Presuming she's with the Young Guardians, we're currently on break in Sardinia so write up her doing whatever.

We also time skipped to sunset.

The team from the Night Whispers mission should be returning to the resort soon, too, and it's around time to get dinner if you needed to know what to post for.

I'm interested in putting up a villain application, what caliber of the opposition are you guys looking for? Low-Mid level goons to let the heroes test their mettle on or high-level bosses that require the entire team to bring down?

We're actually looking for members of the Prodigy Initiative. Maybe an instructor or two also if you want to play someone older than that. As for caliber, that depends although obviously instructors are stronger than recruits generally.

His motive is that he hates people such as drug dealers, people that buy prostitutes, etc.

And he's working with a large criminal organization, albeit a mysterious one that doesn't show a lot of details publicly. Where do you think their funding is coming from?

MAËL MERCIER

Name: Maël Mercier
Nickname/Alias: Link
Appearance:
[Image

Gender: Male
Age: 29
Build: 185.4 cm (6'1 ft) and 81.6 kg (180 lbs)
Faction: Prodigy Initiative
Power Classification: Genetic

Description of Powers: Maël can form a telepathic link with someone he touches and is able to maintain that link for a limited duration after touching. He can read the surface thoughts of those he touches. In order to delve further in to someone's mind, he has to remain in physical contact with the person he is touching. However, to have your mind peered in to by Maël is like having a red hot spike driven slowly through the head. If a will is particularly strong, the damage is greater. Some people he has "mind spiked' have been left drooling idiots. He is also able to listen in on up to five people after touching them, as long as they remain within two hundred meters of him. Those 1-5 people can also communicate between each other, Maël merely acting as the telepathic anchor between them. He can communicate with them as well, provided he focuses on that individual.

While technically not a power, he is also quite proficient in the use of firearms and combat survival due to his upraising and what he has done since childhood. While not necessarily powers, they approach near metahuman levels in intuition. Instead, they reveal Maël's character and his utter focus on his craft.

Weaknesses: Typically, those people who have some sort of telepathic or any other mental-based power can resist him for longer. If he attempts to telepathically link with more than five people his mind will snap and he will enter a catatonic state for up to 24 hours. Also, a particularly aware individual will have a weird feeling of exposure with Maël observing their thoughts. If, for any reason he loses physical contact with someone he is 'mind spiking' and he will be hurt, knocked unconscious for 36 hours and waking with temporary amnesia and drowsiness. Meanwhile, he has typical human strength, speed, durability, etc.

Equipment: AZM Field Match loaded with hollow jacket 45. Keeps it in a shoulder holster under his jacket. A pair of BBros Model 2022 .380 ACP Pistols on his hips. In an ankle holster, he has a MMI EP-3085 Pistol that fires .30 calibre rounds. In the field he replaces the jacket with a tactical vest and carries variants of the AK-337 depending on the mission parameters.

Alignment: Neutral Evil
Nationality: French
Hometown: Lille, France
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Maël puts up a frosty reserve and calculated coldness when first meeting people, a kind of distance that keeps people back through sheer menace and cold stare. The gleam of his eyes are not that of silver, but pure ice. Often people have remarked if there is any connection within his mind with the real world around him and the one going on between his eyes. He acts as if nothing fazes him; death, love, insults, it is all the same to him. For this reason alone, very few have stayed long within his company and they never had anything good to say of him either. When he speaks, it is with a arrogant bearing that seems to come natural to him; that of haughtiness and snide temperament.

To those who have remained in his company for long, they realize often that the cold shell begins to fall away and a rather crude and common speech begins to spew forth from his mouth. The coldness is gone, replaced with sheer manic, murderous glee at the world around him, characterized by a twinkling in the eye often as he is stabbing some poor innocent to death. When he does speak, it is often rude or crude or both depending on just how much alcohol he has consumed or just how angry he has become. For you see, the professionalism and comfortable Maël's are two completely different people. One is the cold distant predator, one surveying the kill before moving in to strike. The other is the gleeful murderer who, from a distance viewed the threat, has moved in to strike and is enjoying every moment of the kill.

However, it should be stated that Maël's discipline allows him to control this murderous impulse that makes up the core of his belief. Rarely does Maël lose control and let lose the murderous beast inside him, and only when he knows the pleasures outweigh the risks.

Unfortunately for Maël, very few get to see this gleefully insane side of Maël, a minority wanting to remain in his company for that long, the remainder is only occupied by the dead. The core of Maël is made up of avarice, rage, and hate. There is no room for love, no understanding. People are pawns to be moved out of the way of him achieving what he truly wants; wealth and power. Those unlucky enough to be caught in his path tend to live short violent lives and an even more horrible death.

Maël respects power, and is attracted to it in all it’s forms, but mostly from those with wealth. For this reason, Maël can be very easily swayed by people in power. For Maël , it is a very strange feeling. On one level he envies that person their power, and even grows to eventually hate that person that wields that power. However, for all that, Maël will simply watch and listen while silently contemplating the death of said person in position of power. In time, Maël will grow bored and move on or, in rare cases, attempt to claim whatever power that one wields.
Motivation: Maël is a simple man at heart. As long as he is allowed to do as he wishes without reprisal, make a decent wage, and be left alone, he's anyone's man for the right amount of money.

Biography: Maël was a normal child up until the advent of the Swarm War when he was ten. His mother had died when he was three from a massive aneurysm and his father was often away at the pub. However, somehow his father found his patriotic spirit and joined up with the French military. He never came back. Maël, his father gone and left to his own devices, was left to live on the streets of Lille while the city prepared for the war effort. Eventually, he got noticed by a street gang of other urchins and teenagers and began robbing homes and people to make enough to eat that night.

Maël began to notice his powers when he was sixteen, after he got caught and sent to a juvenile detention center. In the middle of getting beat down by the gang in the detention center, he found he could see what they were thinking. Using this knowledge, he beat them down and was left alone after that. It also gave him an idea of what he was to do after he got out.

Maël joined the French Foreign Legion right at eighteen where he excelled at weapon training and communications. It was during this time that he saw what he could do, using his power to infiltrate secure locations or find out information on targets for the FFL. However, he wanted more. In 2017, he dropped off the radar and began operating independently for multiple factions as an outside interrogator, hitman, and general mercenary. He made quite a name for himself in the Middle East and Africa where he was known for his brutal interrogation techniques as well as being bestial against enemy combatants and noncombatants.

By 2020, he was an internationally top rated independent mercenary, mostly doing criminal jobs such as heists or search and destroy missions in third world countries. However, many organizations, particularly the DRMR, wanted him apprehended and he had increasingly become at odds with the Guardians. It was in 2021 that he was noticed by the New Order and his capabilities were exploited to their fullest extent. For an unknown but hefty monthly stipend, he was promised a staff position in their Prodigy Initiative and chances for bonuses to come his way as long as he trained a bunch of would be villains on how to make money for the New Order.

IVYANNE FAECHILD

Name: Ivyanne Faechild
Nickname/Alias: Amaargi
Appearance:
Image

Image
*Note: Souls do not have clothes, so her soul always appears in the nude

Gender: Female
Age: The Current body is about 22, she's only just changed bodies a few days ago, but Ivyanne's soul is around 101 years old
Build: Her current body stands 155 cm (~5'1") and weighs about 44 kg (~98 lbs). Ivyanne's soul when Astral projected has a height of 160 cm (~ 5'3")
Faction: The Re:Lyfe Society
Power Classification: Magic
Description of Powers:
Ageless Body - Amaargi's body's biological clock has been stopped, and the body will no longer age. However, this doesn't mean the body will not die of old age. It will eventually reach a point where organs start failing, because only the exterior of the body has ceased aging.

Possessive Rebirth - Even if her mortal body is slain, as long as her spirit remains, she can possess a powerless individual anywhere in the world anywhere from a few days to a few months after her mortal body was slayed. When Amaargi's spirit possesses another person, the process of Amaargi taking the body over begins. The length of time it takes for Amaargi to gain total control depends on how her mortal body was slain. The slower or more brutal the death, the longer it takes for her to take over her unwilling host. Also, the mental state of her unwilling host can effect the time it takes for Amaargi to take the body over completely. The stronger the mind, the longer it takes. Finally, age also plays a role in determining how long it takes for Amaargi to take over. The more in the prime the victim, the longer it takes her. Generally Amaargi targets individuals that will take her a month at least to take over in her opinion.

Astral Projection - Amaargi is capable of isolating her spirit from her body. Once separated from the body, she can have her soul appear just about anywhere around the world, no matter how far she actually is. When she separates her spirit from her body by her own accords, the spirit is unable to interact physically with the world, nor can it possess bodies (unless the mortal body is killed while the spirit is separate). Her spirit when being used as an Astral Projection can only be used for communication.

Homonculi Creation - One of her most costly powers. Through the use of her magic, Amaargi is capable of bringing artificial life into the world in the form of homonculi. These human-looking magic lifeforms are overall better physically than normal humans, and those created by Amaargi tend to be infused with magic, leading to the homonculi developing magic of its own. Not only is a vast amount of magic required, but the same ingredients present in the human body are required. Sometimes, this means Amaargi makes use of corpses to create homonculi. Once the magic and ingredients are obtained, Amaargi needs the proper magic circle and facilities to not only create the homonculi but to nurture it until it reaches maturity. Homonculi can be created and mature in seven days, and can survive for up to 40 years.

Spell-Soul Weave - Something that Amaargi has taken to experimenting with as of late. While she can create homonculi with powers, those same homonculi have limits that metahumans are capable of matching and overcoming. Basically, homonculi are not perfect. So, recently she has turned to trying to turn helpless powerless individuals into powerful drones. To do this, Amaargi has developed the process known as Spell-Soul Weaving. The process allows for Amaargi to infuse ordinary people with vast quantities of magic. It does not work with everyone, and if it fails it is known to be fatal to the person she is attempting to use it on. If they survive however, they often find themselves with new found power, and a new found loyalty to Amaargi. Spell-Soul Weaving requires vast amounts of magic and time, as such it is not something Amaargi can do all the time.

Weaknesses: Amaargi lacks physical power, and it doesn't help that she often relies to much on her homonculi or Spell-Weaved followers or normal followers. Basically, she's not a fighter. She is also very arrogant, believing that she truly can not die, even though anything that damages the soul/spirit can be especially deadly to her. Sealing magic could also have an effect in ending her body hopping in death.

Equipment: Amaagri is not much of a fighter, and prefers to leave fighting to her homonculi, Spell-Weaved and other followers/allies. However, that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to fend for herself. She carries a M2 Panther form Vector Industries on her at all times, and is very skilled with it.
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Nationality: Welsih and British
Hometown: Cardiff, Wales, UK
Sexuality: Hetero

Personality: Ivyanne could be considered a complicated individual. She used to be a kind hearted, and caring individual. A person who would have likely stepped up to be a hero if it was required. She also had a notable lust for knowledge about all things from the past. She also understood that she was lucky to be born to her position and would never take advantage of it to take advantage of others. That was Ivyanne Faechild before the series of betrayals and deaths that would push her into playing the role she was seemingly forced to take.

After years of taking lives in order to survive to see a world were she would never be betrayed, her personality is much more distant from the kind hearted, caring woman she once was. It isn't a complete change, as you could say that certain aspects of her old personality have been enhanced over the years, while others have faded.

Now Ivyanne is defined by her cold heart, mistrust of most people and a cunning mind. Even those she considers allies, she views with a healthy dose of paranoia. All she cares about now is establishing her idea world. A world where no one would dare to betray her. As such, she will due whatever necessary to achieve that dream. Which explained why despite ultimately preferring isolation, Ivyanne could be found in the company of the Re:Lyfe Society.

Her cold heart is best exemplified through the fact she cares nothing for life. She will kill without hesitation if it will further her goals. Ivyanne will only bloody her hands if absolutely necessary, and tends to leave the dealing with threats to her dream to her allies, followers and creations. Despite this, her hands are not clean of blood, as she regularly performs dangerous tests on regular people, and most do not survive some of her tests. Her playing with the creation and altering of life along wiht her ability to return after the death of her mortal body have lead to Ivyanne developing a rather high degree of arrogance and a minor god complex.

Despite all this, she does still have some warmth deep within her heart. The creations she does not sell, and keep among her at the Re:Lyfe Society experience this warmth on the regular, as she truly sees them as her children. Even the Soul-Weaved are viewed as children to Ivyanne, as long as she doesn't plan to sell them off. Her closest allies do also tend to see hints of her kinder side.
Motivation: Establish a world were no one would dare betray her

Biography:Born in Cardiff, Wales, UK, back in 1923 to a rather wealthy family, Ivyanne Faechild had a fairly normal childhood that could be expected of her. However, throughout her childhood, Ivyanne demonstrated a passion for learning, a genius in the occult, history, mythology and legends of old, in addition to behaviour that was most definitely improper of her birth. It was when she was 12 that her father moved the family from Cardiff to London, for his business. For the next few years, not much changed. But then the Second World War began.

Three years after the war began, Ivyanne now 19 years of age, she was alone. Her father went off to fight and died during the battle of Dunkirk, and her mother had been killed by German bombs during the blitz, leaving her the family fortune. At the time, the fortune meant nothing to Ivyanne, as she had more important work for the Allies. You see, she was among a number of experts employed by the Allies to investigate the occult, as the Nazi's where also looking into the occult.

It was during this time that she would make a discovery. Ivyanne discovered that not only was magic possible, but she was gifted with it. She made this discovery in 1943 while she was overseas, in the Middle East, pursuing an artifact that Allied intelligence had determined that the Nazi's were seeking. The discovery was made as Ivyanne was reading ancient tablets, and decided to attempt to follow the instructions on the tablet. While she didn't know it at the time, she managed to cast an ancient spell on her soul that would allow her to survive even if her mortal body was killed.

Ivyanne would not learn the effects of the spell until a few days later, when she was shot and killed by a Nazi spy, and woke up a few days later in a new body. That new body just happened to be the body of the spy that killed her. It was with that discovery, that the realization that she had stumbled upon the reality of magic. Recovering the tablet, she made her way back to Britain, but was arrested upon her claiming to be Ivyanne.

Upon arrival to Britain, she would meet up with a friend, another expert in the occult, and then she'd explain what happened to her. Luckily, her friend believed her, unfortunately, her friend wasn't as trustworthy as Ivyanne originally believed. She would wake up the next morning, with the tablet stolen, and military police busting in to arrest her. Her friend decided to report her as a German spy, who had killed Ivyanne. No matter how much she tried to prove to be Ivyanne, no one listened.

Betrayed, and sentenced to death after spending weeks being treated like a villain, Ivyanne was broken when she was killed once again. A month later, she woke up in a new body once again. With yet another chance at life, Ivyanne made a decision and began to develop her god complex. She would no longer fully trust others, nor would she get involved in the petty conflicts of the world. No, she would begin living for herself. And in order to ensure that no one would betray her again, she'd begin her path to the very top. She would make it impossible for anyone to betray her again.

The first three things she did with this third chance of life were kill the friend who betrayed her, steal the tablet back, and then steal her family fortune. She would succeed at this, and then flee from Britain.

In 1946, Ivyanne would settle down in Brazil, and live a fairly quiet life. She would continue to advance her knowledge and skill with magic, and would soon be creating her first homonculi. It was far from perfect and only lasted a few days, but upon seeing it was possible, Ivyanne started to hone the process. She didn't isolate herself from the world, and did learn of the start of the Cold War.

As the years went on, Ivyanne noticed the body she inhabited was not aging, and that people had started to take notice. So, she made a decision. Every so often, she'd just disappear, kill her mortal body in a location where she would remember, and then take over a new body.

With her next body, she would re-obtain all her property, and then move from Brazil to the United States. As she moved, she came to the realization, that to obtain a world were no one would betray her, she'd need allies beyond what she could create and risk the chance of being betrayed. Not long after arriving in the United States of America she would learn about the youngest person to ever be accepted into MIT. From the age of the person who was accepted, Ivyanne assumed this child was no normal child. She would take a risk, and end her use of this short used body.

A month and a few weeks later, she managed to take control of the body of a classmate of a certain Luan Kruger. With this new body, Ivyanne was able to observe Luan for sometime, before deciding to make contact with the boy. She wouldn't do it physically however, as she had no idea if the boy was anything more than super intelligent. So, she would make use of a technique she had developed many years prior. Astral projection. It involved separating her soul from her body, and projecting the soul where ever she wished.

So, one night Luan had a visitor in his, in the form of the soul of Ivyanne. Due to it being her soul, it had her original appearance, and lacked clothing of any kind. After the initial surprise, she explained to him who she was, leaving nothing about her past out. Her discovery, her first death, the betrayal of her friend, and the subsequent vengeance she brought. Ivyanne however did not reveal her real name, instead giving him an alias. This would be the first time she would go by Amaagri.

But her story was not the only thing she shared with the young Luan. She also shared a dream. She wanted to see a world were no one would ever dare to betray her again. A world were she would never get stabbed in the back. Even if that meant making an army and making an enemy of the world, she'd do it. She explained that the only reason she decided to make contact with Luan was that in order for her to achieve this dream of hers, she needed allies, and she was willing to risk trusting Luan. With her past and her motivations she left him with one last sentence, "I will be watching you."

With that she left the young Luan, and then spent the next little while continuing to observe Luan. She would also continue to refine her process of making homonculi, so that by time she had no reason to remain at MIT, she had the knowledge to create near perfect homonculi. But, in classic Ivyanne fashion, instead of leaving the place in the mortal body she inhabited for the entirety of her time at MIT, she killed off her mortal body.

She would spend the later years of the 60s and early years of the 70s gathering more allies and followers, and would form the Re:Lyfe Society. With the Re:Lyfe Society created, all she needed now was a place to create a permanent base of operations, ideally isolated as much as possible. So, a handful of well placed bribes later, and the Inaccessible island of the Tristan da Cunha archipelago fell into the hands of the Re:Lyfe Society. With her own fortune, which she had kept throughout the years, and the aid of other members of the Re:Lyfe Society, construction on a rather meager compound under the surface of the Inaccessible island began.

There was a reason to Ivyanne founding the Re:Lyfe Society. Not only would she need power, and allies to achieve her dreams, but she would need money. Through the society she could gather allies and could eventually gather funds through selling something not many people in the underworld would be able to. She would use the Re:Lyfe Society to gain funds through the sale of homonculi of her creation.

The first batch of Re:Lyfe Society Homonculi were ready for sale by 1978, and would be sold off individually to criminal organizations around the world for a rather hefty price. With the money from the homonculi sale, the Re:Lyfe Society compound began its steady expansion. With better facilities, Ivyanne would be able to create better homonculi for use by the Society and for sale. Ivyanne's power base was growing, but no where as quickly as the base of power that belonged to the Luan.

In 1989, Ivyanne would once again Astral project her soul to meet with Luan once again. She would surprise the successful business man by appearing in his personal office, and just looking out a window at what Luan had created. While Ivyanne had intended to surprise him, she was the one who was surprised when Luan used her real name and shared how much he had dug up about her. After the surprise, they caught up shortly, and then got to business.

Ivyanne came with an offer. She offered to sell homonculi to Luan at a discounted rate, if he would come to her and the Re:Lyfe Society's aid if it was ever requested. Of course, she and the Re:Lyfe Society would do whatever they could to aid Luan if he ever needed it, beyond just selling him homonculi. Of course, she knew that Luan would want a demonstration of what the homonculi could do, and so she offered a demonstration. Of course, she offered the demonstration on neutral ground, and told Luan she would understand if he brought some guards with him. Once he agreed, she gave him coordinates to an abandoned factory in Brasilia, Brazil, where she would meet with him face to face, and show him what a homonculus could do.

A few days later, Ivyanne would meet face to face with Luan for the first time. She would be accompanied by a single male being. A homonculi of her creation. She would have the homonculi put on a show for Luan. It would show off its physical superiority to top level athletes as it broke records with ease. Only after it showed off its physical ability, Ivyanne would instruct it to demonstrate magical abilities that it had developed. Throughout the demonstration, Ivyanne would also explain to Luan that this was a rather simple homonculi, and that she could make ones more powerful than what she was showing, given enough time and resources. She also explained that it had a limited life span of about 40 years, but that was just a side-effect of the power that homonculi carried with them.

The deal was eventually made after Luan had time to deliberate. Now, with an incredibly wealthy customer, and ally, Ivyanne returned to the Re:Lyfe Society's compound and continued her work with making homonculi. She would teach other members of the society ways to assist her in making homonculi, but she would never reveal the full secrets of her trade.

She would remain in contact with Laun, but would mostly keep to herself. During the Swarm's arrival, she began to create more powerful homonculi, to protect the Society, and offered them free of charge to Luan. She also offered them to other groups, but for a price.

Not long after the Swarm debacle, Ivyanne would reach what she believed to be the pinnacle of her homonculi creation. She saw that while the homonculi were great in their own right, they were imperfect. Especially when compared to certain metahumans. For her dream to become a reality, she needed more power beyond what homonculi were capable of. She needed something that could be superior to homonculi. She needed artificially created metahumans. She had heard it was possible, and so she started to investigate using her magic to artificially create metahumans.

She experimented and soon started to develop what she called spell-soul weaving with other members of the Re:Lyfe Society. They would take the powerless who sought power, and subjected them to rigorous tests, exercise routines, spiritual cleansing and drugs to prepare their soul and body for the extremely dangerous process.

The rest is history.

GUSTAVO MONTREAL

Name: Gustavo Montreal
Nickname/Alias: Iblis (ex: Atlas)
Appearance:
Brown hair with green eyes, Gustavo is well muscled and stands out as an imposing figure. Once handsome, his face is marred by crystalline scales that now covers half of his body.

Gender: Male
Age: 36
Build: 7 feet, 270 lbs
Faction: Prodigy Initiative
Power Classification: Genetic/Artificial

Description of Powers:

Super Strength: he is capable of smashing through walls and bending metal. His strength also aids his movement as he is able to hop and jump great distances. Using his strength drains his stamina which liable to run out if he is engaged in a protracted fight. If he lands a punch on a regular human at full strength, it is likely the person will not survive.

Regeneration: He can heal most wounds with the only exceptions being massive damage to his head and heart. The rate of regeneration depends on the availability of nutrients and time. The caveat is that the mass from his regeneration does not come out of nowhere and is looted from the rest of his body. If he takes enough damage that he is forced to self cannibalize vital organs, the regeneration process slows and eventually stops.

Unnaturally Tough His skin and especially his bones are unusually strong but not to the point that he is invulnerable to regular firearms or massive trauma. The exception is the areas of his skin that is covered with crystalline scales. The scales clock at a hardness rating of 8 on the mohs scale and grow on areas where he had received consistently severe damage. These scales cover just over half of his body, concentrating on his chest, his back, the right side of his face and his left leg.

Weaknesses: He lacks mobility and lacks ranged options. His regeneration abilities also have limits and burns through his reserves, temporally weakening him whilst he is healing. He had two weak points; his chest, which has now become mostly invulnerable due to the presence of his scales and his head. A headshot by a firearm of a significant enough caliber will instantly kill him.

Equipment: Heavy body armor that can withstand small caliber gunfire. Several nutrient solutions that aids and speed up his regenerative abilities. Varied close quarters weapons but favors a massive reinforced battleaxe.

Alignment: Neutral Evil
Nationality: American
Hometown: Dallas
Sexuality: Hetero

Personality: Calm and professional. Also bit of a cynic and has a poor sense of humor.
Motivation: To rescue his brother from prison

Biography: Gustavo and his half-brother Alphonse were not born as metahumans but instead acquired their powers through the patronage of an unknown entity. Renowned adventurers and treasure hunters, the two brothers tracked down the mystical ‘fruit of power’ to a hidden monastery at the summit of a Tibetan mountain. Once inside the temple, they were faced with numerous guardians and trials of which they passed, if barely. At last, they came upon the fabled fruit presented in front of them by a cloaked figure.

Instead of fighting to the death for the singular fruit as the cloaked figure heavily implied, Alphonse ate half the fruit and shared the rest with his brother. The cloaked figure was notably miffed at this development and the two subsequently found themselves faced down in the mud at the base of the mountain. The monastery and the mountain it was situated upon were never seen again. Whatever the case, they were both endowed with powers through the consumption of part of the fruit. Alphonse gained the ability to fly and laser powers while Gustavo acquired super strength and rapid regeneration. Alphonse hypothesized that whoever consumed the fruit in its entirety would have gained all of their combined powers and be akin to a god. Not ones to dwell on what could have been, the two brothers returned to the states, thoroughly satisfied with their gains.

In the beginning, the two of them used their powers for good, becoming the famed ‘Golden Warriors’ of Dallas. Although it was just Alphonse and Gustavo in the beginning, the duo, now called Solaris and Atlas respectively, proved to be a potent force. Atlas’s striking power coupled with Solaris mobility made them more than a match for most opponents. However, soon after their meteoric rise in the heroic hierarchy, the two of them begun noticing changes happening to themselves. Gustavo began growing disfiguring crystalize scales on areas of his body that experience significant damage. Alphonse started to experience severe mood swings and an intensification of his emotions. Anger, grief, and passion constantly warred with one another in Alphonse’s head and it was the last that proved to be his undoing. Two years after their heroic debut, a reporter managed to take a photo of Alphonse romantically engaged with an underage fangirl.

The backlash was immediate and unrelenting. Alphonse and to a degree, Gustavo, became pariahs both to the public and other heroes. The girl’s parents pressed charges and a team of heroes arrested Alphonse. The trial was public and the judge, stating that an “example needed to be made that no one is above the law” and charged Alphonse with statutory rape, sentencing him to 30 years in prison. Gustavo was outraged and tried to get the verdict reversed legally citing Alphonse’s mental degradation. This did not work and Gustavo then tried to break his brother from prison physically. Just as he was about to succeed, Gustavo was stopped not by the prison guards, but a team of heroes, some of whom the duo used to work with in the past and once count as their friends. Gustavo was forced to retreat and his brother was then transferred to a specially built prison for the most dangerous of villains.

Disgusted by what he saw as a betrayal by the other heroes and public who they had protected, Gustavo abandoned his persona as the Atlas. He retired from being a hero and for almost ten years, nothing was heard of him. During that time, he traveled the world, working as a mercenary and accumulating the resources he needs to free his brother. He eventually becomes involved with the organization backing the Prodigy Initiative and was assigned by them to teach the young metahumans the ‘practical applications’ of villainy.

Looks mostly fine. I just have one minor balance thing to change, if you're going to be one of the strongest metahumans in the world and not just have average level super strength you'd probably have to drop the regeneration or lower the level of it for balance reasons.

Since there's still some days to the time skip and we're on a social break right now, I thought it'd be interesting to post this survey right now where you can list your character's opinions of all of the other active characters in the Young Guardians Program. It's completely optional, of course, and you can not answer for characters they would have no opinion of, but it might be useful in figuring out what everyone thinks of each other / who's friends with who.

You can answer with a statement, an IC quote, or whatever.

Sophia's Opinion Survey

[All names are crossed out]

[At the bottom, in poor handwriting]
Everyone: Mild dislike. People who want to be heroes don't get along with me. I knew that in Section A, little's changed. No exceptions to the rule. And those who are here for other reasons are here for other reasons I don't care for or whatever. I do my job, I don't bother anyone, and I hope they don't bother me in return. I'm comfy, I have food and water and shelter and most of the time no risk to life and limb. Some have tried to... I guess befriend is a generous term, since all they've done is annoy me. I don't need company if I have all that. I wouldn't object, but... I guess I'm just looking for the right type of person, and they don't end up here it seems.

Maybe I'll go hunting elsewhere. Somewhere I actually feel like I belong.

Aaand filled it out for Kodiak. She's not the most social if you couldn't tell.

Kodiak Marsden's Opinion Survey

Opinion of Jack Dredd: An idiot and a child. I don't like him. I'm not cool with him. Don't ask me to save him if it comes down to bailing him out or getting away.

Opinion of Brock James: I don't know much about him, but I think he's aligned with Jack, so there's that.

Opinion of Kodiak Marsden:

Opinion of Serge Easton-Roux: Seems too reckless for my taste.

Opinion of Bellamy Lys: Too full of herself and not level headed enough, an unreliable commanding officer. I'm just glad that she's only mission control and not a real CO. Seems alright outside of her job.

Opinion of Lora/Gwen: Not mentally strong enough to be a hero. I don't want to be on a mission with her because I'm sure she's going to break any minute.

Opinion of Alasdair Francis Damon:

Opinion of Sophia Rykova: There's nothing to make me like her, but I don't see any bullshit with her either.

Opinion of Soli Vanhanen: I don't like her, really.

Opinion of Nev Hurn: I find it hard to rely on someone like him, whose power relies on things that don't follow normal rules.

Opinion of Sage Shields: I'm not sure what I feel about her. It feels very much like we're from the same place. I don't have many friends but maybe... She's a friend.

Opinion of Charlie Burkhall:

Opinion of Jacob Philander:

Opinion of Elek Mohave: He's dead average. But don't put me on a team with him again. Average gets people killed.

Opinion of Zekulu Nazwari:

Opinion of Andrew Marks: Who let this guy be a hero? He's softer than fucking toilet paper.

Opinion of Eamon Donovan:

Opinion of Kallen Rossweiss: Keep her the fuck away from me before I shoot her.

Jack Dredd hero opinions babey!

Jack Dredd"s Opinion Survey

Opinion of Jack Dredd: Real radical dude

Opinion of Brock James: Also real radical dude

Opinion of Kodiak Marsden: Absolute hardass, though I get why she doesn't much like me

Opinion of Serge Easton-Roux: Barely know him, but from his file he's a tad reckless, which I can relate to

Opinion of Bellamy Lys: (Insert Space Odyssey joke here)

Opinion of Lora/Gwen: Put my eye back in, which puts her real high on my "list of people I'd take a bullet for"

Opinion of Alasdair Francis Damon: Reliable man. Good fighter. Not much else to say.

Opinion of Sophia Rykova: Antisocial, which docks her a little, but also seems incredibly effective. Also helped make sure the tean saving Soli didn't get fried, which was very nice of her

Opinion of Soli Vanhanen: I didn't get an eye put out to end up disliking her

Opinion of Nev Hurn: Honestly? From his file, he seems a genius

Opinion of Sage Shields: She scares me just a little, with her power set. Still, I could totally take her in an arm wrestle

Opinion of Charlie Burkhall: I'd tell you if I knew

Opinion of Jacob Philander: See above

Opinion of Elek Mohave: Cool dude. Rooming with him, so I'm obligated to like him

Opinion of Zekulu Nazwari: Good combat skills, nice guy. Rate 8/10

Opinion of Andrew Marks: Never much liked snakes, but the guy commanding them's on my side, so they oughta be fine. Don't know him, but he's a hero, so cool guy in my book

Opinion of Eamon Donovan: Could beat me in an arm wrestle, which I do not like. Still, he's on the right side

Opinion of Kallen Rossweiss: Uhh... Well, she's got spirit, most definitely. Also seems concerned for everyone's welfare, which is a fine trait to have

LUKA DIASAMIDZE

Name: Luka Diasamidze
Nickname/Alias: Archon
Appearance:
Image

Gender: Male
Age:
Build: 7 260lbs
Faction: Prodigy Initiative
Power Classification: Genetic
Description of Powers:
Aurerum Sperarum – Luka can summon three solid golden spheres that constantly float in circles around him. Each sphere has a diameter of 10cms and weight 10kg. Spheres can be moved individually or as a whole in straight motions at a speed of 50 km/h up to a range of 100mts. Each of this spheres can used to create one of the following:
Large feathery golden wings that appear on his back and allow him to fly at horizontal speeds of 50 km/h
A large, blinding explosion of light sourcing from a sphere, after which it will disappear.
A golden javelin which will explode once it comes into contact with something. The javelin will disappear once detonated. (The explosion would be approximately to that of a hellfire missile strike)
A nearly impervious force-field that last 10 seconds
A golden broadsword that is able to cut through most light and medium armors.
Once a sphere has been expended or used to create something, then it cannot be summoned again for 10 minutes.
While not a power, he is in peak physical condition.

Weaknesses:
Limited charges – Luka is limited to three spheres in reserve or in use, and is limited by the amount of spheres available, if he expends all of them in quick succession, then he will be essentially powerless for the next 10 minutes. Particularly susceptible against continuous attacks, long fights, and attrition.

Equipment: Nothing of note.

Alignment: True Neutral
Nationality: Georgian
Hometown: Tblisi
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Personality: Although generally quite stoic and collected, he is incredibly passionate and ambitious regarding his long term goals. He is borderline megalomaniac, and acts condescendingly and with great disdain towards metas that he feels are “wasting their talents” or pursue simple desires. He is however, rather sympathetic to those that suffered because of their powers or unwillingly received artificial ones. Upholds a rather strict code of conduct, he is unwilling to kill anyone who is not directly a target or a threat.
Motivation: Short term: to gain renown and find like-minded individuals term. Long term: the extended survival of both humans and metahumans, the implementation of a new global government preceded by metahumans.

Biography: WIP

Powers look acceptable for staff.

Also - and the story details on this are pending and will be up in the IC soon - the next time skip will have a special mission, titled Purgatory. I say special because we're heading to Tokyo and fighting the Slaughterhouse parasite in mass numbers, with some different mechanics, and there will be two teams on the same mission.

If you want to sign up for the A team or B team, comment here with which one you want. They both have the same task but they're traveling separately. C team may be opened but this depends entirely on demand. Each team will have five characters. With that, here's the squad list for arc 3.5, roughly so far.

Purgatory (Squad A): Artemis (CO), Soli

Purgatory (Squad B): TBA

Crackdown: DRMA Joint Forces Unit, Kodiak, Sage, Asia
