”I’ve always been leery of the United Nations. The very concept is comically dichotomous. Nations putting their self-interests aside in the hopes of building a global community, holding hands and Kumbaya? I mean, honestly, it’s like kindergarten. Do you have rug time? I did love rug time.”

It was morning, in a little house on Columbine, across the street from the Catholic Church of Nortre Dame in Bethlehem. Salachel arose from the night's meditation. The angel, who's name, roughly translated, meant, "The Lord Has Forgiven", didn't need to sleep. Still, she found the meditation refreshing. It was also a period that her vessel, Chloe Clark, who was aware of the angel's activities, might sleep and disconnect from the things that her soul was witnessing.
Chloe believed in what Salachel was doing on Earth. She enjoyed the presence of the angel that had taken residence and control of her body. Her soul was content, most of the time, to be a witness and learn. Also, even after seventy-plus years together, Salachel still needed her advice when it came to 'acting human'. For the most part, however, Chloe was a silent partner.
Salachel looked about the bedroom of the house, a critical human might describe the home as 'spartan', but not severely so. The angel had become accustomed to the familiar furnishings that Chloe had helped her acquire. In each of the rooms, along with the tables and chairs, there was at least one small item that spoke of a devotion to God.
Now, Salachel, clothed her vessel in the usual style of a black skirt suit with a white blouse. The cut changed with the current fashion of the times, but it was always professional looking. The angel then checked it's vessel's appearance in a full length mirror. The tall slender body, the blue eyes in the pleasant face crowned with platinum blond hair was, in an alien way, more than satisfactory to the angel, who was in a way an alien.
Feeling that all was in place, Salachel transported to the private detective office that the angel maintained in nearby Allentown. Once there, it retrieved a small metal box that it had engraved some protective sigils upon. While the angel could have easily destroyed the enchanted rabbit's foot inside the box, one shouldn't needlessly destroy something that was not evil in itself but only a tool. It simply needed to be kept in a safe place.
Now, holding the box, Salachel transported to a relatively secluded spot, just outside the building that housed Division Six. The angel had heretofore avoided contact with the organization, but, with the rabbit's foot, considered it the best option for safe storage.
Salachel walked to the entrance and waited to be invited in. The wards about the building were quite impressive, so the angel decided not to simply go inside, but wait for an invitation.

Division Six HQ Building
Salachel regarded the two humans momentarily. All business, no manners. But the angel reconsidered, just because they're paranoid doesn't mean that something's not after them. Still, the implied threat rankled a bit.
What was also disturbing was the fact that the magical wards were now even stronger to the effect that Salachel might not be able to exit the building at the angel's own discretion.
The angel and vessel moved impossibly gracefully and smoothly as directed. The three of them then entered an elevator. The doors and the car moved very slowly, but then everything mortal was slow in the angel's perception. Salachel felt the car begin to descend and said to her human guides, "Be not afraid." It was an old line, but it had a history of working with much more primitive humans.
Salachel hoped that the guides might feel less fearful and was going to gauge their reaction when the angel 'felt' the familiar presence of another angel, not far away....

Although in my situation, most view my kind as no better than a demon anyway." Kasim spoke to his sometime case-partner. "Although old Marks should be quite used to it by now, demons are some of the more common and milder occurrences that we end up dealin' with in this line of work...Barry? Hey man, you okay?" Kasim saw the angel seem to go into an almost thrall-like state, before walking out of the room and walked down the hallway, getting on the elevator and disappearing just like that. The demon muttered something about the curiousness of the situation and Kasim shrugged. "He's never acted like that before, first time I've seen it. So what now? Do we proceed without him, follow him or...?"
Casiphia al-Fadhli
A woman who appeared to be in her early to mid-50s at least but had aged gracefully, with dark skin and a lion's mane of brown curls streaked with gray, her hazel eyes provided a stark contrast to the rest of her look. The pendant she wore helped keep the glamour spell in place for longer and with less effort than without it, but it was still not easy to keep it up which is why she didn't use it all the time. Her son was with the Division, probably on some case...maybe she could go to that little Emily's shop and buy some new ingredients. That would be a productive use of her time instead of simply sitting around all day, but she'd have to make it quick so she could go home and drop this glamour. Stupid rules.

The building look abandoned but those who were supposed to know it's true identity will know where to go and so did he to purge any data of Shifters activity, ever recorded, even though it was maniacal, suicidal task he still wanted to do it, he just needs to not get close to silver, he slipped through an opening in a chain fence surrounding the building, "The database should be on 3rd sublevel" he said to himself, and so he went to the nearest elevator, everything as Brandon Edincot remembered.
"1st sublevel" read the digits when the elevator stopped and young women, Jill Prescot went into it, "Good day Brandon," she said ", " Good Day Jill" they bought said to each other, " Where are you going?" asked Jill "To Database, i need some information from there", they both then stood in silence, Jill finally departed on 2nd sublevel, he now was on his own.
"3rd sublevel", he departed for the database, when he got there he found an eye scanner but fortunately someone was passing by, "Hey, could you help with the eye scanner, it doesn't seem to work, what a stupid machine", he asked the passerby, " Yeah, oh okay", as the person was scanning his eye he felt a pain, the amount of silver in the HQ was finally taking a toll on him, the delete needed to be done ,quick.
And now the door was unlocked, the secrets laid before him and he was to destroy them, he jumped to the keyboard but a flash nearly blinded him, he managed to stumble out of the database as the door closed and flashes of red light were everywhere a mechanical voice read, "Warning, Malicious Shifter activity on 3rd sublevel" over and over.
"Sh**, i didn't think about them installing eye scan system on comps too", he thought to himself while racing to get to either stairs or elevators, or for a handgun...

However; that doesn’t change the fact that she hadn’t planned on being tailed today. She turned around long enough to let Ambrosio explain and actually looked slightly amused at the thought of somebody needing to babysit her. “That was one time!” She said at the mention of her glamour spell failing and then said: “I appreciate your thoughtfulness, Ambrosio. But I’m seven hundred years old, I can quite handle myself. In fact, I doubt that I’ll even buy things heavy enough to need help carrying them.” They chatted until they arrived at the familiar storefront, she raised a hand to open the door. “Kasim’s at HQ, at least that’s where he told me he was going to be. You’ve seen him today, or have you not gotten the chance?” She kept the door closed while asking the question, then she opened it. The place was lined with jars filled with things both strange and familiar, while in an adjoining room one could see bookshelves. Charms of protection hung from the ceiling, and Emily was behind the counter putting away a particularly large and heavy black book.
“Miss Brose.” She just managed to slide it into empty space before turning around to see a familiar face...Casiphia, a woman (lich?) after her own heart. “Ah, you’ve arrived! I wondered when you’d come, Casi. Arsenic, eye-of-newt? Or perhaps a rare spellbook to add to your collection? And unfortunately no, we haven’t gotten the Necronomicon yet.” The younger witch joked and Casi actually smiled and laughed as if she still had facial muscles, well at least the world thought she did due to her disguise. “None of that, Emily. I’m just looking around today.”
“Well, if you find anythin’ let me know.” Shaking black hair out of her face, Emily lit a cigarette and placed it to her lips, eyes widening as if remembering something. “Meph! You lazy demon, have the new amulets come in yet?!” A frowning face peered at her from the back. “No, just like they haven’t when you asked an hour ago!”
“Whatever.” She shrugged and turned back to her customers, while the other figure had retreated back to whatever he was doing.

Inside Emily's Shop
As they chatted along the way Ambrosio remarked "It's not so much about handling yourself as it is about preventing a breach in the masquerade. We were lucky there weren't that many people there whose minds I had to mess with, but since then command is clear. I think Kasim got called up to the deputy directors office...they have a guest today it seems". Ambrosio had a decent nose on him and could smell demons miles away in part due to his experience with them. As both Casi, and Ambrosio entered the store he let her wander around before chuckling at something.
"Didn't they ever tell you that smoking is a bad habit...though I suppose for you the rules are bit different aren't they?" Ambrosio smiled as Emily sarcastically laughed remarking "what a funny man you are". Of course, if she were a normal human he most likely would chastise her since smoking kills more than enough people as it is. With witches, things were a bit different since they lived longer hell some reportedly could live for several centuries before age started to hit them like a rock. Regardless Emily was only half-witch so she didn't get the full benefits of bloodline, but at least she didn't have to worry about going crazy like some of the bloodlines do (due to incest).

" What other choice do I have?" He asked without wanting an answer, they both knew he must accept the deal if he wants to get out of there alive, "I accept the deal, just don't take my soul", he said to the demon then he grabbed the bracelet and pulled it from his arm.
"the pain!" He screamed as the bracelet nullified his powers, he started to go back through his previous disguises and then he managed to throw away the bracelet, now he was in his original form.
