I mean the Falx for the sickle sword which is a curved bronze blade with a sharp inner edge and long handle, a traditional weapon of the Thracians. It is not an actual sickle. Like the breastplate, it would be a weapon of the nobility in limited production.
I read some more, there are breastplates of bronze for the nobility, but no scale mail. I have to look at things more closely for example, there are no battering rams, but scaling ladders were invented in 4000 b.c. Stone and clay walls have been around for 5000 years. Bone, wood, and rawhide armor is right for the period.
Some of the technology I am reading about is very strange. Thracians were skirmishers and ambush fighters which makes their style of warfare different than the Greeks.
The walls exist because my character asked the villagers to build them, they are a purposeful anachronism. It would be no different than steel being introduced by G Tech.
There are other purposeful anachronisms as well. The Story of Marathon is another anachronism purposefully introduced by my character Victor Spear.
Also, the daily meditation and drills for fighting would be another anachronism introduced by my character. It is something which he introduced earlier. It would allow much better fighting prowess.
The strength training is another anachronism introduced earlier by my character. It is another part of my character.
Not all technology is weapons. Ideas count as well like strength training, meditation, daily drills, etc.
There are essentially three anachronisms that would allow Oak to prevail, strength training and athletics, daily training and martial improvisation, and walls

Name: Marcus Turner
Age: 22
Height and Weight: 6'2" 201lbs
Skin, hair, and eye description: African-American; Light, brown skin tone; curly black hair cut to be short; hazel eyes

Prior Profession: Law Intern
Level of education ( specify degrees or note worthy classes ):
  • Columbia University
    • Degree in Law (completed)
    • Degree in History (Ongoing)

Physique description:
  • Marcus' physical abilities are not especially especially spectacular apart from his running abilities. He is lean, and releatively muscular compared to the average individual as a result of his long involvement both in the Boy Scouts when he was younger and his school's track team from middle school to college.

Useful skills:
  • HIstorical Knowledge (Although he has not completed his degree in the subject as of yet, his knowledge of historical events and periods has proved to be quite spectacular)
  • Survival Skills
  • Law and Philosophy
  • Leadership Capability

National Origin: United States of America
What were you doing prior to falling asleep and awakening in the past?: Celebrating earning his degree of law among family and friends.
Description of personality: Marcus is an outgoing individual with a strong sense of justice and ambition. Though he does not like to admit it, his outgoing nature is more of the result of him bottling up negative emotions about his life and about his family that manifests itself into a mask of optimism over his core of realism. Though he does legitimately seek to be kind, kindness is seen as secondary to achievement and ambition.
Where in the world are you landing?: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Autobiography/Biography ( paragraph minimum ):
Marcus Turner was born in the Queens Burrow of New York as the youngest of three children. Growing up, he had a fairly average childhood, doing well in school and even some athletics before his father left the home when he was ten. For Marcus, growing up afterwards without a father were some of the hardest years of his life as his two older sisters moved onto college and out of the house and his mother worked day in and day out to become the first in her family to earn a college degree. As a result of this, Marcus was left mountains of time to himself to think, to allow the hatred he felt for his father for abandoning him to fester before it became the core of what drove him. When his mom did eventual graduate college, she found not the optimistic young boy she knew before, but a determined young man ready to take on the world. He and his mother moved out of the city shortly after her graduation, moving instead to suburbs due to the increased income his mother now brought to the table. Marcus himself had to move schools, becoming involved in track for the first time in his life which he loved, along with history with a passion.

Once Marcus reached adulthood his hard work finally began to pay off as he was selected for a scholarship to the Columbia Law School back in New York. For four long years he endevored to earn his degree before the day finally arrived in which he recieved it: the key with which he would unlock all the potential of his life. His family and friends celebrated soon after at their suburban home, when a knock came at the door. Marcus came to open it, and the last person he expected to see was there standing in the doorway: his father, broke and desperate. He wanted to yell at him to demand why he had left him for so many years but he couldn't manage do do so, instead remaining silent under the loud arguement that his father and mother got into. Instead, he avoided them, climbed up to his room, and closed his eyes, wishing everything would be better in the morning. However...

What are your intentions for this RP, what's the long term goal?: For the first few chapters of Marcus' story it will be him coming to terms both with his predicament now and in his past. He'll likely try to meet up with others much like him and perhaps attempt in vain to return to his own time. There will come a point in Marcus' time in the past, however, in which he will be thrust into a role of leadership of others that will quickly lead to the primary goal of Marcus' story: to found a benevolent, just Empire for those within its borders. I'll explain more about it later :D
What people or places are you taking inspiration from?: Rome, Achaemenid Persia, Cyrus the Great, Japan, Moses, King David
Why did you chose to land where you did?: This area in the world, right where I landed in Dhaka, is the prime location for a city of mankind. Navigable rivers, natural resources, rich farmland, the like. If humanity was given a chance to start over with knowledge of everywhere in the world to settle one great city, this is where it would be and what better place to put to capital of Marcus' eventual Empire?
What vibe should we get from your civilization and it's culture?: Persia, during the Achaemenid Dynasty with a hint of an Imperial Cult
What are your character's motivations?: To get back home in anyway he can. When that fails, to make the world a better place for all people.
Theme Song?: Here
What do you wanna see in this RP? What would make it better?:

Useful skills are for professional skills. I don't think leadership or survival really land on professionalism save for certain circumstances, such as having a job pretaining to leading folks like generals or managers.

Well, Berlin is certainly an area of heightened agricultural productivity, by dint of being near a river. Not excessively though. The Spree won't impact agricultural productivity as much as larger flood-prone southern rivers.

None. Agriculture is already prevalent in Continental Europe in this era.

Uh... dropping a timeskip right after our events? That doesn't leave us time to respond to them properly. I doubt I can get a post up this weekend.

Oh, that remembers me - given that you're in Japan - that reminds me of my overall goal (besides making a civ). Make anime, but it's in Germany.

Wasn't Berlin mostly a swamp for the longest time?

Stopped the Nazis from building a lot of these grand buildings because the ground was to soft.
