History: A large group of individuals decided, once leaving the bunkers, to make their way towards the coast. Many feared that the large cities of Dallas, Houston and Austin would be inhabited by bandits and would be in anarchy, so they made their way for Galveston. By the time they had reached Galveston (which was not very long) they had accumulated an even large group of migrants from other bunkers. While in the bunkers, they had pretty much established who would be in charge once they left, and so had many new comers. The leader from the initial group, from a bunker near Arlington, was put in charge over all the groups. However, this role would shift every so often between the other leaders.

Four bunkers settled on Galveston island, with a fifth settling off the island. For the first 5 years, these groups worked together quite well, assisting in the restoration of the island and driving out criminals who were currently living there. In 2083, however, many of the different groups began to bicker over who would get what share of the island. The Arlington Assembly (these groups would come to be know as assemblies) claimed they had first rights to the island. The Conroe Assembly, on the other hand, said they deserved it, because they had sacrificed the most to tame the island and surrounding land. While the Waco Assembly claimed they deserved the island, because they controlled all the fishing and boats around the island. The remaining two assemblies, Lufkin and Pasadena, did not stake any claims. This resulted in a short war, of 232 days, which resulted in the end of the Arlington Assembly and the victory of the Waco Assembly. The Lufkin and Conroe Assembly, were forced to move off the island, or become apart of Waco.

After this war, the Conroe Assembly returned to the Conroe area, and the remaining assemblies named themselves after the towns in which the inhabited. Lufkin would change their name to League City and Pasadena would return to the Pasadena area. With the assemblies so spread out, however, they had to decide a way in which to govern the assemblies. They decided to keep Galveston as the name of their state, but put the capital in League City, because they were neutral during the war. Unfortunately, whenever a new leader is chosen, they generally remain with their assembly. Eventually, Galveston grew so large as to encompass everything from Texarkana in the north, to Lake Jackson in the south, from Orange in the east, to Waco in the west. Due to this increase in size, 2 more assemblies were made, Waco and Tyler. This brings the number of assemblies to a total of 6, Galveston, League City, Pasadena, Conroe, Waco and Tyler. All remaining territories were put under one of these group's control, with Houston being split between League City, Pasadena and Conroe. No major events took place between 2083 and 2100, save for the category 3 hurricane in 2091, which killed the current Assembly Head who was from Conroe, but in Galveston at the time. After relief efforts had ended, the Pasadena Assembly was put in charge of the nation, with them still maintaining control till this day.

There, he would turn his native Silesia into a humming belt of 3D-Printing factories, churning out everything from car parts to vital organs needed for the EU’s vast Healthcare Initiative. Buying select parts of land, he foresaw the nuclear conflict as soon as the 2030s, often aligning himself with clandestine government agencies and planning the inevitable destruction of the world. With only a few decades before the utter collapse of Civilization, scattered vaults across Europe would house communities of pre-selected survivors and the foodstuffs needed to recolonize the world. By the time the first Resource Conflicts occured, Dr. Havel would find himself as Minister of the European Population Preservation Project, where he devoted as much of the depleting resources of both World Wars to his vault projects, where tens of thousands of Europeans would be gradually accustomed to the life under the pretense of “eco-friendly shelters”. Ironic, for when nuclear hellfire did emerge, there was not much of the ecosystem left, and when it grew back, it wasn’t friendly.

Due to his efforts, Havel’s headquarters in Ostrava and the surrounding Silesia region was filled with cryogenically sealed persons, livestock, and a preserved ecosystem. Over the years of slumber, many began to view technology as a sacred item. While many understand its importance, and Silesia attempts to pass itself off as an odd blend of monarchy and technocracy, whispers among the half-radiated bands of outsiders speak of walking men of iron with weapons of quiet lightning. Of with eyes of steel, surveying ominously the lands surrounding them while the Selected slept in their cryo chambers, guiding the slightly feralized tribes of mankind and salvagers into his vanguard, granting them knowledge of weapons, food, and power. A man, many worry, who bears a striking resemblance to Dr. Havel, who should be dead, even in the best case scenarios.

History: China remained with a not much changing government until 2040, when rebels began to spring up due to realizing they were not valued by the companies and the government, recruiting millions of unemployed people. They got control of already intact industry and tech to wage war on the government. By the end of the 2040s, the rebellions were squashed, but had a lasting effect on the views of the people.

When WWIII began, people stuck together and worked long and hard to keep themselves afloat in the war, for a bit the two billion inhabitants had quite a bit of bonding. An underground pacifist and democratic secret society grew during this time, planning on a coup.

The Chinese and their alliance is victorious is the world war, and they were under an easily moved president, who gave into most policy demands, but like his predecessors throughout the 21st century, he never opened up democratic elections, and thats what the secret society hated about him. They planned to stage a coup to end the twelve decade long leadership of the ruling party in 2070, but a year before the nuclear war happened, and China’s megacities that grew through half a century of hard work were collaterally damaged. People ran into the vaults and closed the doors behind them, but because of the nation’s shear population, a few hundred million were left outside to die out, only 3 million surviving outside the bunkers, known today as “survivors.”

In the years of the vault, the central government of China was combined to the bunker network of Beijing-Tianjin, so the society used the opportunity to name themselves as the rightful government of China, and troops throughout most outlying bunkers announced that they were liberated. And that their government was in Shanghai waiting to serve them. When people got out of their bunkers and started rebuilding. Many pledged allegiance and left for Shanghai to make a living, others stayed where they were, but the central government in Beijing had been overthrown by a quick uprising months before they got out of their bunkers.

Different cities formed different mini-governments, but in Shanghai, people from around China were being attracted to move into a democratic government, where levels of citizenship had to be earned by work and loyal service in order to get more rights, such as voting. China had set goals to expand outside of the central-western part of the megacity of Shanghai that they were in, looking for new residents to help rebuild the urban areas.

By the year 2089, the ruins of the great river city were teeming with growing communities and survivalist refuges. The people hunted and farmed as well as scavenged for food from the ruins throughout the city. Trade began amongst the local communities and renovation of the ruined city began. It seemed that Vicksburg was now a haven of safety for those who had survived.

However, things would drastically change in the year 2097. A large horde of gritty and hard nosed survivalists would arrive in Vicksburg, lead by a man who simply called himself “Victor the Red”.
Victor and his followers were large in number and heavily armed with salvaged military weapons and equipment. Victor and his men rounded up the locals, and declared himself the new Chairman of Vicksburg. Many of the locals opposed Victor and his imposing rule. Victor ordered them killed and their belongings and resources claimed for “the state”. He and his men secured the city and instilled their new form of socialist government. Victor named his new order “The United Order of Vicksburg” and adapted the Stennis Mississippi state flag as his banner.

Three years later, Vicksburg and the surrounding area has been secured by “The Order”, and many people have since thrown in with the Chairmans’ philosophy and regime. The state is emphasized above all. The people are all expected to contribute to the State, young and old. Criminals are used as slave labor, conscription is used to strengthen the military, and mass rennovation projects are carried out across the city. An effort to build a new centre for mankind’s survival.

Since securing and unifying Vicksburg and the surrounding area of southern Mississippi, Victor and his regime have turned to expansion into the surrounding territories.
