Tell me what you think of Olivia's progress- I'm trying to keep it rather low atm, more about her learning and coming to join the community than her in any way leading. Their progress to keep surviving rather than to innovate.

‘tis a cool take - and logical for flooding to be a danger where you are in the world, one which the rhythms of life have to accommodate.
TG if you have questions about RP. If I don't know the answer, I know someone who does.

Ok. Thanks G. <3 I honestly rly appreciate it. If you have any input on anything- the culture of this region at the time, the weather, their crops, etc- just let me know. :3
Now if only you had the time to DM my Mara, instead of your own, I'd be all set,

Anyways - for those Authors with 3 or more posts - events incoming.

Edit: Except you burger - you're good. Taking it slow and presenting a story... I like it.

Civ I'm gonna have to edit my post I think. Just confirming that the sword impact would kill my guy right? I had it get blocked by his 'immortality' but other people are saying it doesn't extend that far.

A sword to the gut would almost certainly kill your character. Not from infection ( you are immune ), but either from the blood loss or the severed intestines. Your edit is needed

Reading through the posts and...

No ones invented the wheel yet! That seems like something even more basic and essential than bronze! I'm inventing the wheel in my next post!

If your region speaks an Indo-European language, it has wheels and animal husbandry.

Ah, but this far westward it was no more than a tool for pottery! It's only just recently being used for chariots in Mesopotamia, and wouldn't be used for wheelbarrows for several thousand years!

Naw. I mean, Viktor has basically just made a few swords and introduced plough agriculture. Some folks are already building polities.

Author Applicaiton

Name: Allysiah Madani
Age: 24
Height and Weight: 157cm / 63kg
Picture:
Image

Prior Profession: All-round teacher (Elementary school)
Level of education: Bachelor of Education
Physique description: Allysiah tries to stay fit, but doesn't make it a priority. She's slightly above average in both strenght and speed, mainly due to her past service in the Basij.
Useful skills: Basic survival skills + Basic historical knowledge (advanced when it comes to the Middle-East) + Some experience on how to deal with different worlds.

National Origin: Iran
What were you doing prior to falling asleep and awakening in the past?: Brushing teeth
Description of personality: Allysiah isn't very trusting towards others, but when her trust is earned she's a loyal, friendly woman with a somewhat difficult past. She considers herself a realist, though some would argue she's more of a pessimist.
Where in the world are you landing?: Zarzar lake, Syria

Autobiography/Biography: Allysiah grew up in a large house in Qom, shared by her father, her biological mother, her second mother and 7 siblings. Her father was a hardline cleric, and thus the strict ruling of Islam was enforced in the household. As a young girl Allysiah didn't knew much better and happily participated in all that was part of it.
This however somewhat ended as she reached her early teens. She befriended some girls who lived a whole other life, a life in which rules weren't as strict as she was used to. Allysiah struggled with the two worlds, the one she grew up in and the one she started to enjoy a lot more. Even though she wished otherwise, the struggle never ended and at some point Allysiah's life simply split in two, the life with her family and the life without them, balancing the two full time to avoid needless trouble.

( Optional on down)
What are your intentions for this RP, what's the long term goal?: Long term probably taking control over Phoenicia and settling Carthage.
What people or places are you taking inspiration from?: Carthage/Carthaginians, and especially Hannibal Barca.
Why did you chose to land where you did?: It has civilization close by and ofcourse it's where the Phoenicians will pop up.
What vibe should we get from your civilization and it's culture?: A fairly cool one, making money by trade, colonizing places around the Mediterranean (and probably even further). Likely a bit more militaristic and paranoid though.
What are your character's motivations?: They're likely to change over time, first one would likely be the hope for a return to her old world.
Theme Song?: Two Steps From Hell - Black Blade
What do you wanna see in this RP? What would make it better?: Can't tell yet.

Commercial Hubs, Traders, and Luxury Resources. Improved Gems are perhaps the easiest way to get ahead. An early profitable trade route is also valuable.
