Personality: Generally, he is rather friendly and collected if a bit arrogant and aloof. However, he changes to another person when piloting. He greatly enjoys the thrill of “hunting”, during which he will become hot-headed, more arrogant, and will become nearly single minded in his pursuit of his target. He tends to disregard other pilots that he feels have not yet earned his respect.
Backstory: The son of the Silver Guards commander, Camille de Nevaur, Léon was born on the colony of Nouvelle-Toulouse. When was 2 years old, his father abandoned the family and he has since known nothing from him, his mother refusing to speak about the subject altogether. At the age of 8, he lived through the evacuation of the colony, orchestrated by his mother, in which the entirety of Nouvelle-Toulouse was abandoned. The following years, he was raised along with his younger sister Arielle aboard the flagship of the Silver Guards, the “Jeanne d’Arc”. He spent a good portion of his time surrounded by mercenaries, and began his military training from a young age, demonstrating a strong aptitude for piloting and combat. When he was 18 he officially joined the Silver Guards on the ground during their contracts, first as a ground soldier and a year later as a pilot, gathering experience and kills. At the moment he continues working for the Guard, yet focuses mainly on hunting and taking down other mechs.

Background: The Silver Guard, also simply known as “The Guard”, or disparagingly called the "Vagrant Company", was once a minor mercenary company based on the small moon of Nouvelle-Toulouse, on the frontier regions between the AIP and the RCMC. Nouvelle-Toulouse had been colonized by French exiles generations prior, and was the inception place and subsequent HQ for the Silver Guard since the inception of the company. The Guard would thrive as a mercenary company, investing heavily on the colony, over time one of the main institutions in it. As such, they garnished increasing amounts of influence on the moon, to the point of becoming the de facto defense force of Nouvelle-Toulouse. In return, they received a steady supply of soldiers and pilots to train and join their ranks from the increasingly militaristic populace.
However, things would change 16 years ago. The local star, Gallia, was suddenly expected to release a superflare in the very near future, which would decimate anything that remained on the moon. In a state of panic, and lacking the resources for a full evacuation of the colony, the local leaders simply abandoned the moon and everyone on it. During the colony’s time of greatest need, the Silver Guard´s commander, Camille de Nevaur, took the mantel of protector of Nouvelle-Toulouse and organized a planet wide evacuation, using the company’s fleet as well as any remaining vessel on the moon. Ever since, the now destitute colony remained with the Guard, becoming one with the company, and transforming their repurposed fleet into something akin to a spacefaring city, escorted by the remaining military fleet. They’ve since wandered the galaxy taking contracts from anyone that is willing to offer pay, supplies, and safe passage for their fleet.
