn't working, until they had thrown two grenades at the enemy's position and combined it with more suppressing fire. The gunfire from the other side faltered, and Sheridan saw his opening.

"Right lads, FORWARD!" he screamed as he led the charge of the platoon, "Caoirigh go Brách!". And with that, the whole platoon had charged forward. The machine gunner was preparing to spray lead at them again, but now there was no distance between them and the group of soldiers. And in the resulting melee, the position was taken. But- Gods damn! "There's more of them in the buildings!" Screamed the same private from earlier, and they once more scurried to whatever cover they could find. Except for poor old Private Erin. "Ack! I'm h-" another shot at his back "AH!". Then the Maxims fired fully, ripping apart the private into bloody ribbons.

Sheridan blinked as he laid down behind an alley, then he blinked once more. He inched backwards before letting his head rest on a nearby wall. "C'mon man, breath..." He calmed himself as he readied his rifle. "SUPPRESSING FIRE!" He shouted out, he would need those machine gunners pinned down so he could take them out. "Alright..." he whispered to himself and aimed the barrel of his rifle. A gunner had spotted him aiming and trained his machine gun at him, but Maugham proved to be the better shot than the gunnery boy. A bullet right through the neck. Unfortunately, the enemy had died in a way that he slumped against the gun, which was aimed on him, and the body was able to push the trigger. Bullet fire fell upon the Lieutenant, and he waited for it to run out of ammunition. It wasn't long, as it was firing full auto, without stopping.

Proceeding to peek out of cover and aiming, he was able to take out three out of the six currently alive. Another one would be taken out by suppressing fire, and the fifth was taken care of by another rifleman. The sixth in that building was then focused upon. "A chicken this one lads!" Sheridan yelled as the enemy stopped firing, he had fled. The remnants of the platoon then rushed into the building, guns ready to blaze, but there seemed to be nobody home, except one person. He had a white flag being waved, but his other hand...

"Sir, he's surrendering!" Yelled a sergeant at him, but he paid him no heed, he just raised his gun and fired.

"A grenade." Was all he simply said as the offending instrument of war rolled out of the hand of the fresh corpse on the floor. The northern section of the city had been secured.

The Nation's Flag
The Confederacy of the Solomon Islands

The archipelago of the Confederacy heard news from abroad. The headlines of newspapers nationwide were the same thing, all reported and promised a story on nothing but the conquest of Sirvanska and people were eating it daily. The civilian populace weren't the only ones that were reading the papers daily as government employees, from the lowest of clerks to the Great Leader, Alberto Aneñyo himself found his mornings to be filled by reading the news of what's happening.

Because of this, furious debates have been thrown left and right in Unity Hall, the most important of all government buildings, to see it thrown into chaos by internal infighting wasn't anything new if not, it was the norm each and everyday, so much so that the representatives and officials that were commonly seen in the the very building alone was used to it and ironically feared friendliness knowing that they may be scheming something, but today, voices were raised and violence were threatened to one another, and yet this was their way of showing unity.

"We must focus our production line to the defense of the Confederacy!" One representative shouted as others cheered and jeered his suggestion, "We already have the Anti-Air defense guns, the cannons, the ships, the soldiers, the equipment! If we mass produced all of them twice than what we have now, then no one would dare try to invade us."

"Who shall guarantee that?" Another questioned and the same reaction passed down unto him, "What if the nations that wish to conquer us with far more technologically advance weapons? We just wasted millions if not billions of dollars for equipment that wouldn't even make a dent!

"Our navy that we so love would only be scrap metal for our new conquerors if we do that!" The rounded room erupted once more with shouts at all sides and nobody was exactly sure who's saying what as select hearing was the only type of hearing that was possible.

"Then let us get our scientist to beat the competition, create weapons so advanced that the moment the enemy sees them, they wouldn't even know how to fight our own!"

"How should we do that if we don't even know the weaknesses of their technology? And what if there is a spy in R&D? Surely even the smog of the factories in Vulcan can even hide a rat!"

At the center of the room was a round platform with a podium and railings as well as a bell that hung from one side, here is where Alberto Aneñyo in his olive drab general's uniform sat. As he turned his head from what side to another, and another, he had enough. The bell was rung until it eventually ate away the infighting of the men and all of their attention was focused unto him. When the room was dead silent, he began talking.

"Enough with all of this talk of war," he began and the room stayed silent, "it's like all of you are expert of it, to sound like you are to be be undefeated like the leaders of old, the heroes of our colonial masters, and the inventors of great machines of war themselves!

"You speak as such as if we could conquer the world and yet we are stuck fearing for our lives, hoping that nobody would dare harm us. I tell you the truth, and the fool who would dare say otherwise has clearly been dreaming of being in his own regal paradise, to rule over a throne on which not even the Father in heaven could challenge him!

"Damnable are many of you, we cannot afford war and we shall not declare our own wars, peace is the way for us and our factories, not just that of Vulcan, says as much. We are traders, we are farmers, we are factory workers and the idea we shall mobilize hundred of our own young men for the satisfaction of a few, and the fervor of the many, to fight and die to a brawl that our entire existence at stake is suicide!"

A representative stood up from the crowd and every head turned towards him.

"And what do you suggest that we do, to preserve our existence if we cannot war?" The attention was diverted back to the Great Leader, anticipating and wondering as to their next course.

"Peace with our neighbors." Then the rumbling began before the bell rung once more, "Look at South of us, the Warglorian Reich sits patiently, wondering who could their next meal be with the Empire of Aclusia and to its east, Imperial of Norcourt, the latter is in an alliance with the Confederacy of North States who themselves are allied with Wargloria.

"If we wish to preserve ourselves, we must ask to join into their alliance and see if they are willing to ally themselves with us."

"But they themselves are war!" A representative rebuked him, "If we join in now, we will be pulled into this war that we do not care for."

"I am fully aware of that Mr. Humpman, and frankly, we have no choice. The factories of Vulcan themselves are bored and has no idea what to produce but the same old weapons and uniforms that we barely use and I thought that we would impress them with the hearth of the furnace."

As he finished some complained, others pondered clearly thinking their situation over. Alberto Aneñyo shook his head in dismay and then looked at the men the people have chosen to entrust.

"Because of that I have already sent an emissary to the CSN and four guards for him. The very emissary I sent is a local of Agnus abyssi-" boos and jeers cut him off and the bell once again rung to grab their attention, "the CSN in itself is similar to the worship of whatever being those, those... People, believe in. It seems to me that it would get their attention to use them as representatives."

"And where is this emissary now, Great Leader?"

"He should be at their capital of Rlyeh by now."

R'yeh, Palas Fomalhaut

The emissary was in front of the palace. The lanky young man was carrying a suitcase with him containing an important letter, those that the Great Leader provided as well as a few others that he questioned to assist him.

The collar of his bright stripped two piece suit covered his neck and most importantly, the flabs of what seemed like fat that latched unto his neck like gills as his emerald eyes splendored themselves at the palace and gulped before approaching the entrance. He was stopped by a guard and asked for his business before replying:

"I come as an emissary from the Confederacy of Solomon Islands," he said as he gestured towards his briefcase, "if I may, I wish to have an audience to whom that may be concerned."

The guard took a glance at him before being let in, another gulp was swallowed and the young man was escorted for an audience with Emperor Lothar mn Suesani.

A Fateful Year

Rannoria
It has been done. After many days, years, and decades, Rannoria has fallen. Not to enemy hands, no, but to itself. Although they could be considered the enemies of the state, the fall of Rannoria has been perpetrated and achieved by Rannorian hands and work. Although many things were the cause of Rannoria's fall, one thing (or rather one man) has been the catalyst of it all: Grand Vail Adance.

Vail's main priority was to make Rannoria great again. His goal was to make Rannoria strong, powerful, and relevant. Only two decades ago was Rannoria one of the most influential nations in the world. Now it is nothing. Vail had much to live up to, being the son of one of Rannoria's most successful leaders, and initially he had much promise. Being a veteran from the war who lead an army against both the Western League and Henrique Havenoff, he was chosen by the people to lead Rannoria despite lacking a political background and lacking the experience in life that his opponent, Albert Arlichin, held in age and years. Initially, he did well, leading the peace talks with Wargloria and Aclus to hold a more favourable position for Rannoria than the Western League probably would regret agreeing on now. He also attended the Arenginian Ball, and was able to strike a deal with the newly-named Confederacy of Northern States, in which the mainland Afrika colony would be sold to them. Although exchange of land and money has not gone through, Grand Adance has publicly expressed that he wishes to sell the colony to the Haida. This would eventually allow for the repayment of debt that he owes to Aclus.

Where it went wrong was the implementation of an almost regulation-free economy. Although this was a good idea on paper, as it would allow for the economy to be stimulated and to allow for Rannoria to, essentially, get rich again, he seemed to have underestimated the people's outcry against this. Already, Arlichin's syndicalists were threatening to Vail's position, as his promises and his main priority to rebuild Rannoria's homes did not happen as fast as everyone thought it would. Unknown to the public, he had not focused on the people of Rannoria, but rather its industry, as much of damaged Rannoria was its heavily industrial zones. Had he focused on the people instead, Rannoria may have not ended up like this, but perhaps the people expected too much of the government. Of course, the implementation of this modification of laws along with several other acts only exacerbated the situation. Soon, the syndicalists only grew in number, and deemed themselves the "United Syndicalists of Rannoria", or "Sindikatin-e Fereni Canres". As they grew more aggressive, holding more strikes and protests, a tipping point was reached at the December Massacre of 1923, where soon, a more radical offshoot of the United Syndicalists (henceforth referred to as S.F.C) formed after a failed attempt on Adance's life. They deemed themselves the Federasi Arbeilleur, or the "Worker's Federation", and soon formed the party De Federasi Arbeilleur en de Komune-e Canres, shortened to F.A.K. Tensions were high, and until 1925, a very tense peace remained, until December, where both parties lead their most effective and final strike.

People took to the streets with whatever could be found. On the 3rd, factories were raided and taken by their workers and other citizens, allowing for ammunition and weaponry to be seized in the process. On the 4th, action took place. In a fashion akin to the December Massacre, a man under Arlichin and the leader of the F.A.K, Ekke Federik, lead an army of armed workers and citizens to Zee Prlmnt, where Adance was working. Despite the deployment of Adance's newly formed personal guard, and the deployment of the local Rannorian Security Force, gunfire rained across the ancient building, harming the capital of Rannoria, Rannkradle, for the first time in over 100 years. Makeshift bombs and other weapons of destruction were utilised in the assault, and as a result, Rannoria's most important parliamentary building was burned to the ground without a single trace. Vail's body was never found. Similar to Rannkradle, other major cities experienced the same, where symbols of the Rannorian democracy were burned down. Barracks where the Rannorian Security Forces were trained in were assaulted as well, and although some of the R.S.F joined red ranks, much of the R.S.F fought back. Soon, by 1926, Rannoria had entered into a period of civil conflict, where brother turned against brother, and where, like how it was 10 years ago in the Great War, Rannoria was a split country. Whatever remaining artillery pieces and land vehicles were found and utilised, and until February, the reds and the R.S.F fought with what they could.

Soon, though, the situation began to somewhat stabilise - for whatever stability could be in a country with no government. Tensions had formed between both red parties, and by mid-February, they had split, agreeing to cooperate in desperate times of need, but forming their own provisional governments. The R.S.F had taken this time to organise, declaring a temporary military junta in the lands under them, and promising the return of the Rannorian democracy after the F.A.K and the S.F.C had been defeated. They initiated a heavy recruitment campaign, using whatever funds to conscript and train soldiers with the veterans they had. What experience the R.S.F had, though, was made up by numbers in both red factions, and while both red parties did begin to officially train their troops, they simply did not have the military prowess that the R.S.F held. The R.S.F believed that they would succumb to an overwhelming, and both red factions believe that, in the end, the loss of life would be too much, and so in early March, all three factions met and formed a temporary council where each faction's leader held power over all Rannoria in an unstable, yet functional, government.

It has been several months since then, and August is in full swing. The peace that has held all factions together is beginning to wane, and so military exercises begin to start up again. In September's dawn, an unexpected event occurs, though. To complicate things further, a splinter faction lead by the combined might of an R.S.F leader and a red sought to see the true rise of Rannorian democracy. Through their cooperation, they believe that that is the only way a democracy can be ensured, unlike the R.S.F, who seeks to only seize power for themselves. With that development, the peace has been broken, and all (now four) factions are at war, with two reds in an unstable alliance, and two other independent factions claiming to restore democracy.

September has just begun, and all four factions have requested aid for all nations in the world to help them in their struggle against each other. The war for a Rannoria lead by a Rannorian is futile, as it will only lead to a worse situation than when Vail Adance ruled, but they will never accept a conqueror from a foreign land. Perhaps by aiding a faction, a nation is able to gain the people's trust, and when the time is right, they can seize power in Rannoria, being deemed as a saviour by some and a menace by others. Will you sit back and watch as a former great power burns, or will you stake your claim in the fall of Rannoria?
This is Rannoria, don't forget to eat your own two feet!

"Closing the deal"
Jasníeg
Szarów

The door was opened. Dressed in formal attire, an blonde-haired man sporting a panama-hat walked in. This man was none other than Count Antoni Nasariev, the Minister of the Skartenian Royal Ministry of Foreign Relations and an famous member of the nobility of Skarten, having been the Minister of Foreign Relations during the final years of the Nine Years War. He had been notified of an supposed offer from an Manticoran diplomat, coming as fast as he could. Taking off his hat and putting it in a rack, he greeted the Manticoran diplomat. "I apologize for taking time to arrive. I am here to confirm and possibly sign this offer presented by your liege, for it is under my authority to either reject or accept this deal. I know we are both busy men, and i do not wish to hold you here any longer than what is needed. Let us see this document." Receiving the papers into his hands, Antoni began to read the document, sitting in an armchair. A few minutes of silence passed as the Count went through the pages of the treaty, taking time to read each term and phrase carefully.

Getting up, Count Antoni had finally finished reading the deal. Now looking towards the Ambassador, he began to talk. "This offer will without doubt be greatly beneficial to both of our nations. It is good to see that likewise to us, Manticore does not wish to seek further hostilities." Taking out a pen from his coat's pocket, Antoni signed his name onto the deal, officially validating it. Storing his pen in his coat once again, Antoni extended his hand for an handshake with the Manticoran ambassador. It was now official, The Empire of Manticore and The Kingdom Of Skarten had entered an Non-Aggression & Non-Interference Treaty, an sign of relief for many who feared the possibility of an second Nine Years War. Perhaps, peace would at last reign between the two nations of the Eastern Ocean.

"For The People(?)"
New Skarten
City of Łiusk
1st Of October, 1926

An cold breeze entered the room as the window was opened. Returning to his armchair, the man took his seat and began to read the newspaper, going through the many news of the day. Nothing too interesting, in his opinion. Apparently, an new corporation that had been created not too much time before were releasing an new series of a short animation film which had proved to be a great success on Szarów and the mainland. The corporation in question, "Kreskówki Kartawicza", had been founded by Łucjan Kartawicz, an wealthy Skartenian that had funded many other movie ventures. It seemed that, at last, he had found his golden fountain. The short-film series detailed the adventures of Kacjut, an cartoonish brown bear. But not too much happened on the world of politics, or at the very least nothing related to the mainland.

Sadly, this was not the truth for New Skarten, the colony in which he found himself living on. Lately, an string of protests had begun to pop up in the easternmost regions of Skarten, being in their majority led by rich members of the new class of Petroleum magnates that had begun to grow on the colony of Indianum. Through their sway, they would convince many workers of their own or immigrants from Hoosier and other countries of Indianum to join their protests in support of an new ideology they had formed, which claimed for the independence of New Skarten, taking direct influence from their neighbours, the Hoosier Iron Guard, who had overthrown their King. Now, this was not to say this belief was popular. In truth, it was only prevalent across a few of the oil processing moguls and their followers, most of which had their connections to the Bieslocki, an family of entrepreneurs that lead this ideology. It went without saying that across the working classes this new doctrine was only considered sensible on the south-easternmost regions, which were under heavy influence of the Bieslocki for the last few years. But for the moment, there was nothing that could be done, as evidence proving the patronage of these protests by the Bieslocki was simply not enough to convict them, an fact which angered the man reading the newspaper.

The man in question was Teofil Tasik, governor of New Skarten. He had been appointed by the King as the direct leader of the new colony, having been an distinguished administrator on Tamir for an long ten years before this. His popularity in the province was relatively high, having overseen the construction and improvement of infrastructure on the territory of Indianum, as well as incentivized the growth of economical sectors other than the extraction and refinery of oil. He knew from his heart that those damn Bieslocki would prove to be dangerous, whether it took one month, one year, or one decade. As he continued to read the newspaper, two of his guards opened the door, clearly showing an sense of hurry. Saluting Teofil, one of them began to speak. "Governor, we have worrying news. The city of Łutszva has been seized by an insurrectionist force. They identify themselves as the Consolidationist Front, and have declared independence in the name of the "Consolidated Republic Of Jarńaw". Their leader is Ziemowit Bieslocki, from the Bieslocki Oil Corporation. They have occupied the Southeastern part of the territory, and have begun to march towards Łiusk."

And there it was. It appeared he was wrong, as only a day was needed for proof to arrive, rather than a month or a decade. The Bieslocki had, at last, shown their true colors for all to see. Their plan was not hard to guess, quickly seize the colony and ask for the help of other powers to support their independence. Regardless, it was time to act. Setting aside his newspaper, he stood up and began to talk to the guards. "I'll guess you have already notified General Dobrogost?" to which the guards nodded. "Good, that's good. Let us get going, then, there is no time to waste." Nodding once again, the three men vacated the room, off to their goal.

NEW SKARTEN
LOYALIST MILITARY CAMP, OUTSKIRTS OF NUJCA
0700/02/10/1926

Several men in military attire stood around the large table, the sound of discussion filling the tent. Sprawled across the table was an detailed map of the territory of New Skarten, showing cities, towns, villages, hamlets, railroads and other important points, as well as the geography of such places. They were officers of the Skartenian army, and more particularly, the Colonial Force of New Skarten. Tallest among them stood Dobrogost Pachucki, Generał-broni of the forces on the Indianum colony. For a moment, he remained silent, pondering on what to do. The Crown had been notified of this revolt, and reinforcements were to arrive as quickly as possible, but until then, he would have to work with the resources he had. His total forces numbered around 50 000 men, many of which had joined the service but two years ago. On the other side of the ring, there were the Consolidationists, the insurgent army. His scouts had reported an force of around 30 000 soldiers, counting partisans who decided to take up arms for this new ideology. Mercenaries, he thought to himself. Private armies were an common sight on Indianum, even more so with the recent wars that had shaken the continent. They would without a doubt make up an good part of his forces. They had been marching towards Łiusk, the colonial capital of New Skarten. This was not good, as success could attract support from other nations. Because of that, rather than waiting an defending, the current plan was to intercept the enemy before they could reach Łiusk or other important industrial centers. The question was, where?

Carefully looking throughout the map, Dobrogost searched for any possible location that could be within the eyesight of the rebels. Going from the last reports of the locations of the enemy army, he began to deduce for a few minutes, eliminating routes which he knew they would not take. At last, he found an likely route. The thing that the Consolidationists seeked above all was support and men. And if that was to happen, they would have to go through Lubucz, an large city on the southern parts of the territory. Occupying that city would not only grant them more possible recruits and bigger industrial power, it would also let them have an direct route to the capital. And thus, it was settled that the forces of the crown would make their stand at Lubucz.

To: Iron Guard Hoosier
From: The Consolidated Republic Of Jarńaw

Greetings, our eastern neighbours. We from the Consolidated Republic Of Jarńaw have, not unlike your own people, taken arms in chase of overthrowing the outdated, imperialistic government of Europeia that holds our lands prisoners. This message has been sent as both an greeting and an request. Our men march towards the enemy, and, while we are more than battle-able, it would be unwise to not acknowledge that if we are to expulse the enemy from this continent, we must further arm ourselves. Because of that, we ask that you consider the possibility of supporting our noble cause through the sale of arms and vehicles to for our forces. This is not an request for an alliance or pact that would draw your already busy men to our front, but simply an plea for aid on our crusade against our Imperialistic opressors

Signed, Provisional Chief Of State Ziemowit Bieslocki

Peace Through War,
The Battle of Syrissa

October 2nd, 1926

Image

The undeclared Norcourtian-Sirvanskan War had begun. The fighting raged on, and had been for nearly a month. In the streets, close quarter combat and snipers were common. The Sirvanskan presence in the town had decreased, since the Confederate reinforcements had arrived. Under instructions of Major DiMuttio, many of the tall buildings beside the roads were torched, and many of the smaller ones had been cleared of any Guerilla presence.

The Mayor of the town, Jean DeuFroye Beaumont, had been accused of "corruption", by both the populace, and the Elixian Legion. He was promptly executed by firing squad, and defenestrated multiple times by the anti-Sirvanskan state citizens.

Much of what was the guerilla garrison of Syrissa, had been wiped out, with a no prisoner policy being instated by Major DiMuttio. Syrissa would prove a valuable strategic point, as it would act as the key defensive point between the Sirvanskan State, and Salacona.

155,000 Norcourtian Troops, would be landing in Salacona, made up of 6 Infantry Divisions (The 6th Infantry Division, 54th Goldrushian Division, 93rd Infantry Division, 45th Infantry Division, 33rs Infantry Division, and the 35th Infantry Division.) Alongside 2 Armored Divisions (The 77th Armored Division, and the 121st Armored Division) and 500 Sicalia M.II Medium Tanks. They were to assist the 13th Elixian Legion in their push up to Hettausa. It was only the beginning...

City of Indianapolis
Fall of 1926
Late Evening Hours

Thomas sat in the passenger seat opposite of John who was in the driver's seat, Nathaniel sitting in the back. The car then started and began cruising through the street.

After a scene of awkward silence, Thomas lit another cigarette and turned to Nathaniel, "Smoke?" He asked.

Thomas then cleared his throat and got back to business. "So King Hamilton trusts you, but that doesn't mean I do, are your people ready to fight for him again?"

The car shifted once again as it turned slowly pass a parked police car with officers staring anxiously.
"Focking coppers" John whispered as he stared them down.

“Please,” Nathanial said, reaching for the cigarette. He didn’t usually smoke, but this was an unusual time. “Fight for Hamilton? No.” He said simply. “The people are scared. No loyalist fought against the IGP when they took over, everyone thinks we’re too weak. If you want people to fight, then we have to show that we can.” Nathanial clearer his throat as he went on,”So how is King Hamilton? I only briefly spoke to him during his exile. Communication had to be cut early on.”

"Show that we can" Thomas admired the mans spirit, it reminded him of the great surge of patriotism everyone was so full of at the start of the Great war, until reality hit them that the war was senseless and of no value, but here he was again in the middle of another.

"Show you can fight eh? Well you're in luck lad, his Lordship Prime Minister Chamberlain has a present for you" Thomas responded to Nathaniel as the car pulled up to a shack outside of the city limits, only small neighborhoods surrounded the place, a ghetto it seemed.

Thomas opened the door but before exiting out he turned his attention to Nathaniel for a brief second.

"And to answer your question about his majesty, he's homesick" Thomas said with a smile as he gestured Nathaniel to follow him torwards the aging house.
Walking into the house Thomas used a key to open the door slowly, inside there were 2 men sitting down both in suits and caps, Thomas waved them off and they began to head to the rooms to grab the "gifts" from Aclus.

"Your king stays in a heavily guarded manor outside London, dont worry mate he's in good hands" Thomas then pat Nathaniel on the shoulder while storage boxes were brought out and displayed to him. The men opened the crates to show a mass of SMLE rifles, Ammunition, Grenades and some Thompson sub machine guns

A larger box was brought out that took everyone's effort to do so, and when it was opened it revealed explosives such as land mines, and some Anti armor weapons.

"Compliments from the Prime Minister himself sir"

Kaapstad, Nord kaap, The Traansval
Downfall
Late 1926

The infantry advanced at a steady pace alongside one another, however spaced out as they drew near the range of the Boer front line defenses. Many of these men had seen battle in the war, and many a man was accustomed to these situations. When the Boer guns began to open up however, every man began to form up into their sections behind the advancing Armoured vehicles of Tanks and Vickers Dragons, however when the howitzers and Field artillery of the Bushmen began to rain down, not many were lucky as body parts flew with the men they were attached with as the shells defiled the green landscape surrounding the area.

"It was as if gods own anger of man rained down on the ground with hatred of our own Impurity, men flew as the shells decimated the once fertile land, bodies left littering the ground either laying still, or even worst to be in motion, screaming in agony to their mothers or fathers, not a single thought of either King nor country"
- Unknown Aclusian Soldier, 1926

As the platoons crept closer to the enemies frontal defenses, the Tanks opened up their guns and rained fire upon both pillboxes and emplacements alike, allowing the infantry to break cover and advance up the sloped hill, but as the men advanced forward, they had quickly encountered the mines placed near the barbed wire around the area. Sadly too late for many an unlucky man.

Armoured vehicles from cars to troop carriers, even tanks were sent flying to their sides or on their backs as they encountered the minefields and traps set up by the Boers, another mistake of planning from cockney Aclusian Generals.

Whistles were blown for infantry to reform and to renew their attack, Support gunners took to the flanks and gave suppressing fire as the Aclusian infantrymen sallied up the hill again with ferocity, throwing and firing grenades either by hand or by rifle. Through the fire a Aclusian lance corporal rushed a Boer pillbox with 2 mills bombs in hand, priming them he then slung them into the gun slots and jumped right out as the concrete structure shook with explosions of both bombs and the unlucky souls inside. The small section now able to be broken through, was quickly rushed with infantry pouring in on top of the Boer defenders. As the fierce hand to hand combat ensued here, points throughout the line began to collapse as the assault went on and the full brunt of the offensive was put to action.

Aclusian Expeditionary Force General Headquarters.....

Field Marshall Sir Douglas Haig looked on through his binoculars handed to him by one of his own staff officers, through the lens the explosions, the carnage and the blood stained grassland was all easily visible. Quickly handing back the binoculars to the other officer, Haig stroked his beard and got back into his staff car to head back to the Headquarters inside Kaapstad itself, miles away from the fighting.

As the car arrived half an hour later, he stormed out and quickly entered the building after receiving salutes from virtually everyone around him. As he walked into the planning room he stretched his arms around the large map on the table, observing the specifics of the currently ongoing battle. Minutes passed as Haig studied the map and monitored the course of the battle, as there was a knock on the door, revealing the Prime minister Neville Chamberlain himself entering the room surprising everyone, especially the Field marshal.
"Sir Haig, Gentlemen" Neville gathered the crowd as important news was to be shared regarding the situation of the war.

"As you all know the morale in the Empires army is at the lowest its been since the Great War, terribly so that much of our countrymen back home have become rather violent, and due to this His majesty himself, The King has brought us to a negotiation of a formal Armistice to end the conflict, let this be the last battle, and the last drops of Aclusian blood spilled on this godforsaken land, here here!" Neville announced as some of the men around sighed with relief, besides the Field Marshal who still had a battle to win.

Leersog, Sirvanska
The Collapse of an Empire
Withdrawal of Aclusian Interests

The lowest point of the Sirvanskan empire had finally swung into full effect, the massive migration of refugees cruised throughout the country as warlords and once Loyalist Generals battled throughout the remnants of the empire for land claims and power. Whole towns of civilized people now decimated to nothing but rubble and bodies, places of commerce like harbors and airports, shipping lanes and roads now under constant stress from the clasps of war that now gripped the country in a terrible panic. However in the middle of this confusion, laid the small population of contracted Aclusian workers trying to get out, as the Aclusian embassy itself with its garrison had started the process of fleeing the country by allowing its garrison to commandeer the nearby international airfield, holding it from local militias.

With distress calls flooding in to the Aclusian Empire, orders were set into motion of the evacuation by air, landing transport aircraft unto the airport with units from the Aclusian Indianum garrison. The solders now set here, disembarked their armoured cars and weaponry. They now began to set up defenses around the Airfield, planting Machine gun nests and checkpoints for the stream of fleeing Aclusian citizen workers and their families, who were now all ordered here for immediate departure. The situation was now an ever more dangerous task with the invasions conducted by the Norcourtian and Aydinirian armies, time was of the utmost importance.

Votes had been held in Parliament. The lack of response from the Nihonese had many thinking that they had rejected the Empire's demands. Thus far, the Crown had kept Parliament from voting on a declaration of war. That had not kept Parliament from voting for partial mobilization, bringing this years draftees into full service as well as authorizing an increase in taxes to fund them. Parliament had also passed the Mobilization Preparation Act, which required all Home Guard Members to provide their local recruiting station with their current address as well as the address of at least three relatives so that, should war break out, the military would be able to recall them to active duty.
The collapse of Sirvanska and Rannoria had also brought about reactions, with Parliament voting in favor of extending humanitarian aid to the two nations.
On a brighter note, however, they had seen success in their negotiations with Skarten, Arengin, and Aclus as well as with Hoosier and Breyburg. The Empire had essentially ensured that Nihon would no longer receive aid from the majority of its allied states. The Empire still maintained economic sanctions on Nihon and Parliament had added Crimetopolis to the list of embargoed nations, seizing ships, warehouses, monetary assets, and goods. Anything that the government or citizens of Crimetopolis owned that was in the Empire had been seized and their financial assets had been frozen, as had been done with every other nation that supported Nihon. The Empire was sending a clear message. Any nation which supported the Nihonese would suffer for it.

The Price of Glory,
16 Miles South of the Hettausan Border, Sirvanskan State

October 24th, 1926

Image

A Norcourtian Soldier of the 13th Elixian Legion, firing his Vergaus Mk.2 Machine Gun, towards charging Sirvanskan Guerillas, in the urban warfare that was Syrissa

Oh the birds! Oh how they sing! Oh how they sing...

Dear Z,

I've gotten your letters dear, and I apologize for not being able to write, we are constantly on the move. Things are much different here on the mainland of Indianum, much more brutal than the riots in Shishiri, but mentally I find it, much less forgiving. What does it mean? What does any of it mean? Whatever it means, I'll probably never find out. James, Jimmy, and Sal are all dead, but I assure you, that I'm doing well, and I'm well fed, and if I'm gonna be completely honest, we're doing very well, very well indeed. The reinforcements are due to come by within half a day or too, so I'm sure I'll be fine, you know me. Sometimes when I'm bored, I like to leave the towns that we've occupied, and walk around the fields of the outskirts. And though it is dangerous and forbidden because of the guerillas, I find that it brings me a certain form of peace, it's much better than what's going on inside the towns. This place is beautiful Z, I know for sure that you would love it here, I just know it. Everywhere you go, you can see the Mountains of Leersog, oh how beautiful they are, with their topsides overwhelmed by snow, and to think we passed through there less than a month ago. You can hear the whistling of the trees, the zooming of the bees, and oh the birds! oh how they sing! oh how they sing...

I love you,

Dak

As the Indianum Fleet landed in Salacona, the Infantry Divisions, and Armored Divisions of the Norcourtian 7th Army (The Lucky Seventh), after clearing and securing much of Leersog into Norcourtian control, pushed forward up into Syrissa, where they helped quell Guerilla presence in the surrounding Sirvanskan countryside. There they merged with the 13th Elixian Legion, totalling upto a force of 160,000 Norcourtian Soldiers, and 500 Sicalia M.II Medium Tanks. Combined, they set out farther North to the Hettausan border, leaving behind them 2,000 Man Garrisons in both Salacona and Syrissa.

The men of 13th sat quietly in their trucks, as the 7th Army moved onwards to Hettausa. They had tasted their first true taste of combat, and it mad their stomachs turn inside out. Though they still didn't lose that many men, by The 9 Years War standards, they had still lost some of their closest friends, notably for Dak, was Zanovich. Dak stared out the rear entrance of the truck, looking at the tire marks left behind by the truck on the snow. Their was pure utter silence, LaRusso had fallen asleep, and Guzzo as well, as matter of fact everybody was asleep, besides Dak. It seemed as though things were for a brief moment, all quiet, on the eastern front...

Imperial Palace
Gokyo, Nihon
October 6, 1926

The Nihonese Emperor, becoming increasingly ill, chose today to accept the Manticore demands which had mostly already been fulfilled. Normally Nihon would not accept such an unfair treaty, but it was looking like it would not matter after all. Now Nihon was not liking condition 6 but alas, Nihon was not quite ready for war with the gaijin devils in Manticore. What would have to happen is the men who gave the order would have to be sent over to Manticore, yet with their honor on the line the plans Manticore hoped for in what they called a fair trial seem uncertain...

The Aclus shipment had arrived and the tanks were rolling out, and would hopefully soon form new armored divisions. Recruitment was up and the 20,000 draftees had nearly completed their training. More would be drafted soon, possibly 200,000 men. There was consideration in allowing women to serve more in roles as nurses, desk jobs, and cooking behind the lines to free up the able-bodied men already in the military, who already had some training with firearms. The multiple parties invading Srivanska was unpreventable, but also unfortunate. Large armies of over 1 million men were already in Srivanska, and were now being positioned to hold their ground alongside the Aclusian forces. Pansk, which has claimed loyalty to the Srivanskan State, is now protected by the elite Kwangtung Army consisting of 13 infantry divisions assisted by 10 divisions from the Indianium Expeditionary Forces protecting the border assisted by air support. The Opus Free State which claims an alliance to General Larmos's Clique, who supports the Srivanska State is being protected by the other 10 divisions of the Indianium Expeditionary Forces. A single division in the Imperial Guard Army and 15 infantry divisions from the Home Army protect and cooperate with the Larmos Clique. The Aclus Indianium Army Group has all of its 25 infantry divisions around the border of Aydinir in Ranchana and Aclus, should they be needed to assist defend those nations. The Southern Army Group consisting of 1 armored division and 61 infantry divisions is currently working to help support The Kwangtung Army and the Indianium Expeditionary Forces. Aclusian troops were assisting in defense, and Nihonese troops were helping evacuate Aclusian citizens from Ranchana and other locations they could safely leave. Local militia and troops loyal to the state were being supplied with Nihonese supplies and it seemed for now Nihon was not in too bad of a position.

Unit 731 had been ordered to ready for a counter-strike after hearing of the atrocities laid upon Srivanska. Currently plans were being drawn up on where to strike if they were needed, and how much to employ. The Nihonese Fleets did not face much resistance, and would likely be ready to shell the Aydinir positions at a moments notice, but it would have to be done carefully not to upset Manticore. Additionally, orders went out to not fire upon any soldiers from the following nations: Breyburg, Hoosier, Norcourt, or Ruskland unless fired upon, in order to not create a diplomatic crisis. It was hoped, they would soon follow suit.

Hooiser had declared an embargo upon Nihon and had seized the little assets they could find. It was not much of a worry, but Nihon would have to follow suit in order to punish their betrayal. An embargo was placed upon Hoosier, all ships seized, along with all property of all Hoosier people in Nihon.

After investigation, it was found that it seemed ships of Aydinir origin had been used in the taking of the Arengin ship, and from there the Kenpeitai would send the information over to Arengin for them to create a response.

Gokyo, Foreign Office Building, Nihon
Late Summer, 1926

“Wonderful.” the diplomat stated as he followed the secretary. The doors to Minister Wakatsuri’s office were opened and Anders entered, greeted by the Minister.

“Honored to meet you Mr. Minister” Anders stated, taking his hat off and nodding in respect to the minister. Minister Wakatsuri nodded, but in a Nihonese bow-like way. They then shook hands before taking a seat across from the man.

“As discussed in our correspondence I have the final Treaty here for your government. Our Kongres has ratified it and our President has signed it, and hopefully soon all official hostilities between our nations can cease.” Anders stated, handing the Treaty to one of the aides with a smile.

Minister Wakatsuri smiled back, and said "It is a great pleasure to welcome you to Nihon. I shall get this signed right away, so we can have a lasting peace."

And finally the treaty was signed and the future with Traansval now looked somewhat hopeful.

FROM IMPERIAL NIHONESE PALACE TO NORCOURT AND RUSKLAND
Top Secret

Nihon, Ruskland, and Norcourt have held a strong bond since the beginning, and Nihon urges those parties in the conflict to exercise caution, not fire upon Nihonese troops, and hold back your reckless ally, Aydinir.

We thank you for your cooperation.

12 October 1926
The announcement Nihon's acceptance of the Empire's requests had irritated the warhawks in Parliament. They weren't going to have the opportunity to avenge the Empire's honor just yet. Or maybe they would still have that opportunity. Nihon may have withdrawn from the borders of Parsa and Aydinir but there was still the possibility of a conflict in Sirvanska erupting between Nihon and one of the several nations currently seeking to carve up what was left. And so it was determined to send envoys to Ruskland and Norcourt, in the interest of confirming common cause in checking the expansion of the Nihonese.

In the meantime, Parliament debated overturning the partial mobilization that had been enacted eight days ago. Most argued against it, since it was likely that Nihon could renege on their deal should the Empire begin demobilizing its forces. After all, argued the warhawks, it was the mobilization of the Empire's military that CONVINCED the Nihonese to agree to the Empire's entirely reasonable requests. As such, it was the height of folly to demobilize.
Given the warhawks dominance in Parliament, there was little doubt that the mobilization would remain in place. At least for the time being.

9th Regiment, 6th Infantry Division
Caoirigh go Brách!

October 25, Leersog-Hettausan Border, Sirvanska

"Looks like my luck has run out, hah!" Sheridan snickered mentally at the fact that his shoulder had been pierced by a bullet. Sure, lady luck still hadn't left his side, as the hole had been patched and the bullet taken out, not to mention that his hand could still move. But the fact that he had finally been hit while bullets were grazing his helm on the daily, was a thing he could laugh at ironically. Oh well, no use laughing at it that much anymore, there still was a conflict to resolve, and by the gods, he hoped that he could leave this place by December. Lifting himself up with his good hand, he proceeded to wander around before the trucks started leaving. Ah, a crisp evening this was, too bad he wouldn't enjoy it for long.

"Sir, we're leaving now," Sergeant Fleming called out to him, the man was already walking towards the column of trucks, "I think its best that you're on the truck.". Maugham nodded, and proceeded to trudge to the transports. "No need to worry yourself Sergeant," he said as he brushed off the hand Fleming tried him, he then helped himself up the truck, and soon they were on their way, "Besides, it takes more than a shoulder wound to pin down a soldier of the 9th.".

"If you say so sir."...

Soon, night had fallen, and most of his men were already asleep, or at least, halfway through it. He on the other hand, wide awake. "Strange, I've been trying to fall asleep for the previous three hours now." He wondered, and then he shifted his head to look at the back of the truck, taking note of the tracks being left behind on the snow. "Well, I guess you'll do for now." The first lieutenant whispered to himself as he proceeded to bore himself to sleep with the tracks being left behind, but no luck. Then his mind wandered, to those times he spent as one of the first ones to cross those bridges back in the Bog...

"Lee's and Meyer's troops have contacted the enemy!" Corporal Shepard MacRyder yelled out, "Up and at em lads, we're crossing those bridges!". Oh Cthulhu, it was time, they would cross those bridges and only a few would remain. The Corporal then looked at him, "First Lieutenant Maugham, your troops are up front.". Oh no. He looked at his men, he could not show any form of weakness, that would lead to them faltering in their duties. Steeling himself, he spoke to his troops, "Men, I'll be frank, we're all going to die there." He spoke bluntly, making some of his men flinch, the distant sounds of gunfire and men screaming did not help in the slightest, "But if we are, let's make sure that they remember us, yeah?".

"You hear me maggots? We're going there to die, and if we do so, we're going to do it in a way that we will be remembered for all time, and we'll do it in a way that we won't die, we'll come back as spirits to haunt those who decided to kill us, either way, let's die in a way that's worth remembering for, YOU HEAR ME?" His little talk had his men change from flimsy cowards to an elite of steel. "YES SIR!" They replied as loudly as he, and he smirked, "Well then, let's go fucking kill some Arenginians and die in a way worth remembering!". He raised a flag proudly, it was their regimental flag. "CAOIRIGH GO BRÁCH!" He screamed and charged forward, some one hundred and more men charging along with him, screaming that one phrase as they did so, "CAOIRIGH GO BRÁCH!".

He encountered the first Arenginian of the day, and before the bastard could raise his gun, the flagpole was skewered through his heart. "Take that you filthy Slav!" He yelled out as he stabbed the man again, this time through the eye and as a consequence, through the skull and brains. Pulling the flag out with a quick jerk, he grimaced at the gray matter at the bottom, that would be a mess to clean. And another Arenginian dead, stupid Slav, charging him. He had taken that one down with a pistol to the face. "FORWARD MEN!" He urged his men forward, they could not falter whatsoever, "THE DAY IS NOT WON, THERE'S STILL A COUPLE MORE.".

Gods, the bloodshed on that day, it was glorious...
What's that annoying feeling on my chee-

"ARGH!" Sheridan screamed, and flailed his hands at his surroundings, he quickly took note of the fact that day had arrived, and that his men were looking at him. "You okay sir? You had woke us up earlier with your shout." Sergeant Fleming inquired, and the first lieutenant simply shook his head. "Just dreaming about bad days long gone, that's all."...

Army of the Confederacy

It appeared that the situation in Indianum had been devolving, and such, something had to be done about it. The first thing the Army did was to assign more men to the front, in fact, they would send in nearly all of the 1st Army of the Tubuska, all of the 1st and 2nd Corps, all 196,632 of them. This order came way back at the end of September, and by the time October 24 rolled around, the entirety of that force had been landed in Indianum, but where exactly was a different thing altogether. While the 2nd Corps had been landed in Leersog, the 1st Corps had been dropped in Shishiri. And for what? Well, the answer would come soon, very soon. Or, in fact, the answer would come now. The answer was in the form of the entire corps marching forward into the Carriebean-Confederate DMZ along with fliers from the Hawk preparing to drop their payloads upon the Carriebeanian's capital. Word had been spread, the Confederacy would side with Aydinir in their wars.

On the border with Nihon, burning Nihonese flags along with the hanging and burning corpses of whatever Nihonese that could be found within the Confederacy lined it.

But that wasn't all, there was also the issue of the Rannorians collapsing. In response to this, the 3rd Corps, 2nd Army of the Tubuska, was to be sent to occupy strategic areas in the name of peacekeeping. They left just two weeks after the 1st and 2nd Corps on their Indianum mission, and the objective of the 3rd was to first secure the islands just offshore of the Rannorian mainland, just off Plais and Rannkradle. And after that, they would be sent to Deruhm. It was around October 25 that they arrived at those offshore islands.

"I come as an emissary from the Confederacy of Solomon Islands," a lanky young man, an emissary as he had said, told a guard as he gestured towards his briefcase, "If I may, I wish to have an audience to whom that may be concerned." The guard took a glance at him, the guard then told him to stay as he would talk with a few people. The guard then came back and told him: "Come in and follow me, the emperor will see you.". The guardsman was amused as he could audibly hear a gulp being swallowed by the young man as he was being escorted for an audience with the Emperor, Lothar mn Suesani.

The pair then arrived at a door of black sea stone, which held various carvings, some of which would be familiar to the emissary. The guard knocked, and a muffled "Come in!" could be heard. And so the door was opened, and there was Lothar, sitting on an ebony chair. "Ah, you, I've heard from the guard about you," he spoke up, "Come, sit down, and guard, do keep, you know, guard?". The emissary was then seated, and the Emperor scrutinized him, his eyes widened as he noticed the various minute features of the man, they survived, they survived! "Amazing, it has been a while since I've seen your kind.".

The First in Years

As the emissary in the CSN awaits his audience with the Emperor, back home was a different story. The news had spread of Rannoria falling to a civil war and the papers took not another breath until each and every civilian in all of the islands knew, to say that the newspapers were diverse was entirely missing the point but it bore little significance as the men of power that regularly sat in Unity Hall all understood the same story, and because of such, they were in uproar once more.

The subject was Rannoria itself and the consequences that it might befell if they stay stagnant, and yet, some were arguing for such a thing while others rebuked them for such an idea and furiously shouted at one another as to why one had a good idea while the other a suicidal one. The Great Leader sat in silence at the center of the room, his spine hunched and his chin being supported by his palms while his elbows rest on his thighs. A handy perk, he thinks, was the ability to think a coherent thought while the world came clashing down towards each other and so he used it once more as to try and decide what was the best course of action for the nation was.

As the men babbled on their opinions Alberto was thinking of the consequences of each and every action he and his nation would decide upon, much to the ignorance of the representatives around him as they fought with one another as what decision should be taken until finally. The Great Leader of the Confederacy rang the bell and garnered the attention of the men around him.

"Gentlemen, though just yesterday I have asked of you to go along with my plans of alliances, I now ask of you to bear with me. Our neighbors to the North of us are being seized by a revolution that their government has failed to stop with their lives, but what happens if a revolution like their's reach us?

"To try and warn any other would-be revolutionaries here at our home, I say we mobilize our troops as a stabilization force to the nearest islands we could reach. It would also give the troops front line experience and for our doctrines to hold out, if these de-stabilizers become an official body of government then they may look at their fellow neighbors to spread their influence elsewhere."

For the first time in a long while, the room was silent after anyone of any rank finished their thoughts on things. Many feared for an incursion and hearing the Great Leader's explanation, they themselves weren't sure on what to do.

"Now, I suggest that we side with the Rannorian Security Forces, or at least what's left of them. They're the only ones that are up against these revolutionaries and has a form of legitimacy how little it may be.

"It should be a good excuse to use stabilization efforts to prevent such incursion here. Though I fear that if we fail, we may face the wrath of said revolutionaries.

"All in favor?" A hundred and sixty four hands raised out of two hundred, the Great Leader nodded and hid his arms behind his back, "Right, rally the troops and ready the ships. We have to at least try and end a war, men."

Honoraria, Capital of the Confederacy

A military parade was hosted before the troops were being sent to the nearby docks. As men marched with their rifles and gear on their backs as transport trucks carried heavier supplies such as tank parts, communications equipment, and machine guns.

Soldiers waved their countrymen goodbye as the foghorns of their ships blew, signalling their leave while being escorted by tugboats towards the open seas.

The Great Leader was not idle while this happened, at his office, he stood next to a clerk and a typewriter whom had wrote what he said. After the task was done, the Great Leader re-read his speech, made minor edits, and tasked the same clerk to edit his message until it was in a condition where it was sent properly.

Contacting the leader of the R.S.F by telegram this was the message:

To whom it may concern:

I commiserate with you as the leader of the Rannorian Security Forces, with your nation divided among three other competitors and their ideologies of what democracy is truly is and to test their waters among fragile ice that should not even be touched. As we fear that this plague may reach home to us, the Confederacy, it is in our best interest that we may aid you, remnants of the original military that stood guard with Vail Adance to the very last.

Because of this, I hope you are happy to know that we are investing 3,000 men for you as well as armored support and naval bombardment at any of these damned traitors.

~Alberto Aneñyo

As he approved the message, he had it sent to who he can contact in Sylba and was off. Then, he went directly to a nearby telephone and had put himself with the General Forger of Vulcan much to the other's curiosity of who could be on the other end, and because of that, he asked for identification.

"Tell me who this is, for the sheep runs away from a figure they recognize not." He replied first.

"Not if it is their herald." The Great Leader replied much to the other's surprise.

"Great Leader, what do you ask of me that I may have your attention once more?"

"Those planes I've been asking for, how are they?"

"We only need an engine sir, after that, they should be good for a fight."

"Excellent, and those ships I've asked you to research?"

"As of now we can only convert one of our banana boats into them. I have not a foggy clue as to how an aircraft carrier could work."

"I'll leave you to it." And hang up before retreating to his office.

R'lyeh, Palas Fomalhaut

The emissary was shocked at the Emperor's sudden interest in him, this was the first "act of kindness" he had experience from someone outside his kin, even more so from a foreigner. Though he was not an expert of his kind, he was apart of it and knows much of his neighbors more than his most of his countrymen.

"M- My kind your excellency? As far as I know, we have been living in the Confederacy after the expulsion of our colonial masters as those that were found out to be worshiping our god was punishable by being burnt alive and so most of us concentrated on one island rather than be spread out and killed one by one.

"I've never heard of our kind being outside of the Confederacy, at least, not ones that look like me before the expulsion." The young man professed with the hidden feature of his teeth, sharp and yellow, perfect for biting into anything that was unfortunate enough to get in its way no matter how few it appeared he had, almost glowing with each word of his own kind's history.

Since the occupation of Aryshtakova, which has since been renamed New Indy, Hoosier forces have managed to work with Larmos's local forces to secure the state and enforce Hoosier law and order. Now, the total amount of Hoosier soldiers was 80,000, once reinforcements arrived to help with operations in the region. 20,000 of those men have been dispatched to focus on the Hettausa front. When the occupation first began, Hettausa was left alone after IGP forces occupied the northern slice of the state, but once Larmos submitted, attention was refocused on Hettausa. Now, the twenty thousand in the state would be joined soon by the forces building up on the New Indy-Hettausa border. Additionally, the twenty thousand occupying the north of Hettausa would start their advance into the state again, immediately. Hoosier forces are advancing southward, engaging the small forces trying to delay the Hoosiers long enough for the Sirvankan State to organize a competent defense.

Hoosier forces were also building on the New Indy and Opus border, with plans to launch an invasion should Opus refuse to submit peacefully. An offer to the temporary government controlling Opus was sent, giving similar terms as they did to the Larmos Clique. Should they refuse, Hoosier troops will cross the border and occupy the state.

In the state of the recently renamed New Indy, Hoosier military leaders were trying to organize Larmos's scattered military. So far, the only hard number they had on his forces were the twenty thousand regular soldiers he had under his command, which Iron Guard Hoosier were going to use to their full potential. However, there were still thousands more irregular militiamen who had pledged support for Larmos. The plan was the assemble those that still remained in service, determine their numbers, and retrain them as regular infantry.

To The Consolidated Republic Of Jarńaw:

We in the Iron Guard Party are ecstatic about your movement. Your people deserve their freedom from Monarchist shackles and we are glad to see a revolt of a similar ideology. We will, of course, be willing to sell arms and equipment to your cause. Not only this, but it appears that ten thousand young, able bodied, men have decided to take up arms for your cause. They are all "recently discharged" from the Hoosier Army and are waiting to cross your border and join your forces. Should you accept their offer of assistance, they will be at your service and will fight. We wish you luck in your endeavor to defeat the imperialists.

-Marshal Brandon Jones

To the Provisional Government of Opus

It is well known that, during this extraordinary crisis, the "Free State" of Opus has decided to align themselves with General Larmos and his "Clique". Recent developments have seen him and his military submit to Iron Guard Hoosier. We offer you the same offer we did Larmos: You submit to occupation from Iron Guard forces and be absorbed into our ranks. In return, you will have our protection and the majority of your government and military leaders will remain in power, under the supervision of Hoosier soldiers and administrators. We make this offer one time only. Choose wisely.

“My Lord...” Nathaniel said, reaching out to touch a rifle. “It’s...beautiful!” He said, with a small smile. “This is what we need. With this, we can actually train our militia, rather than sit on our asses and wait.” Then his smile slowly disappeared, “Why does Aclus want to return Hamilton so bad? What does Aclus gain from this?”

Thomas's smile changed into a serious face of pure business, the man had asked the important question that no businessman wanted to hear, what was the price?

"That's above my pay grade Nathaniel, the higher ups wouldn't dare tell me, you understand it, you were a soldier yourself mate.”

Thomas took a swig from his flask and took a deep breath as he checked his pocket watch, it was almost morning.

"Listen mate, the more successes you and your cell has, the more of these will be granted to you, something big is coming and you'll only have one shot at this to put everything together for the big day.”

Imperial Palace
Gokyo, Nihon
1926 October, 18

A new plan had been formulated from the Ministry of War to minimize the chance of a greater conflict but yet to secure Nihonese protected land. Ten divisions of the Indianium Expeditionary Forces, already in Opus, would secure government buildings and fortify the borders. The remaining men in the Kwangtung Army, Imperial Guard Army, Home Army, Aclus Indianium Army Group, and Southern Army Group would march right away to Opus, and help seize the territory. Planes would fly to the air fields controlled by the Indianium Expeditionary Forces while the Teishin Shudan would drop paratroopers down into the military forts of Opus that choose to resist. A letter would also be sent to Hoosier, to back down or face war. Now, Nihon was not afraid of facing the Hoosier army, for it consisted of a little less than 250,000 men, which would not pose a threat to the over 1 million Nihonese troops that would soon be stationed in Opus. The move would take an estimated 3 to 6 weeks.

Coastal Pillbox

Orders had now gone out, to be ready to face the Rusklandr/Norcourtian threat. Nihon was not at war with either of the two countries, but beyond the demilitarized zone, pillboxes, fortifications, and even some underground tunnels were being built along the border and the coast with more artillery guns being brought to help the garrison defend Nihonese territory. Nihonese patrols had doubled, and it had become a much more likely that Nihonese planes would fly up and patrol Nihonese and Carriebean airspace.

In the course of recent events, Nihonese officials have found the Rusklandr attacks on Srivanskan soil is a direct violation of the The Indianium De-Escalation Treaty signed between the Indianium Alliance, Ruskland-Preuben, and Carriebean in 1925/1926. Terms

-V. A declaration of non-aggression between the Indianum Alliance and the Imperial Bloc.
-VI. The halt of any Rusklandr spread into Indianum for 25 years.

are being directly violated. Nihon and the IA wish for peace, but are willing to uphold the document through sanctions, embargoes, and military forces has not been ruled out. Nihon urges signatures of the treaty uphold the document they signed.

We thank you for your cooperation and speedy response.

Waters off Srivanska
1926 October, 19

Otherwise, elsewhere in the world, the Nihonese 5th Fleet based in Shishiri, had begun patrol operations near the waters of Srivanska and open ocean, and the Nihonese side of the Carriebean. So far they had encountered zero hostiles but right then, early in the morning, Rear Admiral Musashi spotted it. He could distantly spot ships, moving in the direction of Aydinir. This was odd, as they flew Srivanska Flags, but Musashi had worked with the Srivanska Navy multiple times, and this class of ships before him... was not familiar. With them were two merchant vessels from... Arengin. That was not unusual for they could be escorting them to Srivanska or Nihon. Musashi didn't know. His job was to secure waters near Carriebean and Srivanska. Of course he could not be sure of anything and would like to see if he could assist these Srivanskan ships, for after all Srivanska is an ally of Nihon. On his Chikuma Class Protected Cruiser, he looked on grimly. He gave the order, "Request them to identify themselves. Full speed! All hands on deck! No need to worry because they are allied. Have our ships ready the main guns, though." And he felt the lurking feeling of worry. Why were they going in a path that would put them close to Aydinir?

War Department Headquarters
20 October 1926

Field Marshall Mosley, the new Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, sat with the other service heads. Army Chief of Staff Marshall Barber, First Sea Lord Admiral Bennett, and Commandant of the Imperial Marines Marshall Landreneau sat around the large table that was actually large enough for the entire staff of the High Command, some 40 individuals. As such, the room was quite empty with only four men in it.
Mosley set a sheet of paper down in front of him and said, "Gentlemen, what is said in this room is to be considered as classified at the highest levels. Nothing we say here is to be shared with anyone outside of this room without express written authority by the Queen herself, understood?" The others nodded. "Good. Now we have confirmed the attack on Arenginian merchant vessels by Sirvanskan vessels. According to the OSS operative in Assurhan, it was actually coordinated between Aydinir and Arengin. The Aydinirian Army gets a shipment of modern, high quality tanks and Arengin gets paid."
Barber looked confused, "Excuse me sir, but how did they avoid bloodshed? I'm certain the Arenginian sailors would have resisted."
"According to the OSS man, there were Arenginian military officers present who were in on the plan. And in any event, that's not the main reason I bring it up. In response, the Nihonese have stepped up their naval operations in the area. Since we know that Aydinirian personnel are operating under Sirvanskan flags, it is only a matter of time before Aydinir and Nihon are blowing each other out of the water. And, since we gave Aydinir a guarantee of sovereignty, we will end up in that war as well. To make matters more unstable, Nihon is advancing almost a million men towards Hoosier and is reinforcing their side of the DMZ with additional troops and fortifications. So that makes at least three areas where war can break out."
Bennett spoke up, "So what are our orders?" Mosley replied, "Relatively simple. The Queen wants us to prepare a war plan against Nihon. She's authorized the State Department to seek cooperation with Aydinir, Hoosier, Norcourt, and Ruskland, as well as reinforcing our relationship with Breyburg. As such, I would like to put together a plan with estimations for us fighting alone as well as with different combinations of the 5 other nations involved in this crisis. This will heavily rely on the Navy, of course. Now for the planning, bring in your staffs. However, do not share with them the fact of false-flagged vessels. Not yet."

Expansion, Preservation

Postby Breyburg » Fri Jul 12, 2019 12:51 pm

October 26th, 1926
Breyburgian Occupied Sirvanskan Leersog

Expansion, Preservation

“My people, we are expanding into what once was Sirvanska to preserve the Sirvanskan way of life, to give them a chance. If Breyburg somehow collapsed, wouldn't we want that too? I assure you I would. I don’t want to see people get snuffed out.” President Martin Harvey adressed the Breyburgian populace over the national radio. Many groups of activists have been pushing for the expansion into Post-Sirvanska to stop.

“Prime Minsiter Dobyov has installed a brutal, unjust dictatorship, the Peoples Republic of Sirvanska, in Hettausa and Leersog, it is the Socialist Allied States duty to liberate these people. I know there are some of you out there that do not approve of this expansion. Please do not see this as imperialism, see this as a rescue of sorts.”

_________________________________________________________________________________________

The Breyburgian forces have began to expand into what was Sirvanskan land in Carriebean, they will be taking this land back as well. The expansion into Hettausa and Leersog is relatively done, as high command does not want to come into contact with Norcourtian forces traveling across Hettausa.

"The Battle Of Zrécse"
New Skarten
Lubucz Region

"FIRE!" Shouted the soldier, following shortly the deafening sound of artillery firing. On the far-away horizon, explosions rose of the ground as the explosives hit their mark, claiming the lives of tens of unlucky soldiers who happened to be in the zone around it, with even more being hit by shrapnel. Letting the remains of the casing fall to the ground, the operators of the gun quickly filled it with yet another shell, beginning anew the process. They would sustain their fire at the enemy positions, with the information of coordinates coming through radio. This was an duty necessary to be carried out without fail if they were to defeat the enemies which they faced.

It had been seven days since the beginning of the revolt of the consolidationists, the rebels who desired independence for the colony of New Skarten. During this week, not much had happened, with the rebel forces continuing their march while the colonial royal army took their positions along the region, entrenching themselves and preparing for the initial assault of Bieslock's partisans. With the exception of the occasional skirmish or fight between garrisons of villages who did not surrender to the rebellion, there had not been much action. That is, until these last moments. After this long time of waiting, the enemy had at last gotten into the range of the Skartenian artillery. In the skies, scout aircraft would spot the enemy positions, communicating their exact location to their fellow soldiers, retreating before the kill zones came into fruition. Coming from above, shells whizzed, raining upon the ground as they killed soldier and officer alike.

Amidst the vanguard of the Consolidationists, chaos took place as men were sent flying left and right. In an attempt to avoid more casualties, the many parties that made up the insurgent force began to scatter across the fields as they advanced relentlessly, sprinting towards their target. From positions of their own, horse-drawn guns would be at last put into use, returning fire at their attackers. Their goal at the moment was to assault Zrécse, a suburb of the city of Lubucz which was held by the loyalist forces. Armoured cars crossed the field, their numbers suffering from the artillery bombardment that they suffered at the moment. They would have to be fast, or their assault would be over before it even so much as begun. They pressed on.

Some time later...

Many cheered within their minds as the explosions began to decrease. They had been getting closer and closer to the positions of the enemy, which meant that heavy artillery such as howitzers would not be used as to not kill soldiers of their own army. Yet, this was but the beginning of the fight. Around three hundred meters of distance stood between Zrécse and the many soldiers who had gotten through the Skartenian kill-zone. Hiding by the back of an hill, they waited as more and more of their brothers in arms joined them. At the beginning of the battle, they numbered around eight thousand. Only god knew how many had already went off to the next world. Once their force had been relatively reorganized, officers of the ranks knew it was time to act. An blow of the whistle was sounded, and, immediately, soldiers across the hill stood up and yelled their battle cries, as they began their charge through the valley.

Back in the trenches of the loyalists, the situation was different. Suspense filled the air as the troopers waited in their defensive positions. If one paid attention, they would be able to hear the sound of explosions from afar amidst the many other noises that reverberated through the trenches. Field guns were set up and machine gun nests were manned, just waiting for the moment in which the Zielone czapki (Name used popularly by soldiers of the Colonial Force, referring to an green cap used in great numbers by the consolidationists) came into their sights.

And then, the charge begun, green caps rising out of the grass as they assaulted the royal infantry. Seeing this, the Skartenians sprung into action, field guns firing at the rebels as they continued their charge. Not soon after followed the rattle of machine guns, spraying bullets at their unprotected targets, mowing down them like a motor grass cutter would mow the lawns of an manor in Szarów. Then, the crack of rifles was sounded, as infantrymen of both sides took shots at their targets. Yet, things were not good for the partisan forces. Their men were falling like flies, some being given the mercy of instantaneous death, with others agonizing in pain before drawing their last breath. Yet, they pressed on. With much sacrifice, many had at last reached the Skartenian trenches, initiating then the combat in close quarters. Armed with knives, axes and other melee weapons, the consolidationists fell upon the Skartenians in the trenches. Younger men, who got too ahead of themselves, would jump ahead seeking glory, just to find their demise at the end of an bayonet. Officers would draw out their revolvers and pistols, firing at the enemy as they climbed the hill. Rebels would throw their grenades, many times resulting in the death of unlucky machine gun nests who had been too careless. Soldiers of either side fought bravely, fighting as the baptism of fire carried on.

But bravery could not win an battle. Strategies and weapons did. The bolt-action rifles and revolvers of the Jarńaw simply proved to be no match to the semi or fully automatic rifles and submachine guns used by the skartenians. After a few minutes of fighting, the already diminished numbers of the green caps began to shrink down even more as soldier by soldier, they fell to loyalist arms. Armoured cars owned by the former who had survived the bombardment did not receive this luck again, being destroyed by field guns, anti-tank rifles or grenades. Soon enough, the assault had been broken. Many attempted to flee, retreating in the field, just to be shot through their backs, their corpses rolling down the hill. Those who did not flee either made their last stand, attempting to kill as many as they could before being put down, or simply surrender.

By sunset, the dust began to settle as the combat ended. With the area secured, the corpses of Skartenian soldiers whose lives had been lost were promptly buried, their names written into an archive. Their families would be later notified. No such honor was given to the rebels, who were instead placed in mass graves, their dogtags being taken by many as trinkets of war. Once the darkness descended upon the earth, relative silence returned to the ranks of the suburb's defenders as soldiers slept, with a few being assigned rotating turns of sentinel duty. Inside a small building, an officer used an military radio, notifying his superiors of the victory in Zrécse. As an response, he would be told to ready his men for an possible counter-offensive. Apparently, reinforcements would be arriving soon. Turning off the radio, the man returned to his quarters. It was time to rest...

Skartenian Machine Gun Nest

Albeit one of the first confrontations in the rebellion, the Battle Of Zrécse had ended rather shortly, it's first wave of attacks being repelled by the loyalists. Coincidentally, Along the trenches and cities of the Lubucz region, an string of other battles of similar results had happened, their results and events being more alike than what one would expect in an war. In the majority of the occasions, the Consolidationist forces, most being an mix of mercenaries and partisans, were successfully fought off, their less-than-desirable equipment and mediocre numbers not being enough to drive off their defenders. Their tactics, shaped through many decades of fighting in the continent of Indianum proved to be obsolete against the modern doctrine of the Skartenian Colonial Forces. With the casualties reaching numbers higher than expected, the Green Caps had no choice but to retreat to the lands previously occupied by them. For the moment, it seemed that they would have no chance but to wait for the next possible opportunity for an offensive. The clock was ticking...

On the bright side, support had at last came from the eastern giant of Indianum, the Iron Guard Hoosier. Their supplies were expected to greatly help in the war effort of the Republic of Jarńaw. Even better than that, they had offered to send an support force of around ten thousand "officially discharged" men as volunteers. With such forces, talks of an possible second offensive were opened up, with many of the leaders of the insurgent forces believing that better arms and soldiers with greater organized fighting experience would lead to an assured victory. They knew that the Skartenian axe hanged over their heads. The more time they were given, the smaller the chance of achieving independence would become. Soon, an new plan began to be traced...

To: Iron Guard Hoosier
From: The Consolidated Republic of Jarńaw

We thank you and your aid in our crusade against our colonialist oppressors. Such arms will be immediately issued to our soldiers, with payment arriving on time. We will add aswell that if it is of the choice of your citizens, they shall be welcomed to fight for this rightful cause against the enemy. Our brothers in arms wish you good fortune.

Signed, Provisional Chief Of State Ziemowit Bieslocki

Arenginian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
St. Osloverg, Arengin.

"No sir. Nothing like that. The Empire would truly prefer a peaceful resolution with Nihon. However, we are not so arrogant as to assume that peace is a given. As such, we are wanting to lay the groundwork so that, should a war erupt between the Empire and Nihon, it does not spiral into a second Great War. Surely your nation, of all nations, could understand the desire to avoid another global conflict."

Dotskoy gave a slight nod as he then drank the rest of his drink and set the empty glass on the table. Setting himself a bit closer to the Manticoran, the Arenginian had a much more serious look on his face now. "I think the King would very much agree to this... arrangement. Especially given the status of the world, I believe it is for the best to avoid a second great war at all costs, and Im certain his majesty shares that feeling with me, yourself, and your empress."

Raising himself from the seat, McDonald did the same as Dotskoy then offered him his hand. "I believe we have an agreement Mr. McDonald!"

Krysov, Andrevich.

Burger was silent for a moment, and then for a moment longer. In his head multiple expletives were thought. “Excuse us for a moment gentlemen…” Burger said as he stood up and grabbed Reitz by the arm, half dragging him towards the covered windows.

Andrevich gave a smile as he then took a hold of a cup of coffee and a cookie at the table, "Take your time!" he said with glee as he then took a bite off the cookie. Krysov for his part was not so pleased about the sudden break from negotiations as he tried to hear what the Boers were talking about, he remaining sitting besides his compatriot but he did his best to listen to whatever the Boers were saying with little success.

"It's impolite to ease drop on other's conversations Krysov!" Andrevich said as he took a sip of his coffee. Krysov scoffed as he then sat himself back with a face of annoyance. An uncomfortable silence ensued as only whispers could be heard from the Boers, they spoke in an incomprehensible language for Krysov and now all he could do was wait. Soon the Boers then turned back to the table of Negotiations, Andrevich had an excited look on his face as he then heard the following words.

“We give assent to these demands. Please have your offices mail the exact terms in writing and we shall contact our contracted printer to arraign for the final treaty to be printed and sent to the Boer Kongres for ratification.” Schlak stated, reaching out his hand to shake with the Arengins to seal the deal. “Let us finally end the bloodshed…”

"Excellent!" Andrevich said with glee, he then snapped his fingers to Krysov who then took out a series of papers and handed them to his older colleague. Andrevich then set the papers on the Boer side of the table.

"There shall be no need for mailing, we came prepared with our terms. All you must do is add them to your document and send them to your Kongress." Andrevich then took a hold of a copy of the Boer's own part of the treaty.

"And we shall take this and and the Duma shall ratify it very soon. The King will sign it, I am sure of that!" Both Andrevich and Krysov then raised themselves from their seats and shook hands with their Boer counterparts.

"To peace gentlemen!" Andrevich then said with a smile.

Eastern Sea from Sirvanska

Captain Andre Bobkov was one of the first ones to see them. On the horizon several ships appeared, heading in their direction. Military ships from the look of it. The Veselko and other Arenginian transport ships transporting all those tanks and equipment requested by the Nihonese, had no military escort. He hoped those ships will just pass them, but it didn't seem to be a case. They sailed straight towards them. Soon, Arenginians saw Sirvanskan flags and colours painted of those ship's sterns.

Not long after, someone shouted. A few gun short were heard.

THE ARE BOARDING OUR SHIPS! - someone shouted

Bobkov quickly turned to rush for the nearest gun, only to see one of those military men sent from Arenginian ministry. Smiling.

The Military Officer's sudden presence at the deck puzzled Bobkov, the smile which gave an eerie vibe that the man knew more than Bobjov even would. Even more confusing was the sight of the sailors of the Veselko and the other transport ship simply standing idle as the pirates of the nation in shambles boarded them. The so believed Sirvanskans entered the Veselko and the other ships facing no resistance, those first shots had amounted to nothing but initial fright which had then been taken care of by the Military Officer's Okrana henchmen.

"Captain, please lower the weapon. I can assure you these men mean you no harm!" the Officer then said as he was flanked by two masked Sirvanskan pirates. The two men spoke in a strange dialect to the Officer and he nodded then turned to the Captain and walked towards him.

"These men shall commandeer the Uvenko and the Nikolai. The Veselko and the Varvitzin shall be left unscathed through the remaining journey." The Officer then took a hold of the Captains free hand and set a flock of Arenginian rubles on it. Giving a friendly smile the Officer then made a "Shhh" gesture as the Sivanskan pirates then made sure the crews of the Uvenko and Nikolai were brought onto the Veselko and Varvitizin. The Okrana Agents made sure no sailor ever aimed their weapons at the pirates as then the two Sirvanskans and the Arenginian officer were seen talking together for a few seconds before finally parting ways. The Arenginian and Sirvanskan ships were soon away from each other and though completely perplexed, the Captain checked the flock of bills he'd been handed.

Stepping up a ladder back to the bridge, the officer then looked over to Bobkov. "Shall we continue the voyage captain? I must say these storms do bring tragic accidents. It is a good thing we managed to save the other crews in time..."

Bobkov finally understood the message, setting the flock of bills into his jacket he nodded, "Yes they do..." as he then set the ship towards Nihon. The shipment of tanks, weapons, and ammunition now cut in half.

Imperial Palace/Imperial Diet
Gokyo, Nihon
October 24, 1926

Nihon was gradually moving away from the threat of immediate all out war, but it still lingered. Most recently, an idea had floated around of building a vast fleet of reserve motorboats, in the time where Nihon was not at war with a significant power. These motorboats, would be piloted by a single man, but could carry one or two more men, and could act as patrol or suicide boats, with men armed with a rifle, heavy machine gun, or light machine gun. The likely choice would be a 13.2mm heavy machine gun, but it could vary. The name of the boat was the Shinyo Type 5, and would be able to serve for the Imperial Nihonese Navy and for the army as the Maru-ni It could also be equipped with two depth charges, to be used against submarines, or dropped and used on a surface vessel, although it would give little chance for the pilot of the boat to escape. And they would also have a bow-mounted Type 98 high explosive charge of 270 kg (600 lb). An order was sent out for 5,000 of these small boats to be made of steel for the Navy. 600 would be made for the Army to be completed by the early months of 1927. It would have a speed of 30 knots.

There would also be the Shinyo Type 1, a one man vessel with a bow-mounted Type 98 high explosive charge of 270 kg (600 lb). This too could act as a patrol boat and suicide boat. An order was sent for 10,000 of them to be built out of wood, and another 6,000 out of steel. It would have a top speed of 26 knots. These were very useful, for they could be easily transported, stored, repaired, maintained, built, and piloted.

Already 27 men of the Imperial Nihonese Navy and 10 from the Imperial Nihonese Army had tested both models, equipped with dummy warheads and stated they would be able to produce good results. 150 volunteer young men of the Kokumin Giyū Sentōtai (Volunteer Fighting Corps), ages 17-23 had been selected to begin training with the boats equipped with dummy warheads, focusing on steering well and hitting targets.

FROM IMPERIAL NIHONESE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS TO MANTICORE AND OVERCULTURE REPUBLIC
Top Secret

Nihon would like to inform you due to the professionalism of the Imperial Nihonese Army and the forces of the Provisional Government of Manchuko, that an undisclosed amount of Nihonese troops will begin moving to the Manchuko border with The Consolidated Republic of Jarńaw. Nihon has done this to allow Manticore to feel less threatened by the movement, but also to the Overculture Republic's government to calm them of the issue. As the troops may come near the Overculture Republic border to get to The Consolidated Republic of Jarńaw, Nihon is willing to allow a single unarmed Manticorian plane to view the movements, but only under escort of a single Nihonese fighter. The plane may take off of a Manchuko air base if it wishes, or can fly in on its own from the Overculture and be escorted.

ImageOfficial Communique to Nihon and the Indianum Alliance

PUBLIC

This communique is for the debunking of the Nihonese declaration that there has been some sort of attack on Sirvanskan soil in violation of the Indianum De-Escalation Treaty (or IDET).

To begin with, what Rusklandr attack? In fact, the Nihonese have been using the wrong demonym, the correct being Confederate. As for the refutation of their cited terms from the IDET, first for term 5, the nation-state of Sirvanska has officially ceased to exist, and any of these "successor" states have not joined the IA as of present. As for term 6, no such spread has been made, Confederate forces in Sirvanska are simply for peacekeeping and humanitarian missions.
As for our operations in Carriebean, as you all know, they have declared a state of war between them and Aydinir, which is not de jure, a part of the Imperial Bloc, but with their increasing cooperation and openness to us, practically makes them a de facto member, and thus, it is our duty to protect them from the Carriebeanian menace.
Such state of affairs will continue on regardless of Indianum Alliance, or simply just Nihonese complaints.

Xaadas Tlagáay t'álg hlan-gwáay!

Army of the Confederacy
October 25-27

"Things are heating up like a kettle placed in an oven!" An elderly veteran of the Morvern War had remarked when he read the news, and indeed, the uniquely worded metaphor was true, things really were heating up. In Shishiri, troops of the 1st Corps (1st Army of the Tubuska), had arrived at the Carriebeanian-Confederate DMZ in October 25, as they were busy spending the 24th finishing off the last of the Carriebeanian dissidents in Confederate controlled Shishiri. When the next day had rolled around, they were already marching forward to the DMZ, preparing to pour into the enemy capital once they had mustered fully. As for the aircraft carrier, it had been moving around Standpoint's waters, flying its bombers to drop phosgene canisters in the center of the city. There were also other regiments separated from the main 1st Corps force to be on garrison duty on the border with the Nihonese, about 6 of them.

As for the 2nd Corps (1st Army of the Tubuska), which had landed at Talinningrad, Leersog, and were pouring towards Pansk and Hettausa, those sent to the latter province mostly with the intent of stopping the Breyburgian advance at all cost, while the former was with the intent of securing as much land as possible, flushing enemies as thoroughly as possible, as well as balancing both out by depositing secure garrisons at major cities and towns, and strategic areas. They would work well with the allied Norcourtian and Aydiniri forces in the area to accomplish these objectives.

Then there was the 3rd Corps (2nd Army of the Tubuska) on their mission in those three islands in the shores of northern Rannoria, with each of those three getting an entire division to deal with. Needless to say, whatever enemy garrisons that were encountered there were simply crushed under the might of the Confederate armies. All survivors were executed by proper hanging (e.g. Neck-snapping hanging, not asphyxiation). All this was completed by the early morning of October 27, two days after the initial landings on the 25th. It was quickly made obvious that those three islands would not be capable of supporting an entire division each, and such, plans were quickly drawn up for a landing at the Rannorian mainland and the isles of Deruhm. Why the change of plans with the addition of the former you ask? Well, a faction was to be supported, and that was the R.S.F. "Vail Adance's rightful successors" as the Warmaster, Alto P. Eadricing had stated in a press conference.

The plan was this, leaflet bombing in cities, and regular bombing on non R.S.F. positions would commence on the 29th, and end in the morning of October 30th. Before that however, in the 28th, preparations would be made by the 3rd Corps for a landing at Plais, spearheaded by one half of the 11th Division and all of the 17th Division, as for the rest of the 11th and the 13th Division, the former would be on garrison duty on the isles to ensure that the Rannorian natives wouldn't try anything funny while the landing was in progress. While the latter would leave at October 29th to spearhead the landing at the Deruhm Islands. If all went perfectly, they would be able to commit to a landing operation on Monday, 1st November. It was expected however, that a realistic day for the landings would be on 3rd Wednesday.

"M- My kind your excellency?" The foreign deep one had stuttered in reply when Lothar had finished his sentence, "As far as I know, we have been living in the Confederacy after the expulsion of our colonial masters as those that were found out to be worshiping our god was punishable by being burnt alive and so most of us concentrated on one island rather than be spread out and killed one by one.". Poor things, they hadn't heard of the great haven of the Occultists in the far north, but how could they? They were, for all intents and purposes, on the other side of the planet back then, and by the time they opened to outsiders, they had already been imprisoned on their island, but that would change soon.

"I've never heard of our kind being outside of the Confederacy," he'd professed with a sheepish voice, his teeth showing at times, they were sharp, yellow, and perfect for biting people's faces off, "At least, not ones that look like me before the expulsion.". His teeth, they were almost glowing with each word of his own kind's history, an odd quirk.

"Your kind could not have heard of us back then, it is certain." replied Lothar with a somewhat somber look on his face, "They were simply too far away from this safe haven, but now, the opposite is true.". He called out the guard, telling him to bring a certain Jan von Innsemouth into the room. The guard simply nodded and left their presence without another word or gesture. It took about a minute of waiting, and the man had arrived, or should I say deep one? "You called your excellency?" He inquired by the doorway.

"Ah, Jan," the emperor nodded, it was always good to see one of his old friends from childhood, "Come inside, I have something wondrous to reveal to you.". And so the 'man' walked to the emperor's side, and marveled when he set his eyes at the man sitting in front of the table. "Amazing isn't it?" Lothar smiled genuinely, "Blessed by the gods themselves, your kind, and thus you were dominant here during early Ruskland.".

"Ranacephalus tasoth, is what we had called your kind, not abomination like those misguided fools." He informed the emissary, then he half-joked: "Although, we may have to call Jan here a member of Ranacephalus borealis and you, a member of Ranacephalus australis.".

Warplans 1926-1930 and 1930-1935
October-December

The Confederacy was surrounded by hostile nations, that was a fact since the 1870s and has endured as one throughout the decades. But such state of affairs needed to be rectified, and would do so in the following years, if the plans didn't go to shit. First was Warplan 1926-1930, to detail what the whole army would do in the years 1926 until to the dawn of 1930. And most of it involved Nihon along with the various developments in Indianum and Rannoria, and developing as many weapons as they could in order to gain advantages throughout the years covered by the Warplan. It covered every branch, the navy had to start working on finishing the 1925 Naval Order, not to mention an extra plan of building at least 3 aircraft carriers by the time 1930 rolled around. The air force had to deal with requirements on their aircraft, as well as increasing current aircraft numbers. And the army needed to finish every Field Army in construction by 1930. And that was simply the tip of the iceberg, there was also the other Warplan.

Warplan 1926-1930 for the navy involved the completion of the following from the 1925 Naval Order: 2 Hastur Class Superdreadnoughts, 4 Gwaii Class Battlecrusiers, 25 Deep One Class Destroyers, 25 Danger II Class Destroyers, 25 Duelist Class Destroyers, and 100 Starspawn Class Submarines. The rest would have to be scrapped in order to make way for the new 1926 Naval Order. As for the curious lack of 2 more Hastur Class, instead of 4 of those being built, the other two would be re-purposed as aircraft carriers, indeed, these would knock down the order for aircraft carriers to one left. The 1925 Naval Order would be considered completed when early 1928 came, as that was where projected construction time was calculated. For the 1926 Naval Order however, it involved the construction of four Raven Class Superdreadnoughts, thirty Shishiri Class Light Cruisers, and one Confederacy Class Aircraft Carrier, with around 5 more aircraft carried than the current Hawk Class. These ships would be completed by the early 30s.

As for the air force, they had to design every aircraft within the 1st Warplan with this in mind: All of them needed to have a range of 500 kilometers or more. Their current fleet of A11s and Y3s achieved and surpassed these requirements, but their A18 fighter was a hundred kilometers short of the range needed by the Warplan. Not a problem however, a man by the name of Gwaay Guu Ganhlin Goering, and his aeronautics company G4X had already designed and tested a fighter made to replace the A18, called the G4X-F1. It had a maximum speed of 257.5 km/h and a range of 528 km, more than the needed 500 km, and as such, it was developed further and was given more test flights, and was ready for production, which would begin at around December, with an initial order of around . Not only did G4X have a fighter ready, they were also drawing up and developing another one already, not to mention a bomber aircraft! The former was the G4X-F2, but in spite of its nearly 300 km/h speed, its theorized range of 450 km was deemed too short, and thus it would not get any funding. They were free to develop it further though. And the latter was the G4X-B1, with a range of 900km and a payload of 600kg or 1 torpedo, it would poised to become the replacement of the A11 and the Y3.

But there was more to this, Yaahl and Aero didn't like the competition and would design planes in order to meet the Warplan. The latter company would design a bomber called the Y4, and it would be big if it were to be funded due to its 1,500 km potential range and 1,000 kg bomb capacity. Aero on the other hand, had developed the A26, with smaller potential (1000 vs 1500 and 800 vs 1000), but it was already tested and it did well. And thus, the latter would be developed first before the Y4, and the G4X-B1 was removed from the picture altogether. There were also more designs to come, and Goering would declare in a press conference that "An aerial arms race will commence, not only with fellow Confederate companies, but also with other nations.".

And now, for the army. The new PPD-26 was to be mass produced, and the schematics of the gun was to given to all Imperial Bloc nations. The same also went for the new Janus-Krak M2 and DLMG, and their schematics given for free as well to all nations within the Imperial Bloc. All three guns' schematics were also given to the Aydiniri. What was a bit more discomforting was the fact that, along with the mass production of those guns, there was also mass production of gas. More specifically, phosgene. In other news, the Declaration of Non-Aggression between Breyburg and the Confederacy, proposed by Breyburger diplomat Morris Ford, has been accepted and signed, and the capital of the Empire of Carriebean has now been besieged by almost a hundred thousand men.

Then there was the 3rd Corps in Rannoria and her colonies, or, what's left of both for the matter. Delays and inclement weather had pushed the day of the landings to 5th Friday, but they were able to do it regardless. A force of 19,158 men landed on the shores of Plais, swatting away whatever enemy forces were located there, and assisting any R.S.F. forces they could find. By the time November 10 arrived, a sizable beachhead had been formed, and there were already some pushes to the inland sections of the province. But they weren't the only ones making a landing, there was the 13th Division landing upon the shores of the Deruhm islands on the 9th, and on the 10th, fighting on each islands was long and fierce. A beachhead had been established on the smallest island out of the three, at the very least.

And that was only the current happenings of Warplan 1926-1930, there was also Warplan 1930-1935. It was larger and would have equally as large consequences, and most of the plan involved their two Slavic neighbors in the south...

"Battle Of Zymoc"
New Skarten
Zymoc Fields

A man ran through the field, his rifle in hand. Stepping through an smell puddle, he quickly took cover behind an large rock, bullets whizzing past him. To his left and right, many others of his fellow army ran past him, moving through the puddle-riddled field. He watched as one of his less lucky compatriots was gunned down, falling face-first into the mud. The man in question, named Harrison Paller, wore an green-ish uniform, contrasting the yellow color of the plains in which he found himself. He was not a mercenary, fighting a war he did not care about in the eternal chase of money, nor was he an partisan, willing to throw away his life for the ideology he followed, for he was an volunteer.

Even before the rebellion had begun, it was common knowledge to those even slightly interested in the subject that the greatest supporter of an independent New Skarten would be the authoritarian state that bordered it, the Iron Guard Hoosier. Because of that, it was no surprise when the commanders of the anti-monarchist nation offered to send ten thousand "freshly discharged" men as volunteers to fight for the cause of the rebellion. Harrison was one of these ten thousand men. And, through a series of events and confrontations, he had found himself here. He looked to his sides once again. The assault had not yet ended, countless men running through the meadows as explosions popped up left and right, claiming the lives of many. Yet, stopping was not an option, unless he wanted to join the others in the next world. Spotting an nearby armoured car, trudging through the field, he quickly sprinted towards it, using it as a protection from the hail of bullets coming from the north.

The objective of this mission was to break through the skartenian lines, securing the offensive for partisans and other less-experienced soldiers. A simple goal, one would say, yet as every minute passed, the chances of completing it seemed to slowly fade away. The heavy artillery owned by the loyalists had completely dwarfed their field guns and howitzers, who suffered not only from their small number and mediocre quality but from the lack of accurate coordinates as well. On the other hand, the colonial forces of New Skarten possessed airplanes in number more than good for scouting. In addition to that, the machine guns and rifles used by the royal infantry had more than done their damage, picking off any soldier not in cover. But casualties were within expected numbers, and the Hoosier volunteers drew ever closer.

However, just as the assault group approached the defense trenches, great metal behemoths rolled out from the loyalist lines, moving above the trenches and down the hill. Martyna-Kondrat tanks, around two entire companies made up in their majority of them, followed by several more light tanks. Soon, their turrets began to fire at the many armoured cars and tanks of the volunteer force, their shells of higher caliber easily penetrating their armour as the vehicles blew up, essentially rendering useless the last of the man-made covers used by the green caps. The heavy fire, the shelling, the rattle of rifles, it all grew closer as the once-proud division began to fall apart, splintering into small groups who had found enough cover. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. The morale crashing through the floor, many infantrymen who decided their lives were more important than an rebellion outside of their home nation began to attempt to run away, spiraling the offensive into a mass route. Others, who judged themselves to be too close to have an hope of escaping, either charged out of their cover as an last, desperate attack, or simply surrendered, letting themselves be taken prisoner by the colonial force. It was the end. The battle was finished as thousands of men lay dead on the fields of Zymoc, the once yellow grassland now covered in blood, dirt, ash and fire.

Victory was, once again, Skartenian.

With the Battle of Zymoc over, ending with an resounding Consolidationist defeat, with the majority of the volunteers sent by Iron Guard Hoosier perishing. This greatly effected the war scenario, as the success of the second offensive depended greatly on an breach through the Zymoc plains, allowing for the partisan forces to more easily be transported combat, as the previous assault wave had proved mercenaries and hastily trained peasants were simply not enough to take on the trenches of the colonial forces. As soon as news of the loss arrived the High Command of the Republic of Jarńaw ordered an general retreat of their forces back to the territory that was held by them. An new strategy would have to be used. Rather than an quick offense, it was decided that it would be better to simply hold out in an attempt to inflict as much damage as possible as to force the colonial forces to sign peace.

To the Skartenian side, however, this was an great victory. It meant that the colonial force of New Skarten had successfully defended the territory of Indianum with minimal losses, an formidable deed in consideration of the almost even number of soldiers. More than that, reinforcements had at last arrived from the mainland. Since the start of the rebellion, recruitment drives had started as reservists from both regular service and the home army were called back into action. Conscription had not yet begun, but recruitment of civilians who were not on the reserve had begun, still undergoing training at the moment of the arrival of the main force. It had taken some time, but batches after batches of soldiers began to arrive in the colony. Albeit there were plans for the possibility of more men being transported, the number of soldiers was equal to that of six land armies, as well as twenty mechanized infantry divisions, ten cavalry divisions and ten tank corps, an force fit to utterly squash the Consolidationist rebellion under their boots.

Land Armies920 844
Mechanized Divisions271 180
Cavalry Divisions50 400
Tank Corporations78 000
Total1 320 424

With such arrivals on the frontline, it was finally the Skartenian turn to attack. The Dobrogost Offensive, named as such in honor of it's primary designer, was put into action as the Expeditionary force began to march towards the territory occupied by the insurgent army. Their goal was to break the defenses of the green caps and strike deep into their territory, seizing their capital, the city of Łutszva and putting an end to the rebellion for once and for all. Adding to that, news of an offer of support from the Nihonese Empire made the situation easier, as the addition of another front would greatly harden the defensive abilities of the republican rebels, forcing them to further divide their forces. The first phase would consist of an general assault led by the mechanized divisions and tank corporations assisted by the regular infantrymen.

The winds blew through the land, the sky above colored pitch black, the moon and the stars shining as they had done for millenia. From inside an truck, an soldier looked to his surroundings. Many other men accompanied him inside the vehicle, several of them sleeping. It was late, around eleven o'clock. Staring outside of the truck, the man would see several other vehicles behind it as the convoy traveled in double line. As he began to drink an mug of coffee from his rations, he pondered over the series of events that had led to this point. Bartłomiej Iatovscki, he was named. Until not much long ago, he led his rather simple life working in the accounting department of an car producing company in Krazna. He was, however, an reservist on the army, having been so since a few years. And thus, it was no shock to him that, a mere week after the beginning of the so-called "Consolidationist" rebellion in the far-away continent of Indianum, he was called onto service. He was now an infantry man, a member of the 174th Land Brigade of the Fourth Royal Land Army. Soon, he would arrive in the forward army camp, and from there on, well, it wasn't something he'd know until it happened. Covering his eyes with his cap, he laid back on his spot in the truck, slowly drifting to sleep...

Breyburgian Hettausa-Leersog Occupation Zone (BHLOZ)

Backing Out, Backing In

The Breyburgian and Hoosier forces that have barricaded in Leersog have been told to back out, and barricade at the original Shakoyoko-Leersog Border. Siginificant progress has been made in Hettausa as the leader of the once was Peoples Republic of Sirvanska is now dead. There is no objective for the PRS’s military and there is no cooperation and communication between the newly formed factions within the military.

These new factions are as follows;

The Peoples Republic of Sirvanska - General Fyodor Ulyanin assumed the role of Prime Minister within the PRS. The PRS is slowly dying as it is running out of food, fuel and ammo. It is expected to fall within weeks.

The Free Republic of Hettausa - General Yerik Lobanov split off from the PRS and formed the FRH. He wishes to restore glory to the region of Hettausa as he was born and raised in Hettausa and has great pride in it. It is expected to fall within a month.

The Sirvanskan Resistance Army - the SRA is led by General Sergei Bazanov and is a loose unification of many smaller factions. It is also running low on food, fuel and ammo. It is expected to fall in weeks.

A deal has been made with Iron Guard Hoosier; the region of Hettausa will be split ⅓, ⅔. ⅓ to Iron Guard Hoosier and ⅔ to the Socialist Allied States of Breyburg. The People’s Republic of Sirvanska has been dissolved, along with the Free Republic of Hettausa. The Sirvanskan Resistance Army is still skirmishing with Breyburgian and Hoosier forces.
