Denied the app doesn't make much sense in the history section. Did you colonize those planets or did you magically get them?

NS Name: Coruscanti Nations
Nation Name: Jotorun Grand Alliance
Species: Jotorun

Image
Population: 29 billion
Capital: Alsakan City, Joto Prime
Number of Systems: 6
History and Culture: The Jotorun began as humble Hunter-gatherers on their Homeworld of Joto Prime, which was a temperate planet whose continents were covered with a planet spanning forest, while great blue seas sprawled like carpets of pure diamond that shined as a coat of coruscant jewels in the void of space. The glowering shine of the sun glittered all over the planet’s dayside as the Jotorun evolved over the centuries, fighting many wars as they progressed from the Stone Age into the Medieval Period. It was in the Medieval Ages that the first Jotorun psykers emerged, and they were known by the superstitious Jotorun as wizards and witches whose powers wreaked havoc in a battlefield where armored knights and bow wielding archers were the standard. Cavalry charges were thwarted and destroyed as the psykers erected shields of psionic energy that caused the horses of the knights to trip down and fall as their riders were then slaughtered with the sword. The Wizard Kings commanded their armies with excellent precision, crushing their mundane foes whose faces would then be red with frustration over the superb skill of the psychic lords.

Many wars scarred the northern continent of Askasia, and the Temple of the Holy Sun was desperate to stop the infighting of the feudal lords. To this end, attention was drawn towards the wealthy Lokij Trade Empire of the south, whose religion happened to be affront to the Temple of the Holy Sun. To this end, the Temple of the Holy Sun’s leader, High Priest Karhinjon, declared a crusade against the infidel Lokij Trade Empire, who then responded with a force of its own. Another war exploded as the north united against the south, and a hundred years of crusades followed before peace finally settled over the land.

A thousand years later, the Jotorun entered the Post Modern Age, and though the world was still splintered between many nation states, there was peace and prosperity like never before. However, another war erupted as feelings of nationalism went high, and the First Great Conflict began as the powder keg that was Askasia exploded when the expansionist Rashardan Imperium invaded the neighbouring democracies of Kilijo, Sarkoshia, and Posera in an effort of ethnic cleansing and expansion. Before long, the war ended, and as the Alliance of Restoration fought the Rashardan and their allies in the Rashardan capital, a secret moon program concocted by the Rashardan was successful, leaving Joto Prime for its moon, Visak. There, the surviving members of the Rashardan nobility, their servants, and what remained of their armies kept their moon base a secret while the Alliance of Restoration celebrated its victory.

100 years later, the Second Rashardan Imperium emerged from the far side of the moon, bringing with it a fleet of space battleships and starfighters. As they launched attacks against the Interim Coalition (which was in essence their own United Nations), the splintered Nations of the IC, who have seemingly spent much of the past century in petty debates and issues, brought out their individual secret fleets, with which they fought the resurgent Rashardan. While the Rashardan had superior weapons and overall technology, the IC had better computers and tactics, thanks to the globalisation of the economy, allowing the IC nations to soundly defeat the Rashardan fleet. The IC captured the moon base after an intense battle in lunar orbit, and as they sweeped the area and combed the data archives, they found the schematics of a prototype of what seemed to be a warp drive. The Rashardan have not perfected it, and their last experiments had ended in failure. However, the Interim Coalition, which was now reformed into the Jotorun Grand Alliance, was determined to finish it. After several failed attempts using automated drone ships, the JGA finally managed to create the finalisation of the warp drive, which they then fitted both into their former secret fleets as well as to whatever Rashardan starships they captured during the Battle of Visak.

70 years later, the Grand Alliance has spread across five more systems. The largest colony was the colony planet of Darai Dhe Khassar, which housed a sizable population of colonists and a large carrier group. The other colonies were Jioser, Hayeujal, Montaru, and Spresu.

Now, the Grand Alliance moves towards the future, and it seems that the prospect of other species is coming near...

Culturally, the Jotorun are honourable, bound by a code of conduct, and are very religious, but they are, at the same time, inclined towards the sciences and technology. This is exemplified by the fact that Jotorun scientists are almost always members of the Cult of the Machine God, which is one of the many sects of one of the three major religions of the Jotorun, Sirithism. The other two are the Cult of the Trees and the Church of the Holy Light, which teach harmony with nature and its spirits (Cult of the Trees) and harmony, peace, justice, stoicism, and kindness (Church of the Holy Light). Minor religions include the Temple of the Holy Sun, which was once the largest faith in Askasia, but has been supplanted by the more attractive Church of the Holy Light.

In battle, the Jotorun can be expected to be unscrupulous, as their code of honour exempts battle from situations in which they have to exercise it. As such, they will not hesitate to use devious manoeuvres , or to surrender abandoned ships to the enemy only for these ships to self destruct once in enemy hands. However, they can never be expected to strike at civilian cities, or to take prisoners for ransom, as they, especially the members of the Church of the Holy Light, see this as affront to their beliefs.

The Jotorun do not keep grudges, but once a Jotorun ignites his plasma blade, he is ready to take a life if he has to.
Military Size: 10 million
Fleet Size: 240 ships

40 SRIS Sanctity Cruisers
100 ICSS Avenger Light Destroyers
5 ICSS Mirion Battleships
25 ICSS Atonement Battlecruisers
115 SRIS Justice Frigates

SRIS - Second Rashardan Imperium Ship
ICSS - Interim Coalition Star Ship
Military Description:

The Jotorun have applied automation for their ships so much that it has reached to the point that ships like the Mirion Battleships are fully automated except for a captain in a space suit. Their ships are usually crewed by skeleton crews, as most of the functions of their ships are managed by AI’s and droids.

ICSS ships in general are highly automated, with the average 230 meter long light destroyer having 20 crew members and a central AI that controls the ship’s functions, alongside hundreds of repair and combat droids. SRIS ships, meanwhile, lack the central AI, but are crewed exclusively by droid crews. In general, ICSS ships have less firepower, but are more coordinated and faster in their movements. SRIS ships have far greater firepower, starfighter capacity, and power projection, but are slow and cumbersome.

Jotorun warships are generally armed with spinal magnetic accelerator cannons, laser defense grids, and particle beam turrets, alongside missile launchers and torpedoes.

Edited my application as to explain Nuvradian expansion

*EDITED* With this new FTL technology, the Nuvradians bravely left their home planet in search of larger, more resource-filled planets, and sent colonizing missions to several neighboring systems. These missions did take quite a long time to complete, as once any religious resistance was demonstrated by any native species, war was immediately declared. After the completions of these civilizing missions and bloody religious expansion and gradual implementation of technology into Nuvradian society, these creatures have finally arrived at the epitome of spacefaring and have decided to venture out of their home systems, to unlock the secrets of the universe. A mission was recently sent from Sul Nuvrad into the Orion Cluster with the prospect of discovering more planets they could colonize, but not only did they find planets, the Nuvradians found that they were definitely not alone in the Universe.

I am hesitant to accept this as is. I feel like history could be developed a little better and really should be two paragraphs at the least. I read that you attack native species that had different religions than yours. I would like to hear more about that. Are these races still around? That sorta stuff.

So, my Shelhsh are in quite a spot- I can't do much with them until I conclude the Hive encounter, and in so far as the Universal Union well- they still think it's something it's not. With the CV Gelgrium being the only warp capable vessel they haveI can't really interact with anyone else (save the Universal Union) until another warp ship is produced.

Seeing how I am hopeful that the Gelgrum is offered use of the Hive's FTL enhancing structures to return home I am not certain such will happen. What I mean is well; 'This island Hsha' (referencing This Island Earth). Didn't realize how isolated I'd actually be but I know in time the Hshites in some form or another (they will likely change under Universal Union influence without a counter influence) expand into the stars- but right now they lack the technology to effectively rule multiple systems.

That would be interesting, although the Gelgrum would have to be hooked up to a larger engine frame to help decelerate it towards the end of the trip.

NS Name: Skarten
Nation Name: The Xarakh High Empire
Species:
Image
Image

Population: 48.6 Billion
Capital: Karathia
Number of Systems: 10
History and Culture:
The History of the Xarakh People begins a long, long time ago. Their planet, Karathia, was relatively calm, being the second planet of it's home system. Life on the planet began like many others, with creatures living mostly in the sea, then, when the situation was right, evolving to be able to go on land, eventually abandoning life underwater completely. The Xarakh were one of those species, their ancestors becoming amphibious relatively early when compared to the rest of life on the planet. This allowed them to grow fast, as they were yet to have an major predator race to cut down their numbers.

As life continued to evolve on the Sage colored planet, it's evolution continued on, as lifeforms began to get bigger due to the great amount of oxygen and the abundance of food in the land, with some rare beings achieving the record heights of over sixty meters. Between those, the ancestor of the Xarakh continued with humbler proportions, living nearby aquatic areas or deep into the Karathian Jungles, surviving with an Omnivore diet, an trait that was not seen in many other species.

The following events only took place millions of years after. The ancestors of the Xarakh people soon began to walk on two legs, slowly initiating their long walk towards sapience. It was not much later, with most of these beings walking upright, that they would too go about on using "tools" such as stones, sticks, bones and other items to facilitate their life. This began an domino effect, which, in the end, resulted in the discovery of fire.

With fire discovered, foods could now be heated, easing the digestion process, and in reaction allowing more blood to go to the rest of the body. This caused an great rise in intelligence, finally allowing these odd beings to evolve gradually into the most modern form of the Xarakh. Indeed, they were now by definition an sapient species, the most intelligent one on it's planet. Little did they know, this event was not exclusive to them, as several other types of entities had achieved this milestone. The most notable of those were the Ra'vini, the Ki'Ziou, the Bormi and the Luhizoi

It was no surprise, that only a few thousand years later, agriculture began to be developed, with small communities popping all over the planet. These communities began to grow, expeditiously turning into cities and towns, made either with brick, wood, or another basic components. This meant that more resources were produced, and thus were harder to manage, leading to the development of the wheel and the written language. These settlements then began to trade amongst each other, commercializing products such as utensils, resources, crude jewels and other items.

These cities and settlements soon turned into fully fledged civilizations, kingdoms and confederations of all types. The Metal alloy of tin and copper known as Bronze soon began to have widespread use, allowing for more durable tools of all types. Another important advancement was the domestication of the Khiraz, an tall, two-legged green being which could be mounted by most of the sapient species without difficulty, permitting for faster travelling.

Advanced civilization had finally come, and with it, came war. The first ever-recorded instance of a war between two civilizations was the so-called Molvirian Unification, with the Ki'Ziou Kingdom of Ma invading and conquering it's neighbour, The Kingdom Of Vizoria. Empires soon began to rise, with nations spreading across the surface of Karathia. It was around this time that the Xarakh began to distinguish themselves, proving themselves be an war-like people. Even more notable was their uncommonly violent culture against other species, fact proved by the continuous wars their nations engaged on. Oddly enough, this was not an standard held to themselves, as trade between those civilizations flourished.

Technology advanced, and soon there was barely any land in the northern, central and western continents that was not owned, at least in name, by an tribe, kingdom or empire. Agriculture was now a hundredfold more complex, with irrigation devices and iron tools becoming the norm for most of the globe. One of the many empires that grew in this era was the Javinian Confederation, An powerful league of kingdoms led by a single figure, who was known as the Ampatii ("High Integrator") . The duty of this person was to settle disputes between kingdoms within the Confederation and lead the unified armies of the league in wartime.

Their policies were simple, as any Xarakh state nearby it's borders would be offered membership. Refusal would lead to war almost guaranteedly, as such "offers" were nearly always only made to those the Ampatii decided could be taken on. However, other sapient species were not as lucky. At best, they would be given a sub-par position as a vassal, having to pay increased taxes to the throne, and at worst, they would be enslaved. In rare occasions, there were stories of entire peoples being genocided by this ever-growing threat.

On the other side of the coin, this expansion allowed for never seen before trade and commerce networks to be estabilished, leading to an period known as the "Age Of Gold", when technology simply burst off like a rocket. Water wheels, compasses, paper, windmills, lightouses, steel, eyeglasses and much, much more, all were advancements brought by the Javinian Confederacy's ingenious scholars and their vast array of resources.

But as all good things have to end, so did the confederacy. After the sudden death of an Ampatii who had left no official heir, nor had an suitable son for the position, the entirety of the league was plunged into chaos and civil war, as electors competed over the throne, affirming the validity of their claims from even the most obscure of marriages or deeds. This time would be later kown as the "Time Of The Twenty Pretender Kings". For over four hundred years, the claimants of the throne and their descendants would wage combat on each other, with every passing battle causing more and more of the hope of the return of the glorious days of the Age Of Gold to be lost. The last known candidate to the title of Ampatii was Kh'Arav Aupergar XXI, King-Elector Of Jaehara. He did not succeed.

Life, in the end, continued. Only a few centuries after the fall of the Javinian Confederation and the end of the "Age Of The Twenty Pretender Kings", commerce returned to an relatively good size once again, with information and knowledge from books and scrolls of the old times being shared across Karathia. New powers rose, such as the Northern Muljunir Principality, or the Eastern Xing'Hao Empire. This age in particular saw an rise in the power of the Ki'Ziou, who had been one of the first known species to create civilization, and the Bormi, who came to dominate the Valuable Southern Naval Trade Routes, estabilishing a monopoly over exotic goods such as the Fabled Mozbarra Spice or Korbati Beast Ivory. This commerce further boosted the economy of the world, increasing the knowledge and technology of the epoch, with imporant new machines such as the printing press, better maps, telescopes and microscopes amongst other items being brought to life.

An major breakthrough granted by this was the discovery of Gunpowder, or more exactly the invetion of gunpowder-based weaponry. Bombards, Cannons, Arquebuses, Muskets, Matchlocks, all kinds of new ways to kill the enemy on the field of battle. This kind of warfare was especially favoured by the smaller, more obscure species, such as the Ra'vini of the Central Steppes or the Luhizoi of the Western Continent. But in the end, little did it matter who had the most firearms, for a plague was about to hit Karathia, and it would be unlike anything the world had ever seen.

An virus, known simply as "Barat" to the inhabitors of the planet began to spread like a wildfire, quickly contaminating an large part of the population of the eastern and southern continents, then travelling through sea to spread to the remaining land masses. Indeed, Barat's infectiouness was only comparable to it's ability to kill. It was a fact to any person worth their time that once infected with the sickness, you were as good as dead. Only a few were lucky enough to escape such fate, but not without great sacrifice. The only way to stop Barat available at the time was to cut off the infected arm of the victim on the early stages of the disease, not allowing it to spread. But there hardly would be situations in which the sickness was detected before it had spread trough the whole body, condemning it's host to the eternal sleep.

The situation was apocalyptical in Karathia. Peasant and noble alike, there was no difference. Entire Kingdoms, Entire races, entire species were put to rest by this vile scourge. Only the Xarakh, with their particularly tough immune system were able to survive, as Barat could be detected earlier in their bodies, and thus treated. Still, the cost was great. Over a fourth of the Xarakh population was lying dead after only a few years. To the people of the time, it seemed like this was the end, as if God had decided they were no longer worthy of the gift of life. Civilization on Karathia was on it's last legs.

Then, a miracle happened. After an particularly cold winter, the disease stopped spreading. There were still those afflicted by Barat, and they were hopeless, but no longer did the plague spread. They did not know this, but the seeming miracle was actually an stroke of luck. The Cold Winter, together with the mostly isolated pockets of population meant that the carrier of the disease, an small animal whose name was lost in the sands of time, was brought to extinction.

Recovering from this event was slow, but as all things to, it eventually the wounds began to close. The Xarakh were now the only remaining sapient species in Karathia, and thus a new age began. People began to immigrate, and countries began to expand without limits, as entire continents were now vacant. Whole cities, left alone, ready to be taken by new owners.

An fact that we must not gloss over is that, during this new expansion, society began to change. No longer would continue to thrive the old High Kingdoms, Confederations and leagues that had once controlled the Sage-Colored World. In it's place, came centralized empires, with even the lowest of peasants now made to pay homage to the nation itself, rather than to the current king. No more would local governors act as rulers of their own. And thus, national identities were born.

Once life had finally returned to normal and the continents finally returned to being populated, the economy skyrocketed. Now, all of Karathia was united under one species. Of course, there were still different nations with different cultures, but this was still an great advancement. And so, an revolution began as the first steam engine was invented. With this, A new era was brought onto Karathia, as machinery began to truly take off. With industrialization, what once required weeks to be made could now be constructed in a few minutes in a factory line.

Modernization in Karathia continued, as an industrial age took place. Hot air balloons, rifles, machine guns, cars, trains, vaccines, electricity, The radio, and much, much more. It was truly wonderful, even greater than the Age Of Gold. Karathia was now at the palm of the Xarakh, for never again would nature be able to damage them like the Barat did. But this is not the end of the tale, no, it is far from the end.

As time continued and the industrial age marched on, even more complex machinery was developed, all in an astoundingly fast rate. In no time, the Xarakh were able to develop imporant technologies such Rapid-Firing Weaponry, Planes, Basic Computers, refrigeration, radar, amongst other world-changing innovations. In the political scenario, the situation was obviously calmer. The Xarakh people began to get more and more similar, as cultural borders began to get blurred. The dominoes began to fall..

A few decades later, came in the Atomic Age, with it's new vast array of instruments from which to use. The majority of the empires of Karathia were now in one way or another allied to each other, through an complex network of treaties and royal marriages too complicated to even bother listing.

Yet another few decades passed, and the Xarakh entered what could be called the information age. Advanced computers, greater medicine and on and on. Politically, homewever, events began to unfold. As of now, the majority of the world was but a single culture, melded from the union of every nation of Karathia. This was possible due to the fact that the Xarakh had never truly gotten too far away from each other, their nations always bordering one of their own.

Thus, it happened. In an great day, full of festivities, parades, bands and much more, a new treaty was announced. Through this treaty, all the Empires Of Karathia would unite under a single banner, an decision which was welcomed with grand positivity by the populace. Karathia was now united, and there would be no more limits! No more pesky international treaties! No more need to worry about airspaces! No more limits!

To lead this grand union, an council was formed by the former leaders of the world. They would be known as the not so originally named "Imperial Council". The results were astounding, but not shocking. And so it was known, This new one nation planet of theirs would be leaded by High Emperor Kharo Hatai Karamanios I, from the House Of Karamanios!

This new empire opened many options for future plans, but the most notorious one was completely free exploration on space. Technology had advancing very quickly towards this point, this glorious point when the greatest deed of the Xarakh until now was done- an permanent, completely habitable colony on the planet's moon, Zyrathis! This was achieved through slight altering of the natural satellite's atmosphere, which by a stroke of luck, already contained most of the materials needed for life to bloom!

And from there on, it was only greater. Rocketry advanced and advanced, until it was finally replaced with the so called "space ships". Artificial Intelligence, too, was an great jump towards the future. Now, tasks that were later tought to be impossible proved to be easy, when done by intelligent machines. With Deep Space mining, forward on came more resources than they could ever ask for. On the side of warfare, an revolution had taken place. Plasma, Kinetic, Particle, Brand new types of weaponry not even tought to exist were created.

With all these wonderful tools, it was no magic that the Xarakh managed to expand bountifully. Taking over system after system, be terraforming it's land and atmosphere to be habitable or simply just exploiting it's resources, they were truly an interstellar force. As piracy become more commonplace and began to hurt, it became clear that there was a need for an naval force bigger than simply escorting ships and the eventual dreadnought. No, it was time for the might of the High Imperial Navy to return!

Warships of all shapes and sizes, with new weapons dedicated solely to the purpose of killing and destroyed, were tested again and again against all types of enemies they could possibly face in their journeys. One of the most notorious achievements was the mighty Wardroid, an new type of Artificial Intelligence designed solely with the purpose to work as an soldier! Be it on land,be it on the cold depths of space, the already mighty zeal and prowess of the Xarakh would now be accompanied by the perfection of the machine!

It is now the 7th Year Of The Reign Of Emperor Zihorus Karamanios LXVII, and life continues normally. There are ongoing plans for an new expedition into the wild systems to expand the border of the empire in at least five star systems within an relatively short amount of time.
Progress has begun recently, and soon enough, an base will be estabilished in the first of these systems. What will happen in the future is unknown, but through all of this, remains one single fact: The Xarakh High Empire Will Rise.

Military Size: 400 Million Active Personnel, Might be possibly increased if the situation calls for it.
Fleet Size:
60 Kurduz-Class Destroyers
55 Marati-Class Destroyers
45 Ozirius-Class Light Cruisers
40 Ghujar-Class Heavy Cruisers
30 Khur-Class Battlecruisers
30 Jatu-Class Battleships
25 Oldu-Class Battleships
15 Nappisut-Class Battlecarriers
--- Khzari-Class Fighters
--- Uzdrati-Class Fighters
--- Korbati-Class Fighters

Military Description: The Xarakh battle doctrine has it's basis on the imperialist culture they possess off- Their ships are without doubt great, and would obviously surpass those of an great other deal of alien nations, but it does not go without say that, in addition to the high quality, the navy is funded well enough that they can put these high qualities ship in great quantity, even bigger than that of their neighbors (Albeit they may not know that-I'm still not sure if you begin already having knowledge of the existance of other empires). To put it simply, when faced with the question on whether they should chose quantity or quality, the Xarakh awnsered Both. Backing their mighty fleets, accompanies an grand number of fighters of all types and sizes. The most common would be the "Swarm Droid" Fighters, named as such due to their great quantity in battle and overall cheapness to produce. They are mostly tasked with taking down enemy fighters, and in more rare cases, lighter ships or hostile turrets. Following them would be the "Bomber Droids", who, as obviously seen by their name, are bomber-class fighters, using torpedoes and other weapons to help take down enemy ships. Last but not less important in the Droid Branch, would be the unoriginally named "Special Droid Teams", Droid Fighters made especially for certain tasks. Usually, they tend to have overall better artificial intelligence, with more resources being used on their production.
Continuing onto the manned category, would be the bread and butter of any nation's armada. (Not technically in bigger numbers, but it is certainly way easier to spot them on the battlefield, as their use can be actually seen outside wartime and bigger battles.) Of course, i am talking about the good old manned fighter. Piloted by an member of the Xarakh High Imperial Armada's Starfighter Branch, these would be often seen on missions such as escort, pirate hunting and whatnot. And thus would continue the pyramid, with manned bombers, a few support classes, and so on and on. At the very top would be the pride of the High Empire, the Executioner-Class Squadrons. Composed only of the best of the best, the majority of it's members are technologically augmented cyborgs, an union between Xarakh and machine. There are a few more branches, of course, but those are not worth mentioning.

That would pose an interesting situation for the Imperial Union. As far as the homeworld is concerned the Universal Union is 'galaxy and intergalactic wide' due to them having taken 'Universal' at an assumed meaning. Not only that but, due to the as of yet to be posted dialogue- it could impact plans for the future. ehahha I'm wondering what sort of engine frame it would/will be.

I altered some things about my navy on the App.

1. I was using dreadnaughts in the wrong context, I think, and switched it to Pre-dreadnaught because that was more or less what I was trying to emulate. The iron ships of old.

2. Added one dreadnaught, subtracted a pre-dreadnought.

That fine? If not I'll change it back.

Activity in so far as the IC was just deminished a bit due to multiple co-writes being conducted at the host's request. As these co-written posts are completed activity should increase.
