I'm with you on that one, rather build up industry and research before I do the old expansion first.

I guess just more time to knock about trying to find a good settlement spot. All the ones I have found so far are fairly worthless, though at least not full of maluses.

I'm probably going to have more mineral enriched spots since my planet has a giant hole in it. Though hopefully I can find something that shows how it got blown up and how it still has life.

So I -think- the Initiative might be bringing a Research Facility online next month. Would anyone be interested in trade if I devoted my research to putting together a “Trade Lander”, or something like that?

I can go for that since I have the minerals to spare once the industrial center is up and running.

Cool. Presumably our two worlds, despite both being mineral rich, will have different ore profiles- so trading the rarer ores should bring in comparable profit for both of us.

Mine was either going to start research nanotechnology to start the splicing of things for better food and adaptation to the environment or start researching rarer ore profiles to increase general mineral production.

Was that freighter going to be added soon? Might actually aim for starship production, if it is, as opposed to colonization.

Also, are Industrial Complex bonuses going to be assessed planet-wide, or only in the settlement they are built in?

Freighter will likely be a naval ship and you'll need to build it. Just my guess.
