Well of course, the system is not set into stone. Powers can be changed to an extent through bills and such but I’d be careful if you plan to introduce something like this in the future. If you get elected next election it will limit your powers yourself as Prime Minister.

Well I plan to consider it. I don't think we should be concentrating so much power into one individual. I feel it's important to support democracy, even at the cost of one's own political power. This is why I'm not a fan of parliamentary systems; they have a serious lack of separation of powers & checks and balances.
Then it's a lie. Everything Fox News says is a lie.

The Democratic Party shall choose as President of the Senate, Senator Nicole Stein. Further, Senator Tyler Ferrera shall be the Senate Majority Leader. The Party also invites the Socialist Union Party to nominate the chair of the Senate Majority Coalition (side note, we should come up with a coalition name; perhaps the Progress Coalition?) and we invite the Social Party to nominate the Coalition Majority Whip.

We also intend to introduce legislation creating the position of Senate President Pro Tempore, to preside over the Senate in the absence of the President of the Senate.

Riots Dissatisfied with Election Result

Image

Riots have broken out in various parts of the country including the capital city of Anneiv and the state Capital of Cammon, Ivritts City. These riots are calling for an absolute reform of the election system for voting to be by districts instead of states and dissatisfaction with the election’s results of a leftist dominated Parliament. So far, dozens have been injured and an infamous case of the death of an unarmed man in which a police thought he was armed with an explosive device has reached national news.

The Chief Advisor and Prime Minister may convince King Rajas II to declare martial law as it will fix the situation quickly however production in the area will reduce drastically the citizens may protest at a later time against authoritarianism. A lighter version of this would be deploying more law enforcement to handle the situation, which may either calm it down or flare it up even more.

Alternatively, bills can be introduced or promised to be introduced to the public that will satisfy their viewpoints and possibly calm down the situation.

The solution is completely up to the Parliament.

So bills can't be introduced in the Senate? Also, does the President of the Senate have the authority to not bring house bills up for a vote?

The President of the Senate has announced that the Senate's first priorities will be to take up constitutional and electoral reform, but as for the left-wing majority in Parliament, the people have spoken, and that needs to be respected.

The chief adviser will recommend that the king make a televised appearance declaring that the election results are valid, and that while some may be dissatisfied, the people have spoken, and it would be undemocratic to demand that result be overturned.

We will also work hard to propose a good economic policy for the country. This obviously includes a balanced budget, as well as low taxation. We also plan to introduce different bills to take a more market-based approach for different systems or areas of our economy.

We hope we can find common ground with other parties on these issues, that we consider really important for the country.

The Democratic Party doesn't have many revisions. Our only suggestions are more brackets in the income tax, and more money for science research.
Then it's a lie. Everything Fox News says is a lie.
Even true things once said on Fox News become lies.

The King Gives a Speech on the Riots

Image

King Rajas II has took the advice of Chief Advisor Berger to not only make a televised appearance to the nation but to speak in front of the members of Parliament in Anneiv that the election results are valid and that changing the results would mean "disgracing the most important freedom available in Asyaelom". The King has announced he will refuse any bills that will change the results of the election that has already been done, but will sign bills that seek to reform the system for future elections.

The King has also hinted towards martial law if necessary, taking the advice of Prime Minister Taper. While this seems unlikely if the situation doesn't get any worse, the King has threatened martial law if protesters begin to use even more violence and injuries or even deaths increase.

Other than these two points, the King seeks to maintain a neutral stance on the matter and act "purely for the safety and freedom of the Asyae people".
