Born in the late 1970's Bowen was the child of a police officer in the Boston PD and a mother who owned a flowering business, brother to Marie Bowen who was born in 1987. Bowen was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 8 shortly before his sister was born and although he was good in several subjects in school he always struggled with more attention focused subjects like Mathematics. Since childhood James showed admiration for his fathers work and this may be indication of his current profession. At the age of 14 the Bowen family was involved car accident with a drunken driver, James and Marie survived but not their parents. Both children were put in Child Protective Services and eventually taken in by their uncles from their dad's side, James and Marie grew up normally but the death of their parents took a heavy toll on both of them.
James finished high school despite his disorder and was able to graduate Boston University with a degree in law, he entered the State Police soon after. James served as a state trooper for a time, receiving a medal for heroism after uncovering a human trafficking den in a home of Plymouth, he was made detective in a few years afterwards. Working on the narcotics department showed Bowen's skills with drug related cases as he and his team were able to track down a heroin smuggling operation in Boston which involved a city councilor as well. Despite this breakthrough in his career Bowen also demonstrated a lack of team work traits as the reports of his colleagues describe him as controlling and thick headed when coming to his own conclusion and not accepting otherwise.
Despite this shortcomings Bowen continued work in the narcotics division all the way until he solved the Baker case where the 10 year old Angela Baker had been drugged, molested, and her body found in a ditch outside Boston, by what he describes was a process of elimination as well as perceptiveness Bowen uncovered it was Baker's own piano teacher who had done the act, Bowen was commended for this case. The Baker case showcased Bowen's abilities in the narcotics and homicide realm and he was soon transferred into the homicide department, most especially cases related to drugs. For his extensive record Bowen was assigned to the Massachusetts Serial Homicide Task Force now tasked with the Williams Case.
On a more personal record, Bowen was married to a women named Nicole Beckam from 2003 to 2014 when they filed for divorce, Nicole citing general displeasure with the marriage and Bowen leaving no comment. They had no children and thus had kept no contact, the last whereabouts of Mrs. Beckam are in New York. Bowen keeps contact with his sister and his uncles, however he has a displeasure of his sister's husband, reason unknown. BASIC BACKGROUND: Halberd was born on the 17th of November, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois as an only child. A second generation immigrant, he was born the child of East German immigrants who had fled from political persecution. His mother, Anna Driesler was at the time working as a chef at a local diner and his late father, Hans Driesler worked as a medical practitioner.
Halberd was described to be very close with his father, often being seen accompanying him on working days and assisting. It is known that his knowledge of shooting was developed through training with his father at a shooting range, preparing him for such situations where it would be necessary. His closeness to his father can be reflected through the common references in his work and conversations about his father and his empathy for the death of the parents of others.
During his schooling years, he consistently achieved high results and aspired to follow in the footsteps of his father in the medical field. In 1999, Hans Driesler was murdered after being held at gunpoint in an armed robbery which was thought to prompt Halberd into the path of law enforcement. Abraham served a pivotal role in the arrest of three known bank robbers who had robbed the First Republic Bank in Boston, in 2014, something he was commemorated for. He would aid in several investigations by other elements of the State Police and eventually was recommended to become a detective by one of the higher ups that had been following him for some time. He passed the Civil Service exam along with the various background checks rather well, and so was hired on as a detective by the state police.
Potlatch would be assigned to investigate various homicides and kidnappings in the three years since his enrollment as a detective, however being uninvolved in the major terror crisis' including and following the Boston Bombing. Some of his fellow detectives consider this unfortunate for Potlatch, as the culture of the Massachusetts State Police changed towards counter terrorism meant he would be sent into obscurity as far as career hounding went, Potlatch thought little of it. He made a small name for himself within the department after solving the O' Neil homicide case in 2017 and appeared in local news, however his chances at furthering his career seems to have stagnated since then after some minor slip ups. With his previous experience with Homicide cases and his lack of being needed elsewhere, Potlatch was assigned to the Massachusetts Serial Homicide Task Force in November of 2018.

Detective Elizabeth Cooke is, generally speaking, abide the law as MP, with by-the-book approach. Not necessarily because she liked it, but because as a military officer they are supposed to do things the by-the-book way though it is generally not encouraged to not do the opposite. She has her ambition on higher ranks, but it is notable to note that the approach of ambition that she took didn’t work properly in the military since, well, not much things to do, not a lot of cases. After all, she’s part of the base law enforcement, not NCIS.
Generally speaking, Elizabeth is friendly person, with ambition behind her friendliness. BASIC BACKGROUND:
Born on February 1981, Elizabeth was the sole child and daughter of construction worker father and cleaner mother. The three lived poorly, due to her father’s not regular job (only available in projects), though he took several part-time jobs as well, while her mother worked normally but paid minimally. Despite the living conditions, it was a loving childhood for her. However, even from her childhood she already developed the need for more money, wanting more money, as an ambition, for a better living condition. At first, she joined a band in middle school and even joined Band Club in high school, seeing musicians as a career choice for incomes. However, she endured struggles with getting the necessary income to keep herself and her family in a good living condition, not helped when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her father converted to Buddhism while in the process of finding a solution, in the process invited his wife and Elizabeth to convert, though his wife declined.
After graduated from high school, a career in musician was a struggle, and she saw an opportunity of stable wage from the military, and thus she joined the USMC, firstly as recruit. She met her mother, one last time, after graduated from Basic Training School, before she joined the School of Infantry. She experienced stress because of her inability to helped her mother when she died during her schooling period in School of Infantry. In spite of her stress, she able to passed just fine. Later on, she went to join the Provost Marshal as part of MP for the USMC. 6 years in the service, her last month involved getting her into a conflict with a Sergeant, ended up with altercation. She was discharged the following week, speeded up by 6 months, as she was leaving the military to get closer to her father, though the Sergeant was also discharged the following week as well. In between the times in the military, she graduated with a Liberal Arts degree from a university, intended to work in Arts once more. However, it was again a struggle, and this time, her father was admitted into hospital. Not in the mood of losing her father, she switched career path to law enforcement, beginning with Quincy PD academy.
Her time in Quincy PD revolved around efficiency in her assigned cases, patrol duties, and even the one time she was admitted into hospital for bullets into the chest. She married her husband, Jason Stanford, a fellow police officer. At this point the struggle was real as her father was admitted into psychiatric care and she began to took bribes in order to pay her father’s care normally. By 2016 the relationship with her husband took a dive when she found out he was cheating on her with another man. A divorce and messy custody trial resulted in him taking their son since he was in a better living condition. She was transferred on 2017 to Massachusetts and transferred into the Task Force on the Williams Case, by 2018.
