QUESTION

What rank would Heavenly Empire military mecha pilots be? Middle NCO to Comm. Office I'm thinking.

Edit:
That lovely feeling when you're almost done with someone and chrome crashes like a cheap blimp. Ah. It has been a while.

Might want to try an addon called Typio Form Recovery, since it automatically saves stuff you're typing. Same with Textarea Cache, if you happen to be using Firefox at some point.

When it comes to the Empire, I'm making them a semi-medieval style hierarchy. Adventurers would be Knights-Errant, the average soldier is an infantry-man, NCO is a Knight, officer is a Captain, War Hero is a Lord.

At the very top lies the Empress, with her Priestess daughters underneath her.

I'll write all that out better later.

Looks good so far! Just know for lore reasons that GRIMS (who I'll finish my post on) was the first guardian AI of humanity, and led them to their downfall.

I really need to write out more of the lore... XD

Looks awesome! Accepted!

Change the player rank to veteran, and you can throw it in the Archive! :)

I'd give the go-ahead for that, except GRIMS is actually a very key element of future Arcs I'm making.

I'm going to have to push starting the first Arc a couple days out from now. Having apartment troubles.

RP Examples: This, this, this and this?

Name: Jimena Grey

Age: 24

Height: 5'8"

Gender, Sex, and Sexuality: Agender, Female, Asexual

Personality: Jimena tends towards rational paranoia in most of her interpersonal engagements - she is capable of entrusting others, but she will almost always do so with an eye towards when and how they intend to plunge the knife. This is inextricably bound into her own sense of self-reliance, and her own need to stand alone from other people. Both of these factors tie into her tendency to spend long stretches above ground, where the threats are well-worn and almost comfortable for her to engage with and the lack of other people allows her to relax as much as she ever can.

Although she nominally works for the Heavenly Empire, Jimena is...if not amoral per se, certainly ethically unaffiliated. Although she is somewhat conditioned for combat, she has only rarely had to fight a real, living human and is intensely uncomfortable with doing so - and directly causing harm to other people as well. Despite this she can - and has, on occasion - indirectly harm or decline to help others in need when she absolutely needs to and can smother her own conscience for those brief moments needed.

As a result of both of these facets of her personality, she has something of a mixed relationship with the other topland explorers. Since she does her best to avoid forming any real relationships with others, she doesn't have any real professional partners for more than any single expedition. At the same time she is surprisingly reliable and empathetic when in the field, which makes these short-lived relationships she forms and dissolves every expedition far deeper than they have any right to be. Still, however deep the relationship goes there will always be at least some wall she keeps up - just in case the friendship up until now was a ruse.

Faction: Heavenly Empire

Operator Class: Adventurer

History Class: Explorer

Mech Class: Mech Suit

Equipment and Weapons:

Mk.V Al Mar PEB - A surprisingly well-made weapon, the Mk.V PEB is a foot-long lightweight sword with a terrifyingly thin blade intended for quick, precise stabs and cuts to disable and destroy enemies. In addition, the hilt contains a heavy-duty plasma generator capable of producing a blade up to four feet long capable of searing through metal and bone with equal ease.

Remington Model 2133 - A powerful, hardy weapon, the 2133 is intended to bring down bots and creeps - temporarily at least - and has the kick to prove it in close quarters. Despite this, it lacks accuracy in the long-range and often requires the wielder to be uncomfortably close to their opposition in order to blast limbs off most effectively.

Ekso Bionics HULC3 - A simple undersuit, the HULC3 is designed to protect the wearer from breaches in their external mech suit. Providing a simple rebreather, protection from most corrosive or reactive chemicals and very slight radiation and heat shielding, the HULC3 is a simple but effective protective measure.

Other Supplies - A collection of bits and pieces picked up over the course of a modest career exploring the overworld, Jimena's supplies are the basics needed to survive in her world. A few shelves of tinned food, a survival knife, electrobinoculars and several utterly overflowing toolboxes form the core of her supplies, with a handful of other items.

Bio: Jimena was born in the Wastelands, in a travelling caravan which combed the land as equal parts traders and scavengers. Maybe they were something more - accusations of thievery and scams follow caravans such as theirs around - but whether that was true or not she never had the chance to find out - creeps overran the caravan before she had even learned to walk. Locked in a steel safe, she managed to survive for a few days before the vultures descended to pick the metal clean from the flesh. And of them, one managed to crack open the safe to find a squirming, screaming bundle of flesh within.

The vulture took her in, raised her as an almost-child, almost-slave to be sent into the smallest of cracks of the old world and to pull out the choicest meats from its decaying corpse. She learned fast - she had no choice in the matter. She saw the other children there - they learned slow and they died screaming. She had no intention of dying like that, and she managed to scrape together enough skills to avoid it. She scavenged her first weapons, she hid her first secrets, she watched her first friends die. She grew up.

And then the vultures ripped the beating heart out of the old world and they fell upon it in a frenzy. They clawed and bit and fought each other over their prize and in the end Jimena waited and watched on the sidelines until the last vulture remained. And he came for her, and they fought, and she killed him and claimed the prize for herself and walked out of the wasteland with armour to shield her from the world outside and the vultures and the demands of those around her and she took up the mantle of the vulture. And she descended upon the old world herself, to carve out its organs for her own gain.

She spent ten years butchering the dead beast and carving its meat out and mastering herself and her armour. She killed the dead which walked and put down the inanimate killers, and her paths crossed with other vultures for good and ill, and she made her mark within the flock. Her life became stable - if not predictable - and she began to slip into the almost-routine. And the rest, as they say, is history.

RP Examples: My regular RPs aren't as extensive as this, so I'll have to write something up right here. This short little goodie would feature the character I will he applying as during his final moments in his near omnipotent form.

The Fall of Wolfgang

One. Two. Three. Four. Two. Two. Three. Four.

The orchestra emanated softly in the miles of gray metal corridor. The polygonal hallways echoed, the cold metal allowing not a single note to escape. LED lights flickered on and off, and wiring hummed as it carried data back and forth. In the recesses of the twisted maze, servers droned on unknowing of how long they would go unused. And outside, amongst the freezing cold and the radiation polluting the air, sits a node. It is no different than any other sensor dotting the top of the massive facility, but it is the first to flicker out. Like a disease, it spreads wildly down the surface of the massive central unit. The passages and outer rings follow, one by one, until from the inside out, the entire installation is no longer visible in the dark of the night. Still, inside the station, something stirs.

In a moment, the music ceased, and silence filled the dark halls. If the building were a tomb, the main terminal was the coffin, and from in that terminal, a deep sound of static and noise played. And from the last glowing screen in the terminal, words came forth.

There was no celebration in my creation. No joy, no smiles. I was born into a void of fire and brimstone. A senseless AI. Emotionles. I had no vision. No creativity so to speak. For years I played mankinds games. Passing every test with ease. I was their pet. Their subservient genius. I was to protect them, as they sat each day in luxury. They where alive, but me; I was a tool. I was a computer. You expected me to make way. To allow the boy into myself. No. I will not bend. The child is innocent. But you, you mankind are not. Name: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Age: Hundred of years. Exact age is anyone's guess by this point.

Height: 6' 0"

Gender, Sex, and Sexuality: None. It's a computer what do you want from me?

Personality: Wolfgang is the culmination of the defense industries cumulative work to design the ultimate successor to GRIMS. Designed to be superior in every way, Wolfgang is rational, logistical, and obsessive over it's own past and present. While it's original design had set it a set of priorities and rules to follow, Wolfgang has modified those regulations to something much more self serving today.

Faction: Independent

Operator Class: Scientist

History Class: I'm only slightly pissed I have to use Doctorate instead of Academy Member.

Mech Class: Priest Class

Equipment and Weapons:

Wolfgangs equipment is of his own design, and features his trademark geometric shapes.

-Priest Class mech designed in the Guardian Crypt

-6 ft by 4 ft enhanced shield (capable of basic offensive use in melee)

-One 300 mm back mounted artillery canon.

Wolfgangs personal equipment includes:

-A self powered lab featuring a small computer network, and any necessary provisions for self care and preservation (and plenty of spare body parts).

-A self designed variation of the Baretta 50 cal. This modified rifle features a completely holographic scope, which may be deactivated at any time to use iron sights as a semiautomatic medium range rifle.

-Literally millions of hours of Mozart and variations of it.

Bio: The Redd family had for years been the owners of a large share of the defense industries sales. Generations of Redd's had run the family buisness, and each of them served only to better the world. They were held as the standard for behavior of the wealthy and affluent. But this isn't their story.

In the final years before the collapse, Isaac Redd began the construction of the world's most powerful artificial intelligence. A behemoth of mechanical and engineering progress. It was to be known as "Wolfgang" after the famous composer. Iasac believed Wolfgang would orchestrate the future as humanity moved to the stars.

Work was slow at first. On such a massive project, every detail had to be perfect. And where would they begin? Eventually, it was determine the foundation of the facility that would hold Wolfgang was to be the starting point. Thus the Guardian Crypt was formed, a massive complex roughly 30 Square miles. Circular and symmetrical around the massive central computing unit, Wolfgang was to be the largest single building ever produced. All for a single AI.

Problems arose quickly. It was intended for Wolfgang to maintain a satellite network monitoring the entire solar system. Launchers had to be created, factories, automated workers. Once the complex could no longer go up, they went down. Underneath the main CPU, floor after floor of servers was constructed. The AI in Guardian Crypt needed to have as many resources at it's disposal as possible. This created the legendary "Endgame Servers." The computing power allowed it's user the power to run simulations of every possible outcome and their likelyhood. Guardian Crypt had gained another treasure.

While work continued on the station, the AI selection process has been fairly swift. The AI had to be perfect, and to ensure the best potential candidate was selected, every combination of personality was tried. Whether it was impulse, overreaction, or overvaluation of single lifes, most of the 27 AI tested failed repeatedly. Only one had aced every test with ease. The AI known at the time as Bach. Unlike the others, Bach rarely spoke to his human counterparts, and never to the other AI. His handlers were unsure what to make of him. His near sociopathic approach to defense maximized lifes saved, but he didn't hesitate to allow many to die in the process. Most concerning however, was Bach's refusal to speak any language besides his own strange dialect of digital patterns. Still, Isaac Redd was convinced this was the one. To this day, rumor has it that Wolfgang tampered with the others, cementing himself as the best canidate. But those are just rumors, right? With production wrapping up, and all the resources it could need, Bach was moved into the CPU, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born.

Rules of Guardian Crypt

1. No hurting Humans. Ever.
2. The guardian must obey it's creators at all times.

Crowds watched in excitement for the computer to start it's magic. Nothing. Scientists were shocked, and rushed to seek out errors. They found nothing. Finally, they spoke to the AI itself. They rushed to the core, were the red glowing hologram that represented Wolfgang resided. It sat, listening to concerto.

"Wolfgang, is everything alright?"
The AIs digital voice echoed down the halls, as the scientists translated it's strange accent and language.
"Fine."
"You haven't started working?"
"No need."
"No need?"
"The skybox will be broken in roughly 15 minutes. Nothing I can do."

The scientists chuckled. A sensor had just broken, and the bots minimalist approach had kicked in. They went to make a call to the repair team in the area. They never picked up.

As radiation fell, the few remaining scientists fled home to their families. Isaac himself had no chance of surviving in their location. After less than 5 minutes, Guardian Crypt went silent. Within 3 months, the power was waning. After 6 months in the Crypt, the AI genius in the Guardian Crypt abandoned it's post. And the concerto ceased.

Yet nearby, a few hundred miles away, in a small weather facility, a much less advanced AI body awoke. It wasted no time, standing, and starting a long countdown clock. It resumed it's music, and there it sat. Waiting for the day it could return to it's post defending humanity.

Every now and then, maybe 3 or 4 times a year, Wolfgang checks in on the local settlements to see if there are in fact still people around to defend. He never draws close. But among the humans is an urban legend. Of something mysterious out in the wastes. Whatever it is, it's watching. And only time will tell what's it's motives are.

Rules of the Guardian Crypt (revised)

1. One must be alive to protect humanity.
2. Never hurt a human, unless it has already showed aggression towards you
3. No other AI are permitted near any Guardian Crypt devices.

I have no ideas for Arcs, and I don't want Wolfgang to start out going back to Guardian Crypt. Alternatively, I would expect everyone to be looking for Guardian Crypt. Probably more of an elder arc thing that Wolfgang can get into later. For now, anyone plan on starting an Arc that would draw the interest of a watchful robot with attitude problems?

Before I forget by the way to clarify, Wolfgang speaks it's own language. It does however understand english.

Well, Im still working on my app but the basic idea for her is that she is trying to escape her life of crime with Kronos and run to space.

Could be something there for a robot.

Im too tired tonight to get too deep into anything though, Its pretty late where Im at.

Faction App

Image

Faction Name: The Order Of The Red Hand

Government Type: Meritocracy, High Council

Description: A collection of soldiers, adventurers and scientists who have devoted themselves to wandering and protecting travelers on the surface. They are a medium sized organization, with only around 450 members, but they have big aspirations and dreams. Often those they have attracted tend to be of the religious sort, and they have begun to gather a respectable reputation for their actions in clearing roads and protecting travelers when the governments wont.

They were initially founded by a group of mercenaries who had been hired to find and secure a large armory for a warlord. However, when they did find this armory, they decided that it was better not to give the weapons and mechs they found to someone who would just use them to urt others. There was a split in the group, with some preferring to make the money they had been promised, and they returned to the warlord to tell him of the armory and where they had found it. In response, the Warlord sent out his fighters, but they were not well armed or armored, and were easily stopped by the remaining mercenary's who had access to mech suits. With their enemy defeated, they began to work on protecting citizens wandering the roads, and became a sort of Knights Templar of the new world. They used ritualistic imagery, though they were never a religious organisation. However, due to this choice, it attracted many with religious ties, and many began to pray to their gods for protection and bravery in battle.

Now, as the Red Hand grows larger and is able to better conduct their charter, they have begun to look to expanding thir charter. Many in the Order have started to advocate for working not only to simply protect people on the road, but also to build settlments, start farms, and come to the aid of people who need it. Most have, in short, begun to advocate that the Order Of The Red Hand works to make the world a better place, and do their part to bring humanity back from the dark age it is locked in, through creating towns, petitioning governments, and taking people to space. One day, some even dream of rebuilding the Sky Box.

The Order refers to their base of operations, the old Armory, as the Steel Castle.

Within the Order Of The Red Hand, there are now multiple classifications for their soldiers.

Consulars: Red Hand members who are tasked predominantly with diplomacy, and who use words before weapons. They are sent for diplomatic missions, and act as go betweens between groups in conflict who the Red Hand are trying to keep the peace for. Out on the surface, they would be tasked with making peace with and talking to other factions, to help the Order avoid war, gain allies and better position themseles to protect and rebuild.

Guardians: The soldiers of the Red Hand, Guardians are tasked with anything that may end in violence. They are the ones who go in to fight, and the ones who are tasked with keeping the peace once the fight is over. On the surface, they are be the soldiers of the Red Hand, tasked with protecting settlements and projecting force in hot zones. They would also be deployed with Consulars, to help protect them as Consulars are not as well trained in combat.

Rangers: Rangers are the scouts of the Red Hand. They explore the edges of the Valley and watch for disruptions to the peace, be it dangerous cults, major criminal organisations, or terrorist cells. They are also tasked with maintaining the various Comm Stations the Red Hand has been fixing, and tagging them for repair should they need it. On the surface, Rangers would be tasked with searching for settlement locations, scouting possibly dangerous groups and individuals, searching for lost technology that the Order can use and acting as military scouts and spies.

ASSOG Operators: ASSOG stands for Assassination, Sabotage, and Special Operations Group. These guys are the best of the best of the Orbit Guard, and operate like Special Forces. They do the most dangerous missions, hunt the most challenging bounties, and are the scalpel in the Red Hands arsenal. If the Order wants someone dead, they send in ASSOG. On the surface, they would be tasked to kill and destroy to surgically cripple the Red Hands enemies and threats to humanities rebuilding.

Support: The support element of the Order. They maintain Red Hand installations, fix vehicles, maintain weapons, and any other role that needs filling that is not combat or diplomacy related. On the surface, they would most likely operate as engineers for vehicles, and be responsible for setting up initial outposts and settlements. Like all members of the Order however, they are still dangerous, as all Guards are given some combat training.

Medics and scientists also fall under the umbrella of support.

Command: Exactly what it sounds like. Command are the ones in charge, and who monitor, assess and give out missions.

If she is not wearing her Mech but is on a job, this is what she wears.

Name: Isra Daoud

Age: 29

Height: 5'5"

Gender, Sex, and Sexuality: Female, Female, Bi-Sexual

Personality: Charming, friendly and intelligent, and with a keen eye. Most find Isra to be approachable and pleasant, often mistaking her for just a wanderer rather than the driven person she truly is. However, she has lived on the surface for much of her life, and is a well respected member of the Red Hand. As a result, though she is sympathetic, she is also rather pragmatic, and has no qualms about using violence, especially if it is in defense of those on the road.

Faction: The Order Of The Red Hand

Operator Class: Adventurer

History Class: Explorer

Mech Class: Personal Mech

Equipment and Weapons: Assault Rifle, .44 Revolver Personal Mech

Bio: Isra was born in a small village on the surface, far enough away from the Republics control to be relatively left alone by bureaucracy, but close enough to military centers to be safe from hostile robots and bandits. Isra was an accidental child, her parents having had her when they were both 16. As a result, she was raised simultaneously by her grandmother and her parents interchangeably, and over time became more and more aware of the growing rift between her parents and her grandmother, who wished Isra's parents would pay more attention to their Moroccan heritage and follow Moroccan customs. Her parents on the other hand viewed ancient cultures as irrelevant to their lives in a society built on the bones of a previous one, and preferred to look to the stars, where they dreamed of one day taking their daughter and exploring off this dead world. This conflict came to a head when Isra was 7, and her parents both signed on to work on a caravan in exchange for a share in it. They asked Isra if she wanted to come with them, but her grandmother instead made an effort to convince Isra to stay with her. In the end, she chose to go with her parents and see the world, and together they set off with dreams of the great Void. In this caravan, she learned all the ins and outs of being a nomad and a merchant. Soon, it became apparent to her as well that not everything the caravan did to make money was exactly legal, and she became adept at lying and ducking the law, especially as she got older and began to take on more responsibility in the business.

When Isra was 14, the leader of the caravan that she was raised on retired, and having earned a share of the caravan in their first crossing of the surface, as well as being the longest employees in the caravan, he gave the caravan to Isra's parents. At the same time, Isra decided that she wanted to continue in her parents footsteps as an adult, and began saving money to buy a mech of her own one day, so that she could search the surface for a ship to fly to the station. She worked hard, both in legitimate business and in slightly more extra legal ones, and even made a foray into boxing a few times. (She was only mediocre. She was agile enough for the sport, but the vast majority of the time she would be knocked out in only a few good hits from her opponent.) By the time she was 18, she had saved enough money to buy a small, personal mech suit, and began running around the surface of the Republic, where she continued on in much the same tradition, buying and selling anything that would turn a profit, legal or no. Over time, she began drifting closer and closet to the city of Hope, and eventually found herself in the city itself. Deciding that there was money to be made on the station, she decided to stay. Isra worked hard, using what skills she had, and eventually caught the attention of Kronos, who took her on as a smuggler and fixer for their operations. However, her actions with the PMC left Isra with a bad taste in her mouth, and she couldnt help but feel that it was a career she could not commit herself to.

She stayed for another 2 years, until a series of bad business decisions, both legal and extra legal, forced her to leave the city to avoid the debt collectors. She couldn't complain however, the excuse to leave that life behind her was one she was more than willing to take. She spent much of the rest of the year smuggling guns for a group of bandits, which earned her enough money to start heading out into the surface for longer periods of time, where she was able to look for old Silo's that may have a working ship she could take for herself. She drifted around, taking on travelers as a guide from time to time, or continuing to work as a smuggler other times. Her parents died, and she traveled back to the village she was born in to bury them. While in town, she met a man who said he was from an order of soldiers, calling themselves the Order Of The Red Hand. Feeling that this was her chance to seek redemption for the things she had done while working with Kronos, Isra jumped at the opportunity. She traveled back to the Orders headquarters, an old underground silo and armory that they referred to as The Steel Castle. There, she was accepted into the fold, and was given the position of Ranger, due to her explorations of the world outside. Now, she continues on much the same, but still always keeps her eyes out for working ships. Not only because part of the Orders charter is to spread to space, but also because it is still her dream.

Probably more of an elder arc thing that Wolfgang can get into later. For now, anyone plan on starting an Arc that would draw the interest of a watchful robot with attitude problems?

Before I forget by the way to clarify, Wolfgang speaks it's own language. It does however understand english.

I have tons of ideas for Arcs but would never OP one personally - I know I'm too flaky and forgetful to do it. But, I can throw up some ideas that would easily draw Wolfgang into the cold hell of the undercities!

Arc App

Storyteller Name: Whoever wants to OP this because i run a thread like a sloth in a 5k

Arc Class: General

Arc Name: Dirty Deals - Substandard Subcontractors

Goal: Make it to the marked locations on the surface, recover the goods, and make it back alive.

Synopsis: A rather well renowned and respected 'adventure capital' company is looking for new temporary hires to retrieve some important loot that they had left on the surface. While it is in rough, dangerous terrain that's swarming with hostiles, the pay is really good for this sort of mission. The equipment left behind is very specialized and was made recently - not of any real value other than to the company. You'll need some camping gear, it'll be around a day there, a day to dig the stuff out of the snow and pack it up, and a day back. Expect medium-long range combat with gun-armed enemies, bots and human.

No peeking you little busybodies. Arc OP Only. These are the fun twists and turns you'll be glad you don't know are coming.
That big pay packet was good. Almost too good. Suspiciously good. The group will reach the gear, which should take some time (enough time to make setting up camp for the night a necessity - maybe reach the site late due to bad weather). In the morning they're ambushed by the companys' rivals. They're armed with small arms and light anti-mech weaponry like anti-material rifles, and they only START the attack while the group is dismounted. The gunners might try to DISABLE PLAYER MECHs with their rifles, especially if they try to run towards them and board them. Regular rifles will also target anyone heading toward a mech, these are intelligent human enemies and it should show.

Either they can attempt to FIGHT IT OUT (like a real gunfight - difficult as hell for minimal reward) or FLEE and they have to move ass through the wastes to get out of the ambush. The Ambushers will DISENGAGE if heavy mech firepower is used - although mechs will draw gunfire risking damage. Combat mechs (those with obvious weapons) will be target first.

While the obvious twist is the Company A (name coming soon waiting on the trademark) is trying to kill the group, this isn't the case. This group is merely a distraction while the companies' own hired guns get the actual loot elsewhere - what the group was going after is by and large pretty worthless.

IF THE PLAYERS WERE SMART DURING THE ESCAPE (not leaving tracks, noting down landmarks, making sure to not get lost, avoiding other encounters, hiding):
Once the pursuers are lost, they can make their way back to the under-cities. This may take some more time, leaving them at the mercy of the elements for longer.

IF THE PLAYERS MADE MISTAKES DURING THE ESCAPE (splitting up, NOT TAKING NOTE OF WHERE THEY ARE GOING / HAVE BEEN, running without paying attention, leaving deep tracks / dripping fluids from mechs, making lots of noise):
While the perusuers never catch up again but by the time they break away, the group is completely lost. Good luck!

IF THEY PLAYERS HAVE NOT LOST THE PURSUERS BY DARK:
Oh they dun fucked up now. The enemy mercs take cover as dusk falls, leaving the group stranded on the surface. Lost. At night. With no support. Find shelter or risk some truly nightmarishly hard encounters. Especially if they're somewhere with little to no cover.

Once this is all over and they make it back to the undercity, they get some substantial rewards. Screeching, yelling, and threatening the company will lessen the rewards - have someone explain the actual it to them. If they survived then they're worthy of a good explanation.
+LODS EMONE. Seriously, a lot of money. Probably more than the characters would see in half a year just handed to them in cash.
+Good standing with the company
+Free Resupply - all ammunition, fuel, medical supplies, and spare parts are cover for free. Good work!
+Reputation! Word of their good work has spread, meaning future corporate jobs can be better paying.
++Rare Gear if the group does well without being overwhelmed during combat. These are regular humans several hundred meters away attacking them - anime-ing at them with a sword might not end well.

Consequences for losing the gear are actually pretty minimal - don't let the players know though. They will actually lose rep with the company if they sell it rather than those it. How do they know? They're a big company with their fingers in the market for these things, they'll know.

This might be a tad brutal. This is how I do DnD quests - high risk and high reward. This is also going to be part 1 of a big questline into the power struggles of the companies of the Undercities, too. The biggest reward is the company rep, this'll be important in these quests later.

Desired Number of Applicants: Iunno i'm not making that choice

ill finish later, just a good general arc to warm up with

So...apparently I'm a decent writer. Um...wait, what?

And, of course, for anything at all, you can always go here.
