So, I have an idea for my first story with Wes.

It is set in the natural history museum in the Smithsonian, Washington D.C.

Wes and a gang of henchmen infiltrate the museum during the opening day of an exhibit of King Khosrau's crown. Pretty much, the whole scene plays out were in Wes empty's the museum, beats up all the guards, and is pretty much waiting around until another player arrives and then.. well, we'll see.

Personality: A bit of a recluse, Simmons doesn't see himself as much of a close team player, content to slave away in his workshop creating his armors and planning for massive threats, waiting for a reasonable opportunity to field test his creations.

Bio: Simmons never intended on becoming a hero, he was always enraptured with what he could make with his hands and imagination. That course lead him to create dozens million-dollar patents and sell them off often enough to keep him well funded. Naturally, he began pushing the envelope of what he could create, until he settled on building the colossi. Much to his annoyance, that level of technology drew the attention of Argus who forced him to become sanctioned. Still, he remains largely on his own, only deploying his suits when the situation calls for it.

  • Spatial Storage: Hellequin is able to store objects inside a personal pocket dimension. There isn't any real limit to how much he can hold at once, but each individual object must be fairly small. His rifle is the largest thing he's capable of storing. Objects in storage are held in a kind of stasis, where they won't rot or degrade in any way. He usually keeps small weapons, ammunition, and any sort of utility item he might need.
  • Builder (Artistry): A form of super-intelligence focused around building things far beyond the current tech level. Drawing from the user's own personality, history, and knowledge, every Builder has a unique sort of specialty which they work in. Hellequin's is Artistry. Anything he builds will take a great deal of time to finish, but the resulting creation will be beautiful, and incredibly potent.

Drawbacks & Limitations: As listed above, his spatial storage has a size limit, preventing him from munchkining the power the way other users might by storing nuclear weapons or some bullshit. Mostly knives, bullets, and other portable gadgets he's built and designed. His Artistry focus makes his equipment beautiful and powerful, but at the cost of time and material cost. As a more applicable weakness, he's prevented from making disposable, one-use objects like grenades without finding a work-around.

Weaknesses: Not really anything of note. The extra teeth occasionally cause him jaw pains, but that's about it.

Equipment and weapons:
  • Ěryu: A rifle with a stocky shape. Covered in a full gold trim with graceful carvings and a decorative tassel hanging from the barrel. Though its appearance makes it look like a ceremonial piece, its firepower says otherwise. The weapon is extremely powerful, firing large caliber bullets with more force than a gun of its size would normally produce. Easily capable of cracking stone or turning body parts into a fine red mist. Aside from opening the entire weapon up, Ěryu lacks a standard reloading mechanism. Instead, Hellequin uses his spatial storage power to instantly load new ammunition into the gun. He has multiple varieties of ammo to call forth at will, adding an extra element of unpredictability.
  • Tempora Explosives: Built by Hellequin in order to add additional firepower to his arsenal while working within the limits of his specialty.
    When thrown, these canisters explode in a fabulous display of brightly colored flames, like a more vibrant version of a traditional explosion.
    After the explosion, however, they implode in on themselves- and reform after the blast, intact, but with their explosive charge spent. Hellequin primes one before throwing it using his power, shunting the explosive charge from his pocket dimension into the device. Like his gun's bullets, he can use different explosive charges to alter the effects.
  • Hellequin Armour: Hellequin's costume. Done in red and gold, featuring scale-like body armor, a crimson plume on the right shoulder, and a horned mask. As tough as standard issue security armor, it has the additional ability to spread incoming damage over the entirety of the armor, lessening it and preventing damage in the process.

Personality: Smooth, Collected, Conceited, Judgemental. An artist and criminal in equal measure.

Bio: Gerard Xuan's past life would've been fitting for a hero. His first touch of the metahuman world happened when he was very young, when a being from a world just beside ours forced itself inside of him. The first visible change was the extra teeth. He tried to take a blowtorch to his own face to burn them off- which went about as well as one would expect, and only left him with burnscars that further warped his appearance.

With the face of a demon, he found himself in the same outcast position that many physically altered metas found themselves in. A low budget, somewhat shady travelling circus run by an enigmatic gentleman known only as Master Grimm served as his only solace. He worked double, as a fang-toothed 'freak' and a stage hand, creating props and stages that most artists would only dream of. Of course, he also met a girl. Aelin Alcott, a trapeze artist. The love story was fairy tale-esque, and of course, it had to go wrong at some point.

Gerard, finally beginning to feel confined and used in the Cirque life, made his escape. He made his way in the world, carving his way to the top and finding his niche- it happened to be robbery. The Gold Diggers were his creation, and the members of the team were brought together under him. And yet, he still knew that he had unfinished business at the Circus. He had someone to go back to. With the minor assistance of a certain telepath, he convinced Grimm to let Aelin walk away for free.

Escaped the circus, rebelled against the system, and got the girl. All in a day's work, really.

6'5, 127 lbs. Yellow, green scaly skin, black long hair, and glazed milk white eyes. Skinny and lean. Often wears a black hoodie jacket and jeans with a pair of sunglasses.

Suit or Transformation Appearance: Dosen't wear anything special, except for his black hooded jacket that has the green image of a cobra sprayed painted as an in-sigma.


Powers: -Snake Physiology: Has snake-like physical traits and senses, including venomous fangs, a forked prehensile tongue, which enhances smell, scaly skin, cold-blood, and elongated jaw.

The venom of the Andrew Marks consists primarily of neurotoxins, known as the haditoxin, with several other compounds. The toxins affect the victim's central nervous system, resulting in severe pain, blurred vision, vertigo, drowsiness, and beventually paralysis. If the envenomation is serious, it progresses to cardiovascular collapse, and the victim falls into a coma. Death soon follows due to respiratory failure. Bites from Andrew may result in a rapid fatality which can be as early as 30 minutes after the envenomation. Andrew's envenomation has even been measured to be capable of killing elephants within hours.

The venom he spits, however, is generally harmless on intact mammalian skin (although contact can result in delayed blistering of the area), but can cause permanent blindness if introduced to the eye; if left untreated it may cause chemosis and corneal swelling.

-Snake Manipulation: Andrew can control over a dozen all kinds of snakes within a 5 mile radius, summoning them to do his bidding, like helping him during situations, using them against foes, and use them to see, helping him with his blindness. Andrew can also understand and communicate with them able to create strong bonds and friendships.

Drawbacks & Limitations: Can only control about a dozen snakes within five miles

Weaknesses: Andrew can't survive in cold temperatures, especially during winter, thus he must keep himself warm at all times, ether by wearing extra warm clothing or staying indoors. Ice based attacks can be quite deadly to him to the point of being fatal.

Equipment and weapons: Often keeps about a dozen knives on his person, used for either close up slashing, or long range throwing. Also carries a walking stick that really acts as bludgeoning weapon.

Personality: Andrew has a laid-back attitude and is often quite calm especially when with his snakes, whom he has a great love for. However, he gets shy and anxious around large groups of people and is distrustful towards strangers. Andrew is also someone who holds deep morals and is not afraid to question orders or what not if they conflict with what he feels to be right. Regardless, that doesn't stop him from getting nasty if he feels threatened and in danger. He is also quite clever when it comes to problem solving, aware of what he is fully capable of and can be quite creative in how to exploit his powers, often using his blind and nimble appearance to deceive enemies.

Bio:

No one knows where Andrew Marks came from and neither does he. He was simply found as a baby one day in the middle of August at the doorstep of an orphanage in San Diego, California. When the caretakers took him in, however, they were shocked by the baby's blind and most reptilian appearance. Nevertheless, the caretakers cared for Andrew and provided for him like any other child. They fed and dressed him as well as gave aid to his blindness.

Andrew, however, haven't received the same compassion from many of his peers. Due to his appearance, and venomous fangs, he had found himself ostracized by many of the other children, left out of games and fun. Andrew didn't find himself alone, though, as in his early years, he developed a unique telepathic ability to speak to snakes. It was through this that he made a strong bond and friendship with the Orphanage' s pet snake, Rango. The caretaker took note of this, as he made friends with other snakes, but left Andrew to his own devices in his friendship with the scaly creatures, watching carefully.

Other abilities would begin to develop as he got older as well. After ten long years of pure blindness, Andrew found himself being to see through snakes while relaxing outside at a nearby park. He would begin to use them like that of seeing eye dogs, happy to finally be able to see, no matter how weak actually eyesight might be compared to normal eyesight. After some time of using a knife to protect himself from the ill intended, the young boy also found himself able to control snakes, after unintentionally setting a bunch of wild snakes on a bunch of bullies after going too far.

Eventually, around the age of eighteen, Andrew got caught by the interest of the U.S Government. Intrigued by his appearance and abilities. For the next three years, Andrew Marks, under the alias of 'Snake Eyes', have lived at the William Nantz institute. There he gained a college grade education and further developed his powers to become a lethal fighting force. He has made friends and enemies along the way, but at the end, Andrew Marks left the academy stronger and more confident than ever, and eager to become the best superhero ever to help people.

Skills: Andrew Marks is a skilled fighter who doesn't necessarily need the eyes of his snakes, capable of fighting in total blindness as if wearing a blindfold. His fighting style involves a snake-like form of martial arts with a melee use of daggers. Is also a surprisingly good swimmer, a skill most likely from his snake side.

This is my second one, a hero this time. I changed the format a tiny bit because I wanted it to fit in a spoiler tag to take up less space. I revamped him after the Discord stuff, how about now?

Powers:
  • 6th sense awareness zone (detects everything within range).
  • Enhanced physique (capable of easily lifting weights over 250kg, upper limit at 760kg).
  • Enhanced durability (capable of resisting rubber bullets, sledgehammers, small blades).
  • Modern samurai armour (shrugs off most firearms below .50 cal and up. E.g. M14, AK47, rifles, .308 Winchester, 7.62x39, 5.56×45 NATO, .22 long rifle, possibly 12.7x99, not 12.7x105).
  • Fae Infused odachi (minor boosts to physical strength (upper limit risen to 900kg+); easily slices through rock, concrete, kevlar, and people; sword swings too fast for the human eye).

Drawbacks & Limitations:
  • Max zone range of 300 metres.
  • Beyond 200 metres zone can't pick out fine details and blurs (e.g. can't determine facial features, size, and small movements).
  • Zone only useful for combat within 5 to 30 metres (accurate enough to detect individual enemy hairs).
  • Weaker armour near joints.
  • Difficulty dodging firearms in armour.

  • Greatly reduced combat ability without equipment or sword, but improved speed.

Personality: Silent, stoic, humourless, honourable, despises those who break promises, treats criminals like scum, appreciates a good book, likes small animals, would spare most people if they surrendered. Most problems can be solved by cutting them.

Bio: Born and raised learning the way of the sword, his parents owned a popular chain of kendo schools in Japan. Unfortunately, Ken was born with a frail and weak body, which his great swordsmanship could never overcome. His parents, disgusted at his inability to succeed the company began tortuously experimenting on him until eventually triggering his latent powers. At the age of 19 he escaped, stealing the family's ancestral sword in the process. Reluctantly trusting the powerful interdimensional fae that resided within.

Knowing that his family would search for him, Ken vanished overseas, stealing expensive gold-titanium alloy from various criminal groups to create and maintain a special suit of amour. Something far too heavy for a normal person to wear, and too strong for the criminals to steal back. Now mostly known as Demon Samurai, he works as a wandering hero for hire, donning his trademark samurai-inspired suit of armour. All the while trying his best to fight against his sword's corruption. Searching for the origins of the mystical blade.

As Warlock Malcolm is basically in the passenger seat of his own body, with the Warlock spirit in control. Malcolm can fight for control and ultimately Warlock’s hold weakens over time but Warlock’s goals and methods often do not line up with Malcolm

BACKGROUND


Nationality: American
Hometown: Baltimore

Personality: Kind, Analytical, Nerdy

Bio:

The Warlock was a minor magic user and alchemist from the mid 400s AD who traded his humanity to fight the Atilla the Hun who murdered his family. Given incredible powers Warlock fought the barbarians and turned them back. With the death of Atilla the Warlock decided to take his own life and rejoin his family, only to find his spirit lived on and could find no rest.

The Spirit of Warlock lived on in a magical crest given to him by the dark powers he sold his humanity to, whosoever touched the crest and had magical potential would be possessed by the spirit of the Warlock obsessed with vengeance and justice. Over centuries the crest would be lost and found many times over the centuries, until its last owner met his end in WW2.

I made its way to America and languished in private collections for decades until it came to a the Smithsonian Museum in DC. A curator there by the name of Dcotor Malcolm Anderson touched the crest and the Warlock felt his latent magical abilities. The Warlock possessed Anderson and once again found himself in the world. Together they have fought crime and injustice for the past 4 months, working together and learning from one another.

Edit the weakness section and remove the mention of spells or magic. Warlock is not allowed to cast spells.

I was a bit curious about joining, had a few ideas for powers. One being inspired by Irish myth, something akin to Hulk's powers involving battle rage and mutative transformation. Another involves durability, strength, and explosions. Lots of explosions.

If neither of those work, I'll think up something else here. Both would be heroic, even if the latter more antiheroic.

Hey, thank you for the interest. Neither of those power groups are banned, just be careful of the power level of the explosions if you decide to go that route.

I noticed the Fae realm exists in this, before I get too far in ideation would it be possible for the Irish hero to be descended very remotely from some sort of demi-being of human and fae ancestry, as the source of the abilities?
