Also, what should my event be yall?

I know I am OP, but i've never really given myself an event. It would seem like cheating if I were actually prepared for such a thing. Any suggestions on what should happen over my way?

Depends on how severe you want it to be. I'd advocate for the various captured women getting tired of being treated like second class citizens, and have them just up and leave. Maybe a few slit throats in the night as vengeance. It could either been a small scale phenomenon, or an organized revolt. After all, these are people who had their families butchered, their villages burned, and their status reduced to that of... let's go with population growth mechanisms to avoid being too crass. I severely doubt they'd just accept their lot in life, regardless of having nowhere else to go. You could also have a power struggle, a small coalition against Stranix form, or resentment against the army. Your system currently is riddled with as many problems as everyone else's, even more so with the nigh lack of diplomacy beyond the current puppet installing plan. I've also been writing about a particularly harsh winter in Ireland if you want to play off of that. Poor crop yields, and migration from the north could cause problems.

I don't think anyone will be too upset if you make your own events, but maybe you could get G or someone to write them for you if you're afraid of bias?

Dump the pigeons, shoot the ink, and boil the herring. I'm sure things will work out fine

I am somewhat concerned at how long it is apparently taking G-Tech to write me a response.

Perhaps it would be best to avoid personal conversations like these in the future, since these inherently take a lot of back-and-forth.

It’s taken two weeks OOC to get this meeting three IC posts deep, and I wrote two of them...

Do what you did with Kelmet then. Get together somewhere at an agreed upon time, and you two just wash hash out the entire meeting - then just edit it a bit to feel like a post, and send

That would probably be best.

I’ve also just been ridiculously busy of late. As in, I think I’ve written two IC posts on NS in that time period...

Beautiful! Saw that IC post in Siwa.

This will create some pretty good background for the upcoming war between Siwa and Qara. It would create uncertainty in the ranks of facing their own brothers in battle. Fighting for Honor, Spirit, and for their tribe. In addition to survival.

Will make an IC post soon. Keep a lookout in this coming week.

Made my post. War will begin next post on Qara.

Honestly, Gaukhar will probably try her best to make sure that little bloodshed in this war is made, as she now knows of how that old man was viewing things, and she didn't wanted to hurt him greatly to see his own relatives of the Siwa be slaughtered like flies.

Besides, this is more of a "Unification War" if anything. If unification can happen between the two, then yeah, I'm sure that would ease wounds, and probably would even increase the trust further between the Siwa and Gaukhar. Besides, why genocide your own relatives if you can genocide the others who are alien? :P

I am reading The Horse, The Wheel, and Language How Bronze Age Riders from the Eurasian Steppes Shaped the Modern World by David W. Anthony. It is very interesting. Some of the material I got right, some of it is off. A lot of it is about language. There are carts and war carts before there are chariots. The wheels are solid for the carts, basically made of three pieces of wood. It is not until much later that you have spokes. I like the description of the Yamnaya ox cart. The bottoms are reinforced with planks laid out in an x shape. There are woven reed mats covering the top of the wagons with layers of felt on the bottom of the mats. The wagons are red and black. They are designed to be mobile to move with the herds. I also like that there is a major advantage for herders on horseback. They can manage many more sheep and cattle than on foot.

Thinking about jumping back in here. Should I continue to roll with Javin from where he left off and move forward to catch up in time, or should I just get a new author?

Why not? I would suggest a couple of posts to go over the time lapse though.
